Hey everybody this is Fantasy Guru "Mike" Garrow from a wet NH ..so let's get the partaaayyyy started...We'll be ending the chat straight up at 11:30 this morning so let's hit the gas!
Willie (MS)
Hey guru, thanks again for the continued support!!! Quick question; I know everyone is excited for Logano's debut, but could you tell me which teams chassis he is running? Is he running a Joe Gibbs car with the 96 number decal, or a Hall of Fame racing rig with the Home Depot logo? Any explanation?
Mark Garrow (10:30 AM)
Willie ..he's running a Gibbs car with the 96 number this weekend..Gibbs' guys have been taking care of it the whole time.
abingdon
is there anyone going to the back?
Mark Garrow (10:30 AM)
No
Janet (Ascutney Vt)
I hope you are having a great birthday weekend. I could really use your help in the b group this week. I have 1,12,19,43. I need 2. Do you know who gets the best fuel milage from these guys? Looks like another rainy day tomorrow. Thanks for all your help..
Mark Garrow (10:31 AM)
I went home to VT yesterday for the big Hawai "5-0" party..thanks for remembering..I'd go with the 1 and the 12..
Willie (MS)
Hey garrow, who is more likely to make a run at the chase? Tony Stewart or Jeff Gordon?
Mark Garrow (10:32 AM)
Tony Stewart
Mike (Clarksville TN)
Guru, I need one 48,11. Need two 1,12,88,18. Need one 96,44. Thanks for your help.
Mark Garrow (10:34 AM)
48 and 11 are two of the favorites to win this thing..For me I took the 11 because with Casey Mears as bottom driver couldn't quite squeeze Johnson on to my team. In the other group 1 and 88..12 is top-10 and so is 18 but he's struggling a little bit...96 or 44...I'm going to go with 44..Logano's first Cup race he's just about making laps and not getting anybody mad.
Kevin St clair shores,MI
Mark need 1, 20 or 11. Need 2. 1,6,12,88. Need 1. 44 or Lagano. Thanks for the help.
Mark Garrow (10:35 AM)
According to garage 11 a little better than the 20...1 and 88 in the second group..bothy are top-five potential..again lean 44 over 96.
Marcie (Bristol ,Tn)
Happy Birthday!!! I have to pick two out of 16,9,12,1,5,6. Thanks for you help
Mark Garrow (10:36 AM)
One of the guys is definitely the 1..the other one..I'd probably go with Newman who has top-10 potential..16 is pretty good too.
Daryl (Madison, WI)
Hey guru! 17 or 29? 66 or 84? I will be adding these to 48,20,and 11. Thanx!
Mark Garrow (10:37 AM)
29...66 and 84..don't feel all that great about either one..I just wouldn't go that far down the value ladder this week..Your top three are good..but think about putting 07 in for 20 to open up some more cap space.
JAG (Plainview, MN)
GURU GARROW... Rank these please 11,20,1,88,44,12,5,01. Thanks Mark I'm up to second in my 29 team fanasty!!!
Mark Garrow (10:38 AM)
11,20,88,1,12,5,44,01
big stone
Who do you like better Stewart or Hamlin?
Mark Garrow (10:39 AM)
The garage overwhelmingly likes the 11 a little bit better than the 20.
Bristol
Rank these 4: 1,6,12,88
Mark Garrow (10:39 AM)
1,88,12,6
Dryden
Do you think the 44 will continue its strong finishes?
Mark Garrow (10:39 AM)
I think they can maybe run top-15 today. Overall, this team is on the upswing.
Norton
Do you see Truex and Newman finishing in the top 10?
Mark Garrow (10:40 AM)
Definitely the 1 and I think the 12 might be able to sneak in there although teammate's crew chief says Kurt Busch a little better.
BOWLES: WICHITA FALLS, TX
I'VE GOT 48,11,20,1 SHOULD I GO WITH THE 41 OR THE 8 FOR MY 5TH PICK?
Mark Garrow (10:41 AM)
41 is struggling..they went with a different set-up than when they were here in the spring and they are just not fast. So, I'm giving the edge there to the 8.
Ted (Cleveland, OH)
What do you think Guru? 48, 07, 29, 1, 44?
Mark Garrow (10:42 AM)
Ted, I think that's a pretty sporty team today. If 44 can run top-15 you'll be in really good shape.
James: (Macon, GA)
Hola Guru this great Sunday AM. My thanks for a sweet run to 99th percentile in segment 2, all due to your superior knowledge. Whole new game now in Race for the Cup. Trying to lock in the right keepers for the 10 races. Two thoughts for NH. 1st-48,18,11,1,84 or 2nd-48,11,20,1 and best one of 41,8,22,7,84. 2nd squad and #41 are my choice at the moment mainly because of the better budget driver choice for this race. It may be smarter to take KyBu over TonyS from the start given the year he's had. What do you think? As always thnx for the excellent guidance.
Mark Garrow (10:43 AM)
Go with your second team and add in the 8..I went a little different. I made Casey Mears my "budget" pick and worked up from there.
Bob (Atlanta, GA)
Hi Mark, I won $$ the segment in SCC thanks to your help. Thank you! Here is my tentative lineup for week.#11, #20, #24, #1, #43 I may swap the 2 for the 43 and the 29 for the 24, your thoughts?
Mark Garrow (10:45 AM)
Anytime you want to send some love..aka $$ my way please don't hesitate...lol..the 2 is better than the 43 and 29 is better than the 24..but you have to think long and hard about any team that does not also include the 48 and 07.
Ed from St Louis
Hey Mark, your advice has led me to a top 20 finish in segment 2 and top 100 standing overall! Now I need your expert advice to keep me up with the big dogs. Which lineup should I go with: 48-11-18-1-84, 48-11-07-1-84 or 48-11-07-43-44. Thanks
Mark Garrow (10:46 AM)
18 is struggling a little bit..so don't go there..of what you gave me second team is the best potential..84 needs to finish top-20 or better though and that will be a challenge for him today.
Mark Garrow (10:47 AM)
By the way it again is raining here at Loudon but radar is indicating a break around noon so we may get lucky.
pj in duluth,mn
Hope you had a great birthday guru. Now give me a present and tell me who is going to win today!!
Mark Garrow (10:47 AM)
48,11 or 07.
chris,paradise ca.
looking for a budget pick, shuld i go with the 43 or 5? and why?
Mark Garrow (10:47 AM)
I'm leaning towards the 5. He's had two straight strong runs here and they like their car today.
dave, orlando

Mark Garrow (10:49 AM)
I like Almirola a little bit better.
mike , tampa,fl
hows this team: 07,48,20,1,8. JJ should be a lock for this segment. thanks
Mark Garrow (10:49 AM)
That's not bad..Need 8 top go top-15 and will be in high cotton.
Rob (Marietta, GA)
Good morning Mark!Couple of questions:2, 26 or 43?11 or 29?And how does the 18 look? I have to pick 2 of 18, 88 and 6.
Mark Garrow (10:51 AM)
If it stays cloudy..I'm going with the 26 over 2..11 over 29 but not by much...88 and probably the 18..Kyle struggling is still better than 6.
Bigdaddygriffin Ga
Well Guru its dow no the last 10 does Tony have That Chace to get that win today..What im saying really is the 20 or the 29 how good will theese guys be today.
Mark Garrow (10:51 AM)
I think both the 20 and the 29 will be good today..20 has a stronger chance to run top-five..but 29 might also be able to sneak in there.
Josh (Panama City Beach)
Hey Mark, doing a great job. Truex, Ragan or Newman for Loudon? Please pick 2. Thanks!
Mark Garrow (10:52 AM)
Truex and Newman
Charlie (va)

Smallblock Missoula, Mt.
Will the 24 be a good pick this week. The 9 or 12 or 6 the best choice. Thanks Keith
Mark Garrow (10:54 AM)
24 is okay..should be top-10..but I don't see a top-five based on they way people were talking in the garage.
Mark Garrow (10:54 AM)

Guru, who is better out of the RCR stable..Harvick or Burton? Does Burton have any momentum heading into this race? he likes it here.
Mark Garrow (10:56 AM)
I'm ranking the RCR cars..07,29 and 31..
Jeff - Morgantown, WV
Happy late birthday, Mark! What trio do you like better.....48,29,5 or 20,24,43? Thanks in advance.

48,29, and 5
Rob (Elkhart, In)
Good Morning Guru, How's this team 48,11,07,43,44. I have a good top three but am worried about the 43 and 44.
Mark Garrow (10:57 AM)
I don't feel all that great about the 43..So I'd be worried about him too.
Marcie (Bristol , Tn)
Harvick or Truex
Mark Garrow (10:57 AM)
Tough call..probably lean towards the 29..but 1 is good and will be again next week at Dover.
Guru Fanclub President (Garrowville)
Thanks for a great year so far...leading my league headed into the chase! let's keep it going: pick 1 (48,11) pick 2 (18,1,12,5) pick 1 (44,8)
Mark Garrow (10:59 AM)
48 and 11 is a pick-em today..really are..Second group 1..and probably 18..he's struggling a little bit though but should finish ahead of 12 and 5...44 slight lean over 8..but both are decent.
Rich (Chicago, IL)

Mark Garrow (11:00 AM)
Just like you have it..5,44,96
Joe (Philly)

JJ..Truex - Kyle
Frank (ATL, GA)
Who is the best low-range driver this week? Right now I have the 44, but I don't think the 8 will be too shabby, what do you think? If I take the 8 I can free up some $$ to upgrade:Right now my team is 48, 11, 24, 1, 44.
Mark Garrow (11:02 AM)
44 and 8 are pretty close to each other performance wise..5 might be a little bit better than both of those guys..but a little more expensive.
Mike (Dallas, TX)
Great guru, is locking up the big three and then dropping down to two budgetteers like Reutimann and Logano kind of money or is that too risky?
Mark Garrow (11:02 AM)
I think that's a little risky..and maybe not necessary..probably not necessary.
Beth WV
I found the #5 driver this week very hard to pick. Whos do you think is the bottom pick.. 44-43-2-96-26. Thanks a bunch GURU your the best
Mark Garrow (11:04 AM)
I think the 5 is the best bottom pick today and if not him 2 or 26..
Joe Settles Pomona Ca
How's this line up sound? 07, 11, 48, 1, 84
Mark Garrow (11:04 AM)
I just can't see the 84 doing too much today..need to spend a little more money on bottom driver..The rest of your team is rock solid..so if the 84 goes top-20 then maybe you'll be fine.
Marc (Gulfport, MS)
Mark-- Good morning! Please rank these midrange drivers, 12,1,6,19. Thanks!
Mark Garrow (11:05 AM)
1,12,6,19
Mark Garrow (11:05 AM)
1,12,6,19
Jeff ( Inglewwod)
which one is better - 48, 07, 1, 29 and 5 or 07, 29, 20, and 2. Thank you
Mark Garrow (11:06 AM)
I like the first team..but second one isn't complete.
Mark Garrow (11:06 AM)
Because I'm going to get off line right at 11:30 this morning. I'm going to take a few minutes now to send you the crew chief notes.
Mark Garrow (11:07 AM)
RCR, Gil Martin, Crew Chief Clint Bowyer...He said the whole weekend has gone great right off the truckand they have one of the cars to beat. Actually running a little better than a year when he won. They've hardly had to change anything. He thinks the RCR cars should be ranked 07-29-31...Harvicka little better than 31 and could possibly run top-five with 31 top-10.Martin thinks the 11 and the 48 are the other two cars to beat.
Mark Garrow (11:08 AM)
DEI, Tony Gibson, Crew Chief Aric Almirola...They struggled in thefirst practice yesterday, but then put the same set-up in the car that the 1 car had and got really good. Gibson said they were pretty happyand needed just a little forward bite and then they could be really good.He said they ran about 15th or so until the rain this past June andliked the way Aric could turn under people coming out of turn 2 during practice. He thinks they can run 10th to 15th. Truex, though, is top-10 or better.Gibson thought the best cars were 07,88,20, and 1.
Mark Garrow (11:08 AM)
Roush Fenway, Larry Carter, Crew Chief Jamie McMurray...He said he thought Biffle is the best of the Roush cars but they are good and nextin line. Thought the Roush cars should be ranked 16,26,6,99, and 17.Carter said that if it stays cloudy they can run top-five..If he gets warm and slick then they are more like top-15. He thought the best cars were 11,29, and 07.
Mark Garrow (11:08 AM)
Ganassi Racing, Brian Pattie, Crew Chief Juan Pablo Montoya...Pattiethought the practices went okay and this track suits his road racing style of dive bombing the inside of the corners. He said they actuallyran pretty strong the last race, but had such a lousy pit that they gotblocked in the three stops of the afternoon and lost 18 spots and couldnever get the track position back. This time car is running better andthey have a better stall. Their goal is to finish top-20, but thought theywere good enough to sneak a top-15. Pattie's favorites today 11,20,07,88 and 48.
Mark Garrow (11:08 AM)
Michael Waltrip Racing, Ryan Pemberton, Crew Chief David Reutimann...They are a little tight but with all the rain this morning a green trackwill actually help that for at least the first 50 laps and then trackwill go through a big change with rubber on it. He thinks they arepotential top-15. His favorite cars are 07,48 and 11.
Mark Garrow (11:09 AM)
Penske Racing, Pat Tryson, Crew Chief Kurt Busch...Thought his car was nottoo bad and running a little better than when they won the last time here.He thinks they are a little better than the 12, but both are top-10 good. His favorite cars are 48,11 and 07.
Mark Garrow (11:09 AM)
DEI, Kevin "Bono" Manion, Crew Chief Martin Truex, Jr....He thinks they are top-10 or better. He said their car had a lot of speed, but they hadto get the handling a little bit better.
Mark Garrow (11:09 AM)
Hendrick Motorsports, Tony Eury Jr, Crew Chief Dale Earnhardt Jr... Eury says the 88 was real good in the first practice then for reasons unknownto them was real bad in happy hour. They are making several changes this morningand he says they should be okay but anticipates having to make further changes during the race. Eury says all of the Hendrick cars have top 10 potential and ranks them as follows. 48, 88, 24, 5 saying Mears is not too bad as he usually runs thistrack well. He says the cars to beat today include the 48, 07, 11 and 1.
Mark Garrow (11:09 AM)
Yates Racing, Charles Cully Barraclough, Crew Chief David Gilliland...Cully says they are not very happy and neither is their teammate Travis Kvpial. Both cars are at best top 20 right now saying they seem to be able to maintain spotsbut have problems passing.
Mark Garrow (11:10 AM)
Gillette Evernham Motorsports, Rodney Childers, Crew Chief Elliott Sadler...Childers thinks the 19 is a top 15 car as they got it decent in the final practice. He saysKasey Kahne has a top 10 car and Patrick Carpentier will be out there to survive. Hebelieves the cars to beat are the 48, 07, and 11.
Mark Garrow (11:10 AM)
Joe Gibbs Racing, Mike Ford, Crew Chief Denny Hamlin...Ford says they are very happy with their car but warns today will be much differentas the track conditions will be much slicker due to the rain. He does feel like the 11and the 20 of Tony Stewart are top five cars however the 18 of Kyle Busch is struggling. Busch crew chief Steve Addington could not talk with us this morning as they were tryingto figure out what chassis adjustments they were going to make. Ford says the cars to beatare the 07, 11, and 20.
Mark Garrow (11:10 AM)
Red Bull Racing, Jimmie Elledge, Crew Chief AJ Allmendinger...Elledge says both Red Bull cars are just okay. Obviously both the 83 and 84 will be making adjustments to get better however to start the race both cars are top 20. Jimmie says the cars to beat are the 11, 48, 07, 29, 24
Mark Garrow (11:15 AM)

Happy belated b-day Mark... Whatcha think of this team... 48,11,44,8,5,84...
Mark Garrow (11:17 AM)
Thanks for the B-day love..but rethink your team forget about the 84.
Dog--Not sure where I'm at!!
I dropped the 18-99-17 everywhere. In practice there cars where pretty bouncy, while some others seemed much more stable. I went with 48-20-24, already have the 11. Am I going to be happy tonight, or kicking myself somewhere??
Mark Garrow (11:17 AM)
Yo Dog, I think you did the right thing.
East Coast Fans
Hope you have a great B-day weekend Mark! Thanks for all the help every week!
Mark Garrow (11:18 AM)
You're welcome.
Jeromy (Washington, DC)
Great one, 11 or 07 for today?
Mark Garrow (11:18 AM)
I'd go with 07 to open up some cap space but that's just me..11 is potential top-five and winner..but so is 07 and he's a little cheaper.
Henry:Chase City,Va

Mark Garrow (11:23 AM)
I can see him finishing 13th to 19th today.
Benjamin (denver, colorado)
Do I need a 48,99, or 18 on my team considering this is the cheapest they are going to be?
Mark Garrow (11:24 AM)
48 maybe..but not 99 and 18 this week..they could be dropping in value just a bit.
Mark Garrow (11:24 AM)
48 maybe..but not 99 and 18 this week..they could be dropping in value just a bit.
jeff (springdale, AR)
Mark, just to verify...I am tracking 11 at 21.9 and 07 at 22.0. Anyways, what do you think of this team? 48-11-20-1-8
Mark Garrow (11:25 AM)
Sorry about the miscue with Bowyer value..I like the team you've put together but need to have 8 to come through.
Jerry (TX)
If you could only play the 88 once more this season, would you roll it today? Or can you forsee a track down the road where he's the favorite?
Mark Garrow (11:25 AM)
If that's the case..hold on to use that one final time.

Happy Birthday! What do you think about this lineup 48, 20, 11, 8, 1? Any changes that you see? How is the 8 running?
Mark Garrow (11:31 AM)
I think that's a pretty decent team..say a prayer for 8 because if he finishes 15th or better you should be gold..
Frank( Boston)
