JG will be here shortly!
Mad Mike (Houston)
Yooohoooooo........JG???????
Jeremy Green (4:13 PM)
Sorry I am late Mad Mike! Great weekend, with a lot of great games and when was the last time Colts-Pats was not the game of the week?
Chris Salinas CA
Jeremy what do you think of Mike Singletarys pants drop to movatie the team
Jeremy Green (4:16 PM)
I think the halftime thing was a little staged. He definitely has a different coaching style coming from the player perspective. He is not using what you would deem normal coaching techniques, and I do have some concerns that he could lose this football team.
Mike (San Diego)
JG, I normally reserve dropping my pants to motivate the wife...anywho...who you got, Iggles/SeaBags and why?
Jeremy Green (4:17 PM)
I got the Eagles. I think they have way too much versatility for the Seattle defense to deal with because they are not stopping the run or the pass,a nd No. 36 makes a huge difference for that team. It's Seneca Wallace vs. Jim Johnson, a complete mismatch.
Nizar ( Emerson, NJ )
Who wins this week. Giants vs Cowboys ? Why? Also, does Brandon Jacobs make the Pro Bowl ?
Jeremy Green (4:20 PM)
I think this is all New York Giants. I think this is a complete mismatch. Dallas cannot run the ball right now, because Johnson cannot throw deep so teams are loading the box. And if Dallas goes into pass mode, they will get handled by the quicker more atheltic Giants front four...Giants in a route. As for Jacobs, I think he is definitely in the mix. A lot still to be seen. AP, Portis are both locks and then it comes down to Barber, Westbrook and Jacobs fighting for that last spot.
Zach (Bristol)
Jeremy, what are you dressing up as for Halloween?
Jeremy Green (4:21 PM)
As ESPN's Jeremy Green. I was going to be Tatum Bell but Roy Williams took it from me.
Jeremy Green (4:22 PM)
By the way, my son loves the Cowboys so we roder a Tony Romo costume, which they did not have...instead we get sent the T.O. uni...every dad's dream.
Brian (Dover)
JG, Will it be enough for Pittsburgh to control Portis to win Monday? Wouldn't you say the key is to keep Big Ben's uniform clean?
Jeremy Green (4:24 PM)
The key to me if Pittsburgh is 0-2 against the NFC East and thekey in both games has been Big Ben getting sacks. But I like Steelers on the road here because they can stop the run with that D, and Washington is 30th in sacks per pass attempts.
Will J (Portland, OR)
Any word on whether Parker will play this weekend? I would expect him to still split carries for awhile, but getting him back would be a tremendous boost.
Jeremy Green (4:26 PM)
He has practicved all week with no setbacks. He also has an extra days rest. I think he will play, but will be limited to 10-15 carries. I think they will bring him back, but slowly.
Chuck (Minneapolis)
JG - thoughts on the Aaron Rodger's contract extension?
Jeremy Green (4:28 PM)
I like the deal. Once Favre left, even though they drafted two QBs, he was the future and has played great fotball. What has held the Packers back in the lack of a running game and their defense. I think he is a Pro Bowl player and can lead the Packers to a Super Bowl title.
Paul (Trenton, NJ)
Do you think Romo will be back as the starter and in his usual form right after the bye week?
Jeremy Green (4:29 PM)
I think he will play after the bye week...back to the usual form, he still to me is a young QB who missed a lot of practice and it may take him time to get back into the rhythm and he will be playing in a tough place in Washington. And we will not know what % he will be at when he comes back.
Nick (FL)
As a former scout, do you think that Tim Tebow has a shot at becoming an NFL starter at QB?
Jeremy Green (4:31 PM)
I do not think he is a lock by any means. I think he still has a lot to prove. He is a great runner, but he cannot get away with that at the next level, he also needs to become more accurate.
TO (Dallas)
Your kid is dressed as me? He probably won't get the ball either.
Ryan (Wisconsin)
Carolina is playing great ... meaning possibly big pay down for free agents. Gross, Peppers, Gamble. Who do they have the best chance at keeping?
Jeremy Green (4:37 PM)
The numbers may not be there, like they were in the past, but Julius Peppers is playing great football. He gets double-teamed all the time and opens up plays for other players.
Matt Buffalo NY
Do you think Buffalo will make the playoffs this year?
Jeremy Green (4:38 PM)
I think they will get in as a Wild Card. They are one of those teams at 5-2 whose margin for error is very slim. A bad play here or there could cost them a win, because I expect them to be in some very close games in the seocnd half of the year.
Marc (city of brotherly love)
Happy Green Day!!!! Will Daunte Culpepper ever play again? It seems like such a waste of talent considering some of the other starting QB's in the league. PS How about those Phillies?
Jeremy Green (4:40 PM)
He has been negotiating with Detroit. They would like to sign him, but he needs to get an agent. An agent would really help. And I think he can still play in this league when I look around the league at the Lions, 49ers etc. Culpepper is better than 5-8 NFL starters right now.
Paul (Asheville)
Which winless team will crack the lock on the win column first?
Jeremy Green (4:41 PM)
Tough. I think Detorit is the better team but the Bengals have an easier schedule. So when I consider that I think the Bengals will win first.
Max (Norfolk)
Can the Rams beat Arizona without Steven Jackson?
Jeremy Green (4:42 PM)
I think they can. Pittman had a solid game last week, and gave them nice balance. This games comes down to whether or not the Rams can get pressure on Warner to protect their overmatched CBs.
Brian (Mpls, MN)
Jeremy - If you are the GM for the Vikes, what move do you make for which QB in the off season? Thanks.
Jeremy Green (4:45 PM)
They are going to have to restart at the position. I think they have to figure out what Tennessee and Arizona are doing with their QBs. If one of those teams do not want their young guys they may pursue. But I do not think they are going to be able to repair Tarvaris Jackson's ego. They may have to start over.
Marc (city of brotherly love)
Hey Jeremy! Just how good do you think Matt Ryan will be. He looked awfully impressive last Sunday. Mr. Blank must be thrilled with his investment. Thanks.
Jeremy Green (4:46 PM)
This looks like a great pick. If the flacons keep getting better than I think the sky is the limit as far as Pro Bowls and Super Bowls. He is already so far ahead of where Big Ben, Eli, and Cutler were at this point on what is a pretty average football team.
Brian (DE)
How do you see the Steelers season playing out? Part of the brutal schedule (NE, Indy, SD) now seem manageable.
Jeremy Green (4:49 PM)
I think they will still win the division, as the second best team in the AFC. But I think the match ups are not good for them, with the great front fours in Tennessee and New England once the playoffs start
Kyle (Charlotte)
Will the Lions go 0-16? I don't see a W anywhere on this schedule.
Jeremy Green (4:51 PM)
I have 1. Viking at home. A lot of times you just do not see a win coming, like Denver in KC. This team still has Calvin Johnson, who is dominant. They are good enough on offense to sneak up on someone, and they will not go winless.
Jeremy Green (4:52 PM)
Have a great Halloween. Enjoy the games this weekend, it should be a great weekend of football. See you back here, next Friday on GreenNation!
