Brandon, What NFL CB do you compare yourself to?
Brandon Flowers (3:02 PM)
I would say Asante Samuel, as far as technique and how he breaks on the ball.
Tim (Arlington VA)
Brandon... we saw some big hits this season. Do you have a favorite for the highlight reel? Thanks!
Brandon Flowers (3:03 PM)
I would say my favorite is hwne I hit Drew Weatherford from FSU. I think he thought he could outmiscle me and it turned out the opposite of what he thought. So that was one of my favorite hits of my college career.
Mike
Did the Orange Bowl loss influence your decision as far as declaring for the NFL draft.
Brandon Flowers (3:04 PM)
No, the Orange Bowl did not influence me at all. I was leaning towards coming back at first, but after talking to my family I decided I should enter the draft.
Manny
Which team talks the most trash in the ACC?
Brandon Flowers (3:05 PM)
I want to say FSU. They talk a lot on the field.
John Bokel from Reston,VA
Battling NCAA Wide Receivers is one thing and you were very successful doing it, how do you take that success to the next level where players are bigger and faster??
Brandon Flowers (3:06 PM)
I think the kley to my success is being fundementally sound and having no fear. You have to be confident in yourself. That is how I made it from high school to college and how I plan on going from college to the NFL.
Mike: Blacksburg
What are you going to miss most about Blacksburg
Brandon Flowers (3:07 PM)
I will miss a lot of things, but it has to be my teammates. We were like a brotherhood, and that is hard to leave. And I will also miss those crazy fans, who would travel everywhere and made me always feel at home, coming from Floirda.
Steve from Staunton, Va
Who was your favorite NFL team growing up?
Brandon Flowers (3:08 PM)
It was the Cowboys. I loved when they had Smith, Irvin, Aikman, so ever since then I have been a Cowboys fan.
Philadelphia PA
Who was the most difficult player to cover in college?
Brandon Flowers (3:10 PM)
It would have to be Calvin Johnson. His size and speed made him very hard to cover. At that size his speed was incredible. And even if you could keep up with him he could still go up and beat you to the ball.
Daniel
What's in your iPod right now? Do you like the Killers?
Brandon Flowers (3:11 PM)
Nah, even though I know the lead for them is also named Brandon Flowers I do not have any Killers on me. But I will check them out. But I am big fan of Lil' Wayne and Jay-Z.
Tripp, Richmond, VA
Do you think the Hokies can repeat as ACC Champs next season?
Brandon Flowers (3:12 PM)
Most definitely. We have a lot of guys that came out, but I think the young guys can get it done. We are so well coached, that we will just rebuild and reload. A new guy will step in, just like I had to do. So I think they can repeat.
Josh (Blacksburg, Virginia)
What did you like so much about VT that brought you here from Florida?
Brandon Flowers (3:13 PM)
I loved the way to defense played together and the way the fans never sit down during the game, and the way the coaches and the players get along. It was like a big family atmosphere.
Kevin Gallagher (Philadelphia, PA)
Hi Brandon. I was curious as to which current wide receiver do you most look forward to facing in the NFL?
Brandon Flowers (3:14 PM)
To be honest, I do not look forward to facing anyone. Everyone is good. I just plan on to playing my game, week-to-week, and improving on my game. So there is not one guy I am really gunning for right now.
Brandon Flowers (3:16 PM)
Thank you to all the fans! I really appreacite all yourt support. And feel free to keep asking me questions next time, because you guys keep me going!
