Aaron, football is big in Florida. What's a game like for you? How do you handle the pressure?
Aaron Murray (3:38 PM)
I think Florida is the best state for high school football. The speed is so different than other parts of hte country. It's fun. Every week, you're not playing scrubs, you're not totally killing teams. It makes it challenging and makes you earn the win.
James (Chicago)
What's your favorite day for football - Friday night, Saturday or Sunday?
Aaron Murray (3:39 PM)
Definitely Friday night. I love football so much. After that, definitely Saturday. I'm playing or watching football all weekend. Football pretty much absorbs my life this time of year.
jakaris (florida)
why did u choose georgia bulldogs over florida gators..
Aaron Murray (3:40 PM)
The main reason was their coaching staff. When I went up there, coach Richt and all the others were real cool guys. They were all about getting to know me. They didn't push me into committing. I did like them. I like their offense. They have a bunch of great athletes on their team. They're young and continue to get better.
Vance (Philadelphia)
How do you think Florida matches up with Texas for high school football?
Aaron Murray (3:41 PM)
I think it's probably Florida, Texas and California. If you want speed, Florida is where you go. As you go to the next level, it's all about speed. It makes the game a whole other level.
Matt (Athens, GA)
Are there any players that youve talked into committing to Georgia?
Aaron Murray (3:42 PM)
Oh yeah. I've got a list of names and numbers of the top recruits in the nation. I'm trying to get some receivers to go there and some OL. We have a pretty good recruiting class already, but I think we can make it better.
John (Atlanta)
What do you listen to before your games? You seem like a rock guy...
Aaron Murray (3:42 PM)
Not rock and roll. I listen to slow songs to relax. Right before the game I'll listen to Eminem and listen to some of his songs to get pumped up.
Jeremy (Bristol, CT)
what QBs do you model your game after?
Aaron Murray (3:43 PM)
I don't really model my game after anyone. I never really grew up having a favorite team or player. I enjoyed watching good QB play. Manning, Brady I enjoy seeing what makes them great QBs.
Devon, N.J.
What's the most realistic football movie you've seen?
Aaron Murray (3:45 PM)
My favorite football movie is probably Remember the Titans. I've watched it probably 20-25 times and I still like it. And for the most realistic, I just watched The Express this past weekend and it got me all pumped up watching it.
John (Atlanta)
How far is your farthest pass? Have you ever just thrown for distance?
Aaron Murray (3:46 PM)
I think my farthest TD in a game is around 70-75 yards. I've just goofing around at the end of practice, I've tried throwing it and I think my farthest was 72-75 yards.
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
Aaron, Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Aaron Murray (3:46 PM)
Before the game, I don't really like to touch anyone with my hand. I usually close my fist. That's probably the thing that I do - no high-fives or holding hands in the huddle.
John (Atlanta)
Did you grow up a Georgia fan?
Aaron Murray (3:48 PM)
No, I never really had a favorite team growing up. I had family up in Georgia and we used to visit all the time. Before I was recruited, someone asked me if I could go any place, Georiga was one of them. They were a team that I watched and I liked it up in Georgia.
Brian, LA
How close are you with any of the other Elite 11 qbs? What was your impression of Richard Brehaut?
Aaron Murray (3:49 PM)
I've stayed in touch with them. The guys I've stayed in touch with the most are Brehaut, Tom Savage, Zach, Todd - he was in town for a preseason game and he stopped by. We stay in touch either text messages or Facebook and MySpace.
Steve (Tallassee, AL)
Go to Texas A&M and play college football; they need a great passing quarterback.
John (Atlanta)
Do you do anything special for your lineman? You've got a pretty good offensive line down there at Plant.
Aaron Murray (3:50 PM)
For every game that I don't get sacked, I take them out to lunch. It's good we get to go out, hang out, develop a bond. If you play hard for one another, they'll play good for you in the end. I just have to make sure they're happy and clicking on all cylinders.
Aaron Murray (3:51 PM)
Thanks for all the support. Keep rooting for the Panthers and the Georgia Bulldogs!
