Blanco entered the MLS and came to the Fire in April 2007. In 13 games this season, he has four goals and six assists, which basically match what he had last season in 14 games. Prior to coming to the MLS, Blanco played in the Mexican soccer league.

What touched you the most about this experience?

We talked about what it's like to be a football player and how he can become a football player. That you have to keep working hard and believe in yourself. And you have to mentally believe that you can be a special soccer player.
