Tim Graham (2:57 PM)
Hello, everybody. Greetings from warm and sunny Davie, Fla. I'm operating from the Dolphins facility, where Joey Porter has apologized to Matt Jones. That's the big news of the day ...
Tim Graham (2:58 PM)
We'll get rolling at about 3:10 p.m. So hang loose for me.
Tim Graham (3:13 PM)
Be right there guys. Just finishing my Joey Porter post.
Tim Graham (3:17 PM)
OK, guys. Let's roll ...
Atlanta, GA
What's the deal with Buffalo's running game. What is it so poor with this supposed great line?
Tim Graham (3:18 PM)
I never heard of the Bills having a great line. They went into the season with a great left tackle, but their )-line as a unit was considered pretty average.
Andy
Hey Tim, I was at the Bills/Jets games last week, I believe the turning point in that game was when Leon Washington took the kickoff with one step out of bounds and grabbed the ball. How is that considered kickoff out of bounds? I compare it to a basketball player stepping out of bounds and grabbing the ball, he should be out where he grabbed it. Your thoughts?
Tim Graham (3:19 PM)
That's a rule on the books. He used it to his advantage. Based on his body language on Monday, Bills coach Dick Jauron clearly didn't agree with the rule. That might be looked at in the offseason.
Daunte Culpepper (at home studying my playbook)
Please tell me it won't be THAT bad when I start.
Tim Graham (3:19 PM)
It could be a train wreck.
Paul (union beach)
Lets go tim...Miamis going to the post season yey or ney?
Tim Graham (3:20 PM)
I was a guest on First Take on Wednesday and Dana Jacobson asked me who would win the division. I went back and forth and then settled on the Dolphins because of their remaining schedule.
purple people eater
if those yahoos in the afc east were wine...what kind of wine would they be?
Tim Graham (3:21 PM)
Schlitz?
Nick (Bills, NY)
do the bills stand a chance this weekend....can we make a matt casselrole
Tim Graham (3:21 PM)
You're a punny guy, Nick. I think the Patriots will win.
Bob (Bean Town)
Why has nothing been reported about any disciplinary action for Kaczur by Roger Goodell? Illegal prescription drugs is no laughing matter.
Tim Graham (3:22 PM)
Joey Porter wants to know the same thing. What Kaczur got caught with pales in comparison to Matt Jones allegedly getting caught actually cutting up cocaine in his car. Kaczur's eventual charge was a speeding ticket.
Joe (NY)
Hey Tim, Jets Pats next thursday night, who ya got?
Tim Graham (3:23 PM)
I need to see what happens Sunday. This division is so wacky from week to week. Its hard to predict anything.
Jay Cutler (on flight to Denver)
Alright Tim. I was thinking of you when I played last night against the Brownies. So tell me, you did pick me for your fantasy team this week right? Don't come up with Trent Edwards again!
Tim Graham (3:23 PM)
Were you thinking of me when you threw all those interceptions, too?
Bill Belichick
Will everyone quit saying I should be a coach of the year candidate? I got thoroughly outcoached in Indy. A stupid time out that took away a crucial first down...I stupidly went for it on 4th and 15...I forgot to moon the team at halftime. I did awful.
Tim Graham (3:24 PM)
I still think Belichick is doing the best coaching of his career right now. So you'll get no agreement from me.
Tom(Harrisburg,PA)
True or False a Bills lose means the Bills miss the playoffs and finish 7-9 for the 3rd straight year.
Tim Graham (3:25 PM)
More true than false. 0-3 in the division is bad news.
Inquiring Minds Want to Know
What happened to the chat last week? We were crestfallen when you weren't here.
Tim Graham (3:25 PM)
My daughter was born on Wednesday and I took a few days off.
Chris (Orlando)
We all know the Dolphins have the easiest remaining schedule in the NFL, they play 5 teams that are 2-6 or worse and 3 divisional games. My question is how many of the 5 "lesser" opponents will we beat, and how many divisional games will we win (NE, at Buf, at NYJ) I'd say 4 of 5 and 2 of 3.. reasonable?
Tim Graham (3:26 PM)
The non-divisional games are great opportunities because of travel. Teams that come from the Pacific Time Zone to the Eastern are 0-11 this year. The Jets have three of those games in the Meadowlands.
Gary (Toronto, ON)
Hey Tim.... I think Chad Pennington could be a candidate for Comeback Player of the Year... What do you think?
Tim Graham (3:27 PM)
He has already won it once. I think you're allowed to have only one comeback in football. This isn't boxing.
Majeed
Timmy G, Congrats on the girl. Mine just turned 1. Anyways, just wanted to say great job with the blog & chats. GO FINS!
Tim Graham (3:29 PM)
Thanks, Majeed. And thanks to all of you who dropped congratulatory notes in the AFC East mailbag, I was at the Bills game on Sunday and had three people I've never met come up to me after the game (we have to walk outside the stadium to get to the locker rooms) to give congrats. Thanks to everybody!
Vic (Kailua, HI)
In your opinion, who got the best end of the Favre fiasco? Jets, Fins, or Pack?
Tim Graham (3:30 PM)
The Dolphins. I think Chad Pennington might be the most valuable player to his team in the NFL. And, no, I'm not saying he's the NFL MVP. Totally different thing ...
Joey (Brooklyn)
hey tim if the dolphins win the division would that be in consideration for the best story this year along with the rays
Tim Graham (3:31 PM)
I think the story would be huge in the NFL. And Bill Parcells would be knighted ... or something.
John (Tampa bay)
Tim, what's with all this playoff talk about Miami? They've got a weak remaining schedule, but they haven't proven themselves very well against weak teams this year. If they do get into the playoffs, I think they could make a good run. Maybe someone should talk Joey Porter into saying how they'll one up the Rays.
Tim Graham (3:31 PM)
Nobody in the AFC East has proven anything. So all things being equal, the schedule is highly significant.
Eddie (Cali)
Tim, I think teams have the buffalo bills figured out. They just have to attack with quick passes and wear them out eventually and run in the fourth quarter. On defense they just have to drop 8 into coverage and rush 3. What can the bills do about this?
Tim Graham (3:33 PM)
The Bills need to be able to run the ball. Plain and simple. They have to figure out a way to pound the ball late.
Tom Brady (Guiselle's place)
Hey Tim, do you think I better start worrying about Cassell's improvement on the field?
Tim Graham (3:34 PM)
I would think not. If your injury is that bad, your career might be over.
Steiny (NYC)
How good do you think the Jets D is going to be this week?
Tim Graham (3:34 PM)
Against the Rams' offense, the Jets should look like world beaters.
zach university school
im a super huge dork and im thinking about having my first alcoholic beverage tonight, what do you recommend
Tim Graham (3:35 PM)
I think by rule it has to be Boone's Farm.
Greg Oden (sofa)
I have nothing else better to do while I'm resting my injury, so I hope you don't mind me messaging in.
Tim Graham (3:36 PM)
Great to have you, Greg. Are you answering phones at the arena? The Blazers need to get production out of you somehow.
Travis (Poughkeepsie, NY)
Congrats on the Baby girl. Most over rated and under rated player on each team in the division?
Tim Graham (3:36 PM)
I hate these questions because 15 minutes from now I'll think of somebody else, but I'll give it a shot
Tim Graham (3:37 PM)
Jets: Favre (over), Revis (under)
Tim Graham (3:38 PM)
Patriots: Cassel (under), Bruschi (over)
Tim Graham (3:39 PM)
Dolphins: Will Allen (under) ... I can't think of anybody who would qualify as overrated anymore. Wilford is the one who least deserves his money.
Gary (Toronto)
Does the Dolphins run game get back on track this week?
Tim Graham (3:40 PM)
Against the Seahawks at home, they should be able to assert themselves however they want.
Bill (Buffalo,NY)
How big of a loss would it be for the Bills if Kawika Mitchell couldnt go this weekend in NE?
Tim Graham (3:41 PM)
That would be a huge blow. He's their best defensive player still standing.
Travis (Poughkeepsie, NY)
uhh...you forgot a team!
Tim Graham (3:41 PM)
I'm still thinking. I want to say Whitner for underrated.
Greg (Boston)
Back to Belichick..."stupidly went for it on 4th and 15"? What else would he have done with 4:00 to go and no timeouts? Punt? Some people are so stupid that even when they try to criticize others for being dumb they still make themselves look stupid.
Tim Graham (3:43 PM)
I didn't agree with all the Belichick criticism Monday morning. The Patriots went into Indianapolis and should've won. Gaffney dropped a touchdown and David Thomas made a stupid hit to take them out of field-goal range.
Steiny (NYC)
Do you see Paul Posluszny as eventually being a pro bowl LB?
Tim Graham (3:43 PM)
I do, but I thought he would be much more noticeable on Sundays than he has been.
Bill (Buffalo, NY)
Bills: Jason Peters (over), Kyle Williams (under)
Tim Graham (3:44 PM)
Those are two very good ones.
Tim Graham (3:44 PM)
Players and coaches from other teams still are heaping praise on Peters, though.
Marshwan Lynch
some guy on the radio called me marshawn "inch"? im beastmode though...your thoughts
Tim Graham (3:45 PM)
That's a good one. Who coined that phrase? I want to give credit when I use it.
Tim Graham (3:45 PM)
I think Lynch is wildly talented, though. Buffalo's inability to run isn't his fault.
AD (NY)
favorite kicker of all-time?
Tim Graham (3:46 PM)
Donald Igwebuike
Marshwan Lynch
some guy on WGR 550's "THE WHINNNNNNNNER LINE"
Tim Graham (3:47 PM)
He should trademark "Marshawn Inch" before somebody (like me) steals it.
Tom, NYC
Tim, i have a huge trust fund, which game should i go see this weekend?
Tim Graham (3:48 PM)
In the AFC East, the most important game will be Bills-Patriots. The loser probably will be the only team in the division to lose this week. It will be like a two-game swing in the standings.
Billy W (Columbus, OH)
will herm edwards make it to next season as KC's coach?
Tim Graham (3:49 PM)
I think so. It's the front office that needs cleaned out, and Edwards is a high-caliber coach.
Drew Brees (New Orleans)
Im one of the best QBs in the leaugue and my team is still 4-4... what gives?
Tim Graham (3:49 PM)
A lot of knees. That's what are giving in New Orleans.
Vic (Kailua, HI)
If Joey Porter is so adamant about Matt Jones, what's his take on Ricky Williams?
Tim Graham (3:50 PM)
He's not upset at Jones for using drugs. He's upset at the NFL for the way they choose to punish people. So I'm sure Porter has no issues with Williams, who has been punished a lot.
Mike (Shreveport)
If the Fins make the playoffs...is Sparano coach of the year?
Tim Graham (3:50 PM)
He would have to be.
Brandon (Frederick, MD)
On a more general level, do you think the NFL fines are getting ridiculous. Apparently, Steelers Lamarr Woodley was fined for sacking the QB in an "intimidating manner" (10,000). If you don't want to comment b/c you may be fined also, then you don't have to answer, lol.
Tim Graham (3:52 PM)
The fines are over the top this year. One action that I deplore and never see fined is when a player goes to down a ballcarrier that's on the turf and leaps at him head-first. I see that a lot. It's spearing, and it should be called or fined.
Matt Jones
Tim, are you gel'n?
Tim Graham (3:52 PM)
Yes, you felon.
Tim Graham (3:52 PM)
(allegedly)
Mike (New Jersey)
Season is midway, Titans undefeated and lions winless. Are they the best and worst teams respectively?
Tim Graham (3:53 PM)
The bad teams this year are really awful. The Raiders might be the worst. They regressed last week -- if that's even possible.
Billy (Columbus, OH)
true or false: an AFC team that misses the playoffs will have a better record than the AFC west champions
Tim Graham (3:53 PM)
I think that absolutely could happen.
Tom(Harrisburg,PA)
Can you please beg Marv Levy to come back as gm for the Bills, this years draft class is keeping me up at night.
Tim Graham (3:54 PM)
How are they keeping you up at night? Does being invisible make a loud noise?
Ryan (San Diego)
You got the chargers winning the west or what graham?
Tim Graham (3:54 PM)
I guess.
Barack Obama (Washington, DC)
Just wanted to give a shout out to the UB Bulls. Dressed in blue, the crushed the Red and gave me the election. This should be a tradition in Buffalo.
Tim Graham (3:55 PM)
No wonder the Bills are so erratic. They're blue and red.
Gary (Toronto)
Tim, is Fins rookie Donald Thomas done for the year?
Tim Graham (3:55 PM)
Thomas is done. He's on IR.
zach cleveland ohio
should i kill myself for being a browns fan
Tim Graham (3:56 PM)
No. You can just do like I did when they moved: stop caring.
Joey (Brooklyn)
if you could coach any team which one would u?
Tim Graham (3:57 PM)
I would love to call plays for Chris Johnson.
Matt (Hamilton, middle of nowhere, NY)
Tim with my Bills looking like the economy, and a degree in Mathematical Economics, any idea for jobs after I graduate?
Tim Graham (3:57 PM)
Sanitation.
jim wi
how is this guy Thigpen, KC QB ? Matchup this week.
Tim Graham (3:59 PM)
Tyler Thigpen has surprised a lot of people and has given Chiefs fans something to be excited about.
Mike (Mpls)
herm Edwards is a what? Do you base your assessment of him on his failure in KC, or his failure in NY (where he bailed on his team, as they got worse the longer he was in charge)? He plays the 8-8 game, play conservatively so most games are "close". That's not a winning philosophy.
Tim Graham (4:00 PM)
Just letting you know that he still has a good reputation in league circles.
Maxim Afinogenov (Buffalo, NY)
Hey Tim, remember me? On pace for a cool 70 points. Not too bad. Where's the vodka?
Tim Graham (4:01 PM)
The words "on pace" and "Maxim Afinogenov" never seem to work together.
andrew(kapaa, hi)
i bet your the only one that would take edwards over cutler
Tim Graham (4:01 PM)
They can't all be Colt Brennan.
Joe, Buffalo
Miss living in Buffalo at all Tim?
Tim Graham (4:02 PM)
Very much. I might be moving back after this season.
andrew(kapaa, hi)
how can you take over trent edwards over cutler? edwards manages the game cutler carriers his team. plus edward has a running game and a defense. cutler doesnt
Tim Graham (4:02 PM)
The fact you say Edwards has a running game is making people in the first 49 states laugh at you. Check the stats.
Andy (Buffalo ,NY)
Whats your thoughts on bills rookie te derek fine? He looks like he can be the te buffalo has needed for awhile.
Tim Graham (4:04 PM)
I haven't seen enough of him because he was hurt every time I was at Bills training camp. But I do know the front office likes him a lot.
Ernest Wilford (Waste of cap space, FL)
Are you surprised nobody in the east took a serious run at DeAngelo Hall? Miami and NE especially have struggled at times against the pass.
Tim Graham (4:04 PM)
I think the Patriots were very interested and made Hall's short list (from what I've heard).
Ed (Boston)
Will Welker have 100 yards recieving by halftime with Whitner out and a rookie corner lining up against him?
Tim Graham (4:05 PM)
No, but only because he runs short routes. I predict he'll have 100 yards for the game, though.
jim wi
hall just signed with the redskins
Tim Graham (4:06 PM)
I was aware of that.
The rest of the country (shocked)
Shenanigans, Tim. No way anyone could be serious about missing Buffalo.
Tim Graham (4:06 PM)
Then you've never spent any significant time there.
Justin (Allentown, PA)
I just wanted to say that I am a Bills fan, and I laughed at Andrew in Kapaa, HI. In other news, when will the Bills get a D-Line that can touch a QB?
Tim Graham (4:06 PM)
2010
Joey (Brooklyn)
is bill belichick the most hated coach in the league? from spygate to walking off the field with one second left in the super bowl like a loser i think most people despise him
Tim Graham (4:08 PM)
Most hated by fans? Not even close.
Kevin (Las Vegas)
Timothy, should andre reed be in the hall of fame?
Tim Graham (4:10 PM)
He does based on where he was when he retired and the fact the Bills' offense was ahead of its time. But we're finding out it's not as hard to roll up receiving stats like he did in today's NFL.
Bob Deiboldt ( Buffalo NY)
What is your predicted score of the BIlls vs Patriots?
Tim Graham (4:11 PM)
I see Patriots winning by a comfortable margin.
Jonathan (florida)
Tim, Who has the best defense in the division?
Tim Graham (4:11 PM)
Jets
BUFFALO THE CITY
gave you a lot of flack these past couple weeks, but wed be happy to have you back... you gonna work for the news again?
Tim Graham (4:12 PM)
I don't think that can happen. The beauty of working for ESPN is that I can live anywhere I want.
Harry (London)
american football is so barbaric. why don't you guys play some real football
Tim Graham (4:13 PM)
Have you had the stitches removed from your last soccer riot, Harry?
NFL fans
Is Maroney lost for the season? Is NE still the team to beat in the East, now that Buffalo has cooled considerably?
Tim Graham (4:14 PM)
Maroney is on IR, so he's done for the year. I do think the Patriots still are the team to beat -- for now.
Tarantino, Bills
The Bills suck, why do you dedicate so much of the blog to talking about them? They will just dump the rest of the season down the drain like they always do
Tim Graham (4:15 PM)
Them coming back to the rest of the AFC East pack is one of the more substantial story lines at the moment. And they're playing their first divisional games, whereas everybody else played each other in Weeks 1-3.
Greg (Atlantic City, NJ)
how do you think miami does in its last 3 division games? i have them going 4-1 in the others.
Tim Graham (4:16 PM)
2-1 or 1-2
Gary (Toronto)
Best offence in the division?
Tim Graham (4:17 PM)
They're all rather mediocre
Tim Graham (4:17 PM)
Here are the rankings in total offense: Miami 9, NYJ 17, NE 18, Buffalo 20.
the real tarantino
I LOVE THE BILLS AND WOULD NEVER SAY ANYTHING LIKE THAT..............THIS GUY IS A PHONY
Tim Graham (4:18 PM)
That would be a new low: impersonating a chat poster.
Rick-Lowell, MA
Does it surprise you that Cassel and Edwards have very, very similar stats at this point? I mean, a few weeks ago you were all over Edwards, and hating Cassel. Are you surprised that they are almost identical on the stat sheet?
Tim Graham (4:19 PM)
A few weeks ago, Edwards was tearing it up and winning games in the fourth quarter. Then he suffered a concussion. Things change.
Mike, NY
Do you think making the playoffs will come down to Week 17 with NE in Buffalo and Miami at NY?
Tim Graham (4:20 PM)
I do think those games will be decisive. The division is too close, and I don't see any team pulling away so much to render those games moot.
The Buffalo Bills
Hey...just to update you. We just put Ashton Youboty on IR and signed LB Teddy Lehman.
Tim Graham (4:22 PM)
When I enter the chat, I might as well be in another dimension. I just checked my e-mail based on your note, and there is a press release. Thanks for the update.
Tim Graham (4:22 PM)
So that's one more thing we can discuss. More bad news for the Bills.
Greg, NJ
What do you think of Revis' play on the Jets...pro bowl worthy?
Tim Graham (4:23 PM)
Without a doubt.
Lucas (NY)
This is a tough division. With both the Jets and Miami playing really easy schedules in the upcoming games, who do you like winning the AFC East this year?
Tim Graham (4:24 PM)
I was on ESPN2 earlier this week and predicted the Dolphins would win it based on their schedule. But they have to play the games. They'll have to stay healthy, too.
Matt Fahey (NYC)
Is this just Bills chat? Can we have a separate hour devoted to the JETS?!
Tim Graham (4:25 PM)
Maybe you should ask a Jets question. I'm not discriminating here. The Bills fans turn out for this chat. The others don't. So ask a question.
Mike, NY
You've made it clear you think the Pats will win this weekend. What do the Bills need to do to make sure you're wrong?
Tim Graham (4:26 PM)
Put pressure on Matt Cassel and run the ball. ... So now you see why I think the Patriots will win.
Big Rube Frenso, ca
As a raider fan i am so disapointed how the team has dealt with our issues, and the latest one with hall is horrible. Our defense is already bad enough, now were just throwing money away
Tim Graham (4:26 PM)
Yep. Without Hall there's no way you make the playoffs.
Youboty, Schobel, Whitner, Mitchell, and Crowell (Buffalo, NY)
We were supposed to be awesome :-(.
Tim Graham (4:27 PM)
Well, four of those guys were. Remember, the Bills were shopping Youboty hard in the preseason.
Greg (Boston)
As a Patriots fan, I hope the Bills try to run the ball a lot. The way to beat NE is pass, pass, pass. You're doing them a big favor every time you run the ball.
Tim Graham (4:29 PM)
But a game plan with no running attack might as well be forfeiting against Bill Belichick. The Dolphins beat them by running. Yes, the Chargers threw all over the place on the Patriots, but I don't think that was the blueprint.
Lucas (NY)
If Chad can lead the Phins to the playoffs, all Jet fans will immediately become firm believers in karma.
Tim Graham (4:29 PM)
I would say so. I wonder how Laveranues Coles would feel about that.
Ryan Lindell
I feel I will have about 5 field goals and win the game 15-14
Tim Graham (4:30 PM)
I hope you kick better on Sunday than you spell your first name on Friday, Rian.
Juan (Miami, FL)
Tim, lets say the Phins go 8-8 or 9-7 is Sparano the C.O.Y? Is Ronnie the Comeback player of the year? Is Porter the Defensive Player of the year? Of course Ronnie & Porter have to keep playing at a high level.
Tim Graham (4:31 PM)
That's what put me over the top on the Dolphins. I did my AFC East midseason awards this week, and I had Brown as offensive player, Porter as defensive player and Chad Pennington might be the most valuable player to his team in the NFL.
Tim Graham (4:32 PM)
Of course, we can debate all of those if you wish.
Phil Edinboro
Where should i invest my money, NHL.com to watch every Sabres game or Buffalo Bills playoff tickets?
Tim Graham (4:32 PM)
Bills playoff tickets. You'll get a refund.
Tom(Harrisburg,PA)
If the Cardinals do shop Boldin this offseason how involved do you think the bills would be?
Tim Graham (4:34 PM)
He would be a major addition. I'll admit I was way off the mark on James Hardy. I thought he would be making an impact by now.
JIM, Birmingham (Good Ideas abound in Neverland)
Mike Smith of ATL will win Coach of the Year, unless Miami wins the division. That's a fact!!! Miami just had terrible talent and coaching, ATL had felons, a coach quit during the season, and even race issues in their locker room. ATL had more wins last year, but that team was in much more disarray than Miami was. Mike Smith wins it easily.
Tim Graham (4:35 PM)
Mike Smith has done a sensational job. I can't disagree.
Nick (Bills, NY) :
BILLS should get deangelo hall?????
Tim Graham (4:35 PM)
A little late for that. He's a Redskin.
Lucas (NY)
Tim, how good are the Jets? I mean they barely beat the Cheifs and loose to the Raiders. Then they go play a really solid games and beat the Bills..What up with that?
Tim Graham (4:36 PM)
That's how the AFC East is going this year. I have no idea how good any of these teams really are. It's so muddled.
Carl Champion (Greensboro, NC)
Tim how do explain my Dolphins loosing to the teams they should beat and winning against the teams they should lose too?? How can I sustain high hopes especially with an easy schedule???
Tim Graham (4:37 PM)
Check the answer I gave to Lucas' question.
Tim Graham (4:38 PM)
To all the people sending in fantasy football questions, please save your time. First off, it's like throwing darts blindfolded. And nobody else cares about your fantasy team.
Mighty Taco
Do you miss me??
Tim Graham (4:39 PM)
At least once a week.

Tim Anquan Boldins agent is the infamous Drew Rosenhaus and most of his clients are ex-canes and he has a home in Miami. Anyway maybe Boldin gets traded to the Phins. I remember a couple weeks ago that he was campaigning for a trqade to the Phins. Any thoughts?
Tim Graham (4:39 PM)
None of that matters one bit to where Boldin will land.

Dolphins win the division, who gets the ESPY for comeback team of the year, Rays or Dolphins???
Tim Graham (4:40 PM)
I think the Rays have it locked up. What they did was historic.
Matty Y, Rochester NY
Hey Tim- Buffalo's all fine 'n dandy if you wanna hit the bars until 4am, but isn't it safe to say that Rochester is really the place to be in WNY??
Tim Graham (4:41 PM)
I hit the bars until 4 a.m. So, to answer your question, no.
Rick-Lowell, MA
If I told you at the start of the season the Pats would lose their starting QB, starting RB and defensive leader, yet would still be in a position to win the east, would you have called me a liar?
Tim Graham (4:41 PM)
Yes, I would have. And they've essentially lost their top three running backs.
Jeremy (Miami)
Where do you rank Jake Long's in ROTY standings? If you break down Ronnie's running stats he has an unbelievable YPR when he runs to the left side behind long, the numbers compared to when he runs to the middle or right are astounding. He has made few mistakes and in his first 8 games has allowed very few sacks. I know he doesn't have a shot to win ROTY, but I hope he is at least top 5 if not top 3 in some peoples minds. Maybe I'm just a homer. NOVA HIGH SCHOOL CLASS 06! (You love Davie Tim)
Tim Graham (4:43 PM)
He's down the list because of guys like Matt Ryan, Chris Johnson, Eddie Royal, DeSean Jackson, Matt Forte, Kevin Smith ...
Bill (Pomona California)
Hey Tim, if I had told you that L Maroney would last the whole season without getting injured, would you have called me a liar?
Tim Graham (4:44 PM)
Yes, I would have.
Carl Champion (Greensboro, NC)
Someone argued with me the other day that they would rather have Bret Farve then Chad Pennington right now, my response was less than nice, your opinion??
Tim Graham (4:45 PM)
I think Chad Pennington is having a much more effective season than Favre and is making a much more significant impact to his team. I think if the Jets had kept Pennington they still would be about 5-3.
fantasy footballer (america)
should I play fantasy football or try to get a date with a human girl?
Tim Graham (4:45 PM)
The latter, but it's a good thing you specified it was a human.

Please answer the following: Best movie out in the last year: Best show currently on tv: Best RB in the AFC East: Best QB in the AFC East:
Tim Graham (4:46 PM)
No Country for Old Men, The Office, Ronnie Brown, Chad Pennington.
Bob (Bean Town)
Tim - You never answered my question. Will the league or Goodell ever announce anything to bring the Kaczur Illegal Prescription Drugs issue to closure? You danced around it by saying it was reduced to traffic ticket (for cooperating with the DEA).
Tim Graham (4:47 PM)
If the NFL was going to punish Kaczur, it would have done so long ago.
Nathan (Green Bay)
Tim I've been offered Joseph Addai and my choice of TJ Housh or Santana Moss for Steven Jackson and Plaxico Burress, should I make the trade?
Tim Graham (4:48 PM)
Send back a counteroffer that includes your kicker.
Jimbo (NJ)
What do you think about Thomas Jones this year Tim? He is 2nd in the AFC in rushing and is averaging 4.5 YPC.
Tim Graham (4:50 PM)
He's having a great year. I considered him as my midseason offensive player of the year. In fact, he was the only other player I considered.
Bobby (Pitt)
I'm in a Fant. blogger league..I got offered a trade to get Karabell for Berry.. Your thoughts?
Tim Graham (4:50 PM)
You give up any two players on your roster for Karabell. No question.
Bobby (Pitt)
By the way I have you on there as well
Tim Graham (4:51 PM)
I hope you had me on your bench last week -- or every week, for that matter.
Carl Champion (Greensboro, NC)
Tim thanks for answering all my questions man you are all knowing, that said, how close do you think Joey Porter is to being the Defensive MVP?? And if Porter had been here all the while, does Jason Taylor go down as being such a great player for the Fins??
Tim Graham (4:52 PM)
Porter is the NFL frontrunner right now. Kris Jenkins will be in the mix, too.
Jeremy (Tallahassee 850)
Since you're at clubs till 4am, how many times have you seen Joey Porter dancing with his shirt off?
Tim Graham (4:52 PM)
Porter doesn't hang around the rat holes I do.
Juan (Miami, FL)
Tim as a Phins fan should I be celebrating the possibility of a playoff birth or maybe root for a higher draft pick?
Tim Graham (4:53 PM)
Playoffs. Changing the culture is more important than a high draft pick. Making the postseason would be monumental to the foundation. If the Dolphins were a middling team year after year, maybe you'd root for the pick.
JIM, Birmingham
" Tim Graham: (4:51 PM ET ) I hope you had me on your bench last week -- or every week, for that matter" YOU ARE CRAZY!!! I traded Forde, Adande, and Gammons just to get you, so you'd better not disappoint!
Tim Graham (4:54 PM)
I wish I didn't know that. I fall apart under pressure.
Dick Jauron (Bflo - NY)
Did we screw up the 2008 draft or what?
Tim Graham (4:54 PM)
It has been lousy so far. But I think McKelvin will be a quality starter eventually.
Dr Nick, Boston
Hey Tim- Which is the bigger culinary error? Ranch sauce on wings, or pineapple on pizza?
Tim Graham (4:55 PM)
Ranch sauce on wings.
DRINKtheGINN19
TIM! Where are all the brett favre appologists that swarmed your great article about how pennington was having a better year than king favre??
Tim Graham (4:57 PM)
The Jets could have won with Pennington. That's the only point I've been trying to make.
John (tampa bay)
Tim, which AFC east team has the roughest remaining schedule?
Tim Graham (4:57 PM)
The Patriots, according to win percentages. They also have two West Coast games left.
Bobby (Pitt)
Where should I send my resume to be your assistant?
Tim Graham (4:58 PM)
You don't want that, Bobby.
Mel Kiper Jr. (ESPN)
Tim, I read all of your chats and I can't believe what I'm reading. You have tons of upside and have flashed great downhill ability in today's chat. Because of that, I have you as a solid 1st round pick in my ESPN Chat Host mock draft. Check ESPN.com on Monday when I unveil my entire first round!
Tim Graham (4:59 PM)
That gives me a little confidence for this weekend.
Fan behind the pole
Why are their obstructed view seats in all of these new stadiums? Are the designers idiots? (i.e. Indy/Wash)
Tim Graham (5:00 PM)
I saw a photo of the obstructed view seats in Indy. I couldn't believe it.
Jeremy (FINS BABY)
Be honest, you walk out of the NSU Training Camp and you see all the players cars parked there, who has the nicest?
Tim Graham (5:01 PM)
We park in a different lot, so I don't get to see them. But I did find myself behind Jason Taylor on the interstate once last year. He had a white Boxster that was sweet.
Tim Graham (5:02 PM)
We're closing in on two hours. Let's keep going ...
Carl Champion (Greensboro, NC)
Tim you keep saying that the Jets could have won with Pennington but if memory serves me correctly they were going to start Kellen Clemens anyways?? Does my memory decieve me again??
Tim Graham (5:03 PM)
Your memory doesn't deceive you, per se. The Jets clearly wanted Clemens to win the job, but Pennington was outplaying him early in camp.
Bobby (Pitt)
Whats the Longest chat you've ever had? What's the ESPN record?
Tim Graham (5:04 PM)
Not sure what the ESPN record is, but we almost went three hours once.
Blue Collar, Buffalo
Tim great chat... this makes my Friday. Will the Bills go 3-0 after the Pats game (CLE, KC, SF)?
Tim Graham (5:04 PM)
The Browns are tricky. The Chiefs and 49ers should be wins.
JIM, Birmingham
" Tim Graham: (5:02 PM ET ) We're closing in on two hours. Let's keep going ..." THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT TIM!!! TIMMY!!!! You don't do this "30 minutes is up, gotta go" stuff. You rock!!! Is Camarillo really that good? Or just having a solid year?
Tim Graham (5:05 PM)
Camarillo is incredibly reliable and the Dolphins are using him well. It's a good marriage.
JJ
So Wayne will sign Ernest Wilford to an absurd contract as he sits on the inactive list, but Obama becomes President and he wants to firesell the team due to some tax raises?
Tim Graham (5:06 PM)
That's a pretty funny take. I have nothing to add, really. Just wanted to post it.
Greg Camarillo, Miami
Am I the next Wes Welker? I can even try kicking field goals like he did!
Tim Graham (5:07 PM)
The Wes Welker comparisons are understandable, but Welker has tremendous speed. Camarillo doesn't.
the source magazine
tim, who is your favorite rapper?
Tim Graham (5:07 PM)
I would only embarrass myself by trying to answer that question.
Jeremy
Can you honestly name one difference between Camarillo and Fins-Welker? I have tried to and I honestly can't
Tim Graham (5:08 PM)
Go back a couple questions.
Huey
What's your vote for best AFC East game so far this year?
Tim Graham (5:09 PM)
The opener between the Dolphins and Jets was a good one that went down to the wire. The Jets and Bills had some big plays last week, too.
Jay Fiedler, Hanover, NH
After last year's debacle, do you think Miami fans appreciate the "Fiedler era" just a little bit now?
Tim Graham (5:10 PM)
I would hope so. You were doomed by following too closely after Marino.
Carl Champion (Greensboro, NC)
Why is it that people hate Will Allen so much?? Especially after last week?? I dont see him getting beat deep too often or making more mistakes than would be normal for a CB, I think he's very talented and a welcome member of my starting D
Tim Graham (5:10 PM)
Will Allen is having a great year. On the field.
Camarillo (Davie)
What are you talking about. Didnt you see me burn the Ravens D last year?
Tim Graham (5:11 PM)
Getting behind a defensive back isn't quite the same as burning him.
Ed Hochuli (Chat Ref)
Sorry Tim, but that's a personal foul, unsportsmanlike conduct, against you for posting something related to Jay Fiedler. He was awful and everyone knows it.
Tim Graham (5:12 PM)
What's the penalty for that? Can I challenge?
Bill (Pomona California)
Tim, when will the Jets get Clowney on the field? Yeah he would be the sixth receiver, but stretching the field even more should help the running game - shouldn't it?
Tim Graham (5:13 PM)
That would be a waste of a roster spot for the game. He needs to be able to play special teams, too.
Bobby (Pitt)
Mike Vick coming back as a raider? your thoughts..
Tim Graham (5:13 PM)
That would be appropriate.
DRINKtheGINN19
Tim Graham: (5:10 PM ET ) Will Allen is having a great year. On the field. WHOA I READ BETWEEN LINES... what did he do OFF the field tim??
Tim Graham (5:15 PM)
A alleged gun incident over gambling money and getting sued by his former agent for not paying him.
Tim Bowens, Mississippi
Who would win in a fight? Me or Matt Roth?
Tim Graham (5:15 PM)
My money is you.
Carl Champion (Greensboro, NC)
You know I'm loving Pennington as much as anyone and don't get me wrong but I'm wondering how Chad Henne's progressing??? He's the future of my team and I've only seen him once on the feild against those Commies in NE, how is he??
Tim Graham (5:16 PM)
He's doing well from what I've been told. He's progressing as you would expect, according to those who know.
Steiny (NYC)
Do you think Wallace Wright is going to the Pro Bowl as a special teams player?
Tim Graham (5:17 PM)
Probably not.
Tim Graham (5:18 PM)
I'm going to have to wrap it up here. A few more questions and then I have to get back to the real world, as much as I don't want to.
matt (miami, fl)
Yeremiah Bell under/overrated?
Tim Graham (5:18 PM)
Underrated. He's playing very well.
Anthony (NYC)
Tim after watching last nights game, it was funny to watch both defenses go to the play....yet to get there an not make a play, but rather to get a better look at the play...Your thoughts?
Tim Graham (5:19 PM)
Both defenses were pathetic.
Bill Parcell (Davie)
Do you think I should go to Buffalo after my tenure here in Miami is over and do the quadruple of the AFC EAST?
Tim Graham (5:20 PM)
Don't forget the main reason you're with the Dolphins is you live one county away. Unless you have a home in Spaulding Lake I don't know about ...
Tim Graham (5:20 PM)
Don't forget the main reason you're with the Dolphins is you live one county away. Unless you have a home in Spaulding Lake I don't know about ...
Doc (TN)
Did I just see Porter and Jenkins as your Defensive MVPs? What about Haynesworth? Have you ever watched a football game?
Tim Graham (5:21 PM)
I was just making an AFC East reference with that comment. Haynesworth is a stud.
Stephen Hawking
Who's the most intelligent player in the AFC East?
Tim Graham (5:22 PM)
Good question. Gibran Hamdan always impresses me.
John (Tampa bay)
Tims, which final game of the regular season are you looking forward too more, Fins-Jets or Bills-Pats?
Tim Graham (5:23 PM)
Fins-Jets has the Favre-Pennington and Parcells story lines. If playoffs are on the line, this is the one I'll attend.
Doc (TN)
Ok...then I take back the last part of my comment.
Tim Graham (5:24 PM)
No, you were astute. I've never watched a football game.
Tina
Which QB is the most beloved? Marino in Miami, Kelly in Buffalo, Brady in New England, or Browning Nagle in NY?
Tim Graham (5:25 PM)
I think we all know the answer to that one, Tina.
Carl Champion (Greensboro, NC)
Time will you please inform Doc in Tenn that Haynesworth may be having a great year but its not quite the year the Joey Porter is having??
Tim Graham (5:26 PM)
Carl, I think you're going to get chat MVP honors today. You've been all over the field.
Tom
You know Pennington was a Rhoades Scholar right?
Tim Graham (5:26 PM)
I do.
DRINKtheGINN19
Congrats on your daughter...now go see your wife and kid and let me borrow your job!
Tim Graham (5:27 PM)
OH, that's right! Thanks for the time everybody. You always make the time fly. See you next Friday.
