Any rumors whatsoever on an '09 sponsor for the #43? And, when should we expect an announcement about the driver for the second Petty car? Is it for sure McCumbee ... or is Riggs being considered at all?

have not heard a thing on a sponsor for the #43 and no idea when Petty plans to make an announcement, they have said they are still working on the 2009 drivers and plans, a lot up in the air there

a little maybe, last year Johnson finished 9th and won the championship, so can't count out Busch, Kenseth looks like he is in trouble a bit, not just in his finish at NHMS but the team seems down. Seems u can have one bad race and be ok, but if Busch or Kenseth have another bad race, they could be in a world of hurt

that is the rumor floating out there, twice now, two different sources, so there must be some talk going on there. If the GEM-BDR and MWR and Ganassi thing goes thru, and both to Toyota, have to expect Dodge to be out soon. Petty and Penske alone as Dodge teams ain't gonna work

nope, one bad race does not mean he peaked too early, he won in June at Dover, what happened at NHMS wasn't his doing, a mechanical part broke, lets see how he does at Dover, he is only 74 pts out

sure he does, but he better get white hot soon, he has been kinda just there all year, they are just a tad off, but now that Johnson is hot, if they can pick stuff up from the 48, he may get back in it.

why has Toyota busted on the scene and seemed to have way more success then when Dodge entered?

um, busted on the scene? last year they were horrible, cause they were with not so good or start up teams, they picked up a good team in Gibbs and things have turned around. Dodge actually won three races with three different teams in their first year back 2001, Ward, Marlin and Elliott

How much of a shakeup does HMS make on his teams in the off season - Letarte and Gordon split? Eury and Jr Split? Obviously Knauss and JJ dont split - who works with Martin in 09?

haven't heard of any shakeups at all, Eury and Dale Jr always fight like that. When they announced Martin to the #5 they said Gustafson would be the crew chief

over blown, the Jr's are known for fighting, they did it at DEI and do it now, Edwards had words with his crew chief before, they all do, Stewart last week, nature of the sport
