Matt will be here soon!
Matt Reis (3:07 PM)
I hope everyone had a wonderful election day and may the best man win.
Greg Boston MA
Why the green goalkeeper kit?
Matt Reis (3:07 PM)
It was just something I has been trying to get. I know no other team in the MLS wears green, so I knew I would not have to change it often and it was something that stuck with me.
GB Townsend MA
My girlfriend loves you. She's hoping you won't bring back the mustache. Will you?
Matt Reis (3:08 PM)
Maybe. I only grow hair on certain parts of my body, and my upper lip is one of them.
Hans T. CT
How do you prepare for a game against Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Brian McBride, and Chris Rolfe?
Matt Reis (3:09 PM)
There really is no difference from game to game. It is important to focus on yourself and them team and what you do well. You need to limit their good service though, because if they do not see the ball that much they cannot do much damage.
Douglas
Do you see yourself as having a career in broadcasting after your soccer career is over?
Matt Reis (3:11 PM)
I am not sure what happens after soccer, although I know it is coming. That is an option, now whether they will have me and I will be successful is another question. But I do enjoy it, it's fun, and I do want to stay with soccer and do something with soccer after I'm done playing
Wyatt (Boston, Mass)
Hey, Good luck on Thursday. Would you consider watching games in the Fort if you ever retire?
Matt Reis (3:12 PM)
Sure, I would love to. I can't see many soccer games and it would be something I would like to do once I am done playing. I would like to be a spectator a bit.
Burud, Massachusetts
Do you do a lot of trash talking or ever try to psych out your opponent before a PK?
Matt Reis (3:13 PM)
No. There are things you try to pick up; little keys or tells people have. But some of these guys are so good, they will show you things because they know you are looking for something. You do not want to fire people up too much.
Kirk Lazarus, Hollywood, CA
What type of music do you listen to before game time? What revs you up?
Matt Reis (3:14 PM)
A lot of things do. I have a pretty wide musical base, but I really like Radiohead, and my taste is all over the place, and not straight jock jams.
Tanya, CA
What was that you were wearing around your neck in the first leg of the conference semi-final vs. the Chicago Fire?
Matt Reis (3:15 PM)
It was just a turtle to keep me warm. The worst thing is to be cold, since you spend a lot of time watching the action as a golakeeper. I lose a lot of heat through the top of my head.
Eric (MA)
Will the revs win the MLS Cup this year
Matt Reis (3:16 PM)
Absolutely. We have a tough road ahead of us, but I think we have the players to get it done.
Christine (Brooklyn)
do you ever read any blogs or message boards?
Matt Reis (3:17 PM)
Not really when it comes to soccer. You cannot trust everything you read, but everyone has a right to an opinion.
Dave (Champaign, IL)
Are you ready to get owned by Chicago?
Matt Reis (3:18 PM)
No we are not really ready to get owned by anyone. It's the playoffs so anything can happen and that's why you play. I look forward to the challenge.
Matt (Fairfax, VA
How important is it to you, to get a soccer specific stadium for the Revolution?
Matt Reis (3:20 PM)
I think it can only help. we have a great fan base here in New england. I think soccer-specific stadiums do enjoy a bit of an improved revenue and I think moving forward it can happen. But the Krafts are smart business people and will only make a move that males sense.
Matt Reis (3:21 PM)
That's my time. If you're eligible to vote, get out there and do your duty!
