Chris Puckett (3:56 PM)
What's up, everybody? Let's rock this.
Dustin (Indian Head, MD)
Puckett, given the recent team changes, how suprised are you by some of these moves? Things like Mackeo --> tD and Neighbor --> FB were extremely suprising to the community. Do you think that major changes were bound to happen?
Chris Puckett (3:57 PM)
I was just as surprised as everyone else. I think the team changes are awesome, with seven of our top eight teams making changes. I'm really excited for this Toronto event to see how it all plays out.
Mike - New Jersey
What are your predictions for Toronto? Who will be in the finals, and who will walk away as champs?
Chris Puckett (3:58 PM)
I can't really name a winner quite yet, but I would like to see a Str8 Rippin/Final Boss matchup in the finals.
Samuel (Fairview, NC)
Chris, Do you think that Str8 Rippin's charged emotions and desire for revenge against Final Boss and Neighbor are going to be a boost for them, or is it going to throw them off their game?
Chris Puckett (3:59 PM)
T2 is more driven now than ever, and I think that will definitely motivate Str8 to take their game to another level.
Jon Kefo, Illinois
Who is your favorite pro to talk to or hang out with?
Chris Puckett (4:00 PM)
I don't necessarily have a favorite, but I always enjoy talking to IGotYourPistola. That kid cracks me up.
Yosef Bruer Roanoke, Va
Hey Puckett love your color commentating just a quick question Is it hard to remeber all that information and backround information of all the pros. and what advice can u give to up and comers like myself
Chris Puckett (4:01 PM)
It's extremely difficult to remember everything, but I love my job and I love studying these guys and how they play. My advice as to how to get better is to put in the practice, focus on communication first, then your shot.
Bill Costello, Bakersfield California
Do you see Instincts chemistry as have having enough time to develop to a competitive level?
Chris Puckett (4:02 PM)
Whatup Bill! Even though instinct has had little time to practice with their new lineup, I know Walshy and thos eguys are ready and prepared for Toronto.
MLG D0G from KY
What is the most amazing thing you have ever seen in an mlg match?
Chris Puckett (4:03 PM)
It would have to be the TD vs. Str8 Onslaught CTF game from Orlando. It was the craziest/best game I've ever seen, period.
Venkat: (India)
Does kill to death spread mean anything in objective gametypes?
Chris Puckett (4:04 PM)
India!!!!!! I've seen teams like Classic and Instinct consistently get out-slayed, yet still win the objective games.
Chris Puckett (4:04 PM)
Which is a true sign of skill, of course.
Nick: (Dallas, TX)
What are some common mistakes that people make in CTF/King?
Chris Puckett (4:05 PM)
I can't wait to go to Dallas next. Common mistakes are people trying to do too much on their own without getting help from their team. They need to be patient with the flag.
Tyson: (Indianapolis)
Who is the best player in MLG?
Chris Puckett (4:06 PM)
Technically, Neighbor is the best player, but I also enjoy watching SnipeDown and Hysteria as well. They are all sick snipers.
Carbondale IL
Whats your take on the foundry map Onslaught, do you think that Onslaught will stay in MLG's line up for the remainder of Halo 3.
Chris Puckett (4:08 PM)
I think it's an amazing CTF map. It reminds me of Wizard in Halo 1. It's in my top three favorite gametypes, so you won't be seeing it replaced anytime soon.
Cody (Saugerties, New York)
What do you think of Team Carbon going into this event?
Chris Puckett (4:09 PM)
I think Carbon is one of the least prepared teams going into the top 8, but their natural ability will serve them well in the tournament. They've been a question mark for me all year.
Randy (Chicago)
Honestly, has Walshy skills dropped off a bit from Halo 2?
Chris Puckett (4:09 PM)
Statistically, Walshy performed the best on his team in Orlando.
Kyle (Virginia)
Hey, if Str8 and FB meet, who do think will win?
Chris Puckett (4:10 PM)
That's tough to say. I honestly can't predict. I hope it goes to Game 5, though. By the way, where are all the Canadian fans at?
Brandon Rutt Lancaster, Pa
which twins are better the ogre twins or roy and luncbox?
Chris Puckett (4:10 PM)
You gotta go with the Ogres on that one. They have the experience advantage.
Bill Costello, Bakersfield California
While I have no doubt that Team Instinct's players are prepared, my fears are for the Team's level of teamwork. On the flip side however, Most major teams have also under-gone huge roster changes, that will effect team dynamics. This seems like it might create some openings for some previously unknown teams to make a shining rise to the top. What kind of upsets do you think we are going to see this tournament?
Chris Puckett (4:11 PM)
I'm keeping my eye out for Ambush and Legends in this event.
Chris (Lansing, Michigan)
So, what team do you think improved the most from the team changes?
Chris Puckett (4:13 PM)
I think Instinct is going to be much stronger. Walshy and Soviet bring new life to their team.
Weston (Washington)
Do you think we will see any major team changes after Toronto?
Chris Puckett (4:14 PM)
Tough to say at this point. It depends on how the teams finish after this event. If one of the top four has a breakdown, I wouldn't be surprised to see some changes.
Chris Puckett (4:15 PM)
Thanks to all the fans who continue to support MLG, and make sure you tune in to the pregame show at 8 tonight, and of course, ESPN Saturday night, and Championship Sunday. Get Better Sunday!
