Boy, nutt got out at the right time...And I think if Petrino stays there for a while he should be able to get them turned around. He's a good offensive coach and they have some nice young talent (WR Joe Adams LB Jerry FRanklin, RB Mike Smith)..curious to see how Petrino develops Ryan Mallett there.

They're a little worse frankly. Not the offense, but I've been surprised that the D hasn't been better. They have plenty of experience on D and some very good athletes.

I could see it happening if it's Florida since they lost early, but it depends on how impressive they looked. I dont think pollsters have much faith in the Big Ten these days.

While I hope you're right, you seem to be in the minority among your peers. Can you make the case that the BCS system would allow two undefeated mid-major teams in? Or does Boise get the shaft unless both BYU and Utah lose at least once?

Boise needs there to be a few 2-loss conference champs and for OSU to win the Big Ten and also for USC to lose one more time... I'm expecting two teams from the SEC and Big 12 and thats it for the multiple entries. I don't see the Pac-10 producing two and if OSU beats PSU, I think that would really hurt the Big Ten's case.

You can say nine nice things in a speech but if there is one line sandwiched in there that comes across as inappropriate or out of line people will take offense. I heard what Trevor Matich said a bit ago on CF Live and I think he made a good point. Those comments are likely to come back and bite Jarrett Lee as much as anything. Then again, I doubt UF needs any more motivation although karma has a way of sorting that stuff out it seems.

I don't know. I'm not sold. They run the ball very well and stop the run. Those are two keys for any great team and it keeps them in every game, but if JPW plays a clunker at LSU, it might not work out for them.
