Jeremy Green (4:03 PM)
Hello Green nation... welcome to football Friday
Mr.Green's Security, Everywhere
Greener, Let's get this comment out of the way early! If you are boring, your question will not get answered and if you whine in anyway, then you get made fun of by a large group of Green Nation supporters, it's as simple as that!
Jeremy Green (4:04 PM)
Could not gave said it better myself.
James (ATL)
THanks for chatting with us today JG!So what do you think about my Falcons this week?? Yeah I know they beat a wounded packers team, but they still won!!! Any chance they beat the Bears @ home this week?
Jeremy Green (4:06 PM)
I think they have a good chance of winning. I like the bears in this one but when Atlanta can run the ball, Matt Ryan has been solid so that will be the key.
Paul (Raleigh NC)
Will the Bronco's D keep the Jags in check enough to pull out another Home win?
Jeremy Green (4:09 PM)
The Jags have only run it well one time this season and that was in their game at Indy. Denver is 25th vs. the run and they tackle poorly. I think the Jags are too physical for Denver. I think they will run the ball well and keep Cutler and Co on the sidelines. I like the Jags in this one.
Ryan (America's Finest City)
No whining?? I guess that means all Charger fans are banned from this chat!
Kasey (NJ)
What are the Browns thinking talking about Jacobs and one of the top O-line
Jeremy Green (4:12 PM)
That was Corey Williams I believe. I am not sure what he is thinking since the Browns defense has not smacked anyone this season. I think it will be Chris Snee and Earth Wind and Fire who are doing all the smacking around in this one.
Majeed
JG, How ya like my Fins now? Last drive of the game was the best. Ran the ball down their throats and they couldn't do a thing about it!
Jeremy Green (4:17 PM)
Really like the mentality of this team and it comes from Parcells and Sparano.
Otto (CA)
I see you ain't talking smart about Antonio Bryant now/ He's a solid vet.
Jeremy Green (4:19 PM)
I never said he could not play. I said he was a bad person and that has not changed.
Brandon (Bellevue, WA)
Who wants it more, Seattle or Green Bay?
Jeremy Green (4:20 PM)
Seattle I think. Both have been beat up on different sides of the ball but I would have to say Seattle because they are playing at home this week,
Craig (Norwich, CT)
How do you think Matt Cassell and the Patriots will be looking by the end of the season?
Jeremy Green (4:23 PM)
They are going to still be a playoff team... they are still going to be 11-5 or 10-6.
Paul (Raleigh NC)
Hey JG, how long till the Cowboys self-distruct?
Jeremy Green (4:24 PM)
I like that Wade Phillips finally showed a little emotion. They are not going to self destruct in the regular season because they have far too much talent. WIll need to reassess it once they get into the playoffs but this team clearly needs to start playing with a little more passion.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
OK first off to Ryan from SD: HAHA THE CHARGERS LOST TO THE FINS! That said JG, the Vikes should beat the Lions and get to .500 Sunday. If they do, might they be the odds on favorite again to win a very mediocre NFC North?
Jeremy Green (4:27 PM)
Unless Rex...err I mean Kyle Orton comes crashing down to earth and I don't think he will because I like the way he is becoming a great version of a game manager, I like the Bears. They run the ball, play solid defense and are well coached.
JP (Pittsburgh)
More touchdowns this week: me or Ryan Fitzpatrick?
Jeremy Green (4:27 PM)
You
Matt, Toronto
JG, if make your way to Toronto for the Bills/Dolphins in December, steaks on me.
Jeremy Green (4:27 PM)
Thanks Matt.
Ryan (America's Finest City)
Has a Left Tackle ever won ROY? The success of the Broncos' offense has a lot to do with Clady and Co. They have allowed only 2 sacks and 1 of them was the fumble/incomplete play against SD. Clady probably won't win ROY but he should definitely be in the conversation.
Jeremy Green (4:29 PM)
I do not think so. I think the mose recent guy who could have was Marcus McNeil when he wasa rookie in San Diego, Clady has played well, but he would not get it over Forte, Chris Jonson or even Matt Ryan today.
Keith (RI)
The Cardinals are an impressive 8-2 at home in the Wisenhunt era... Should Dallas be preparing as the underdog? I think Dallas might be in trouble in this game.
Jeremy Green (4:33 PM)
No they do not need to prepare like that... They need to prepare like they are the superior team yet be aware they can't come in here and sleepwalk
Kev (NYC)
Jeremy..Who's starting at QB for DET? It is Kitna (Injured) Orlovsky or Stanton?
Jeremy Green (4:34 PM)
Game time decision... I would lean towards Orlovsky since Kitna has not been able to do much this week.
Bradley (Dublin CA)
Will Mike Nolan last the year?
Jeremy Green (4:36 PM)
Yes .. owner is way to cheap to fire him and pay his deal and this is still a competitive football team.
JP (Baltimore, MD)
JG, love the chat brother keep up the great work. The Ravens are off to a much better start then anyone gave them credit for this year. I have a two part question for you. The Ravens failed to review the Mason TD in the Steelers game. Don't they have someone whose job it is to review every play? I saw the replay on tv and knew he scored before we ran another play. The call on Suggs was an early Christmas present for the Titans. My second question is this team is those two calls away from being 4-0. Most people have the Titans and Giants as the best teams in the NFL right now. Do you think the Ravens will get some respect or will we continue to get dissed by most people in the media no matter what we do?
Jeremy Green (4:37 PM)
They should have reviewed the play and Baltimore like all teams has someone in charge of that... it is usually a position coach or quality control coach up in the Coaching box.
Tony (Pittsburgh)
i have peyton manning but hes playing the ravens defense but i also got kyle orton an gus frerotte who would u start
Jeremy Green (4:38 PM)
I would not start Manning vs. the Ravens. I think they will win an ugly low scoring football game. Frerrote has the best matchup.
Frankie, Omaha
Coach of the year to this point?
Jeremy Green (4:39 PM)
Tom Coughlin...
Ryan, D-town San Diego
JG - I'm up there with the biggest homers around, but i'm losing faith in the Bolts, esp since LT is gimpy. I'm thinking of jumping on a new bandwagon, any thoughts?
Jeremy Green (4:40 PM)
WOW... I would doubt this is the real Ryan
Matt K ( The Burg, PA)
Greener, the Steel Crew is winning with a make shift o line and their 4th string running back, when Pittsburgh is healthy we have to be considered a major super bowl contender?
Jeremy Green (4:45 PM)
Major contender? No, but every\one is in the hunt in the AFC since there is no dominant football team. I would not say that until they show they can protect Big Ben... Big Ben is an injury waiting to happen behind this line.
Phil (DC)
You're not on the Zorn for COY wagon?
Jeremy Green (4:46 PM)
Like Zorn too... Fisher has been solid but look at the Giants defections this off-season and they have gone from hunter to hunted and they are perfect.
SprungOnSports (Long Island)
Can the Ravens help their defense out and score enough points to beat the Colts?
Jeremy Green (4:47 PM)
They will be able to run the ball but I think the offense struggles in the red zone and I think Flacco will make some bad decisions throwing into the cover 2... they will not be able to generate enough on offense this week.,
KS (Marysville, PA)
If not Pittsburgh, who ARE the major contenders in the AFC? All of the teams have major flaws.
Jeremy Green (4:48 PM)
I agree... win at get in. Pittsburgh won SB 40 as a 6-seed.... a six could be in order again this season.
Anthony (NYC)
JG looking at the Detroit Lions over the years, can it be said that at some point during the Millen regime there was a commitment towards rebuilding? Because looking at the current roster theres only a handful(one hand) of guys I'd keep.
Jeremy Green (4:49 PM)
THe committment was there but the reason you see that is because of a few handfuls of bad drafts.
Jim Mora (Playoffs?!?)
The Lions have to put up some numbers in the air sometime, right? They're always down by a bunch of points and they have 2 of the 20 best WRs on Earth.
Jeremy Green (4:50 PM)
You would think but that has not been the case the past two games at SF and vs. Chicago.
Ryan (San Diego)
I think its pretty funny how everyone tries to clown on the Chargers for losing to the dolphins but at the same time they praise the fins for being a tough physical team. Pick one. BTW, chargers never do well playing 1 pm et games...they lost every one of those games last year I think.
Jeremy Green (4:50 PM)
Ryan sighting
buffbill77 (metropolis)
Jeremy, Will Trent Edwards bounce back by week 7 to play the Chargers? If he's in who wins, Bills or Chargets?
Jeremy Green (4:51 PM)
Yes I think he will be back although he was knocked silly... I actually thought he might fall out of the cart he was so wobbly. Bye week helps and I think he will be back. As for beating San Diego... let's see how the Chargers play this week first.
Bob (Detroit)
Mean Jeremy Green, what percent would you give the trade of Housh or Roy W. before the deadline?
Jeremy Green (4:53 PM)
Very slim... If either are traded people should give up their season tickets and stop buying their merchandise... that would show a complete lack of committment, especially from the Lions since WIlliams is a franchise receiver.
Lynndon, Las Vegas
i enjoy the Q and A every Friday. What wrong with the Browns they had such a good season last year. Why such a dropoff this season?
Jeremy Green (4:54 PM)
Injuries at the WR position have hindered the offense. Derek Anderson is not playing well. The schedule is much tougher.
Prince (Pittsburgh)
Are you saying the Steelers are in line for a 6 seed? That's crazy talk! No way the Steelers don't win the North. They're not perfect but gimme a break. It's not like Baltimore is gonna catch 'em.
Jeremy Green (4:55 PM)
Am I making sense... I never said Pitt would be the 6th seed.... they will win their division... I am saying the AFC is wide open... I don't care if you are Pittsburgh or Miami... get in and you have a shot.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Ryan is kind of like Beetlejuice. Call out the Chargers three times and he appears.
Brad(NM)
Hey JG...when are the Colts going to play like the Colts? My Peyton Manning first pick is KILLING my fantasy squad! What will be the best game to watch this weekend in your opinion?
Jeremy Green (4:56 PM)
I am leaning towards NE-SD as MUST SEE TV. As for Manning I am not sure he will be right all season. He is clearly not 100% and neither is the offensive line.
Mike (San Diego)
JG...who do you have this week...Iggles/Niners and why?
Jeremy Green (4:57 PM)
Like the Eagles on the road. Go back to last season and look what Jim Johnson did to the Martz offense in Detroit. They will pressure O'Sullivan all day long,
Matt (Carolina)
NFC South champ...name it.
Jeremy Green (4:59 PM)
Carolina
ryan(NJ)
Thoughts on the Jets? Playoff team?
Jeremy Green (5:00 PM)
Better but no a playoff team. Still not sold on Favre in the system or the defense.
Ryan (Chicago)
Harrison and Woodley for the Steelers-- best OLB tandem in the NFL?
Jeremy Green (5:01 PM)
Best young tandem without question...
Jeremy Green (5:01 PM)
OK guys... thanks for the great questions.... everyone enjoy the games this weekend,
