Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:01 AM)
Good morning everyone! Let's get right to your questions...
John (State College, PA)
Uggg...i know most don't care about fantasy defenses, but who do you start this week? The Jags vs Minny or the Jets vs Tenn?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:02 AM)
Ugh is right, but I'd go the Jags, and here's why: Minnesota actually has been the most generous team in terms of helping the opposing fantasy defense. Seriously, it surprised me too. And it's a home game for them, so that helps, if you must make the desperation case.
Chris (Boston)
Thoughts on Ryan Grant and Kurt Warner for the rest of the year?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:04 AM)
Good players, guys I'd ride, and let's say Grant is a high-end No. 2 running back, Warner a must-start elite quarterback. A tad bit of health risk with Warner, as always, but nothing I'd panic over. By the way, on Grant's schedule, the only matchup I see as a bad one is the Carolina game. Otherwise, it's a pretty good one.
Chip (NC)
What up, TC? I play in a league where getting 100 yds. rush/rec is very important due to bonus points. With that in mind, do you start Fargas v. Denver over any of these 3...Dunn, Slaton, J Lewis?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:05 AM)
Nah. You're right that on paper it's a favorable matchup. But a team needs to mount any sort of offensive attack to keep the running back respectable, and more important, in the game. Look at Fargas' recent performances. Exactly.
ellen - ontario, ca
great podcast today with EK... pls rank these RB...mcgahee, mewelde, lendale, dunn and westbrook. pls rank these WR...fitz, lance moore, welker and muhammad. thanks.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:07 AM)
Thanks Ellen! We had fun with that, hope everyone enjoys it. I'm not sure if you're asking this week or overall, but let's just say taking both into account 50/50, shall we? I'd go Brian Westbrook by far, then Willis McGahee, LenDale White, Warrick Dunn, Mewelde Moore. By the way, Dunn is a strong play for this week, No. 2 of that bunch. At receiver, let's go Larry Fitzgerald by far, then Wes Welker, then Lance Moore, then Muhsin Muhammad.
Chet (LA)
THC, any news on REGGIE BUSH? Will he play this weekend? If you had to set your lineup before tomorrow nights Pit vs Cin game, would you start Ocho Cinco or Reggie Bush? Thanks.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:09 AM)
I have heard absolutely nothing about Reggie Bush's Week 12 status thus far, which leads me to believe he'll be questionable yet again. When facing these decisions, I don't take chances. If there is no other alternative, you have to take Chad Johnson, even if I loathe his matchup. But the good news is that we'll surely get a practice report today, after which point we'll know more. If Bush sits -- as he sure might -- I couldn't take this chance. Sigh.
Phil (MA)
River or Orton this week in a must win?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:09 AM)
Philip Rivers. Hey, it's a home game. The Chargers should put up a fight, no doubt. Like the creativity, but don't get cute.
Jake (Dallas)
Tristan, what's the latest on Jacobs? I have a playoff game this week and need to start 2 out of Jacobs, Westbrook, L. White and K. Smith... I know, I'm finished, right?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:11 AM)
Wow, that is an early playoffs! The news on Brandon Jacobs is that he believes he can play, but the team isn't so sure. Shaping up as a game-time decision, and I bet he's used comparably to Week 11, if he's used at all. Must be your No. 2 if he's on the active roster, and LenDale White if not. And no, I wouldn't call you "finished." Anything can happen in this crazy game. Brian Westbrook is a pretty darned good running back, and Jacobs himself made those Ravens look poor!
Alex (MI)
Now that McFadden's healthy and expected to have an increased role this week...DMC or LenDale at flex this week?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:12 AM)
I'm not on the Darren McFadden bandwagon. Period. I'll believe it when I see it.
Matt - Des Moines
What are the prospects for Tatum Bell this week. Hillis on the Minor Injury report and the matchup is good. Is he worth a spot start?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:13 AM)
Similar prospects to last week, though maybe the two split the carries. I'd still prefer Peyton Hillis, whose shoulder injury shouldn't be much of an issue by all accounts. Flex play, though, at best.
Bubba (Eagle Pass Texas)
Is Thigpen a better start than Rivers this week?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:13 AM)
Yup! See, isn't this a crazy game?
Mike (NYC)
hey Tristan, any word on Winslow?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:14 AM)
No word on his MRI results, not that I have heard yet, but I'd be a bit surprised if he doesn't push himself to play. Just my opinion.
TANK IT OR NOT (DALLAS)
I am in first place and I am a lock for the number one seed in the playoffs. There is a team that is very good probably a top 3 team in my league but hasn't performed well week to week. The guy is fighting for a playoff spot and if he gets in it will definatly be hte 8 seed. If I tank the game this week he will have no hope for the playoffs and I will be playing a team in my league that is horrible compared to the kid I don't want in it. TANK IT OR NOT? Thanks for your time!
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:16 AM)
Bad karma. And yes, I believe in that. Besides the fact that your league mates probably won't forget such a thing if you do it.
lush (dallas)
having trouble figuring out who to sit out of forte, LT, an lynch... any suggestions?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:17 AM)
Well, I hate to do it, but I'll sit Marshawn Lynch of those choices, because it's not the easiest thing in the world to play in Kansas City. But that's the only knock I have on that matchup, and it's a small one.
Rob (NJ)
TANK IT OR NOT asked the exact same question 3 times this week...And everyone has told him don't tank it...he should change his name to TAKE A HINT
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:17 AM)
I'm glad we're all in agreement then!
Joe (Mahwah, NJ)
Tynes is back and better than ever! I am now poised to take the championship in my league.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:18 AM)
I can't believe you were right, Joe. That roster decision stunned me. But I'm still not sold you're winning with Mr. Tynes, Tynes Fan Club President, since the Giants likely alternate him and John Carney the rest of the way.
Aaron (Ann Arbor, MI)
Good morning TC. Thanks for filling in for TMR & Nate on the fantasy focus podcast today. I need some trade help. Should I trade away Randy Moss and either Ryan Grant or Thomas Jones for Adrian Peterson?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:19 AM)
Thanks Aaron! Our pleasure. And I'd do Moss and Jones for ADP. But I keep saying Thomas Jones is a sell-high, because I worry a bit about what happens when the fantasy playoffs arrive. I'd feel a heck of a lot safer with ADP.
PJ Athens, OH
Tristan: Early playoff here as well! Rank the following if Jacobs is a *NO* Go - MJD (scared of Min), D Ward, Brandon Marshall (the Asomugha affect) 1/2 PPR and need a win! Thanks!
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:21 AM)
Good point on Asomugha, who I've been touting as a man-on-man matchup to avoid for more than a year now. Still, can't be certain he's on Marshall all day. It detracts from his matchup for sure, though. Marshall remains the No. 1 for me -- Eddie Royal draws some defensive attention too -- and then it's Maurice Jones-Drew, who at least is a goal-line option, and then Derrick Ward, whose stock bumps up a bit if Jacobs does sit.
Ace (Boston)
By espn projections I should be starting Dunn, T Jones, and Hillis over Westbrook, Grant, and Addai?? Which three do you start??
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:22 AM)
Well, Brian Westbrook is starting for me, period. And I'd play Ryan Grant, too. And then I'd play Warrick Dunn. Remember, and I do say this a lot in the chat, our projections are based on past history, matchup and probability of outcome. It shouldn't be the be-all and end-all of your decisions.
Dan (DC)
Am I crazy to start Hills over Westbrook and Gage over Colston? Both of those guys ahve burned me, and I'm on the cusp of making the playoffs. Thanks.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:22 AM)
Yes. I will keep saying this all day. Much as I like those guys as sleepers.
Dan (New York)
Philly or Carolina D this week? Also, should i drop Felix Jones to pick up Tyler Thigpen to play over McNabb?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:24 AM)
Philadelphia. I don't think that Carolina matchup is nearly as favorable as everyone else seems to. And yes, I'd make that pickup, and lineup switch. For this week at least.
PORTIS TRADE (Seriousville, USA)
I traded Portis and Welker for LT and Ted Ginn. Did I just shoot myself in the foot???
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:24 AM)
Nope. Love that Tomlinson remaining schedule. Read my Gridiron Challenge preview later this week, you'll see why.
P (FL)
Considering the aforementioned Asomugha Effect would you play Bryant over Royal this week? Already starting Marshall.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:25 AM)
What a headache that one is, to have to choose from the two Broncos receivers! Marshall for me, still too productive to sit. And I would spread it around, if only because I love the Bryant matchup. For one thing, with the Bucs so nicked up at running back, I see them passing more this week than usual.
Matt
Ethics question. So I had a trade vetoed, trading away FWP for Plax. Seemed legit to me, helped both teams out. It got vetoed by the bottom three, non playoff teams. Is it unethical after the deadline has passed to drop these players to each other in a midnight deal ( no waivers )??? Also is it normally set up where players who aren't in a playoff spot have no veto power? Thanks.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:28 AM)
Yeah, probably unethical, but that's why waivers exist, to prevent this stuff. Hey, technically it's within the rules. What can I say. I don't like it, but I think that was a silly trade to veto. As for all this talk about non-playoff teams, don't get me started. Seriously. I think anyone who makes the argument that a team that's near the bottom of the standings should have his or her hands tied is completely absurd. Pride still matters, and in no way do I think you should effectively shut down a team because it's in a bad spot. Now, it's on those owners to remain respectable to the competitive balance of the league, but I'll tell you, if I were 3-8 right now, I'd be really annoyed and wouldn't want to return to the league if the commish told me I couldn't deal anymore, or participate like normal in any way.
Scott (Union, NJ)
Which QB do I start: Thigpen vs Buffalo or Campbell @ Seattle?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:29 AM)
I do like the Jason Campbell matchup as a low-level sleeper play, but I do play in a two-quarterback league, which is why I care about such things. Folks in one-quarterback leagues really only need to care about Thigpen.
Andrew (Philly)
Morning Tristan! I know you already answered a question about Bush, but what if you have Deuce? Do you think it's worth it to wait? Or would you play Sammy Morris, Lendale White, or a player of that quality?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:30 AM)
No, I'd wait, if only because I see Deuce McAllister still taking on the bulk of the rushing chores no matter Reggie Bush's status -- he's more of a pass catcher than a runner anyway -- and the matchup is better than for your alternatives.
Dave(NYC)
More ethics...As commish I refused to veto this trade: last place team trades S.Smith (Car.) FWP, and Keller to a playoff team for D.Mason, J. Lewis and Shockey. On paper their points to date are pretty even. What would you do?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:32 AM)
I remind everyone that I am very liberal with trades allowed. People need to be allowed to manage their teams their way, and the only time a veto matters to me is when there's funny business going on. Like two brothers in a league, one is 10-1, the other is 1-10, and they make an obviously lopsided trade. You just made the case for this one: "On paper their points to date are pretty even." That's good enough to approve.
Rob (NJ)
That trade is horrible...the points are even because Smith missed some games due to suspension and FWP was out for a long period.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:33 AM)
Agreed, I would love the Steve Smith side. But again, people need to be able to manage their teams. Period. That's my opinion, and I'm no dictator when it comes to trades.
Jem (Westchester)
What are the chances that Dallas continues to get comofortable and blows out SF, thus limiting Gore's opportunities and as a result, his effectiveness? If I were them, I'd stack the line and play my LB's up, forcing Hill to beat them, which I'm not confident he can despite improving rookine receivers.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:34 AM)
The thing I like about Frank Gore is he can catch passes. So I can't fret too much. Besides, why are we assuming Dallas is that great these days? Good team, not great team.
Pete (South Bend, IN)
I'm with you - let the managers manage, and make trades on their own, unless it is blatant. Meanwhile, I need your help to clinch a playoff spot. I need 2 from M. Colston, J. Witten, J. Gage and D. Henderson. Thanks!!
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:36 AM)
Marques Colston has to start. The one that stands out to me. And you know, I have to roll the dice on Justin Gage. The Jets can stop the run, and the Titans' passing game is actually in a mini-hot streak. I'd take that chance.
Mike (Indy)
4 Days 8 Hours 24 minutes until 24 Redemption!! How psyched are you? Orten or Quinn for the rest of the season? Thanks!
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:37 AM)
I'd have a hard time putting my level of psyched-itude into words, I can tell you that. Haven't read a single spoiler, either, so please don't spoil me, you'll get on my bad side. All I can say is, it better be good. I've waited too long now. As for the quarterbacks, I'll go Kyle Orton. Just a little stronger track record, and as memory serves, I wasn't wild about Cleveland's schedule, at least when it comes to making consistent performances.
LLoyd (Aspen)
Hey Tristan..."put another scrimp on the barbie"...I have a tough spot this week. MJD vs. Minny OR CJ vs. JETS...Also JAX D, CAR D, OR WASH D this week?...thanks.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:39 AM)
Where's Mr. Samsonite this fine morning? I'd go Maurice Jones-Drew barely, and it's the touchdown prospect. That's all it is. He has a shot at one, and I think Chris Johnson doesn't so much. As for the defenses, it's Carolina. I'm not crazy, best talent, I can't sit it for creative matchups.
Muller (Jax, FL)
I have to drop a QB, which one would you drop? Romo, Orten, Thigpen or Campbell?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:40 AM)
OK, so that's obviously going to boil down to Jason Campbell and Kyle Orton, and I did just look at Chicago's remaining schedule to be certain -- heads up to the earlier question asker on him -- and I like his. More matchups I think can be exploited. Campbell goes. Too many poor ones, and the good ones, well, he lacks the big-time upside I'd want to slot him in and out of the lineup.
I have been asking a question for 40 minutes now (Please Help)
Pick 1 QB and 3 RB's for this week: QB- Garcia (@DET), Thigpen (BUF), or Pennington (NE)? RB- Portis, LJ, Lendale, and A. Pittman?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:42 AM)
A lot of people ask, and it's a limited time window, just be understanding. I'd go Tyler Thigpen. Like the Jeff Garcia creativity, but, no. Can't sit the hot streak. At running back, check Clinton Portis' status, he starts if he's healthy and active, and he probably will be. Plus Larry Johnson for sure, and LenDale White because I don't like Pittman's matchup.
DGA
I agree on your laissez-faire style of league management. For instance last preseason everyone got up in arms about why I didn't veto a Chad Johnson for Calvin Johnson and Santonio Holmes deal. Back when Ocho Cinco was a top 5 guy and Megatron and Santonio were unknowns. Well, needless to say, the trade worked out pretty good for the guy receiving Megatron and Santonio. Truth is, you never know what's going to happen next, so if I'd vetoed that deal, I would've been doing a disservice to the guy that everyone was calling an idiot. I only veto if I think cheating is involved.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:42 AM)
I just hope that was last season, i.e. 2007.
B2 (LA)
I need a win to stay in the hunt. Boss or Keller this week?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:43 AM)
Let's say Dustin Keller, and the reasoning is that Tennessee isn't as strong defending the tight end as you'd think, and I think he's the one more firmly entrenched in his team's passing game. Not that I'm entirely enamored with either.
Adam (MI)
ANOTHER Thigpen question... Aaron Rodgers has NO this week so he starts over thigpen right?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:44 AM)
Tyler Thigpen is owned in only about 50 percent of ESPN leagues. I'm shocked by that. Just a random fact. And yes, he does. Rodgers there.
Errict Rhett
Would you start Gage over Berrian or Coles?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:44 AM)
Where have you been Errict? Yes, I would, over Laveranues Coles.
Chris Johnson (TENN)
NY Jets D scares me...but for some reason, being home and all is inspiring me to bring it. Should I rest this week and let Gore and Lynch take over for the Misdirected Matador team this week? (team name of a really good guy) ha.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:45 AM)
That's one good place in which to sit Chris Johnson, if you have two other elite running backs on your roster. Not wild about the matchup, Johnson is a No. 2 for this week.
Dan (NYC)
Previously, on 24....D. Ward or Hillis? Thigpen or Cutler?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:47 AM)
Dan, I don't need to see "previously on" this Sunday ... Season 6 disappointed me enough. But I can hear the clock ticking already! Peyton Hillis, higher-upside flex play. And ... Jay Cutler! If Thigpen's matchup were stronger I'd have picked him. But it's not.
Jack(CTU)
I don't want to spoil the 24 Movie for you but I do say "DAMN" at least 24 times...Drink!!! Tristan...pick one at #3WR this week...Holmes Coles, Avery, Bradley or DeJax? thanks.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:49 AM)
After two hours, boy, that might get ugly. And the Colbert Christmas is right after that. I'll be up late, especially having to TiVo something between those and football! I'll go Santonio Holmes, I do feel strongest about his matchup of those choices.
Mike (NJ)
Sage and Slaton score 42 points this week vs Cle while KC scores 10 pts vs Buf and you keep building up Thigpen (whom I own but am playing Sage !!)
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:49 AM)
We'll see, Mike. No way Sage is outscoring Thigpen.
Phil Buccanan( TOP SECRET LOCATION)
*Yawn*, good morning, I have a grease fire with Duece, Hightower, Caddi, F Taylor. I have SJAX as my starter but if he is out I chose from one of the above, or I can drop one and get Hilligis or Mewelde, I'm in the playoffs, do I just sit tight? Thanks **goes to get coffee**
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:50 AM)
It's Bill Buchanan, but I'll forgive you, if you're on the west coast (have to assume so with the coffee comment). I think you'll likely be OK with Deuce McAllister.
Rob (NJ)
QB question that's not about Tyler Thigpen (Sorry everyone!) Brees or Rodgers this week?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:51 AM)
I appreciate it, Rob. Everyone asks about Thigpen, can we talk any more about him on our site? Seriously, he's in like every question today. Drew Brees for me. He's just never sitting.
Rob Wilmington, Nc
Cadillac Williams a good play against DET?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:52 AM)
I'm not entirely convinced he's going to play, though I'd say 90 percent he'll be on the active roster. And then the clear No. 2 or 3, meaning he gets like five carries. I'd have to hear a glowing report that he'd start to capitalize on that matchup. But I admit straight out that I'm not a Caddy fan. I'm only endorsing him as a pickup now because of the Earnest Graham injury, at least that presents an opportunity.
Alex Trabeck
Lightning Round: Big Ben vs Cincy or Warner vs NYG?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:53 AM)
Kurt Warner, but I like your thinking on Ben Roethlisberger, for other people who have him as their No. 1.
Me ( here )
Is Orton a Good Start Vs Rams. He was well on his way to a top 10 spot prior to his ankle soap opera. Yeah, he played poorly vs Green Bay, but They have a Very good Pass DEF. Considering putting Warner on the Bench vs an EXCELLENT NYG DEF. By the way, Stop talking about Warner as an injury Concern. he has not missed a beat all season
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:55 AM)
I'd say he is, but I'm not starting him over Kurt Warner. By the way, I guess I have to be more specific about Warner, the word "small" with "injury concern" didn't explain it enough? Slim, slim chance. But hey, it's a chance. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, let's say, but if it did happen, I wouldn't have a heart attack or anything if only because of his age and that it has happened before. Not trying to create a panic, folks.
Barrak Obama
If you could make a deal for AP, would you give up Westbrook? He's asking for Westy and Fitz for AP and Henderson. I also have Colston, Braylon, and TO. I don't want to give up Fitz. Should I even try to make a deal, or stick with Westy?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:56 AM)
Kind of surprised we can't even get our President-elect's first name spelled correctly? Gotta be said. And yes, I'd give up Westbrook for ADP. But I wouldn't give up Westbrook and Larry Fitzgerald for, effectively, ADP alone. You should be fine with what you've got if that's the asking price.
Kim Bauer (Los Angeles)
Do you think I will be back in the new season?? And if I am who should I start this week Turner or DeAngelo??
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:57 AM)
No, but I'll answer your question anyway, it's Michael Turner for me.
Michael Stipe
What's the frequency, Kenneth? And does Donovan "The Turnover Machine" do anything positive this week?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:58 AM)
I still prefer "Bang and Blame" off that album. Just my preference. Positive? Sure, maybe he's a just-outside-the-top-10 type of fantasy quarterback. Is that a strong choice? No. It's not a dreadful one, either.
Jack (Boston)
Third reciever option Gage or Curtis?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (11:59 AM)
I really like Justin Gage this week, when we're talking No. 3/flex type receivers.
Lost Boy (CA)
Hill or McNaab this week?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:01 PM)
That's a "don't get cute" question. Donovan McNabb.
*WALK OFF HOMER*
Hey Tristan, could you rank these guys for week 12: Turner, Addai, L. Johnson, Dunn? Non PPR
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:01 PM)
Let's say Michael Turner, Larry Johnson, Joseph Addai, Warrick Dunn, and all should be in most lineups this week.
WIll (STL)
If I could get Addai for TO straight up would you pull the trigger? I've already got decent RBs (Westbrook, Lynch, T. Jones and J. Lewis). The rest of my WRs are Roddy, Welker, Bowe, Chambers and Harrison in a league where you start 3 WR.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:03 PM)
Doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense when you show me the rest of your roster. How would you use Joseph Addai exactly?
L
After going 5-0, my team has dropped 5 out of the last 6. I NEED HELP! Please pick 2: Westbrook, FWP, Chris Johnson, Justin Fargas. I do like that DEN matchup.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:03 PM)
I do too, but I don't like Oakland's offense. Brian Westbrook, Willie Parker.
Kim Bauer for President
Forget Sarah Palin!!! We want Kim!! 2012
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:03 PM)
I want the cougar for President.
Xander (Philly)
Besides this week, how do you feel about San Diego's D from here on out?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:04 PM)
Terribly inconsistent and untrustworthy heading into these all-important weeks.
TRISTAN IS THE ONLY PERSON TO NEVER ANSWER ME
MR T!!!!!!!!! WINSLOW OR WITTEN? DUNN OR C. JOHNSON? 1/2 PPR THANKS
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:04 PM)
Well, wouldn't that mean you've already gotten your answer this week? Needs be said...
Paul (KC)
Can you explain/expound on LJ over Addai? Just due to SD's poor pass D?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:05 PM)
Well, it's a road game, too, and I think it could be somewhat high-scoring. My leaning is that I think this will be more a Peyton Manning than a Joseph Addai explosion. Just the gut instinct.
A Cougar
Hi handsome!! I need some manly help...Eddie Royal, TJ or Lance Moore this week?? With Love.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:05 PM)
OK, I got a chuckle from that one. I'm attractive to a cougar, that's flattering. Eddie Royal. I'll take the chance there.
I really do believe you ignore people
Hello, is anybody in there? I'm starting Gore this week but need help choosing between Turner, Chris Johnson or Dunn. Which RB should start with Gore?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:06 PM)
Remember that some answers can be figured out by other previous ones. Should be pretty clear it's Michael Turner here.
A Mountain Lion
Cassel or Campbell this week? Ride the hot streak or play the matchups?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:07 PM)
Apparently a large number of felines have suddenly learned how to type this week. News at 11. I'd stick with the Matt Cassel hot streak here. You know, Miami's defense can be weak in the secondary, I'll say that.
Thanks for staying late
Campbell, Collins, Or Garcia this week?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:08 PM)
No problem, and Jeff Garcia. Though lunch is calling shortly...
Matt (Baltimore)
Tristan, any word on the "Water Pill" suspensions? How long and when they will impact the players named?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:08 PM)
Last I heard we should get a ruling sometime next week. I'd be concerned about losing a guy like Deuce McAllister for the season's final month. Fortunately, that helps Reggie Bush's chances at regular touches down the stretch. Oh, and Minnesota's run defense, it could take a hit, too. Stay tuned...
Macho Man Randy Savage
Would I be crazy to consider starting Warrick Dunn with a super soft matchup over guys like Willie Parker or Thomas Jones?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:09 PM)
I don't know that Dunn is a crazy start over Jones. I probably lean Jones, but I won't call you crazy either. It is a good matchup.
I have been sending a *BUZZER BEATER* for the last 10 minutes ha
At WR3 would you play V. Jackson or Mark Bradley?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:10 PM)
Overtime called, what can I say. I'm going Mark Bradley there. Gut instinct though, I admit. Don't like Jackson's matchup.
What up with Coca-cola WR in Jax?
he ever getting suspended, or is he patent pending all season?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:10 PM)
Heck if I know. That one just baffles me. But Matt Jones has what, a thigh injury, I think were the specifics? Too risky a play, I'd say.
Brad - Idaho
One word answer! Curtis vs. BAL or Gonzalez vs. SD?
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:11 PM)
Kevin Curtis.
Tristan H. Cockcroft (12:12 PM)
OK folks, lunch does call, so I must depart. Thanks for all your questions, and sorry if I didn't get to yours! Take care, and best of luck to you in Week 12...
