HE's really impressive. I'm sure UVA regrets it didn't get him. BC's front seven even without Toal has been very good and his development is a big reason why along with Raji and Brace up front.

How do you decide which games to guess in a given week? It seems pretty random on what you choose.

I pick all of the games involving top 25 teams and then the Thursday and Friday night TV games because if I'm watching it really keeps me into it.

Yeah, I'd agree with that point. And if OU beats Tech they'd really help their cause, but what about UT which beat OU head to head? I know OU played a tougher non conference but can you slight a team that beat you and has the same record overall??

Always happy to help someone get away from some school work...to bad I was 10 years too late for the web when I was in school...I'm more convinced on Tech's defense now. I don't think it will shut down OU but I think it's respectable and I think OU will have problems with Tech given how hot Harrell is right now. Tech is playing with a ton of confidence.

Would you say that the MWC conference is as good as the Big East this year? If so, then why don't people make the same argument that Penn State had, that if they would have gone undefeated, they deserve a shot for the national title? Do you think Utah deserves a shot at the national title if they are the highest ranked undefeated team?

I would say the MWC is as good as the Big East, but I wouldn't take an undefeated Utah in the title game over a one-loss Big 12 or SEC team. Those teams will have beaten too many top 10 teams to overlook.

To comment on UF's ranking over OU, there's no debating that OU's loss was better than UF's; however, I'm pretty sure the consensus is that if UF and OU were to play each other today, UF would be a consensus favorite. First, OU would have to match Florida's SEC-quality defense. Second, unlike many of its SEC peers, Florida has an offense that can compete with the best of them in the Big 12. Am I right on this?

You're probably right but the folks in Vegas don't factor in the BCS criteria or at least theyre not supposed to. To add to your point, I imagine USC would be a favorite almost everyone too, but I don't think they'd get in over an undefeated Alabama or Tech.

Crab. I think he's the best pure player in college football. I talked to some NFL DBs who tried to cover him last summer and they said the guy is a beast.

That is a ton of money! I've heard anywhere from $12 mil to $20 mil. I think ND's best hope if you want to lose Weis is if ND loses to Navy or Syracuse and then gets drilled at USC. At that point I think Weis being a loyal ND guy might look himself in the mirror and say, I've tried everything and it aint working. I should let someone else have a shot. Although I doubt that happens.

It's a top 20 job for sure...it has great facilities and an awesome stadium and strong tradition and manageable admissions standards and hefty recruiting budgets... the downside is it's not easy to win in that league and there aren't a ton of recruits to pluck in the local area.

Maybe, although the rest of USC's schedule isn't going to afford them much shot of impressing people. It's a mediocre Stanford, a bad ND and a worse UCLA.

I think they can. Shannon's on the right track with last year's recruiting class. Now he needs to load up on some more quality linemen. Because of the quality of football down there Miami's always going to be a potential factor. There's too much history and connections and talent lingering around for them not to be.
