Chris Low (1:01 PM)
I'm here. Let's go
LSUfanNbama
Is LSU's Charles Scott on the radar yet for Heisman talk?
Chris Low (1:02 PM)
He should be. Anybody that goes to Auburn and puts 130-plus on the board is pretty good. If he keeps running for 100 yards and LSU keeps winning, then he's going to have a real shot
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
Who has the best defense in the sec?
Chris Low (1:03 PM)
When it's all said and done, I think it will come down to Alabama, Auburn and LSU. To this point, I'd go with Bama when you look at the sheer numbers. We'll know more, though, after the trip to Athens. LSU and Auburn have more talent. LSU misses Darry Beckwith
Matt (Nashville, TN)
Chris, Obviously Coach Fulmer is catching a lot of heat for Saturday's meltdown, and deservedly so. But how much of the Vols struggles do you think is directly related to the horrible game management and decision making by Crompton? Do you think that he'll be the starter come October?
Chris Low (1:05 PM)
I think Tennessee will have to give somebody else a chance if Crompton doesn't improve in these next couple of weeks. Remember, though, that the big question with him was always his decision-making.
BlackandGold
Any updates on Chris Nickson's injury?
Chris Low (1:06 PM)
Shoulder sprain. Talked with some at Vandy today and they're still waiting on more evaluations. But at this point, they're hopeful it's not as bad as first feared. The week off couldn't have come at a better time for the Dores.
James(Atlanta, GA)
What did you think of Knowhon's leap into the endzone vs Arizona State? It seems like every week he is doing something to make me marvel at him even more.
Chris Low (1:07 PM)
To me, Moreno and Florida's Brandon James are the two most exciting players to watch in the SEC.
Mike (Atlanta, GA)
True or False....has Fulmer lost this team?
Chris Low (1:09 PM)
Not yet, I don't think. This Auburn game is critical if Tennessee is going to turn it around for a second straight year
Evan (Atlanta, GA)
Why does Georgia get so scrutinized in the polls and by the media when Mizzou, Oklahoma, USC, and others play such weak schedules and get rewarded for winning?
Chris Low (1:10 PM)
Listen, the Dogs are going to have plenty of chances to impress with their killer schedule. If they keep winning, it's all going to work out for them.
gameday (spokane wa)
will the game cocks go to a bowl game
Chris Low (1:12 PM)
The back-to-back away games against Ole Miss on Oct. 4 and Kentucky on Oct. 11 will be key. If they can win both of those, then yes, I think the Gamecocks will be bowling.
michael( savannah,ga)
chris are you gonna be between the hedges this weekend for the blackout?
Chris Low (1:13 PM)
Yes and looking forward to it.
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Is there another team in the nation that can rotate as much talent on the D-line as LSU?
Chris Low (1:13 PM)
Nope, not even close. It's like the Tigers have been breeding defensive linemen down there.
Todd (Lake City,FL)
Im starting to get worried about FL's offence. are we just struggling or are we just not as good as last year
Chris Low (1:15 PM)
Remember, they only had to punt one time against Tennessee. Tebow made plays when he had to, so I don't think they're that far off. They're just getting Percy back into shape, and teams have a better understanding now of how to play Tebow. All that said, I think Florida is just OK in the offensive line.
Shane (Atlanta)
With Georgia playing lack luster football this season do you really think they will be able to compete in a national title game or even better yet beat Florida again this year?
Chris Low (1:16 PM)
Lackluster? They just won by 17 points on the road (all the way across the country, mind you) against a nationally ranked team.
Steve, Atlanta
Does Auburn rebound this week and get a W vs Tennessee?
Chris Low (1:18 PM)
Yes, although I think Auburn is a bit vulnerable coming off two tough, physical football games.
Dave (ATL)
Chris, who do you like thus far between the Dawgs and Bama? The numbers would point to the Dawgs having the favorable matchups, and it seems like the intangibles are in the Dawgs favor, too...
Chris Low (1:20 PM)
I still think Bama is a year away, even though the Tide is playing solid football right now. I think Georgia's going to have to throw to win, with Cody at NT and McClain at ILB. But Stafford has found his guy now in A.J. Green and I think the Dogs win this one.
new Atlanta
You are one of many who keep saying a one-loss UGA will get in the BCS title game because of their schedule but what if their one loss is to an undefeated UF?
Chris Low (1:21 PM)
No, what I said is that a one-loss Georgia team that wins the SEC championship is in great shape to play in the BCS title game.
Jeff (Phoenix, AZ)
Hey, Evan in Atlanta. Check USC's schedule over the years before you criticize it. By the way, at best Georgia is gunning for a chance to be humiliated by USC in a bowl and a nice No. 2 ranking.
Chris Low (1:22 PM)
The way the SEC has been humilated in BCS national championship games three of the past five years?
brent( sarasota,fl)
chris, what was your favorite play this past weekend?
Chris Low (1:23 PM)
Brandon James' punt return. It looked like everybody else on the field had 20-pound ankle weights on.
Will J (Portland, OR)
Is Green the best receiver in the SEC? He's definitely the best freshman in the conference.
Chris Low (1:24 PM)
He's really good, although I think Julio Jones is right up there with him ... among freshmen
Brandon, Columbus, GA
who is the best punt returner? arenas or james?
Chris Low (1:25 PM)
Now that's a hard one. Put it this way: I wouldn't kick to either one of them, but I'd pay good money to watch both of them return one.
Adam Chattanooga, TN
Chris, How are you feeling about Kentucky this years? b/c if you look at their schedule its just about as tough as Georgia's and they havn't been looking to bad keeping the same defense and a whole new offense!
Chris Low (1:27 PM)
Well, Kentucky's schedule hasn't been tough to this point. The Cats shouuld go to 4-0 this weekend against Western Kentucky and then comes their first real test against Bama on the road. The defense looks like the real deal. The offense has to improve. Still, I think there's a decent shot Kentucky goes into the Florida game on Oct. 25 5-2 or even 6-1.

QUESTION TO CHRIS LOW AT 1.30 PM HI CHRIS IS VANDERBILT THAT GOOD
Chris Low (1:30 PM)
YES, VANDERBILT IS THAT GOOD, MORE ATHLETIC AND FASTER THAN THEY'VE BEEN IN THE PAST ON DEFENSE, VERY SOUND IN THE KICKING GAME AND PLAYING WITH A LOT OF CONFIDENCE. BOBBY JOHNSON HAS DONE A TERRIFIC JOB.
L (Athens, Ga)
Chris, who is your front runner for the Heisman so far?
Chris Low (1:30 PM)
Chase Daniel was No. 1 in my Heisman poll this week
Andre (Fl)
Will Florida's offense be good enought to compete with LSU when the Tigers come to the Swamp?
Chris Low (1:31 PM)
Oh yeah. The Gators still have plenty of playmakers on offense. Here's another thing: I don't think they came close to showing everything on offense against Tennessee. They didn't have to.
Jack (Auburn, AL)
Chris, How do you explain the difference in Auburn's offense from the Miss. State game to LSU? It seemed like 2 different teams to me.
Chris Low (1:33 PM)
I think they're all still feeling their way into that offense, and it takes time. Tony Franklin is saying now that he might even let Chris Todd throw more from here on out.
Allen (Tuscaloosa, AL)
Coming into the year, we (bama fans) definitely felt our secondary would be our strong point with question marks around the front 7. Now obviously our front 7 have shown to be very strong and our secondary has yet to be tested. So what do you think UGA tries to do more, run into our front 7 or throw at our secondary?
Chris Low (1:35 PM)
I'm not sure you can run on Bama. I think Stafford will attack them through the air. The question is: How much does Saban blitz?
Matt (Athens, Ga)
Chris, I know you've said that if Georgia goes undefeated that they will make it to the BCS National Championship. This reminds me of 2004 when Auburn went undefeated and USC pounded Oklahoma in the National Championship.
Chris Low (1:35 PM)
Ease up there. We've still got a long way to go to get to that point.
Ralph Milledgeville, GA
Why no hiesman hype for #24?
Chris Low (1:36 PM)
No. 24 was No. 2 on my Heisman poll this week behind Daniel.
Zach (athens, Ga)
Do you think uga can stop cody starting a freshman at center?
Chris Low (1:37 PM)
That's not the best matchup for Georgia, which is still trying to find its best combination up and down the offensive line.
Andrew (Ohio)
You keep saying Alabama is a year away, but what have they shown you to prove this? They have had a couple of dominating wins with only one let down but still a win.
Chris Low (1:37 PM)
I just think they have a chance to be even better next year. That's all.
Mitch (Gainesville, FL)
Do you think Florida's offensive line will jell before the Georgia game? There are a lot of talented, experienced guys in that group but so far they haven't been great.
Chris Low (1:40 PM)
Meyer said he thought the OL played well against Tennessee. But the Gators will have bigger challenges. Florida OL coach Steve Addazio is one of the best in the business.
Dave (Tuscaloosa)
Chris, would you bet on anyone to come out of the SEC undefeated by the end of the regular season? With the possibility of Mizzou or OU, USC, and Penn State being unbeaten, I think it's hard for the SEC to get a team in the NC game this year.
Chris Low (1:41 PM)
My guess is that nobody from the SEC will be unbeaten this year. And with USC, Oklahoma and Missouri, it doesn't look great right now to get a one-loss team in, but there's a lot that can and will still happen.
Chris Low (1:41 PM)
Chris Low (1:42 PM)
Gotta run. Always a blast talking college football. We'll do it again next week. And, no, I'm not wearing black to Athens Saturday.
