Combination of both. Without Merriman teams can focus more on Phillips. Cutler and his WR's look great too

I think it's between NE and BUF. I'm not sold on the Brett Favre trade yet.

Can we cool it with the San Diego's defense is horrible? I mean how quickly people forget this team was giving up 30+ a game for the first 4 weeks last year. A lot of the team is still shaking off the rust from not playing much in the preseason. Once they get rolling, they will be unbeatable the way the offense is playing

Limited value. He shoud get the ball more due to the QB injuries but defenses will load up to stop him and not sure about the o-line.

Did the 49ers just score 33 points? That wasn't a total fluke right? The Seahawks defense is actually pretty good. Is the NFC west gunna be won by a 7-9 team?

Cyrus. Your eyes are correct. They put up 33 with some help from Patrick Willis, They also gave up 8 sacks.

Five punts in the second half with a fumble. They couldn't sustain drives at all and did not look goodon 4th down.

For the teams it is a major hassle. The preparation each team put in all week is wasted.

Clearly defense was not the name of the game last night. Do you think MNF shed light onto Dallas' weakspots? The Zone D looked horrible, and Dallas's front 4 had serious problems getting the penetration needed to win the SB.

I disagree on the front 4. First of all, Philadelphia o-line is very good. Dallas is a 2 gap defense against the run and Donovan was scrambling all night in passing situations. His footwork in the pocket was excellent and went a long way toward extending plays.

Good point. Right now it looks that way. Eddie Royal was for sure. DeSean Jackson showed last night why some teams were nervous about taking him too early.

Give him some time, He looks to me like he full command out there and they finally have some weapons around him. Several teams would take him right now.

I don't suspect that will happen. Injuries have affected this team as much as anything.

Denver's O line, one of the youngest and least experienced in the league, has given up only 1 sack, which was just a technicality of the blown call on the Cutler fumble. Is this a sign of an extremely solid young group of guys, Cutler's awareness, or just 2 lucky games?

I don't think they were lucky. They may not have been facing the fiercest pass rushers in the first couple of weeks but give them credit. I like LT Ryan Clady.

I think its more on the QB. The've moved him around. They've let him throw from the pocket and on the run with the same results.

No. Steve is stronger, more explosive after the catch and hangs onto the ball near the goal line.

Tag, SD's defense also is w/o stud ILB Cooper and both Jamal Williams and Luis Castillo are trying to get back to game shape after missing preseason with injuries. Also, Cromartie & Weddle are regressing a bit. All that adds up to very inconsistant play. Its nothing that can't be fixed.
