Chat with Major League Gamer Warrior
![]() |
Kaeding is a member of the professional Gears of War gaming team, The Nsan3z. "Warrior" and his team have been one of the most consistent forces on the MLG Pro Circuit for the past two seasons and have dominated their competition with fluid teamwork. With an event victory in the regular season already, the Nsan3z look to improve on last year's solid second place season finish with a National Championship victory.
Send your questions for Warrior now and join The Show at 4 p.m. ET to chat with him on Friday!

Warrior will be here at the top of the hour!
Warrior (4:01 PM)
Hey, what's up?
Jamie, SC
How did you get the nickname "Warrior"?
Warrior (4:02 PM)
I was playing with my team and we were throwing down ideas for a name and one teammate said he saw a motorcycle called Warrior on a commercial on TV, and so we went with that name.
Ripken (Des Moines, IA)
I know that you are the true Ultimate Warrior! What is your favorite gaming system of all time and what is the best tasting energy drink to play games with?
Warrior (4:04 PM)
I think the best gaming system of all-time is the 360. There is so much it can do. It's amazing. And the best energy drink ever is Rockstar, I cannot get enough of it. I drink it 3-5 times a week, at least!
G. Pina (West Warwick, RI)
Congrats on finishing 2nd at nationals last year. What do you need to do to improve and win it all? Hi to all US veterans!
Warrior (4:05 PM)
Definitely I need to improve my individual skill, and I feel I have quite a bit. We also need amazing teamwork, which matters so much in Gears of War; teamwork is the difference between 1st and 8th in Gears. So teamwork and individual skill, and both are looking good so far.
RoweLa (Dallas, TX)
How long have you known the players on your team?
Warrior (4:06 PM)
I have known them for about 3-4 years now. We all live in the same area. It really helps build communication between us all.
Kevin ( San Jose, CA)
How many hours you spend on gears of war & are you ready for vegas
Warrior (4:08 PM)
I spend about a good 5-8 hours on Gears on an average day. For Vegas, I feel this is the most prepared I have ever been and I really, really cannot wait.
Cowboy Ron (Piston, PA)
How much money can be won at a tournament for a serious gamer?
Warrior (4:09 PM)
Right now, for Gears, the most you can win is about $1000 per person at any given tournament. In Vegas the pay out is about $5000 per player, so that's where the big money is made.
David (Saint Paul, MN)
What is your favorite team on madden (if you play)
Warrior (4:10 PM)
I never turn my back on the home team so I will say the KC Chiefs, although we are not looking to hot this year.
Rick Rocket (Providdence)
Do they drug test before Major League Gamer competitions? Do you think they should?
Warrior (4:11 PM)
Right now they don't. I do not really know if they should. I understand if they would. But right now I do not think it is big enough to go that far. But as it expands it may be something MLG should look into.
Roxxy (Pina, IL)
Hi Scottie! We went to middle school together back in the day but you proabably forgot. I wanted to ask you if you thought Halo II was the greasest game ever at the time of its release. Thanks pumpkin!
Warrior (4:12 PM)
When Halo 2 came out I thought it was the best game out there; but the more I played it I started to hate it. But now that I seen Halo 3 I miss Halo 2.
Brandon (Burlington,Ontario,Canada)
Besides Gears of war, What other game would you want to go pro in?
Warrior (4:14 PM)
Probably in Call of Duty. The game takes a lot of skill and it reminds me of Gears because if you die you can really cost your team in certain game types.
Steiny (NYC)
Any relationship to Nate Kaeding?
Warrior (4:15 PM)
Actually, I get that a lot. As far as I know, I have no relation to him. But it would be pretty sweet if I found out down the road that I do.
Steiny (NYC)
Do you like Madden 09?
Warrior (4:16 PM)
It's alright. I think it has improved a lot from '08. But my favorite has to either be Madden '06 or Madden '07.
Warrior (4:17 PM)
Make sure to cheer for us in Vegas. We are shooting for first and I can't wait!
