Buzzmaster (4:15 PM)
Andrew will be here in a bit. Send in your questions!
Andrew Feldman (4:23 PM)
Sorry all. There was 15 seconds until the first all-in and call and I got distracted...
Lucas (OH)
Is there a holdup at the main event. Your no where to be found. The WSOP.COM has not updated any hands. Is Schaedlich still in?
Andrew Feldman (4:24 PM)
He has $20,000. No, that wasn't a typo. He made an interesting call late in the night and couldn't hit one of a ton of his outs....
Chris (VA)
How's Matusow doing? Seems he's turned things around in his life and would like to see him do well
Andrew Feldman (4:24 PM)
He's doing great. In fact, we were all joking last night that if Matusow and Hellmuth make the final table, the world might end.
dwhit110 (Cinci, OH)
Hellmuth, Matusow, Khan, Chan, Cunningham, and Gus Hansen all still alive! This is shaping up pretty well... Who's at the featured table today?
Andrew Feldman (4:25 PM)
Hellmuth with Jean Robert Bellande and Adam "Roothlus" Levy
bastin
How many Pizza Hut Personal Pans have you eaten during the Main Event?
Andrew Feldman (4:26 PM)
Just 1. It was miserable.
Pete (MA)
I saw Phil Gordon busted out -- how did he break and did he cash? Thanks
Andrew Feldman (4:27 PM)
He did not cash. Very interesting hand where he had A-10 on a board of 8-6-6. His opponent held pocket fours and called Phil's over the pot size bet. Phil Bricked the turn and river and was out. He is however walking around and trying to encourage people to donate to the bad beat on cancer foundation.
Andrew Feldman (4:28 PM)
Schaedlich just busted.
Jimmy (Chesapeake, VA)
Wow - only $20K. That had to be a number of interesting calls. Do we need to wait until it airs to get information on the one you referenced, or can you give it to us now?
Andrew Feldman (4:30 PM)
It actually wasn't even being filmed. It was the very last hand of the night that he lost about $225,000. He had Kh-Jh, flop was 8h-5h-10d. He raised preflop and his opponent in the big blind called. Postflop, his opponent led out and he called. The turn was a J and his opponent moved all-in. With a K, J, heart or 10 he would've won the pot, but the river was the Ad.
Brian-NY
going from 800k to busting out is a sign of someone's luck running out..cant be that good of a player
Andrew Feldman (4:31 PM)
He ran AA into a set of queen early in the day which started him on the downward spiral. He was tilted and never really got back on track.
Pat (Chicago)
How many players are left?
Andrew Feldman (4:32 PM)
466
jeff (chicago)
what did Schaedlich's opponent have? two pair? overpair?
Andrew Feldman (4:32 PM)
Good point, never said that. His opponent had 8-5.
Dan (Hartsdale, NY)
How big would it be for poker to have Hellmuth make the final table?
Andrew Feldman (4:32 PM)
Huge, although his head might actually explode if it happens.
Pete (NY)
It's poker, who gives a damn.
Andrew Feldman (4:32 PM)
Thanks for entering the chat.
Dan (Nutley, NJ)
Now that we're down to a reasonable amount, if I gave you $1000 and told you to bet it on someone to make the final table, who would you wager on?
Andrew Feldman (4:33 PM)
Hellmuth.
Marc (Douglaston, NY)
How are some of the big names doing today? (Hellmuth, Chan, Matusow, Hansen, etc.)
Andrew Feldman

Major League Baseball Homerun Derby
What poker play would win me?
Andrew Feldman (4:35 PM)
Nenad Medic.
Adi Columbus, OH
Whats going on Andrew. Please answer my question since I have yet to get one answered. Do you think there is a realistic chance more than one pro will make it to the final table??
Andrew Feldman (4:36 PM)
Given the field that is remaining, absolutely. Ask me again tomorrow.
Shane (Des Moines, IA)
With the final table not beginning until November, how much talk is there about the possibility of collusion?
Andrew Feldman (4:38 PM)
People may talk about it, but wont e be dumb enough to risk their earnings and reputation. Everyone here will be watching for it, thats for sure.
Kent (Chicago, IL)
How much are people taking home for their 3 days of work if they bust at this point?
Andrew Feldman (4:38 PM)
A little over $27,000
rob (jersey)
Any celebs left, mma fighters, people who on day 1 you just couldn;t imagine being in?
Andrew Feldman (4:39 PM)
Nope, all we have today are poker players.
Leo (boston ma)
Andrew to your knowledge has there ever been an atempt to steal the money when they bring it out for heads up play? If so how was it stopped?
Andrew Feldman (4:39 PM)
There are guys with shotguns protecting it. I'm pretty sure that people aren't going to steal a brick of money and get away with it.
Brian Schaedlich, OH
Hey, if you see my chip lead around the Amazon Room, can you let me know. I seem to have completely lost it.
Andrew Feldman (4:40 PM)
You are now sitting next to me and reading these questions...
Erik (Boston)
Once down to the final table, is there any chance that the finalists cut a deal to split the prize pool? Or is the prestige and bracelet from winning worth too much for most to consider doing that?
Andrew Feldman (4:41 PM)
I'm sure there is a possibility, but who is going to want to give up the chance of winning the bracelet.
Andrew Feldman (4:41 PM)
There was a gigantic OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH just heard, followed by clapping...not sure whos out, but someone is.
Dylan (FL)
How do you see the featured table with Hellmuth, Bellande, and Roothlus playing out?
Andrew Feldman (4:42 PM)
I want to find out what happened before I answer this...
Hawflake, Chinatown
If you were ever in a position to make it to the money in the final table.. would you slow play to collect as much cash as possible or push and try to build your stack and risk it all?
Andrew Feldman (4:43 PM)
You have to have the desire to win this thing if you are this deep. I'm not folding to make the prize money, but to win the biggest event in the world.
Neal (Philly)
If Helmouth is shortstacked with 10 players left, could we have a November 10 instead of November 9? I'm sure ESPN would prefer it.
Andrew Feldman (4:45 PM)
I cant imagine that would happen, but seriously...thats not a terrible idea..
Justin (Rockford, IL)
What if something happens to someone who made it to the final table in November?? Death?? Jail??
Andrew Feldman (4:46 PM)
What if... As I've heard from the tournament staff, people will be blinded away...Its sick to think about that, but who knows...
Andy (Indiana)
So . . . what was the OHHHHH and the clapping about?
Andrew Feldman (4:46 PM)
No reports yet...
Andrew Feldman (4:47 PM)
According to Lance from Bluff, "Someone just went out that we don't care about...."
Dave(Minot)
Can you stay on longer today? Work blocks all the sites but not this one. I enjoy getting updates thru you. Maybe 3 hours more? lol
Andrew Feldman (4:48 PM)
I'll hang out for a bit, but I do have to post the stories...
Pat (chicago)
Andrew, what is this final table in November talk? They are going to play until the final nine and then resume the final table in November? Why?
Andrew Feldman (4:50 PM)
Tons of material online about this, but in my personal opinion, now everyone can watch the episodes without already knowing the ending...It will make these nine players celebrities and make poker's biggest night even bigger.
Andrew Feldman (4:50 PM)
Ok, just reported that Bellande got eliminated on a runner-runner straight. GG Jean-Robert. Couldn't survive that one. Sorry, had to do it.
Marsh (St. Louis)
What percentage of hands would you say result in somebody going all-in? What happened to trying to read oppenents and actually playing poker instead of shoving all the chips in and seeing which hand finishes on top?
Andrew Feldman (4:52 PM)
The benefit of the structure this year is that people are pushing less. Howeve, the short stacks are pushing preflop like crazy right now and I've honestly heard 3 all-in and a calls since I started typing this reply.
Nguyen (Chantilly, VA)
Who have the best chance of reaching the final table: Chan, Hellmuth, Cunningham? And what a final table it would be if all three make it.
Andrew Feldman (4:52 PM)
What a final table that would be. Out of the three, I think Phil has the best chance, but nobody wants to mess with Allen....Johnny is also hanging in there, but a little short.
Andrew Feldman (4:53 PM)
Shawn Sheikhan just jumped into third place.
alex(indian)
Will they broadcast the final table live?
Andrew Feldman (4:54 PM)
It's not live, but essentially will be. The heads up play will conclude only hours before we have a new world champion.
Brian (in Philly)
Does the person who bubbles out get anything special other than the thanks of a grateful (poker) nation? What about the person who was first out? thanks
Andrew Feldman (4:54 PM)
The bubble boy, Steve Chung received a seat in the 2009 WSOP main event.
Chris (Louisville, KY)
If Brian S. didn't play a hand yesterday. How much would he have starting out day 4??
Andrew Feldman (4:55 PM)
$700,000
Jeremy (Memphis)
Is Hoyt still in?
Andrew Feldman (4:56 PM)
You know it. He's another one to watch today and I'll be speaking about that in the blog which will be posted shortly.
Gurpreet (Vancouver)
I found from poker news that Chan fell from around 360 to 252 thousand near the end of play last night. Any info on how that happened?
Andrew Feldman (4:56 PM)
I spoke to him this morning and he said that he made one bad decision and couldn't get back on track. 3 more all-in and calls right now.
Andrew Feldman (4:56 PM)
another one....
Dan (Nutley, NJ)
Approx. how much does the chip leader have?
Andrew Feldman (4:57 PM)
$1.4 million. Jeremy Joseph is a live pro from Buffalo, NY.
Jack (Chicago)
What is the rule(I assume there is one) that prevents somone selling their chips in a tournament?
Andrew Feldman (4:57 PM)
You can't sell your chips in a tournament.
Jimmy (waltham)
What do you mean, that heads up play will conclude only hours before we have a new champion? wont we have a champion when there is a winner of heads up play like last year?
Andrew Feldman (4:58 PM)
Yea, that didn't make much sense now, did it? Ok, heads up play will conclude hours before it AIRS ON TV. Much better this time around.
Matt (Portland)
Are there any big name pros who refuse to play the Main Event? I keep hearing from pros how it is nearly impossible for a pro to win the Main Event now because there are so many players who don't respect their bluffs.
Andrew Feldman (4:59 PM)
If they don't play the main event, they don't want to have the chance of becoming world champion...makes complete sense....or not. Every pro is playing this event.
Jared (New Rochelle, NY)
How is Bax doing? And is bdbtslayer still in...heard he (who we all thought was a she) was still in on day 2
Andrew Feldman (5:00 PM)
Bax doubled up with quads about 10 minutes ago.
Andrew Feldman (5:01 PM)
We're down to 438
Poker Pros
OK, so what about the obvious advantage the break until November gives to amateurs? They will be able to study any pros game during the break. Have many well known pros complained about this?
Andrew Feldman (5:02 PM)
Imagine if you are an amateur, making your first WSOP final table, and have four months to think about it? The pro has been there an done that and they're looking at experience as the big factor in this situation.
Matt (East Hartford via Albany)
How much of the non-Main Event tourneys are we going to see this year, or will it be mostly the Main Event and $50k HORSE like last year.
Andrew Feldman (5:03 PM)
The schedule is online at http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker/wsop
Mike (Fairfax, VA)
Did Chris Moneymaker even buy in for the Main Event?
Andrew Feldman (5:03 PM)
Chris was eliminated yesterday
Gurpreet (Vancouver)
What do you think of Gus Hansen's chances? Looks like he just won a big pot and is up to around 750k?
Andrew Feldman (5:04 PM)
Gus is crazy, even though he has chips now, he could lose them in the next 10 minutes or be our new chip leader in an hour....never count him out, but due to his style, you can never predict where he's going to end up.
John(Philly)
Has Phil blown up at any body this year?
Andrew Feldman (5:04 PM)
Yes. On Day 2 a player at his table reraised him over and over and over and over again. He was very angry.
Marsh (St. Louis)
How many people do you think will be left after todays action? What about the average chip stack at days end?
Andrew Feldman (5:05 PM)
Considering we've lost 52 players already (422 remaining), I'm looking at between 150 and 200. Average chip stack will be nearly 300,000.
Sam (Boston)
Wow, so there won't be much time to edit and dub in Norm & Chad's witty banter for the final table, will there?
Andrew Feldman (5:05 PM)
A lot of straight shooting, hopefully they don't make too many mistakes.
Kevin (Los Angeles)
I want to see a rematch of the featured table between Matusow and Sheikan.
Andrew Feldman (5:06 PM)
So you're saying there's a chance....
Sarge (Lees Summit, MO)
If #667 got a free entry into next year's main event, doesn't that make #668 the true bubble?
Andrew Feldman (5:06 PM)
Yep, and we'll never know that guy's name.
Andrew Feldman (5:07 PM)
Ok, hate to do this but I have to get going. I'll be here for the next few days, and email all questions to poker@espnradio.com if you have any comments or questions for the poker edge podcast. See you all on Monday!
