Chris Low (1:00 PM)
I'm here. Fire away.
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
Chris, Was Tulane good or did Alabama just have a bad game?
Chris Low (1:01 PM)
Bad game for Bama and you could almost see it coming with such a young team after such a terrific performance in the opener
Eric/Georgia
As good as Moreno looked these past 2 weeks do you see him winning the Heisman to become the 2nd soph to win?
Chris Low (1:02 PM)
If I had to pick right now, I'd say Knowshon would be my favorite for the Heisman. He's getting a lot of pop nationally, is a highlight waiting to happen and is playing on a team that will contend for the national title
Chad (Savannah, GA)
Chris, if you had to pick the LSU vs Auburn game right now who would you pick to win?
Chris Low (1:03 PM)
Tough one. Both teams have limitations at the QB position. Both teams are great on defense. I'll go with the pattern in this series and pick the home team -- Auburn
Kevin (ATL)
Did you notice Randy Shannon's disgust with Urban Meyer stil lthrowing with a minute left to go and kicking that field goal? There was barely a handshake; have you heard anything on this?
Chris Low (1:05 PM)
Shannon was peeved and he should have been. That stuff is going to catch up with Meyer before it's over. Show a little class and either run the ball on fourth down or kneel down. You're up three touchdowns.
Jordan/Georgia
Whats it gonna take for South Carolina to beat UGA
Chris Low (1:08 PM)
For South Carolina to play way over its head on offense and Georgia to turn the ball over on offense. The Gamecocks are pretty good on defense, but this doesn't look anything like a Steve Spurrier offense. I think the Bulldogs will win big.
Nate (Madison)
Urban Meyer was all upset over UGA's touchdown celebration then he does that. Hopefully in a couple years Miami is back to old school Miami form and can hand the Gators a nice revenge plate.
Chris Low (1:09 PM)
Exactly. Now, he might say they needed to work on their field goal execution, etc. But there's only one message you're sending when you do something like that -- we're trying to rub your noses in it.
Drew (Athens, AL)
How good of a chance does Vandy really stand in competing with more established SEC schools this year, such as Auburn?
Chris Low (1:11 PM)
Their chances are better than they have been in the past. Vandy isn't going to win the SEC, but the talent level has been upgraded to a point where I think the Commodores can be bowl eligible this season.
David (GA)
Which SEC team was the most impressive last weekend?
Chris Low (1:12 PM)
Georgia .... Lots of playmakers on offense, one of the best three or four defenses in the league and a team that's hungry to prove it's for real.
James (Montgomery, AL)
If you had to choose between Randall Cobb and Mike Hartline for UK's QB right now, who would you take?
Chris Low (1:14 PM)
I think the Cats will need both. I wouldn't give up on Hartline yet. If you do this early, his confidence is shot. But I'd keep pushing Cobb as much as possible, Athletically, he's something else. He's still got to prove he can throw the ball against SEC defenses.
Dave (Washington DC)
Which SEC team has made the biggest improvement from last year to this year? And Why? Is it Ole Miss?
Chris Low (1:16 PM)
Yep, good call. Ole Miss will win some games in the SEC this year and had that game won at Wake Forest. I thought that was a bad call on the pass interference on the final drive. The big thing is getting everybody back on defense and getting them healthy - Peria Jerry and Greg Hardy.
Ryan (Orlando)
So you would rather have Urban go for 7 points instead of 3? Chris, it's okay that you don't like Florida but come on. If you don't want them to score then stop them. Kneel the ball? come on.
Chris Low (1:17 PM)
It has nothing to do with liking or not liking Florida. Rather, it has everything to do with showing a little class
Mike Memphis, TN
What kind of chances do you give Miss State for going back to a bowl this year? They're not looking great thus far season - is it back to the status quo for the Bulldogs?
Chris Low (1:19 PM)
The Dogs have got to get that offense going. It's just too much pressure on your defense to have to win 20-17 every week. This week's game at home is huge. If the Bulldogs can pull the upset, they could turn their season around.
Terry (ATL)
Hey Chris, LSU looks like they have a quarterback problem. Do you think that problem will stop them from making a potential run to the SEC Championship Game?
Chris Low (1:20 PM)
I wouldn't say they have a problem. Hatch was solid in the opener. What I would say is that they're limited. But I think they're so good everywhere else that if they just get steady play at QB, they're good enough to win it.
jack (iowa)
do you feel that the spread offense is holding auburns offense back
Chris Low (1:22 PM)
I did think it was a bit of a gamble to go to the spread, especially when you consider how successful Auburn's been as a power, TB-oriented offensive team. The key to running a spread is having a QB who can run it. We're going to find out if Chris Todd is that guy.
Jim (LA)
How much of a change do you give ASU to beat Georgia?
Chris Low (1:24 PM)
Any time you have to go that far to play a game, it's always tough. Plus, Erickson is one of the best in big games like this.
Justin (Dubuque IA)
Hey Chris, I still see Ohio St beatin USC even if Beanie isnt 100%, what do you think?
Chris Low (1:26 PM)
I'm not one of those to write off Ohio State just because the Buckeyes were sleep-walking last week. They will play much better this week, but Southern Cal's the best team in the country and will drive that point home Saturday.
Jake (VA Beach)
Did you come away from ND's game thinking they'll be lucky to finish 6-6 like I did?
Chris Low (1:27 PM)
If they're lucky ... 6-6. And that's with a schedule that's pretty forgiving.
Birmingham,AL
Any chance for Alabama to beat GA in a few weeks? IF how do you think it will effect the rest of their season?
Chris Low (1:29 PM)
Sure, Bama can win that game. For one, Georgia won't be getting home until early Sunday morning from its game out at Arizona State. That makes it a tough preparation week. Bama's good enough up front offensively to control the ball, too, and keep it away from the Dogs. All that said, I think Georgia wins. But a loss there isn't going to kill the Tide.
Kelvin (Dayton)
Not a Pro/Anti Trojan, but if you put Southern Cal into the SEC this year, how do you think they would do?
Chris Low (1:30 PM)
Really good question and I've thought about. I would say 10-2 or 11-1. A lot of that would depend on who's schedule they played. If it were Georgia's this year, I'd lean more to 10-2.
Derrick LD. (Sylvester, GA)
Will the Vols bounce back and possibly beat Florida, Auburn, UGA, or Bama?
Chris Low (1:32 PM)
The way I see it, with Tennessee's bad loss to open the season at UCLA, the Vols have four games that really become even more important now. They have to find a way to go 2-2 against Florida, Auburn, Georgia and Alabama. If so, they can finish this season with some respectability. If not, it's going to be another long offseason on Rocky Top
Chad ((Cascade, MD))
Can maryland win the acc this year?
Chris Low (1:35 PM)
In basketball?
David (GA)
After two weeks of games, who you think will play for the SEC championship?
Chris Low (1:35 PM)
I'm still holding to Auburn vs. Florida
Rob (Marietta, GA)
Is Matthew Stafford overrated, or is he bound to have a break-out year?
Chris Low (1:36 PM)
Definitely not overrated, and I think he is having a breakout year
Will J (Portland, OR)
Which SEC team has surprised you the most so far(good/bad)?
Chris Low (1:37 PM)
Good=Vanderbilt Bad=Tennessee
Chris Low (1:38 PM)
Thanks for the questions. We'll do it again soon.
