Mark Garrow (10:30 AM)
Good morning everybody...let's get this partaaayyy started!
Hank (Orlando,Florida)
I am in a fantasy league that limits the number of times you can select a driver. Is this a week to use A tier drivers and risk a mediocre (or worse) finish or go with B tier guys due to the level playing field of plate racing. It would seem better to me to use A drivers on handling tracks, but they have an obvious advantage with the better equipment on plate tracks etc. An A driver is a top 12 (chase) driver with B tier being 13-20 in the points. Guru, is this a week to go 2,12,83?? Or is 24,20,88, for example, a much better option. Problem is is then I can't use these A guys later. Your thoughts??
Mark Garrow (10:33 AM)
Hank, I believe your thinking is on solid ground..this is a race that is almost impossible to handicap so the top guys will certainly be easier to pick out at Charlotte next week..why waste a start for someone that you know you will definitely need down the road..2 and 12 looked really good in the draft together in the practice the other day and caught the eye of more than one crew chief. 83 is fast two..24,20,88 they are all going to be good but if they get caught up in a wreck you've wasted their starts and for what?
Briar (Nashville TN)
Guru, Need a little help, need one 24,29. Need two 12,5,88,18. Need one 55,83.
Mark Garrow (10:34 AM)

I have Biff and Keneth locked in very cheap. My question is should I drop them and pick up 2 other drivers. I am in third place and I do not want to throw my season down the drain by rolling the dice at DEGA. What do yo think. My teams as of right now is 17-16-29-82-2. Thanks for the advise.
Mark Garrow (10:36 AM)
Beth I'm assuming you mean 83?..your team isn't a world beater but there are no sure bets at this place..17 and 16 will be contenders next week so if you sell them now can you afford to buy them back?
Sean from OH
Mark- thanks for the help last week. Talladega- can you rank these drivers and add any info them- 5,19,42,26, and 7. Thanks
Mark Garrow (10:38 AM)
5,26,42,7,19...Mears is very fast according to Dale Jr's crew chief..of course he might be outta here before the race or some point during because girlfriend is about to give birth at anytime..Brad Keselowski is standing by to get in if needed..26 is much better plate racer than he gets credit for and I think he'll be sneaky good. It will be interesting to see if Montoya can back up what he did here in April. I'm not sure he can..
Mitch (Rochester, NY)
Does Blaney have a shot to get his first win at Talladega as so many in the past have?
Mark Garrow (10:39 AM)
Anything is possible...but that is not a miracle that will happen this Sunday..sorry.
George ( TX )
Hey Mark good morning ! Help a brother out. 24 or 48 ...... 5,6,9 or 12 ( pic 2 ) ... 55 or 44. Thanks !

Hey Mark, your chats have been a great help! I need to use 2 of the 3, JPM, Jamie Mac and Martin Truex Jr.
Mark Garrow (10:40 AM)
Jamie Mac and Martin Truex, Jr.
bowles: wichita falls, tx
i've been racking my brain till it hurts, finally narrowed it down to these three options, what do you think? 99,48,88,83,84 99,48,17,88,78 or 99,48,88,5,84. thanks for your help.
Mark Garrow (10:41 AM)
I like the first team a little better ..I like the 83 a little bit more than the 5..
Rich (Chicago, IL)
How do you like Junior's chances in his back-up car? Thanks!
Mark Garrow (10:42 AM)
I talked to his crew chief this morning and he said honestly don't know what we have..but back-up is same car they used in the Daytona 500. Look for Junior to hang back the first few laps and then start chopping his way through the field.
James: (Macon, GA)
Good Sunday Morning to you Guru,Sketchy couple of weeks in the SCC chase so need to pick up the pace this week. I have value built into JJ and Biff so feel like I need to keep them. Thinking one of these 3 lineups and then adding one to it. 48,88,16,2 or 48,88,16,1 or 48,88,16,13. Then rank 22,7,8,66 for the 5th position. Have a great one and as always thnx for the great advice.BiggameJD
Mark Garrow (10:45 AM)
I'm assuming by 13 you meant 83..if so I like that third team 48,88,16,83..as for ranking the other ugys...8,66,7,22
Caeser (Pittsburgh, Pa)
How's it going guru? Tough calls this weekend with the big one looming! J. Gordon or Harvick? Skinner or Waltrip? Pick 2 out of Junior, Newman, Mears and Ragan. Thanks big guy and have a great day!
Mark Garrow (10:45 AM)
Gordon.....Skinner...Junior, Newman
Daryl (Madison, WI)
Good morning guru. I need help picking 1 from this group: 17, 24, 20, or 11. (keeping Lowe's next week in mind) Also how do you think Mike Skinner will do? Thanx!
Mark Garrow (10:47 AM)
Call me crazy..but I'm getting back on the Denny Hamlin train this morning..should be very good at Charlotte too. I think Skinner is a real sleeper today...Car is fast and Mike knows how to get it down in the plate races, lots of experience.
Dookie (Atlanta)
The starting line-up this week looks like they published it backwards... funny who qualified well and who didn't. Help me continue kickin' my competition's ars's this year: rank these dudes please: 24, 48, 88, 12, 7, 6, 83, 44 thank in advance...we all LOVE this chat!

Glenn (Dover)
Guru for your top 6 this week is there any truth to the rumor that you just picked names out of a hat??
Mark Garrow (10:50 AM)
Glenn that would be almost as effective I do believe, but no I don't or won't do that, but if it doesn't work out I'm using a different monkey next time..lol..
Michael (Daytona,FL)
Mark gimmie one car that you GUARANTEE will run top 5 today??
Mark Garrow (10:51 AM)

Bob (Atlanta, GA)
Mark, The Roush driver averages at Talladega are not too impressive, what are your thoughts on their cars?
Mark Garrow (10:53 AM)
Look their records here have not been stellar, you're right. But the way 16 and 99 have been running lately and to some extent the 17, I think you can throw out past stats..If they are not in the "big one" than they will finish up near the front..All three will be very, very strong next week..I have the 17 and 16 and I'm seriously thinking of holding on to them..hoping for the best today so they can kick some butt next week..Among the Roush guys 6 looks very good and might be a nice pick-up today possibly.
tom - wisconsin
Help me Guru. Who do I start???11,20 (pick 1)9,12,18,88 (pick 2)28,44 (pick 1)Thanks Mark
Mark Garrow (10:54 AM)

Hi Guru, Who do you think is best between Mears, Sadler and Robby Gordon? Kvapil or Reutimann? Does Mike Skinner have a chance at a top 25?Thanks for the help.
Mark Garrow (10:56 AM)
Mears is running pretty well and could be nice dark-horse pick today..That team has also begun to find some consistency..Kvapil's guys told me this morning this car grabbed the polein basically race trim. Given that and fact Reutimann's in a back-up..I'd go with Kvapil.
Ryan Buckhead
Trying to chase down 1st place and can start either Gordon or Jimmie today. I'm pretty sure he is going with Gordon. Do I start Jimmie to try and and gain some ground? Also, 12, 88, 6, 1... need 2. Thanks Guru
Mark Garrow (10:57 AM)
I'd take Gordon..he can afford to take more risks..staring Jimmie today shouldn't hurt you and put you in good shape next week...88-12
Ed (Petersburg, WV)
Guru, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I have the 16 and 17 under value going into this race. Should I drop either one for the 88 or 24?
Mark Garrow (10:58 AM)
Tough call Ed..I'm trying to figure out the same thing..I'm tempted to let it ride, knowing those two will be bad to the bone next week..
Marshall (San Diego)
Hey Carknack, if ever I needed some non-salary guidance, it's now. I know Dega IS a crapshoot but if you can help me with two picks from each of these groups, I would greatly appreciate it: 88,99,48,24; 20,29,07,83; 28,42,38,26,5,44. As always, thanks Mark.
Mark Garrow (10:59 AM)
48,24...29,83.....5,26
Ryan Buckhead
Vickers or Reutimann?
Mark Garrow (10:59 AM)
Vickers
Dom (Erie, PA)
Mark hi you are the man!! I really need some help with my picks!! Pick one (24 or 29). Pick two (5,6,88,12). Pick one (15,83). THANKS
Mark Garrow (11:00 AM)
24...88,12...83
Jessie (Miami)
Guru,I can only keep the Biff or Carl, which one should I keep?
Mark Garrow (11:00 AM)
I'd keep Carl and you don't need to trade him next week either.
Chip - Myrtle Beach
Guru, Which 2 do you like better?Newman and Smith or vickers and skinner
Mark Garrow (11:01 AM)
Vickers - Skinner
Schafe (RP, NJ)
Menard or Waltrip?
Mark Garrow (11:01 AM)
Menard
Bob(NC)
Is Mears going to run the whole race if he starts the race?
Mark Garrow (11:02 AM)
Whole deal is up in the air..they are playing it by ear...gut says if he starts, he will finish.
K
good mornin G ..dilemma of the day ..i have Johnson at 22.8(+1.2)..Biffle 21.5(+.9)..Kenseth 19.6(+.9)..and Sadler 16.5 (+.5)...obviously im keeping johnson ..but..is it really worth it to drop biffle and kenseth ..knowing that their types of tracks are coming up ?should i just bite the bullet and keep them?..or should i take a swing at drop everyone but johnson and pick 4 typical "plate" drivers and take someone like skinner or even robby gordon knowing its going to be a crap shoot? need some words of wisdom here ..mind you this im playing in the SCC am in 1st for the segment AND year end . thanks in advance have a great day and lets go racing !!! :)
Mark Garrow (11:04 AM)
Tough dillema I'd hold 48,16, and 17..dump 19 to help improve the team.
Rob (Atl, GA)
Guru, what type of line-up do you consider to be the best at a place like Talladega, where at any second your team can feel the effects of "the big one"? Do you use a balanced line-up or do you spring 4 big shots and one dud and hope for the best?My lineup choices are :Edwards(locked low), Biffle(locked low), Vickers, Kennseth, and Mearsor should I go 99,48,16,24, and a 11 pointer? Thanks for your help as always!
Mark Garrow (11:06 AM)
I'd stick with 99,16,83,17, and Mears..reasonable risk for a race like this ..
Todd - Raleigh, NC
Guru, Which do you like better 17 or 83?
Mark Garrow (11:06 AM)
83
James (CO)
Hey Mark, I have the 16 and 17 as well, thinking of dropping one for 88 - which lineup 48,24,88,84,16 or 48,24,88,84,17? As always, thanks.
Mark Garrow (11:07 AM)
I'd go with 48,24,88,84, and 26
Greg (Des Moines, IA)
Hey Guru. I have Harvick locked at 20.5 (+0.7). Do you think he will run good today and the next couple weeks? Thanks!
Mark Garrow (11:09 AM)
I think he'll be decent today..they're using same car they've used this year in the other three plate races..was in race trim for qualifying..I can see him finishing top-10 today..and should be top 10 at Charlotte..Might be worth a hold.
Scott (Columbus, OH)
Yo Guru...I like a guy like Burton today only because I feel he can avoid "the big one", if that is possible...any other drivers who you feel are savvy like him in that regard?
Mark Garrow (11:10 AM)
Burton may also be the best of the RCR cars so he could be a solid, safe pick today.
David (Madison, MS)
I only have 3 starts left on Jr. Was thinking on saving him for Lowes, Atlanta and Texas. Is starting 6 and 12 gonna finish close enough to the 88 that I don't miss out on a lot of points?
Mark Garrow (11:11 AM)
6 and 12 should do reasonably well today..and 88 is in a back-up..hard to tell what he's got...so might not be a bad idea and don't think you get hurt too bad points wise.
Bill (Hooksett, NH)
Hey Mark !!Now with the line-up set, what do you think of the 88 coming from the back ? And of the following, which would you pick: 84,55,38,66.Thanks as always for you wisdom.
Mark Garrow (11:12 AM)
His crew chief thinks he'll be able to do that and Junior once there can stay there..I like the 84 today as a good budget pick.
Isaac (Juneau, Alaska)
guru, 24 or 48?two of the following: 1,6,88,12?44 or 83?
Mark Garrow (11:13 AM)
24...because he can take more risk..88,12..83
Maria--UPSTATE NY
Hi Mark, I need some help with my pic-em today. I'm in the top 40 and dont want to take a mulligan at Dega. I have Newman right now, I can use Jr. but I'd like to save him for later. What should I do!! Thanks so much, and keep up the great work!!
Mark Garrow (11:14 AM)
Newman was pretty fast during practice on Friday and could go to the top to pass cars and that could bode well for today..
TIN CUP (SV, CA)
Morning, Mark!So I ran the 48, 16, 17, 8 , 5 last week for 755. Dropping 99 and 84 last week cost me (782) but that's what greed will get you. So this week it's the above lineup vs. the 48, 16 (too much value), 6, 83, 2; with hopes of setting up for Lowe's next week. I know it's a crap-shoot, but I'll take my crap-shoot with some up-side. Any garage insight for these drivers? Thanks and keep up the great work.
Mark Garrow (11:17 AM)
tough call..I'd go with 48,16,6,83, and 2..
Hippy
Please rank.......5,83,12
Mark Garrow (11:18 AM)
83,12,5..all in pretty good shape.

Thanks for the help last week, need some more this week. Talladeaga is such a crapshoot it realy dosn't matter where you start from cause it can change in a heartbeat. Need to pick i 24,or 48. need 2. 6,12,18 or 88. need 1. 83 or 84. thanks Mark.
Mark Garrow (11:22 AM)
24..88,12..83
Rich (Chicago, IL)
Not much talk about Tony? Where do you see him finishing today? How is his car after the incident during practice? Thanks Guru!
Mark Garrow (11:23 AM)
They think Tony's car is okay..I can see him finishing 7th to 13th or so today..not sure I saw enough in practice the other day to think he could challenge for the win..or run top-five..but is Talladega and anything can happen and anything is possible.
Donny (Orlando, FL)
Hey Guru, what are your thoughts on JPM today? Top ten, top 15, top 20? Appreciated all the great advice.
Mark Garrow (11:24 AM)
I think he has a shot to run top-15..I thought runner-up here in April was a fluke..but he does like plate racing here and does a pretty decent job at it.
Mark Garrow (11:24 AM)
Going to start typing in crew chief notes..
Mark Garrow (11:26 AM)
Hendrick Motorsports, Tony Eury, Jr. crew chief Dale Jr...he told me he really didn't know what he had but thought they would be just fine. He also thought he would have qualified as strong as Casey Mears (4th) if not for car dragging so much..He said Junior would hang out in the back for awhile then he and 24 would start working their way to the front. He said all the Hendrick cars in good shape..
Mark Garrow (11:29 AM)
DEI, Tony Gibson, crew chief Aric Almirola..He said they went with their race set-up for qualifying so no trick stuff and never made a qualifying run before qualifying third..Car has a lot of speed and sucks up to other cars really well. Only problem is that he's a rookie and as soon as someone sees the yellow stripe Aric will not get any help..On the plus side Truex is very good too and could help Almirola stay tucked in a very safe spot..Menard and Smith also fast without qualifying set ups..All of the DEI guys but Menard have new cars.
Mark Garrow (11:31 AM)
RCR, Todd Berrier crew chief Kevin Harvick..Pretty good in practices using race trim..This is same car they have used in all three plate races this year..Burton is very happy with his car and Bowyer doesn't know quite what he's got. As for Mike Wallace car is very fast but they are using it to experiment..Car design was taken from DEI and engine has some new stuff they think will last.
Mark Garrow (11:33 AM)
Joe Gibbs Racing, Steve Addington crew chief Kyle Busch..He said Kyle told him the car felt like it did back in April when he won here..running a different intake manifold in the engine than they did in July in hopes of picking up a few horsepower..He said Hamlin was happy with his car and Tony was in pretty good shape..He liked the way the Childress and DEI cars were running.
Mark Garrow (11:35 AM)
Red Bull, Jimmy Elledge crew chief Mike Skinner...He said they could be a real sleeper today with Skinner's experience and how well car ran in practice. He said Vickers is as good as he was here back in April. He said he liked the way the 11 looked in practice the other day ..also the 26..thought 2 and 12 when they linked up looked very strong driving around people on the high side.
Mark Garrow (11:37 AM)
I also talkd to Travis Kvapil's crew. They claim they were using their race set-up when they qualified and I have no reason to doubt them..It's a brand new car they said did everything he wanted it to in practice...go high, low, running the middle and could suck up really well.
Mark Garrow (11:43 AM)
Top six...24,48,88,11,31,29..Next tier..6,99,16,17,8,1,18,20,12,2,83,26..Bargain picks..Skinner (11.7), Mears (16.7) Montoya (16.8) Kvapil (16.6), Almirola (15.3)
EM MT
Can the 28 be a top 10
Mark Garrow (11:44 AM)
Possibly..but I see him more like top-15 at best...He'll need some help and I'm not sure he'll get a lot.
Rob (Marietta, GA)
Any reason why Mike Wallace in the 33 isn't able to selected on our Stock Car Challenge teams?
Mark Garrow (11:44 AM)
Good question, I asked for him to be added the other day and apparently he wasn't. That's why I did list him as a po tential dark-horse.
Kyle: (Taylorsville, KY)
Any love for Truex Jr. today? I have to pick 2 out of 12,6, 1, 18 . I know you like the 12 what about the 1?
Mark Garrow (11:46 AM)
Martin is in brand new car they say qualified tenth with a race set-up..all four of the guys you listed should be in good shape.
Mark Garrow (11:46 AM)
Martin is in brand new car they say qualified tenth with a race set-up..all four of the guys you listed should be in good shape.
Ken (Hendersonville, NC)
Mark: Since Talladega is such a crap shoot, I think I have come up with the best way to handicap plate races at the track. First, take all the drivers that have never won and put their names into one fishbowl, Then take the top 20 drivers in points and put each one into another fishbowl. Finally, pick one from the first fishbowl then pick four from the other. I think I?ll try that and see how it works?I?ll probably do better than if I spend three hours handicapping the race.Seriously though, I have had the 48, 99, 16 and 17 since the Chase started and each week I have used a ?super budget? pick for the 5th driver. That logic has produced some solid results with 692, 767 and 787 in the last three weeks and with their salary cap increases I can not afford to change the base four. This week it seems that with Skinner replacing ?AJ? may be the best budget or ?super budget? pick for the race. Both Skinner and Vickers were near the top in both practices. Your opinion please.
Mark Garrow (11:48 AM)
I think Skinner could give you a big bang for the buck today..and don't touch the big four because once they get past here should be very good with a couple a question mark only at Martinsville.
tyler, St. Louis
should i start the 24 or the 48, also should i start kvapil since he won the pole or should i start vickers
Mark Garrow (11:48 AM)
24...and I'd go with Vickers over Kvapil.
Dan-O (MI)
Guru,Guru,Awesome job each week, you've got me in the $$. Anyway I need to stay there... 1) JJ or Gordo? 2) two of the following: Truex, Newman, Ragan, Mears? and either Rooty or Kvapil? THANKS!!
Mark Garrow (11:50 AM)
I like the 24 a little bit over 48 because Jeff can take more risks..Newman and Ragan..but all four should be in decent shape..I'd go with Kvapil since Reutimann didn't seem too thrilled about his back-up.
Kevin in Va Beach
What's the latest on Mear's situation? Thanks and enjoy the show.
Mark Garrow (11:51 AM)
Still hearing Mears is here and planning on starting race...subject to change at moments notice though.
stony, new braunfels, tx
good morning guru, just wondering why no talk about the nubmer 2 car,, is he any good today
Mark Garrow (11:52 AM)
Stony...2 is in my second tier of drivers and one of the crew chiefs I talked to today said 2 and teammate the 12 looked very strong running together on Friday..Kurt is good place racer and should be in decent shape today.
chris,paradise ca.
couple of days ago you said the #7 would be a good budget pick. do you still feal that way
Mark Garrow (11:53 AM)
Not as much as I did..I'm thinking now Skinner and the 84 better pick in the low $$ area..Robby could be sneaky, but think the 84 has more upside.
l
is 5 and 6 better than jpm
Mark Garrow (11:53 AM)
I think they are. Not a lot of difference but I do think they are.
Mark Garrow (11:53 AM)
I think they are. Not a lot of difference but I do think they are.
steve(nc)
truex or vickers?
Mark Garrow (11:54 AM)
I'm leaning Vickers but its clear DEI has picked it up under the hood from what they had here in April.

Reutimnann or Menard?
Mark Garrow (11:55 AM)
I can't believe I'm saying this but Menard.

Mark Garrow (11:56 AM)
You've been sniffing too many exhaust fumes.
Travis (Baltimore, MD)
There is no talk about Kyle. He has won the last two restrictor plate races. Any comments?
Mark Garrow (11:58 AM)
I think he's going to be good..but bad luck has been hanging over him like a dark, black thunder cloud..I think he can run top-five or get wrecked and not a whole lot in between..I think 11 is the best of Gibbs cars going in..but the other two in pretty shape too.
jim (memphis)
Hey Mark- Do I take the 28, 84, 42 or the 8 for the better finish?
Mark Garrow (11:59 AM)
I'm thinking 84 or 42..

HI Mark, What about the 19,42 and 12? I did not see any crew cheif notes on them. I read on driver notes after qualifying that Ryan was not too happy with is car? Who would be more honest the driver or the crew cheif? Thanks for your help.
Mark Garrow (12:01 PM)
Of those three cars I would rank them 12,42,19..
Matt (Moyock, NC)
Hey Guru need some help here...18 points out of first place in my league...Start one, 24 or 48, start two, 12, 26, 43, 5 and start one, 84 or 15...Was leaning towards the 12 but he supposedly said somewhere his car isnt too good...thanks

Whose a better combo today 24-19 or 16-2. Lousy choices I know but that's what they are. Thanks.
Mark Garrow (12:03 PM)
24 - 19..although I'm not in love witih the 19 a whole lot.
Mike (Los Angeles)
Mark, which of these mid-range combos do you like best: 1-2, 6-5, 12-5, 83-28; or should I go high-low with 24-7 or 88-84?
Mark Garrow (12:04 PM)
The two that jump out at me on my first gut reaction are the 1-2, and 88-84..
Barry:(Va.Beach,Va)
Playing Yahoo Fantasy in B group 6,9,or26 to go along with the 12and why
Mark Garrow (12:06 PM)
I'd go six just a tick over 26...I liked the way Ragan finished fourth here in the spring..He locked into the bottom lane and hardly deviated from that..
Susan Jax Fla.
Hey Guru Need some help have one pick left for the 88 should I use him today or save for another track and if I save what track should I use him at? thanks for the help
Mark Garrow (12:06 PM)
Not sure which track..but would probably save him today.
Benny (Alexandria, Va)
Mears or Treux (assuming Mears is running)?
Mark Garrow (12:08 PM)
I think Truex...less of risk and know he won't be leaving car in the middle of the race potentially..
Bob(NC)
Guru ...is there a tire problem today?
Mark Garrow (12:08 PM)
Goodyear says no..
Sara Palin (Alaska)
hey i need two oout of: 1,6, or 5also 1 out of 44 and 28Thank you for the help
Mark Garrow (12:10 PM)

guru...I might lose cap room if I make this change...48,88,29,31,24,12,83,5 over 48,88,29,99,16,17,83,5. Which do you think is better? And is 20 better pick than 31?
Mark Garrow (12:12 PM)
I like 48,88,29,31,24.12,83.5....I also think 31 is safer pick than 20.
pj in duluth,mn
The 24 and 7 or the 31 and 84
Mark Garrow (12:12 PM)
31 and 84
Greg (Atlanta) Ga

Malibu Barbie - P'cola
hi mark, scc question:this is my first try at SCC, and so far I'm doing okay, i have 48, 24, 17[locked] 83 and 5, but i have enough to bump the 5 up to the 2 or 26, which of the three looks best today? thanks!
Mark Garrow (12:14 PM)
If you bump 5 and he's in pretty good shape..safest pick would be the 2.
Frank (TN)
Which team you like better Guru:99, 16, 17, 83, and 5or,99, 16, 48, 83, and Skinner?
Mark Garrow (12:15 PM)
I like the second team a little better.
stacy alabama
hamlin or harvick need 1, ragan, jr, newman, kyle busch need 2 i only have jr one more time, and kvapil or vickers need 1
Mark Garrow (12:16 PM)
Hamlin...Junior..Newman..Vickers.
David (Madison,MS)
Please rank the following 15,28,83. Is Vickers strong enough to use last start over 15 and 28? Thanks in advance.
Mark Garrow (12:17 PM)
83,28,15...I think you can save Vickers for a more sure thing..Menard looked good in practice, but I like Kvapil a little bit better.
Lisa- Indianapolis
Hi Mark, How awesome to have the 28 aka Daveys Widow on the pole! You said to Susan in Jax to save the 88 today? I have the 88, of what two of these 4 do you think are the better plays? 12, 6,18? Is Hamlin a better run today than Stewart? Thanks Mark! Have a great day!
Mark Garrow (12:19 PM)
I think Hamlin is better play than Stewart..12,18.. in the other category..
robert
No GEM crew chiefs in pit notes!!?? I thought the Dodges were showing something last couple plate races... anyone going to get up front today in a DODGE???
Mark Garrow (12:21 PM)
Wasn't able to get up with the GEM guys today..but it looks like Toyotas are still as strong as they've been all year but RCR and DEI cars made major strives so I don't think Dodges are to as good today as they've been other plate races today...that's my gut feel.
doug(wis)
should I stay with #5 or should I go with #6?
Mark Garrow (12:21 PM)
WIth the 5 thing up in the air and subject to change at anytime..maybe 6 is safer play.
Big Papi(FL)
Hey! Guru, what 4 do you see running top 10 today
Mark Garrow (12:22 PM)
24,88,48,11
Jeff (Berkeley, CA)
Hi Mark,Need to pick 2 from these 3: 26, 12 and 88. Thanks.
Mark Garrow (12:23 PM)
88,12
Marc (Gulfport, MS)
Mark-- Crunch time decision here. 20 or 29? Harvick seemed to have the better practice times. Also looking at the 44 or 84. I think Skinner could be a super sleeper for this race.
Mark Garrow (12:25 PM)
I think the 29 is a safer pick than 20..and 84 should out run the 44.
Ed...Clinton,Oklla
Thanks for all the great insight....trade or keep the 19 ???
Mark Garrow (12:26 PM)
Trade
Shawn in Virginia

Mark Garrow (12:26 PM)
18,12
Harry (Berwyn, PA)
Mark- What do you think of this lineup---24, 88, 48, 11, 31. I wasn't sure about the 31 or 12. What do you think?
Mark Garrow (12:26 PM)
Harry I like that line-up quite a bit.
josh mn
88,29,12 or 88,5,48 or 88,5,24
Mark Garrow (12:27 PM)
88,5,24...as long as Mears drives the whole way.
tyler, St. Louis
did junior have to move to the back since he blew his engine and wrecked in practice or is he still startin 15
Mark Garrow (12:28 PM)
Yes, Junior is going to the back.
Ricky Tailgate Moonshine Creek WV
Is this lineup too risky, or should I try to rework the back end of 24-84? The lineup now is 48 16 17 24 84. Thanks for the help. The first three are lock in low, just so you know.
Mark Garrow (12:29 PM)
No, I don't think that line-up is too risky..16 and 17 aren't going to take a lot of risks..so they won't set the world on fire, but hopefully won't be in the big one either.
Mark Garrow (12:32 PM)
Folks got to run...went two hours again today and glad to do it...this is tough race folks..a big crapshoot any which way you slice it..Hope I've been of some help and you score big today...Talk to you again 1:00 Monday..4:00 Wednesday and next Saturday from Charlotte..by the way again would love to hear your comments about the services I provide..please e-mail them to tg2vt@aol.com...had a problem last week with some of the e-mails not getting getting through because of a setting I didn't know about.
