Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:01 AM)
Good morning everyone! Ah, fantasy baseball draft season and NCAA ... a fine time of the year ... let's get right to your questions!
matt (ct)
I need to decide my keepers by tomorrow and need to protect a closer. Hoffman or Corpas?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:01 AM)
I don't think you can go wrong with either, but let's just say I have more concerns about Trevor Hoffman holding up than I do Manny Corpas. Hoffman sure seemed to slow down late last year, and he's getting up there in years. I'd go Corpas.
Charlie (Syracuse, NY)
Hola. Draft coming this weekend so I was wondering if you had any last minute advice on players who have been surprisingly good or bad so far this spring. I have heard good things about guys like Butler, Escobar, and Milledge so far. Any others?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:04 AM)
Called up my spreadsheet with notes on that to give you a few names. Among the good: Josh Hamilton, Aaron Hill, Billy Butler, Rick Ankiel, Manny Parra, Gil Meche, Carlos Marmol. Among the bad: Chad Billingsley, Brandon Lyon, Todd Jones, Barry Zito, Carlos Delgado, Rickie Weeks, Khalil Greene. Not that I'd let these results totally alter your draft strategy, just saying that it could be a buck or two's difference. (Perhaps more with a few of them.)
Joe (San Diego)
Hey there Tristan... hate to bother you with another closer question already, who do you see getting the most saves out of Gagne, Percival and Tony Pena?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:05 AM)
Hey, saves are an important category, albeit more of a crapshoot than perhaps any other besides wins, and at least you can somewhat forecast wins because they are tied into a team's overall performance and offensive numbers. Saves, not so much. I'll say Eric Gagne gets the most of that bunch, but none would surprise me as the leader. Just safer today to go for him.
James (NYC)
Tris- in a 4x4 league with no K's do I keep Harang or Gallardo?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:06 AM)
I'm probably going to keep Aaron Harang if only because I think he's a bit safer in the health department today, and more durable.
Eric (Fort Collins CO)
Tristan, sell me on a breakthrough year for Jason Kubel. Would you draft him over Jerry Owens for overall fantasy value? Thanks
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:07 AM)
Good, polished batsman, though given the choice, I'd take Jeremy Hermida over Jason Kubel. In other words, no Hermida buzz for Kubel, though he raked in the minors and I've got him being a nice little surprise to stash at the back of your outfield. Owens, meanwhile, might not even play regularly. He'll be 25 steals easy, I'd think, but I don't see him contributing much of anything else, because of the playing time concerns.
Jay (NY)
Tristan, I'm looking for a setup man with the best combination of two factors: good stats and chance to become a closer. Should I go with Betancourt, Broxton, Bell, Neshek or someone else?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:08 AM)
Nothing wrong with any of those guys, and I'd probably rank them as such, though I'd throw the names Tony Pena and Brian Fuentes into the mix.
Shaun(NYC)
One report says Brandon Lyon is just tinkering and hasn't thrown his curve all spring. Another says he is getting rocked and may lose his closer spot....which one is true? Pick Brian Wilson over him?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:09 AM)
He's the closer. That much I have heard definitively, and the games I've seen for the D-backs, they've been using Lyon in ways that suggest to me he's going to be the ninth-inning man initially. That said, I worry about his K rate and I think Tony Pena actually has the more suited skills to close, so don't count on a full year of saves from Lyon. Given the choice, yeah, I'd probably take Wilson, though it's close.
Chet (LA)
Last keeper, Jason Varitek or Joey Votto?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:10 AM)
Well, Votto might not even make the team, and judging by spring returns I'm expecting he won't, but I'll also say that Varitek is more of the kind of guy who should be a draft pick, not a keeper. If you can keep 'em forever without penalty, I'd take Votto, and that's even with the threat of a demotion in mind.
Jason (Scarsdale NY)
Is the late 2nd/early 3rd too high for Dunn when you replace BA with OBP?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:11 AM)
Nope. He gets a nice bump up in those formats. At least a round, probably two.
chris (westport,ct)
i took andrew miller in the last round.... does he have any upside?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:12 AM)
Yes but he's on a team that might not be a consistent winner and he's had a little bit of an up and down spring. I have a feeling Miller will be worth owning in deeper leagues (read: not 10-team mixed), but he's going to be streaky, the kind you need in and out of your lineups at times.
Cody Philly
Tristan, who starts at 2b for my squad, Kendrick or Hill, Thanks
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:12 AM)
Given the choice I'd take Howie Kendrick. He'll be pretty solid in batting average, a near lock for .300-plus, and shouldn't have much trouble cracking double digits in homers and steals. I don't know that he'll get WAY past 10 in either, but that's a nice player to have.
Allen (Asheville NC)
Hey Tristan, Mr. Karabell made a believer of Cust yesterday. May i please have your opinion? thanks
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:14 AM)
I agree and think Eric made some nice points, too. That said, if I'm in a league where it's batting average and not on-base percentage, I'm not going nuts for Jack Cust. I'd need to get some pretty serious batting average contributors before looking at him mid-to-late. But I will say this: I have a greater fear the A's are too stocked with corner outfield/DH/first base types to steal at-bats from Cust than I am him completely falling apart. So it means I believe in the kid, and I think he'll have some really nice hot streaks, just like he did last year. Say, fourth/fifth outfielder, but again, you MUST get batting average guys to pull up his number earlier.
AC (FL)
Tristan, What kind of a season stat line can we expect from Manny Parra this year?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:16 AM)
You know, with his health history and minor league track record, it could be anything from Adam Loewen's 2007 to Chad Billingsley's 2007. And I'll even admit, there's upside beyond Billingsley, but I also try to be careful not to overexaggerate a player here. It's a dangerous thing to do. I'm calling Parra a nice late sleeper, especially so in deep mixed or NL-only, and I think he needs to be in Milwaukee's rotation.
Ray (NC)
10 player keeper league that means 13 rounds of drafting. I am looking at trying to steal Kershaw in the middle rounds. Should I try & hope he helps me in the second half? Thanks
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:17 AM)
The way the Dodgers are talking about him, I wouldn't be surprised to see Clayton Kershaw become this year's Yovani Gallardo. Seriously, I'd probably draft him expecting that kind of impact. In other words, perhaps four months' production, but pretty good production. It means certainly, middle-to-late rounds of your draft, though make sure you fill your roster for THIS year before reaching.
Eric (Sarasota)
Kinsler or Kendrick?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:17 AM)
Ian Kinsler. Without hesitation.
Michael (Tucson, AZ):
What do you think of Chase Headley this year and as a keeper? I am thinking of picking him off of waivers and dropping Balentien - how much of a $200 FA budget would you spend on him?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:19 AM)
I bet you could get him for, say, $5-10, and I would do so if I could. I like Headley, a little bit forgotten after a brief trial last year that wasn't anything special. He's got a wide-open left field role to nab right now, and I bet he does break with the team. Let's say .280 batting average, double-digit pop, if he plays enough, and long term, top-10 third baseman. I'd drop Wladimir Balentien for that.
Eric (NY)
What's up with Cueto, does he earn a rotation spot and is he worth a roster spot over Westbrook?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:20 AM)
He should, and that is really a matter of upside versus experience. It's going to change based on format, and I'd probably go Johnny Cueto because I prefer the upside play in the rounds these guys generally tend to go. For me, Jake Westbrook is a decent streaks/matchups play for mixed. But Cueto, he could be an every-start type, you just never know.
Justing (Australia)
Pick one from Lester, Kershaw, Meche and Ian Kennedy. Need results early to replace Lackey, K:BB and WHIP are the ratio pitching categories, though I'm in love with the K. Thanks!
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:20 AM)
I'm taking Gil Meche. He's the one guy who doesn't seem to belong in this group. I call him a step above.
Jon (TX)
Tristan, How do you feel about Felipe Lopez this season?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:22 AM)
I feel like it's ridiculous that the Nationals really don't want him to start over Cristian Guzman or Ronnie Belliard, but to be fair, Lopez hasn't had a great spring and the other two have been fine. In other words, he hasn't earned a spot, so what right do I have to complain? Still, in NL-only leagues, I'd take a shot on Lopez's speed late. It's tough to find useful middle infield types in the middle to late rounds, and I'd call a part-timer with full-timer upside and 25-steal potential a fine pick.
Sean (Boston)
Going back to Balentien, what's his outlook this season?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:23 AM)
I really think he's going back to Triple-A. The Mariners face a roster crunch with guys like Mike Morse out of options, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Brad Wilkerson and Morse platoon initially. Let's say Balentien is a candidate to play regularly in the second half, only if the Mariners are out of it, and most people believe they will not be (me included).
The R (Pasadena, CA)
Yo Tristan, 10Teams/5x5...end of the 6th rd....Who do you like....C Hart or Francoeur?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:23 AM)
Corey Hart. More categories filled.
Mike (Denver)
Tristan, can you give a list of breakout rookies (think Braun) for this year (whether on roster now or later in the year, pitchers or position players)?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:25 AM)
There won't be a Ryan Braun this year. Seriously, that's the kind of thing that comes along once, maybe twice, in a generation. Not that I'm saying there aren't useful rookies, but let's not get crazy with where we place that bar. Usefulness? I'll put these guys over the bar in terms of rookies coming up midseason, a la Braun: Evan Longoria (I can't believe he might be demoted -- he SHOULDN'T be), Colby Rasmus, Jay Bruce, Clayton Kershaw, Gio Gonzalez, Wade LeBlanc.
Jay (CT)
What do Hafners numbers project as a 1b? Are Hafner and Bedard worth Prince?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:26 AM)
Not only do I think they're worth Prince Fielder, I think they're EASILY worth Prince. I've got Hafner in line for a solid, bounce-back .290-30-100 kind of year, and Erik Bedard's a top-five starter, easy. I know, Fielder has that 50-homer potential and this changes depending on whether it's a long-term keeper league, but I'd say you're making a fair, non-insulting offer there in a yearly format.
Mike (DC)
I drafted Jay Bruce last week. He got sent back down, correct? Do you think he's worth filling a bench spot with? We have five.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:27 AM)
My records actually have him still in camp, though it's pretty clear to me Corey Patterson is probably going to start there (Dusty Baker, ARRGGHH!). I'd say Bruce warrants a final bench spot in most formats. It'd surprise me if he hasn't made his case by, oh, say, June 1. And if he starts slow or the Reds look fine in center field, April is a fine time to make roster changes for fantasy. Chance on the upside now, I always say.
Kevin (LA)
What are your odds for Matt Kemp getting 450 ABs?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:29 AM)
Good, though I'm now saying that only because I have a little too much faith (perhaps unrealistically so) in teams doing the right thing. Kemp DESERVES at least that many. I wouldn't count on a lot more, but I say he's easily better than 50/50 to top that. Just don't expect EVERYDAY at-bats, that's all. Not gonna happen in an outfield so deep.
Sam (Chicago)
Can Edwin Encarnacion become an elite 3B option this season or should I look for an upgrade? Mark Reynolds is still avilable, so I could add him......
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:30 AM)
I'd put both in the same ballpark in terms of draft value, but I see greater upside in Encarnacion going in. Put him a few ticks ahead on the third base rankings, especially since in the long haul this year, Reynolds has a more talented eventual contender for his at-bats (Chad Tracy) than Encarnacion (Ryan Freel) does.
Jason(Need help in Toronto!)
Tristan, I need a replacement for Lackey in a fairly deep league. Some names available are Maddux,Bannister,Shawn Hill, Baker, Kendrick, James, Garland, Silva, Morales and Buccholz. Who do you like best in this group ? (Ive got Cain, Lincecum, McGowan, Gorzellany and Greinke as my other starters)
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:31 AM)
You're going to hurt severely for wins, I can almost guarantee you of that. It's your weakest category. Not that I'm saying you should make your pickup addressing that alone, but it's advice that you're going to need to watch the wire closely, and exploit matchups as you can. For now, I'd go Clay Buchholz. Again, upside. And it doesn't hurt he's on a good team. I'd probably look at Greg Maddux and Jon Garland next.
Kris (Lexington, KY)
I haven't seen any news about Zack Greinke so far this spring? Anything on how he's been performing so far this spring?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:33 AM)
Here are his numbers: 6.43 ERA, 14 innings, 14 hits, 10 earned runs, 3 homers allowed, 5 walks, 9 K's. Besides the homers -- and that's not a HUGE deal -- I see nothing in those stats that's terribly disconcerting. Don't change his draft rank.
Mike (NY)
OPS league with draft tonight. How do you feel about taking cabrera over reyes?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:34 AM)
Great! I like Miguel Cabrera for a solid, top-five capable season overall in traditional Roto, and in OPS leagues, he's a virtual lock to place higher.
DJ (Charlotte NC)
Do poor SP performances in spring training affect where you'd takle a guy (i.e. Rich Hill, Billingsly et al)? Thanks!
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:36 AM)
Only if you see something that's particularly troublesome in the numbers. Think a bad walk rate -- remember Noah Lowry's first spring week? -- or diminished command or velocity. I haven't seen, read or heard any negative reports on those two, though with Chad Billingsley, I'd be a buck or two more worried, perhaps. That's not going to radically change a draft ranking, it's more going to keep me from buying 100 percent into the hype of a guy like that. My blanket advice, as always, is not to get too wrapped up in spring numbers, EXCEPT when you can find a reasonable explanation for what troubles you about them.
Jake(LA)
Tristan, should I be holding onto Kerry Wood ? This Cubs closer situation isn't getting any clearer!
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:37 AM)
Yes, because Lou Piniella practically handed him the closer role with his statements earlier in the week. Reading between the lines, the only thing Wood's back troubles thwarted was his first opportunity to pitch on back-to-back days, which was the final thing holding Piniella back from a formal announcement. So, that tells you don't read TOO much into this, but yes, track it. And I say that merely because in my opinion, Carlos Marmol has had the better spring, period. If Wood can't get back on the mound by the weekend, then I'd be worried, though if you have the chance, stash Marmol for now to be safe.
Ted (Minneapolis)
On that note, Sherrill or Marmol?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:39 AM)
George Sherrill IS the closer, Carlos Marmol MIGHT be the closer. Generally speaking, if saves are your object, you want the actual closer, so that makes your decision. If you're OK with speculating, as I so often am, I think Marmol has the more valuable season. But that really can change from league to league; I know tons of mixed leagues where non-closer relievers are practically worthless.
Vartivar (NYC)
Please help!!!! 2nd overall pick in an obp (no avg) draft tonight. Who's the pick? Thanks!
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:39 AM)
I still say it's David Wright.
Tim (Bayonne)
On that note, Marmol or Gordon?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:39 AM)
No contest, Carlos Marmol.
Adrian Libertyville IL
Draft finished last night and I already got a proposed trade. Would you do this. I give Zito, Rollins, and Putz for ARod, Dunn and Jenks. I have good pitching so not going to miss Zito. But worried about Dunn.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:40 AM)
I'd press that "accept" button before the other owner wises up. A-Rod's the best player in the game, and that's not a huge drop-off at closer. So you upgrade Jimmy Rollins to A-Rod, which isn't much different from the drop from J.J. Putz to Bobby Jenks, AND you get Adam Dunn? Sign me up!
scott (ny)
Will Gagne begin the season as the Brew Crew's closer, or will it be Turnbow?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:41 AM)
If Eric Gagne is healthy it's going to be him. And the Brewers swear up and down right now that Gagne is healthy.
Mo: (Cali)
Hey Tristan, What rd would you target Lastings Millages? 10Teams 5x5 0-5 Keepers
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:42 AM)
Here's a case where we shouldn't let the spring returns get the best of us, though they do absolutely matter in the case of a guy like Milledge. I'd say maybe by the 15th-18th rounds I'd be thinking about it. I'd be slotting him in as a fourth/fifth outfielder, no doubt about it.
ro (NYC)
What is your outlook on the following Yanks in an OPS league: Giambi, Damon and Abreu. Thanks
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:43 AM)
I think Bobby Abreu's value bumps up a few spots, perhaps up to a round, Johnny Damon's drops a few, because OPS isn't exactly a great category for him. As for Jason Giambi, he's helped in such a format, though I'm not that wild about him as a pick overall. I suppose he's safer in OPS leagues, but I can't see him playing every day. Late-rounder at best.
Jim McB (Arlington, VA)
How far has Lackey dropped in pre-season rank and auction value? And will he be a 15- or 60-day DL guy?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:45 AM)
A lot. For me, he's slashed almost in half. When I hear a guy is out AT LEAST a month and probably two, I have to start wondering whether he'll spend the whole year battling the problem (think Chris Carpenter a year ago, but sadly, his waited until right AFTER Opening Day). Hey, at least Lackey's news broke in time for some of us. If he was, say, a $20-25 pitcher before, I'm not going much beyond $10 now. Every buck past that is risky. Count on him being a 15-day DL guy; 60 days would sideline him through May, and the Angels claim he should be fine by mid-May. The 60-day DL is usually reserved for guys clearly out until the All-Star break.
paul (atl)
How much should i let these Harden to the yanks rumors effect how i value him?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:46 AM)
Zero. I'd be stunned if the Yankees paid the rumored price tag it'd take to get Rich Harden, which from what I understand would be Ian Kennedy and two other good prospects. Frankly, why's Harden any more assured of helping the Yankees this year than Kennedy is? It wouldn't shock me if Kennedy makes twice the starts! So no, I'm not changing a thing.
Jack (Pitt)
Slashed in half means which round in a draft?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:48 AM)
Well, if Lackey was, say, a fifth/sixth round pick, as I believe is where I picked him in a recent mixed draft, I think I'd call him somewhere in the early teens now. You can't just double the round; dollar values decline on a bit of a curve in the scale. For me, it's not so much the round I take him now; it's whether I feel I have four or five trustworthy starters to lead me that I'm willing to take the chance on a possible four months. Let's say probably ballpark 15th?
jay (philly)
I was the idiot who took Lackey over harden one day prior to lackey injury annoucement. I have no ace. what should I do?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:49 AM)
You're not an idiot, such things happen. It's bad luck. The good news: Pitchers are actually easier to get production out of off the waiver wire than hitters. Just be watchful, especially in the early weeks. Jump on every sleeper.
Bob (Greenville SC)
Will Andy LaRoche have any fantasy impact this year?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:49 AM)
Second half, probably. He's out I think what, six more weeks? Then probably to a rehab assignment.
jay (philly)
I meant Haren* not harden
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:50 AM)
It's still just bad luck, and nothing you can do about it. I'd have done the same at the time.
Lance (Texas)
Is this Connor Jackson's year?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:50 AM)
I think he takes a nice step forward to the second tier of first basemen, perhaps batting .300 with, say, 20 homers? Like the lineup spot -- he'll hit third -- and I'm thrilled to death that Tony Clark is gone, no longer threatening his at-bat total.
Gray (Chicago)
Take a flier on Blake DeWitt for this season?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:52 AM)
Deep NL-only owners, heads up, this is a name you need to know! It's a long shot, but DeWitt is currently getting at-bats with Andy LaRoche and Nomar Garciaparra hurt. That makes DeWitt reserve-worthy in NL-only formats, which matters, but no, I wouldn't pounce at a higher price, not yet.
scott (ny)
Who is closing in Texas? CJ Wilson is hurt, right?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:53 AM)
Last I checked Wilson was hurt, as was Joaquin Benoit, but the reports I've read also have both ready for Opening Day. It's probably going to be Wilson initially, but I'd take a flier on sleeper-worthy Kazuo Fukumori, who has looked great so far this spring.
Vic (Mass.)
Do you liek Josh Fields as much as TMR? Even with a pending demotion? Could you rank potential replacements like Kubel, A. Jones, Milledge, Bradley, and J. Upton? thanks!
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:54 AM)
I might be Fields' second-biggest fan on the staff, Vic! I love the power, though like the aforementioned Jack Cust, drafting Fields late means you had to be happy with your team's batting average status in the early rounds. By the way, I think it's ludicrous that the ChiSox want to demote the kid, but yeah, it's going to impact my opinion of him with the threat for real. So if you pick Fields, make him a late-rounder. As for replacements? I'd go Lastings Milledge, Milton Bradley, Justin Upton, Jason Kubel, Adam Jones, and all are close.
Mike (Albany, NY)
Tristan: With Uribe gone is Alexi Ramirez a good aiver pickup for MI. Thanks!!
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:55 AM)
He's not officially gone, just rumored gone. But yeah, bump up Ramirez. It sure looks like he's going to make the team, at least as a utilityman, and with Danny Richar his only competition at second base, I'd say a healthy at-bat total is in his future.
Nelson (Panama City)
Thoughts on guys like Sonnanstine and Owings?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:57 AM)
I'm more impressed by Andy Sonnanstine's spring than Micah Owings', though I'd probably barely rank the latter higher. I still call each only a late-round consideration, more in AL- or NL-only leagues as a mid-to-back of your staff type. Today I'm saying Sonnanstine is looking like the more interesting sleeper, though.
Jake (VA Beach)
Speaking of Carpenter, would you stash him on a DL spot?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:57 AM)
Absolutely. But it doesn't mean I'm reaching for him. Such selections are late-round or reserve picks for me. In my recent draft, I actually was thinking about him right after filling my active roster, so price accordingly.
Eric (Fort Collins CO)
Ramon Hernandez vs Bengie Molina. Who has the better year?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:58 AM)
I'll go Molina if only because he's going to be hitting in a more prime lineup spot. Close, though.
Jim (Albany NY)
Buzzer Beater, Will Sean Marshall make the Cubs rotation?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:58 AM)
Nope, no chance. Jon Lieber and Jason Marquis have pitched far too well.
Jim (NYC)
Quick: Ollie Perez's wins and Ks, or Adam Wainwright's ratios?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:59 AM)
I prefer Wainwright's ratios, but that's me. I know a lot of people with an insane amount of Oliver Perez love.
Jason (Scarsdale NY)
should I dump Towles for B. Molina?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:59 AM)
No, don't dump the upside play for a guy ranked around 10th at his position. Hey, Towles could break that ranking. Take a wait-and-see approach.
John (Charlottesville)
Jeff Kent or Aaron Hill?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:59 AM)
Kent. The history is too great.
Matt (Raleigh)
When Lackey goes on the DL replace him with Maddux or Parra? Thanks.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:00 PM)
Upside versus what you know. And here, I'd probably go what you know (Greg Maddux).
Buster - Okla.
FINALLY someone endorsing Bradley in Texas! No choirboys on the Cockroft squad! If he doesn't explode, isn't his potential not enormous?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:00 PM)
Hey Buster, we've got two Harrises who love Milton Bradley, too. I admit, high-risk, high-reward pick, but "high-reward" is touting Bradley appropriately. And I'll happily find scraps to plug in for the games Bradley misses.
aaron: (springfield, mo)
molina or Snyder - replacing Salty
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:01 PM)
Bengie Molina. Though Chris Snyder, for the rest of you, is having a nice spring and I think is legit.
John & Jeremy Ryan (Livin the Dream)
Do you like Ian Snell this year?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:01 PM)
Sure do. I just don't like his wins. Still, could easily hop into the second tier of starters, and you'll draft him as a third/fourth type.
antonio(Miami, FL)
Need your advice!!! in a vaccum beltran, loney & Ankiel for Byrnes, Chipper & Hudson?????your opinion?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:02 PM)
I'd stick with the former half. Just too much upside you're giving up for guys with more downside than anything.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:02 PM)
Well, that's all for today. Thanks for all your questions, and sorry if I didn't get to yours! Don't forget, check back later in the day, we'll be here to chat with you then, too! See you then...
