Craig Haubert (3:03 PM)
What's up recruiting fans -- big week so far - recruiting this week has mirrored the stock market for some teams with some key de-commitments. lets get started
Alan Lincoln, Nebraska
What are the chances Nebraska lands David Oku, Corey Adams, or Keenan Graham?
Craig Haubert (3:05 PM)
I think the Huskers have the best shot with the talented defensive end Graham -- after that possibly Adams - but of the 3 Graham is likely the best possibility
Who are the key de-commits you speak of?
Craig Haubert (3:09 PM)
Check out the OTT section on the recruiting home page for the latest news -- but WR McNeal de-committed from Mich. -- Clemson lost two key guys - Tajh Boyd has de-committed from WVU
Randy (St. Paul)
With Bryce McNeal back out on the market, is there a good possibility that he will stay home and play for the Gophers, especially considering their on field success this year?
Craig Haubert (3:10 PM)
Michigan is still in the race for him, but at this point I do think the in-state Gophers have a good shot at him
Michigan's future offense took a hit this week with the decommitment of Minn WR Bryce McNeal, but another big time reciever, Rueben Randle, has maintained that UM would be receiving an official visit. Seems like it would be hard to pull him out of Tigerland, but with one teammate already committed to UM, how good of a shot do the Wolverines have?
Craig Haubert (3:11 PM)
Getting Randle would be huge - especially in the wake of losing McNeal. Also it does seem that Michigan is in the mix and some interest is there on Randle's part.
Craig Haubert (3:13 PM)
That being said -- I think it is a long shot -- like you said - it is hard to get Louisiana players away from LSU when the Tigers set their sites on a guy (it can be done - but very very tough) - also after the LSU factor i think some teams among his top schools may still be slightly ahead of Michigan in the grand scheme of thing.
Austin: San Diego, CA.
Does Shaquelle Evans look like a lock for Notre Dame and do they have a chance with Jelani Jenkins?
Craig Haubert (3:14 PM)
Note going to say lock -- that USC campus is very close to Evans, but it does look like ND has got themselves in the drivers seat and it is their game to lose so to speak.
Craig Haubert (3:15 PM)
Tough call on Jenkins still many teams in the mix for him -- have to wait until some more schools get cut out before we can get a legitimate feel for how the Irish are doing with him.
Paul Mesa, AZ
Since Michigan does not have the quarterback they need for their system, who do you see them getting to fill that need and how good are they?
Craig Haubert (3:18 PM)
Paul -- I think they have two very good candidates already on board in Tate Forcier and Shavodrick Beaver. Both fit the mold of what Michigan seems to want in a QB - I think Forcier may be more ready to play right away of the two.
where do you see Tajh Boyd going now? Thanks.
Craig Haubert (3:20 PM)
Coming off his de-commitment it looks like Tenn and BC are two major players and of those two i think BC has the better shot.
Do you think Savage will be ready to step in and start for Rutgers next year? Do you like him better than last year's recruit Jefferson?
Craig Haubert (3:23 PM)
Savage is a talented kid -- And Rutgers may need him to play right away -- but that is always a tall order. We do like DC Jefferson though as he is a kid with a bunch of talent. It was very weird though that whole thing that went down with him going back-&forth with Rutgers and LSU. Bottom line - Rutgers has two good options.
How serious is Chris Bond's injury, and where do you think he ends up? It looks to be an Ala/ND/USC battle, no?
Craig Haubert (3:24 PM)
It looks like a slight set-back for Bonds with the MCL -- have not spoken to him since he last went to the doctor, but he felt confident things were good long term.
Zach Bloomfield Hills, MI
With the decommitments of safeties Craig Loston and Devonte Holloman, where do you see them ending up?
Craig Haubert (3:27 PM)
I think LSU may end up being the spot for Loston, I think that may have happened even if Bowden didn't get fired. I think LSU may be a good possibility for Holloman also as well as the Carolina schools.
Jeff (Rochester NY)
Here is an odd question.. who are the top kickers and what schools are they looking at?
Craig Haubert (3:29 PM)
Our top 4 kickers are already committed -
What are the chances Texas lands any of there remaining big targets: McFarland, Kirkpatrick, Loston, etc?
Craig Haubert (3:30 PM)
I think Kirkpatrick is a super super longshot - like I already said I kind of like LSU for Loston, but Texas has a shot and same with McFarland
Matt (Atlanta GA)
Any chance the buckeyes get both Marlon Brown and the big Tackle Marcus Hall from Glenville??
Craig Haubert (3:33 PM)
Yes - but right now slim to getting both - Buckeyes in race for Brown - but i would put Tenn and Georgia ahead of OSU for Brown
J D [ VA}
Tennesseeis not doing so good these year but how's there recriting going along?
Craig Haubert (3:35 PM)
Not a great year on the field, but things going much better on the recruiting trail -- they did lose QB Nunes - but still a good class with 3 ESPNU 150 guys.
With Devon Kennard's injury, how do you see his committment playing out? Are less teams interested? Has he hinted where he'll end up?
Craig Haubert (3:37 PM)
Don't expect teams to back off Kennard due to the injury -- he will heal --and he is still a great talent - only real impact is that it may hinder his ability to play as a true freshman, but he is still a hot commodity.
Josh (Irvine, CA)
Which undecided recruits do you see USC having a good shot to land?
Craig Haubert (3:39 PM)
speaking of Kennard he is one also, LB Manti Te'o and OG John Martinez to name a few.
Craig Haubert (3:41 PM)
Thanks for the questions - great stuff -- we will be back next Wed. and be sure to check out the Recruiting Insider on ESPNU tomorrow and Friday night. Thanks
