Hey Jaycee what has been your greatest memory of playing in the Spectrum?
Jaycee Carroll (12:02 PM)
Most recently, my favorite memory has to be when I became the school's all-time socring leader; the fans made that really special for me along with the video tribute from school. Another great memeory is when we beat Nevada last year when they were ranked No. 9, and also our comeback win against Boise St. In both instances the crowd rushed the floor. So those are some my favorite memories.

What do you have to improve on to show the NBA scouts that you can play?
Jaycee Carroll (12:04 PM)
I have to become a better playmker for my teammates. My defense needs to improve. But even more so, I need a chance to play against players that they are considering and show everyone that I can play with them.
Colton Creech Cornish, Utah
How do you count your 20000+ shots during the summer?
Jaycee Carroll (12:05 PM)
Every Sunday night I take and type up a list of specific shots and different moves I want to make, and they go in increments of 5-25. So I will shoot 10 times and count how many I miss and mark it down. At the end of each the, I'll add up how many I made and missed and that is how I get my totals.
Scott (reno)
Toughest road environment in the WAC?
Jaycee Carroll (12:07 PM)
For us it would have to be NMSU. We have had a lot of trouble beating them there because of their size but also because their crowd is so amped up. Their student section is pretty brutal with the players and it can get pretty personal. The next toughest place would be a toss up between Hawaii and Nevada.
Dan (Logan, UT)
Hey Jaycee! Huge fan here from our Aggie Student Section! I was just curious about how difficult you think it'll be to take the WAC tourney on NMSU's home court...?
Jaycee Carroll (12:08 PM)
It will be very tough for any team to go down there. They are tough, and playing hard and they have a great home court advantage as I already mentioned. But if we can keep improving, we can make a real run at them. But it is going to take out team improving over the next three or four weeks.
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
Jaycee, Who was your fav. player growing up?
Jaycee Carroll (12:10 PM)
Growing up it would have to be Michael Jordan. I grew up in the Jordan era, and I always wanted to watch him. Btu I am also a big Larry Bird fan. I also enjoy watching Steve Nash and Brandon Roy (because I played against him). So those are some guys I like to keep an eye on.
Kevin, Las Cruces, NM
What is it about playing NMSU and you putting up career numbers against us?
Jaycee Carroll (12:11 PM)
I wish I knew because then I would do it every night. I do not know why I have been able to do it against NMSU. I guess I am pretty focused, and I know it will be a challenge. So I think NMSU just brings out some extra focus on my end.
Scott (Reno)
What do you think of Kemp? You two both went off here the last game in Reno, is he your biggest rival?
Jaycee Carroll (12:13 PM)
He is definitely a player who is very good and very skilled. He is a great baskeball player. It is very fun to play against him. As far as a rival, we both want to go pro, so he may be a rival. But when we match up, we play different positoins and we do not guard each other. But we, as a team, have to gear up to guard him and slow him down, and we did not last time and he went off on us and scored 35 points. But people I consider more of my rivals are people who guard me head to head.

What do you think of the WAC being a one bid league for the tournament
Jaycee Carroll (12:15 PM)
I hope it's not! It has been seven or eight years since that last happendd, and I think it would be really unfair if it turned into that. And that is one of the reasons why we left the Big West, it was to come to a higher quality league in the WAC. I think it would be a real disappointment if the WAC, suddenly, became a one-bid league.
Jordan (Slinger, WI)
Hey Jaycee: What will you miss most about the college experience?
Jaycee Carroll (12:17 PM)
That's good question. I have been thinking about it a bit. I will miss being with my teammates on road trips, and playing Playstation I in the hotels with them waiting for team meetings. I will miss waiting in the airports with them and going to different arenas and playing against rowdy student sections. There is nothing rowdier and more fun to be around than a college student section.
Ryan (Ann Arbor, MI)
Jaycee, What's the most important thing you have learned from coach Stew Morrill?
Jaycee Carroll (12:18 PM)
I have learned that hardwork, dedication and preparation will set you up for success both on and off the court. Those are the things I really try to ficus on in basketball and my academics at Utah St. You can find success if you work hard.
Jaycee Carroll (12:20 PM)
Thanks for all the questions. I hope you were happy with my answers! And I hope we will run into you guys and see all you guys at the last few WAC games that we have!
