Roy should be here soon, everyone!
Roy Jones Jr. (4:04 PM)
Hey, thanks for tuning in!
William Kidwell Steubenville,Ohio
Roy how different is fightig a guy like Calzaghe than say Tarver or Trinidad.
Roy Jones Jr. (4:05 PM)
He throws so many more punches and keeps the pressure right on you.
Craig (Erie, PA)
Hey Roy, best of luck on Saturday, hope you show us you still go it and send Joe back across the ocean with his first defeat. Win or lose though, any chance we see you fighting BHop in the near future?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:05 PM)
I don't know. If a good deal can be made, sure.
Brock (Belleville, IL)
Has it been more difficult leading up to this fight because you are the promoter also?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:06 PM)
Yes, because I have to do more things than Joe. But it's all good, it's all part of being a promoter.
Joe, NYC
What will you do to counter Calzaghe's punch output and high work rate? Do you predict a knockout?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:06 PM)
I don't predict a knockout, but I'll try to get in good punches as opposed to many punches.
Columbus, Ga
Roy Thanks for bringing entertainment back to boxing. My question is. Do you see yourself fighting well into your 40's like Benard Hopkins or it do you see the end of the tunnel?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:07 PM)
I don't see the end of the tunnel, but I'm not sure yet.
Clement (Philadelphia, PA)
Hey Roy, are you still making music. If so, how do you balance that with your training.
Roy Jones Jr. (4:07 PM)
Yes, and I just do it on my off time, when I'm not in training.
brian (boston, ma)
Mayweather is a featured guest on the next Ludacris album. Who wins in a freestyle battle, you or money may?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:08 PM)
Money May might win that.
Kevin (Glasgow, KY)
Roy, How do you feel your stamina ia? IF this goes the later rounds, do you feel you have an advantage?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:08 PM)
Yes, I should have the advantage.
Marvyn Charleston, WV
Do you use weights when you train?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:08 PM)
Very little.
Mark (Brooksville, Fla.)
Roy,Who is the best fighter that you have ever faced inside the square circle?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:09 PM)
Probably James Toney.
angel bermudez (newjersey)
roy how do u deal with a southpaw like calzaghe ? what is the best plan ?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:10 PM)
Just be smart, and stay out in front of him.
Tim (Pittsburgh,PA)
Roy, how does it feel to be the underdog for a big fight for a change?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:10 PM)
I like it, it feels great. Now all the pressure isn't on me.
Daniel (Santa Monica, CA)
Do you feel you have anything left to prove in the boxing world?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:11 PM)
No, I don't really have anything left to prove.
Sam (Houston)
Now that your body has gotten used to 175 again, will we see you fighting more in the middle of the ring where you are pretty much untouchable? Also, James Toney went on record and predicted you the winner. Are you guys friends now?
Roy Jones Jr. (4:12 PM)
We've been friends since we've fought, and yes, I think I'll be in the ring a little bit more.
Roy Jones Jr. (4:12 PM)
Thanks to all my fans, and look forward to a wonderful fight--a wonderful victory.
