Cpt Anarchy (4:01 PM)
Hey everyone, I'd like to give a shout out to all my boys in Arizona and my friends in California--West Coast Halo Players.
Doc Whitehouse, Oh
how are you guys preparing. Like who have you guys LAN with so far. how do you feel you will do?
Cpt Anarchy (4:02 PM)
In preperation for Las Vegas, we've taken it a lot more seriously. We've scrimmed against Str8 Rippin. We learned a lot playing against them, as they are usually considered the No. 1 team. We've also put in a lot of hours on our own.
Bob Philadelphia, PA
What do you think you guys will have to do to return to the top at Vegas?
Cpt Anarchy (4:03 PM)
In order for Carbon to bounce back, we'll have to feed off our momentum and swing early. We can't just react--we have to be the aggressor and set the pace. If we do that, we will speed up our momentum. I know that at least two of my teammates have what it takes to get to a championship, so hopefully we can exceed everyone's expectations.
Ryan ( CT)
How do you guys feel about going against Triggers Down? They're an amazing team. Are you guy's scared?
Cpt Anarchy (4:04 PM)
They're a good team, but they're all good teams--we won't go looking at it any differently. We just have to execute better than they can. I wouldn't say scared. I'm never scared in any matches, and I don't think my teammates are either.
Will (Raleigh, NC):
Cpt. Anarchy: How has the addition of Naded changed your team's playstyle?
Cpt Anarchy (4:06 PM)
With Naded, we're more aggressive, on the fly, and sneakier. Naded is a guy like Snipedown or Neighbor who can just go off--we can focus on one area of the map and control one area of the map while helping out on others. With Karma, we didn't have that teamwork as much--it's what you need in Halo 3.
Tipton ,Missouri
Anarchy you looked lost in Dallas, what gives?
Cpt Anarchy (4:08 PM)
I guess a lot of people are judging me based on the stride championship series game, where I had two kills and something like ten deaths. I did have around fifteen assists. I got into the game slowly, got spawn-trapped, and put myself in a lot of tough situations. I don't know if I wasn't trying hard enough or wasn't into the event enough. I might have been trying too hard to be the leader. I was more into winning than actually playing the game, which was a bit tough.
Warrior(independence,MO)
Halo 3 has been out a year now. whats the biggest change in the game that you have seen over a year? Good luck in vegas u know i'll be there cheering you guys on!!
Cpt Anarchy (4:09 PM)
Thanks for the support. It's appreciated coming from a Carbon fan. What we've done differently from 2 to 3--people are still used to Halo 2's movement and physics, which a lot of people don't realize. Mostly, I've been changing my habits, which is a huge key. I've had a lot of good criticism from Ghostayame, because it's a completely different game.
Ryan Falls Church, VA
Do you think you guys are guys are underated? do you see the top pros on triggers down and str8 rippin as people that are better than you, or people that your just as good as but you dont get as much fame?
Cpt Anarchy (4:10 PM)
I would say yes and no. We know we're capable of pushing to the Top 3, but we haven't yet proven that. We've all been there before, we've had huge leaps and huge falls. Ghostayame is definitely the most underrated player on our team. He should be in the Top 10.
Conner Robbins Long beach Califonia
How did you start in pro gaming and who got you into it.
Cpt Anarchy (4:11 PM)
Maybe when I was five years old, I got a Sega, and I played on and off until seventh grade, when I picked up Halo 1. I was pretty good, googled tournaments, and I got hooked. I've been doing it since the end of 2004.
John, Penn State
Hey Anarchy, big fan. Recently, you've been known in the community as a "scooper." Do you think thats the best play style for you? What advice would you give to someone who wants to scoop up like you do?
Cpt Anarchy (4:13 PM)
It's an inside joke between myself and Ghost. We like to doubleteam people--one of us will flank and punch instead of shoot. I think you should have fun when you play and not overstress. It's just a game.
Nick Hattabaugh
Anarachy, you go to school with my sister, and I was wondering if its hard to be a pro gamer and manage to get good grades at UA at the same time?
Cpt Anarchy (4:15 PM)
I decided to take a leave of absence from UA to concentrate on gaming. If you want to go to college, you have to set your mind on the work--you can't screw around with video games, which is one reason why it's so tough for gamers to go pro. If you can do both, more power to you. I plan on going back, at the very least, after I finish my contract.
Cpt Anarchy (4:15 PM)
Thanks to all the Carbon fans. Hope we don't disappoint anybody at Vegas. It'll either make or break our season. Hope to see you guys all there, have a safe flight. Shoutout to my mom and sister in Arizona!
Buzzmaster (4:46 PM)
Sorry for the delay, everyone, we had a slight technical issue.
Kieryan C
Naded how does it feel to be on Carbon, are you all meshing well together, do you work good as a team?
Naded (4:46 PM)
I think we work really well as a team. We have a lot of work to do before Vegas. It seems sometimes we aren't working together and executing strategies as well as we should. We just have to work out those problems, and we're ready to go.
Brian, Richmond VA
Who are you guys looking out for? Who's most likely to not you out?
Naded (4:48 PM)
I think we can do well against any team. I think we match up against all the teams well if we're on our game and playing well. But if I had to pick one, I'd say Str8. We've LANed against them, and it'll be tough if we're matched up.
Steve: Old Bridge, New Jersey
Naded, what role do you think you will play for Carbon in Vegas and what are you doing to practice for the upcoming tournament.
Naded (4:49 PM)
We don't really have roles on our team. We do what needs to be done in whatever situation. We've always been doing that. Even in Halo 2, that was what happened--you do what needs to be done. It works out really well. We've practiced a lot for Vegas, now we're just finishing up and getting our strategies down.
Will Biloxi Mississippi
Naded, has your gameplay changed since you joined Carbon, or did it stay the same?
Naded (4:50 PM)
I think it's stayed the same, roughly. It has improved a lot and changed for the better, not just because I'm on a new team. I just do what needs to be done in whatever situation.
Kyle (New York, NY)
Naded, with your strong roots in FFA, do you miss Free-For-All in Halo 3?
Naded (4:51 PM)
I miss it a lot. If they brought it back, I think I would do really well. I do it for fun because I miss it so much.
Laval,Canada
Hey since your still new on the team Naded, were you dissapointed with what happened at Dallas and realisticaly do you think you can beat tD first round.
Naded (4:53 PM)
I wasn't that disappointed just because we didn't really prepare at all for that tournament. We had a lot of outside things to deal with before that tournament, so we go pretty much no practice. I expected to get seventh or eighth. I think we can beat Triggers Down if we're playing really well. Any team can beat any other team if one team is playing really good. So long as we don't make dumb mistakes, we'll do real well.
Alonzo Rockfalls Illinois
After losing a BR battle do you try to adapt to the players style to try to beat his BR the next time?
Naded (4:54 PM)
I don't really think about BR battles that much. If I get out-BRed, it's like, whatever, I'll get him next time. I've never really focused on it...I try to focus on teamwork and what needs to be done. I try not to challenge as much.
Naded (4:54 PM)
I wanna give a shoutout to my Dad and my family back in California!
