We'll have Colin in a few minutes -- keep sending in those questions!
Colin Cowherd (1:06 PM)
Hi everybody!
Scott (East Lansing)
Who is your favorite play-by-play announcer?
Colin Cowherd (1:06 PM)
Depends on the sport. Joe Buck is way up there for me.
Nebraska Football (Lincoln)
Will I ever be relevant again?
Colin Cowherd (1:06 PM)
Yeah, sure, but cold weather teams are all facing the same reality. They can't get the depth of skill players that warm weather teams can.
Max (Atlanta)
The more I watch Penn State, the more I like them. How does Penn State-Florida sound in the National Championship?
Colin Cowherd (1:07 PM)
Possible if the Nittany Lions can beat the Buckeyes.
Craig (Redding, CA)
Hey Colin. How do you see the Saints doing the rest of the season. The offense is just carrying the defense and now the depleted kicking game.
Colin Cowherd (1:07 PM)
Like them a lot. Don't think they're great, but I think they're explosive. The problem is the division is better than everybody thought.
Neal (West Palm Beach)
Are the Colts genuinely back, or was Sunday's game an aberration?
Colin Cowherd (1:08 PM)
Very impressive win. THe Ravens defense was No. 1 in rushing and passing. Looks like they're back to me.
Tim (Indianapolis)
Do my Steelers have a legit chance to win the Super Bowl? Why and why not?
Colin Cowherd (1:08 PM)
I Don't really think so at this point. I just like other teams more.
Scott (Greenville, SC)
I now you have banged on Clemson the whole year, much deserved. What do you think of the move to get rid of Bowden?
Colin Cowherd (1:08 PM)
He was incompetent. Get rid of him.
steven (salem, al)
colin, is joe torre the reason for the dodgers success?
Colin Cowherd (1:09 PM)
He doesn't hurt the effort, but it's about healthy, hot starting pitching and Rafael Furcal coming back.
Kevin (Greeley, CO)
Does Arizona's win over Dallas Sunday make more of a case that Arizona is for real or the Dallas Jerry Jones's are coming apart?
Colin Cowherd (1:09 PM)
Both.
Darrell (Fort Wayne, Indiana)
Will Michigan be good again in my lifetime?
Colin Cowherd (1:10 PM)
Absolutely. Pete Carrol was terrible at USC his first year. Takes time to start a business. You've got to flush out somebody else's players.
Eric (Norman)
Is it possible that Oklahoma could face Texas in the national title game?
Colin Cowherd (1:10 PM)
No. People don't want to see that. You've already played.
Charlie (Los Angeles)
Which 2 teams would you love to see play for the National Title Game?
Colin Cowherd (1:11 PM)
I want to watch a few more weeks. I still think USC-Florida would be very compelling. Great coaches. Great skill-players. Both very good big game programs.
Ian (Tuscaloosa)
Can Alabama run the table?
Colin Cowherd (1:12 PM)
No, I don't think so. They don't have a lot of depth and offensively they lack a lot of playmakers but frankly the SEC is way down this year, so maybe.
Dustin W. (Centerville, OH)
Will Notre Dame ever compete for another National Title?
Colin Cowherd (1:13 PM)
I don't think so. The best thing they have going for them -- they're not in a conference -- so they can schedule relaly weak games and go 12-0.
Markus (DC)
Is baseball a dying sport in America? Even with good match ups, the ratings have been worse than college football.
Colin Cowherd (1:14 PM)
They have completely lost 18-34 year old men. With all these late starting times at the World Series for 20 years. They'fev lost a generation of young males who have gone over to college football and MMA.
Alex (Alabama)
I think the Big XII is better than the SEC this year, but it's funny how at one time, they have 5 Top 10 teams, and a few weeks later, they're "down." Thoughts?
Colin Cowherd (1:15 PM)
The QB play in the SEC is dreadful. It makes their defenses look a lot better than they are.
Norm Chow (L.A.)
Which head coaching job should I pursue afer this year?
Colin Cowherd (1:16 PM)
Norm is a lifetime No. 2 -- nothing wrong with that as long as you realize it.
Jeremiah (Norfolk, VA)
Buying or selling the Buckeyes with Pryor?
Colin Cowherd (1:16 PM)
Short term selling -- long term buying.
Reggie (Omaha)
How was soccer this weekend?
Colin Cowherd (1:17 PM)
My daughter scored four goals -- so she loved it. Not going to lie though -- 8 year old girls soccer is generally not fascinating.
Scott (East Lansing)
What's your upset pick for college football this week?
Colin Cowherd (1:18 PM)
Missouri over Texas. Michigan State over Ohio State.
brian b (horseheads ny)
guess the ratings of a psu usc national champ game
Colin Cowherd (1:18 PM)
Probably about a 13.5-14
Ken (Portland)
I agree that Trent Dilfer is amazing to listen to. Who's next on your favorite interview/breakdown list?
Colin Cowherd (1:19 PM)
Peter Gammons on baseball is always interesting.
Casey (State College, Pa)
who would have the best rating for the national title?
Colin Cowherd (1:20 PM)
Two big traditional powers would do well. Texas-USC, Penn State-USC....
Andrew (Rochester, NY)
Colin what are your thoughts on the start of the NHL season?
Colin Cowherd (1:20 PM)
I virtually have none.
Scott (East Lansing)
Do you ever guest spot on other shows?
Colin Cowherd (1:20 PM)
I do interviews, but I don't fill-in.
Bill (NJ)
What hour during your show historically do you get the most listeners at?
Colin Cowherd (1:21 PM)
The hour I take off my shirt and broadcast nude.
Dee (Pdx)
Colin, How will the Trailbalzers do this year?
Colin Cowherd (1:21 PM)
Five or six seed in the West.
Chad (Oklahoma)
Will the Patriots make the postseason?
Colin Cowherd (1:22 PM)
Their schedule lightens up, so, yes, they have a chance.
Ossie (Orlando)
Where will you be doing your next remote?
Colin Cowherd (1:22 PM)
Austin, Texas on Friday
Ira (San diego)
does this chatroom creep you out?
Colin Cowherd (1:22 PM)
No, but I wish some people would use deodorant.
Bill (Elmira, New York)
Of the starting QBs in the NFL today, where does Eli Manning rank, behind who and in front of who?
Colin Cowherd (1:23 PM)
He's way up there. He's learned what passes not to throw. He's really matured in the last year. I'd put him near the very top of the list.
Cole (Portland)
Any thoughts on Oregon football so far?
Colin Cowherd (1:24 PM)
They need to flush out most of those coaches.
Roach (Chi-Town)
Pull my finger ?
Colin Cowherd (1:24 PM)
Nobody under 12 in the chat -- you know the rules.
CHADAROOSKY (FLORIDA)
colin, I was at the bucs game yesterday. The defense is just nasty! why do you think the bucs are so up and down? win some lose some?!?
Colin Cowherd (1:25 PM)
Their QB instability could be an issue. But otherwise, things are looking up.
Chris (Omaha)
If Bama, Texas, PSU and USC all have one loss, who would you like to see in the NCG?
Colin Cowherd (1:25 PM)
I would say Texas -- they played the toughest schedule.
Doug (Walla Walla)
Colin, will USC put up 80pts or more against WSU this weekend?
Colin Cowherd (1:26 PM)
Sadly, that's not out of the realm of possibility. My college flag football team could beat them.
Ira (San diego)
is larry luchino the smartness man in basenball? and subsequently is sandy alderson the most asinine?
Colin Cowherd (1:29 PM)
He's not the smartest guy in his own organization -- Theo Epstein is.
Chris (Erie)
Colin, why do you think that Ohio State will beat Penn State in two weeks?
Colin Cowherd (1:29 PM)
Home team. Big game.
