Stephania Bell (10:01 AM)
Good Morning and welcome to Week 11! I'll be with you for the first half hour to talk injuries - we know there are a lot of 'em so here we go...
Ron Burgandy (San Deago CA)
should i roll with larry johnson this week? OR slaton, williams....?
Stephania Bell (10:03 AM)
Not LJ - he won't get much playing time, probably a little, but not much. Slaton officially made the starter for Houston - at least for now.
Lawrence (Seattle)
Is Roddy White's knee still an issue?? How do you feel about playing him in a WR2 or flex spot today?
Stephania Bell (10:05 AM)
Lawrence: Well, it's an issue in the sense that it keeps him limited in practice - but he's been playing through it so expect him to play again this week. He hasn't been spectacular - but I still think he's flex worthy for sure, perhaps #2 spot (I am playing him in a
jon (nashville tn)
please help me stephania with my lineup because of the injuries. at my 2 running backs who should i start turner if he is active, jason snelling or ray rice
Stephania Bell (10:06 AM)
Jon - Not Turner - Snelling will get the start so take him and Rice
Amit (NJ)
any updates on C. Benson? Should I start Scott over McCoy if C Benson is not ready to go?
Stephania Bell (10:07 AM)
Amit: Benson is doubtful and no one really thinks he's going to play. Scott expected to get the start (against the Raiders). ALthough McCoy will see plenty of work in Philly, they may use their fullback as well - and we know they spread it around.
Rusty (Chucktown)
Who do you think is a better play Ladell Betts or Justin Forsett?
Stephania Bell (10:07 AM)
Rusty: Loved Justin Forsett last week (Betts had a good one too) but it's tough to start him against the Vikings D if you have Betts as an option
Christopher (Denver )
Maclin or Collie... I know Maclin is starting but injurred?
Stephania Bell (10:09 AM)
Maclin has nothing to be concerned about injury-wise. I think he has bigger scoring potential today.
mark (lets go orange)
Since Bush is out should I start Thomas over Kevin Smith.
Stephania Bell (10:09 AM)
Mark - Have to like Thomas today. Smith has been underwhelming.
Billy (CT)
Should I start Greg Jennings who is probable with that hip injury or Steve Breaston who has been producing well lately battling through injury?
Stephania Bell (10:10 AM)
Billy: This one is tough -keep thinking Jennings could have one crazy game to get it rolling but...Breaston gets the award for consistency, that's who I'd go with.
Shelly (Dallas)
Status of Orton?
Stephania Bell (10:12 AM)
Shelly: Remains totally murky. They will warm him up before the game to see how he's doing. Lots of hints that Simms should play (ORton still ailing, Simms all the first team reps this week(, but they want to hang onto the hope that he can still suit up. It's a late game - and unless you ahve someone you can switch at the last minute, I'd stay away.
jenn (nj)
Have a birthday party at chuckie e. cheese so will miss FFN...do i go forsett or maroney with P. thomas and s. jackson starting and need two out of walter, burleson, evans, henderson, meachem
Stephania Bell (10:15 AM)
Jenn: Wow - no FFNow at Chuck E Cheese??? I think Maroney still gets the majority of the work. I like Forsett but I don't like him this week b/c of Vikings. So I guess Maroney (Hard to believe I'm saying that) - Morris should come back but I expect limited time.I'm not thrilled with the WR choices - but I guess I go with Walter, Henderson (with Moore out) - although that could be a toss-up with meachem, depends on who Brees picks.
Seth (GA)
With Turner and Benson both injured who would be the better pick up, Snelling or Scott?
Stephania Bell (10:16 AM)
Seth: Scott likely only gets you one game b/c Benson expected back next week (barring some sort of setback) whereas Turner is dealing with a high ankle sprain and although Falcons aren't saying so, I do think this could cost him a couple of weeks.
Madison (CT)
Starphania, With Orton likely out, how will this effect Marshall's status? Would you start Marshall over any of these 3: Desean Jackson, Ocho and Megatron?
Stephania Bell (10:18 AM)
Madison: This is interesting b/c a few days ago I would have automatically said downgrade. But Simms has practiced with the first team all week and apparently looked good. He has a stronger arm than Orton and Marshall was saying how much he loves Simms' arm - so I still think I play Marshall.
Joe (Boston)
Good Morning, How is Antonio Bryant's knee, should I start him over Sims-Walker?
Stephania Bell (10:19 AM)
Joe: Don't think I would. While Raheem Morris was very excited about how Bryant looked in practice this week, they are still going to be careful with his knee given the recent setback - and probably rotate him a fair amount with Stovall. So I go with Sims-Walker.
James (Cincy)
What's the status of Garcon (questionable)?
Stephania Bell (10:21 AM)
James: Expected to play.
Ed (CA)
Good Morning Stephania! Please help me out with this one. Do you think Antonio Bryant will have a good game with limited snaps? Or should I go with Pierre Garcon or Roy Williams at my flex position? Also Cutler at home against Philly or Palmer at Oakland? Dallas or Pitt Defense? Keep up the great work with the injury reports! =)
Stephania Bell (10:22 AM)
Ed: Good morning to you too - and thanks! I would go with Garcon of the three - and Palmer at Oakland without question. Pitt D. Those are my choices.
shane (vermont)
will jermichael finley be good to go today......i have him or kevin boss
Stephania Bell (10:22 AM)
Shane: Finley is expected to play today.
Stephania Bell (10:24 AM)
Update: Denver Post reporting it will take an "overnight medical miracle" for Orton to play. Simms expected to start.
Stephania Bell (10:25 AM)
OK everyone - you are lucky enough to get the benefit of Jim's sage advice now as I hand off to him. Thanks so much for coming and good luck in Week 11!!
Don (CT)
Jim, I am in a PPR league. In need of some help. Now that Slayton is starting, should I start Slayton or M.Barber? At TE should I start Fred Davis or J.Carlson? AT WR please pick 3, D.Jackson, M.Colston, M Simms-Walker, S.Breaston, A.Collie? Thank you in advance.
Jim McCormick (10:31 AM)
Hey Don, in a PPR I'd like Slaton, as I think the scare for his job and a bye week will incite a nice total yards day out of him. At tight end, I like Carlson just a tad more than Davis, Minny isn't great against the position, as they're the most generous to opposing fantasy tight ends. WR-wise? Leave Breaston and Collie out.
Dylan (Frankfort, KY)
Flacco has had a really poor output the past few weeks, will this turn around?
Jim McCormick (10:33 AM)
Yeah, the Wacko support has become somewhat sane as Joey has been pedestrian since a hot early start. It's not just a function of the league adjusting to him and the supposed "sophomore slump" - it's also a real lack of targets for Flacco. If you believe you have a young franchise QB, get the kid some targets, at least Atlanta did so for Ryan.
Andrew (Indianapolis)
Any chance that BOTH Megatron and Kevin Smith are going to put up good numbers in the same game, even against Cleveland? Alternate choice at RB is Snelling, alternate at WR is Miles Austin
Jim McCormick (10:34 AM)
I'd actually play both Lions. Crazy, but true.
Josh (Virginia)
Mike bell or tim hightower
Jim McCormick (10:36 AM)
Hightower certainly lost some luster last week but also let's be clear that he's still entrenched and embedded in the Cards' offense. He remains a requisite presence on passing downs and both 'Zona backs should excel today. Bell, while he's had his moments, simply has an unpredictable workload.
Greg (Boston)
Hi Jim - Do you like Slaton or Moats better today?
Jim McCormick (10:37 AM)
I like Slaton over Moats, he remained their 3rd down back last week and Moats has long had problems in blocking, giving Slaton a shot to redeem and regain his gig going forward.
Jim McCormick (10:38 AM)
I meant vs. Indy in Week 9, rather than last week per Slaton. Word.
Gregg (PA)
Forsett, Forte or Cadillac?
Jim McCormick (10:40 AM)
As Chris Harris calls it- the Forte Vortex- you are trapped by his potential and promise, despite weak numbers. Forsett and Caddy both actually make for nice plays this week, but Forte remains a major threat in the passing game and Philly's undersized defense can be run on.
D.J. (Dallas)
I'm leading my league but losing Ronnie Brown really hurt my team and I don't know where to go from here this week please help Jim. Who should i start as my number 2 RB with Reggie Bush out Mike Bell or is Bennie Wells a better option? And I have Miles Austin should i put him in the flex or start the other RB in the flex?
Jim McCormick (10:41 AM)
I like Wells over Bell, but not by much. Both could be used to close out their respective games, but I think Beanie gets more chances to produce.
jim (akron)
tomlison or jacobs? and manningham or crabtree?
Jim McCormick (10:43 AM)
Jim from LeBronville, I like LT over Jacobs, who just hasn't looked the same- I'm wondering if he's Okoye'd. And at wideout I like Crabtree if for targets alone, with the Giants' receiver share too hard to predict.
miles (chicago)
what are your thoughts about p.thomas (saints) today
Jim McCormick (10:44 AM)
Given the recent rash of injuries amongst backs and his inviting matchup this week, I'd say I put him as a low-end #1 fantasy back this week and a top secondary option. 100 total yards and a score seems likely.
Bob (Seattle)
If you had to pick two RBs (RB2 and Flex), who would you go with? Snelling, Slaton, Maroney, Betts, Cadillac? Thanks!
Jim McCormick (10:48 AM)
Wait for on Norwood for the Falcons, if he's out, as expected, then I like Snelling to go with Betts. Slaton is a nice option, but I think with both Snelling and Betts you're getting 20-carries a piece, with goal line work included. I like Slaton enough, but would rather play the plug-in guys this week. Maroney cost the Pats the game just as much as Belichick's brazenness did, so I think he'll lose some touches on account, and Caddy
Jim McCormick (10:48 AM)
...and Caddy, he's likely to be limited by the score if not injury.
John (Pittsburgh)
Jim the trade deadline in my leauge is next week. I was thinking about giving someone d. jackson and l. maroney and getting r. williams. Would this be a god trade? Thanks!
Jim McCormick (10:50 AM)
I'm assuming Ricky Williams, and if so, then yes. As rapid as the market shifts, I'm not even sure if that offer really nets Ricky, but it's close enough. And no, it's not a god trade, but is a good one on the Ricky side.
Plaxico Burress (New york)
Hey, Jim......who would you play??? Calvin Johnson or Anquan Boldin in a ppr league? help me so i don't shoot myself in the leg..
Jim McCormick (10:52 AM)
It would be really impressive if you were able to pull that off in Rikers, that said, I like Calvin most, I think he proved he's truly back with last week's solid outing.
Jon (Boston)
Am I crazy for starting Snelling over Jacobs at flex this week? Betts and Mendenhall are already starting
Jim McCormick (10:56 AM)
It's not crazy to start the guy who is coming off a solid game that saw him rack up nearly 20 touches in just over a half for the Falcons, over a guy who simply hasn't looked himself all season. Now disregard all that, it's not crazy at all to consider Snelling, but I'd rather start Jacobs this week. I think he, likely too late, pays back his investors some this week.
Matt (NY)
Today is my chance to clinch a playoff berth, but Michael Turner seems to have other ideas, who do I start in his place, Bernard Scott, Forsett, or Betts?
Jim McCormick (10:59 AM)
Bernard Scott is hard to gauge. There's no real information to base his potential off of, as he wasn't very effective in short work last week and still has Brian Leonard and possibly LJ and maybe, although unlikely, Cedric Benson in the mix? Not a good scenario, despite the Oakland angle, I like Betts best given his pedigree and expected workload, with Forsett a nice plug-in this week, but limited by a stout matchup.
Big John (New York)
Hey Jim I had Benson and Reggie Bush and now they are both out. Unfortunately, other managers had a better waiver priority and picked up Scott, Snelling, Forsett, etc...Any suggestions of how I could dig deep at RB with and start today??
Jim McCormick (11:04 AM)
With byes over rosters are shoring up and already shallow positions like running back really are affected. That said, not knowing your league depth or size- I'll assume 10-to-12 team, relatively deep league and throw out Kevin Faulk as a capable plug-in in PPR formats, even Sammy Morris as an option (I really think Maroney's stock took a hit) for possibly a short score and late work eating clock, maybe Brian Leonard or Leonard Weaver, although that's a lot of Leonard. Next time, throw in some names your considering and we'll likely get a more precise answer together.
Goldie (Pittsburgh)
Do I roll with Marshall coming off the big week, or use MSW in a PPR?
Jim McCormick (11:07 AM)
Close call Goldie, and despite the Simms-factor, I still like Marshall more than the Hyphen. Buffalo's patchwork secondary has actually curbed most opposing wideouts- but more so, the Bills' rush defense is so porous it often limits the passing game.
Jason (VA)
What is the PPR value of the waiver backs of Snelling/Scott/ Forsett?
Jim McCormick (11:09 AM)
Forsett has likely enduring value given Julius Jones' injury and otherwise lack of awesomeness. Forsett already proved to be an emerging PPR value before getting the gig, so he's the clear best. Scott? He did well with his lone screen play last week but Leonard looms as an even more accomplished receiver. Snelling is just a really nice Bett-type plug-in, for this week- and as long as Turner is out, he has flex/number 2 ability, but it's not likely to last long.
TOM (NORTH CAROLINA)
Please no more Snelling vs Betts questions....try this instead: Jennings or Cotchery and Ryan or Fitzpatrick? Thanks!
Jim McCormick (11:13 AM)
I gotcha Tom, but you gotta understand that those backs are in play big time this week given the recent rash of injuries and with so few feature backs these days. That said, I like Jennings a tad more than Cotchery, he just has more upside. And you have to go with Ryan there, with Fitzpatrick simply hard to trust given that anemic offense.
Drew (NY)
since u never answer my questions, ill give once last go,u seem to be high on BOTH Betts and Snelling, but i have to pick one. So which one do i pick? OR do i sit breaston and start both rb's?
Jim McCormick (11:16 AM)
I do not get high off of running backs, but I will not take offense, and instead answer the question- I like Betts more, he's going to get the ball over and over and I don't see the Skins departing to the passing game, while Atlanta is capable of doing so. And to wrap it up, I sit Breaston and go with both backs, as I'm just a sucker for a starting tailback.
Luke (Chicago)
who's more valuable over the rest of the season: Wells or Forsett?
Jim McCormick (11:17 AM)
Both have very inviting schedules, but I'm gonna say Wells despite Forsett's seemingly bigger workload. I'd rather have the bruiser with burst that's emerging in a potent offense and should be leading often with a weak schedule. Now, if it's a PPR...I'd likely be swayed to Forsett.
Jim "Beetle" Bailey (AR)
Jim: How about a TE question! Heath Miller or Greg Olsen?
Jim McCormick (11:21 AM)
Beetle, what's good? I like Olsen, I mean, the Birds just are weak against the position and some of their linebackers and corners are off of Craigs List at this point. Miller always has touchdown potential, but he also has much more competition for the ball than Olsen.
C'mon Jim pick me! (San Diego)
You keep talking about the same freaking players it is rediculous! Try this question Jim Eli or Schaub? @ flex Mason, Bell, or Harvin?
Jim McCormick (11:24 AM)
First off, you are in San Diego, so relax, it's warm and sunny there. I don't write the questions, and the majority today are about a handful of players- because that's how it works- a few major injuries occur and those owners go spazola and stress over the Forsetts, Betts, and Snellings of the game. Really? Schaub hasn't earned a start over Eli yet. At flex, I like Harvin, who is well on his way to O-ROY.
Dev (DC)
An Englishman needs help! I'm in a standard league with Ocho starting in my team, and I need to fill a flex spot from Forsett, Cadillac, Devery H, Garcon and L Coles. Thanks!
Jim McCormick (11:25 AM)
Yo Dev, welcome back. Much to several chatters' chagrin, we're gonna say Forsett again. If this were Pee Wee's Playhouse, that could be the word of the day. So we all scream now.
Demetrios (NY)
Do you see D.Brown getting more than 4 touches this week or should I roll with DMC?
Jim McCormick (11:28 AM)
Both face rough front sevens, but I think Brown has more upside and the trust of his coaches.
Matt (Philly)
Hi Jim, Cutler or Hasselbeck this week?
Jim McCormick (11:30 AM)
I actually think the Seattle passing offense does well today, but I think Cutler versus a gimpy and depleted secondary should do well, despite the Delhommedness the moody Cutler has displayed lately. You also have to factor in that Minny pass rush, it's relentless.
Mike Sims-Walker ((Jax))
Jim, why do you keep on picking against me? I scored against the 3rd ranked Jets, but yet I can't against the 7th ranked Bills who will be stacking the box? Come on Man ...
Jim McCormick (11:33 AM)
I don't think I've picked too many guys over Hyphen so far, but I don't think you should too crazy over last week's effort- which was the result of some really bad tackling on Walker's TD, which did include Revis. That said, the Bills' pass defense is inflated by their league-worst rush defense, meaning- team's just run the game out on these guys. I think Walker does well, he's a number two in fantasy now given his clip.
RJ (Pittsburgh)
In a bad place here. Do i start Jamal Lewis or Beanie Wells?
Jim McCormick (11:35 AM)
I'd go Beanie, opposite ends of their careers and such. More specifically, being part of a great offense and one that has scored 5TDs in their last 15 is telling.
Santa Claus (North Pole)
Ho Ho Ho, Who would you start in an OP PPR spot? Palmer, Burlson or Scott?
Jim McCormick (11:36 AM)
Never really got the whole offensive player thing. Isn't it really just a chance to get another good QB involved (like Carson)?
Vince (Albany, NY)
ive been tryin all season but have yet to get through, i dont know what will happen first, the giants stopping their skid or me getting through, here it goes, donnie avery, braylon edwards or michael crabtree, who should i go with? (pick 1) thank you
Jim McCormick (11:38 AM)
Despite your utter lack of punctuation, the question is useful as many are facing these decisions. I'd go with Braylon, I think he gets some deep looks as the Jets play catch up. Avery is coming off of a nice week but now faces DRC from the Cards and Bulger could be getting chased down for most of the day. Crabtree, just isn't really going to do much in my opinion until next year with a full offseason and a rapport with whoever is QB there next fall.
Lisa (Mississippi)
Its cloudy down here, help me out Lee evans against JAX or Hurt Roddy White at NYG?
Jim McCormick (11:39 AM)
Put White in and walk away from the computer.
Mike (La Mesa, CA)
Which backup RB is the better option Bradshaw or Bell?
Jim McCormick (11:42 AM)
I'd prefer Bell, more of a real share and Saints will be in the redzone throughout.
Kurt (Kentucky)
Is Chris Chambers a good pick up with Dwayne Bowe possibly out and Bowe and Chambers being the only wr to catch a td on the Chiefs for the past 5 weeks?
Jim McCormick (11:46 AM)
Chambers is worth owning, and is a usable number 3 going forward it seems.
Jon (Iraq)
Jim, I am phonin' a friend.... Flex play LT or Smith (NYG)??
Jim McCormick (11:47 AM)
LT
Bill (Maui)
Aloha!!! Quick hit: P. Thomas or Mendenhall for a No. 2 RB with AP.
Jim McCormick (11:49 AM)
Good problems to have, I like Menden more this week, but Thomas going forward.
Dustin (IN)
Eli manning or Matt ryan who should be played
Jim McCormick (11:49 AM)
I like Ryan more, I think Eli, although facing the weaker secondary, could be handing off as the Giants run all over ATL.
Chris (Saratoga Springs)
maclin or braylon? addai or forsett?
Jim McCormick (11:52 AM)
Braylon and Addai, I think each of them scores.
Brian (MD)
i have cutler and garrard. who is a better start
Jim McCormick (11:54 AM)
For some sick reason I like Cutler today, sick because he's been throwing picks in bunches and because I'm a Philly. I think Garrard is watching MJD score a lot, not kneeling, this week.
Pitter Pat (Beansville)
Who you like at WR3: Walter, Nicks, Avery...Darn you Dwayne Bowe
Jim McCormick (11:55 AM)
I like Walter, quite a bit actually.
Everyone (Everywhere)
i doubt that NOT answering THIS Q is good for anyone, it involves a bunch of GOOD players, not emergency back-up bums! at RB, Flex and WR,please pick 3 of the following: Mike Bell, Forsett, Lynch, Jennings, Austin or Sims-Walker??
Jim McCormick (11:57 AM)
Somewhere in there was a point. I'd sit Lynch and Austin.
Brad (NY)
Mason or Burleson? Thanks!
Jim McCormick (11:58 AM)
While I like Nate to get back to actually posting numbers, I think Mason is in a nice spot against young corners for a team that will be trying to keep pace.
Taylor (Ontario)
Jacobs or Mendenhall?
Jim McCormick (12:00 PM)
Menden
Mike (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)
Eric on FF now said its raining in the Buff/Jax games. So who is better now? MSW or Miles Austin?
Jim McCormick (12:00 PM)
I like the Hyphen no matter the weather.
Jim McCormick (12:01 PM)
Thanks all, tons of questions today, keep them coming for Dave Hunter, as he'll get you set for kickoff...
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:03 PM)
Morning/Afternoon to Everyone...let's keep thing rolling along. I'll try to get to as many questions as possible over the next hour..
Hezi (Brooklyn)
Steve Smith of the giants or Steve Breaston?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:05 PM)
What a job Breaston has been doing for fantasy owners this season, huh? As the Cards No. 3 he's doing more than some No. 1 WR this season. Still, I'd get Steve Smith NYG in action. I really like the Giants passing game, and more importantly Eli Manning, to get back on track. The matchup is pretty good, too.
Tim (Toronto)
This is such a good question i dont know why you arent answering it. Maybe you hate Canada. PPR league need to start 3. S. Jackson, McCoy, Betts, Barber, Jacobs. I know i have great backs right?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:08 PM)
Much love to our northern brothers, so not sure what you mean here, Tim. I would start SJax, Barber and Jacobs. McCoy and Betts are tempting, but with Albert Haynesworth out of action, Barber has a real good chance to succeed.
Mike (Wilm, NC)
With Snelling the only option for Atl today, is he a better play than Forte?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:10 PM)
No, I would keep Forte in there. I have a hard time trusting Snelling, although what I've seen from him has been pretty good. I like what the Bears have been doing with Forte lately, getting him more involved in the passing game.
Mike Ditka (Chi Town)
Knowshon Moreno or Beanie Wells? Cothcery or Hester?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:13 PM)
Go with Moreno and Cotchery. You would think that Wells and his matchup would get me drooling, but I really like Moreno to touch the ball 20 times today, in a game where the Broncos are going to really need his services...with Orton out. Moreno gets at least one TD today. Wells still has to share a big chunk of the touches with Hightower, and Hightower will continue to be the redzone TD guy for the Cards.
Reggie (Anapolis)
Damn, Dave. You are slow.
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:14 PM)
I'll try to speed things up for you, Reggie.
Anthony (Philly)
Better DST, Pittsburgh or Cincy?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:15 PM)
I like both, but get the Steelers D active in this one.
Sal (Dallas)
Bradshaw or McCoy?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:15 PM)
Based on touches alone, I really like McCoy here.
DC (NC)
Am I thinking too much by starting Big Ben over Peyton?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:16 PM)
Yeah, you are DC. But, that's why we're here. Get Manning in there, no matter the matchups. I live and die with my superstars.
Todd (Hornell, NY)
Coles or Kevin Walter?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:17 PM)
Go with Walter. Schaub will target him plenty and the matchup is good facing the TEN pass D.
justin (minnesota)
would you start tim hightower or beanie wells??
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:18 PM)
Go with Wells. He's starting to take over more as the Cards 1st/2nd down back.
Henry (LA)
Is Forsett or mike wallace in the flex role
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:19 PM)
Forsett is the better option for you. He's going to get plenty of touches, he's a decent receiver out of the backfield and has a greater chance of scoring than Wallace does.
Matt T (MN)
Schaub or Warner.......thanks bro
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:21 PM)
Moving a QB to get an upgrade elsewhere might be a smart idea, of course depending upon the outlook of your roster. Very tough call between these two, but I'd get Warner in there. Both QB have great matchups, but I've got Warner throwing the ball a bit more today.
Josh (CA)
Help Dave.....Pick ME! Didn't get any love last week. Pick 2: Ochocinco, Sidney Rice, Steve Smith (NYG) and Desean Jackson. If you have time...Maroney or Hightower in a flex role? Thanks
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:24 PM)
Start 85 and S Rice. Love the targets Rice gets from Favre. 85 is an auto play anymore for me, even with Nnamdi on him. Keep in mind that Nnamdi isn't as much of a shutdown guy as he was last season, giving up scores to VJax, Bowe, Marshall this season. DeJax also put up high yardage on him. Go with Maroney in the flex. Even with the fumble last week I expect him to get the bulk of the touches for NE.
NEVER HAD A QUESTION ANSWERED , NOT ONE ? IN 11 WEEKS PLEASE (OR
ADDAI WELLS OR SCOTT TODAY?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:25 PM)
Start Wells.
jay (nj)
k.smith or sims-walker in a flex role??? thanks dave!
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:27 PM)
Sometimes we all tend to put a little too much stock into matchups, and this may be one of those situations, but I'd sit MSW in this one. He faces a Bills pass D that's ranked top-10, but some of that has to do with how awful the Bills are against the run. Either way, I like Kevin Smith's CLE run D matchup and that he'll get the ball a ton today. Start K. Smith.
JC (the-dirty-sota)
I've got a question, you've got my answer; just like radio shack, but better and much cooler. Need a fill in for Benson with him being doubtful...Steve Slaton, Justin Forsett or Jamaal Charles? Thanks for your help! P.S. How many questions do you get in a minute?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:30 PM)
With Slaton being named starter once again for the Texans, he's the one you want in action. There was never any question as to who the most talented/skilled RB was for the Texans, and like I said previously, I think it was more of a case where Kubiak was trying to make a point with Slaton. Start Slaton with his all-around rushing and receiving skills. We get tons of questions a minute...too many to count.
Brian (Illinois)
10 Weeks in and still no answer to my questions. I need 1 as my number 2 RB. Cad Williams, Forsett or Maroney?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:31 PM)
Give Forsett the start this week. He's got an excellent shot at keeping Julius on the bench from here on out.
Jenny (Dallas)
YOUR KILLING ME! I admit I have no life if I keep posting a question that nobody will answer so help me get a life. Megatron or Snelling for my flex
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:32 PM)
Go with Calvin this week. Don't overthink this one.
Simon (Chicago)
Cadillac or Ryan Grant ?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:33 PM)
This should be an easy choice for you, Simon. Start Grant. His consistently alone from week to week is enough to keep Caddy benched.
J.R. (Lansing, Michigan)
Hey Dave, I started out a blazing 7-0 but have lost the last 3 games because of poor roster management. I need help. Ladainian Tomlinson was solid last week, but Tim Hightower, Derrick Mason, and Michael Crabtree are all projected higher than him this week. Should I start one of those three instead of him? Is Denver's run defense really that good?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:35 PM)
Keep LT in action. Last week HC Norv Turner stated he was going to get the ball more to LT, and that's exactly what he did. The offense is going to start going through LT a bit more than, like last week. I wouldn't be surprised to see 25 touches this week from him. And, no, the DEN run D is not as good as the numbers show.
Daniel (Texas)
You really think Warner will have a better day than Schaub? Even after the Rams kept Drew Brees in check and Schaub is coming off the bye as one of the top qbs?
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:39 PM)
Yes, just a smidge better. Do you really want to base your decision on the Rams D? Come on now. Now, if you said Schaub's a superstar and faces a weak TEN pass D, then yeah, of course, go with your gut and Schaub. My gut says Warner, though. There's no clear cut choice here.
rob (pennsylvania)
burleson or marshall
The Answer Guys' Dave Hunter (12:40 PM)
I know Simms is starting for the Broncos and that does deflate Marshall's value a bit, but not enough to sit him for Burleson.
