Pat, what to you think of Atlanta's chances in Minny, especially with P. Williams out? So-so? Good? Great? Where should they be concerned?
Pat Yasinskas (12:50 PM)
All right, I'm going to start a few minutes early this week. But I'm going to have to end a few minutes early because I've got to catch a flight to New York -- if the weather allows. Anyway, I think the Falcons have a good chance in Minny. The Williams situation should help the running game. But biggest concern obviously is stopping AP and that's never easy.
Grant (Washington, DC)
With Jacobs looking like a go and Kemo in a walking boot, will the Cats be able to stop the G-Men's ground game? I think this is the biggest unknown in this game right now, and the answer will determine who wins.
Pat Yasinskas (12:52 PM)
It's a huge issue. But the good news is Kemo was at least able to practice a bit today. That doesn't mean he'll play, but there's at least a shot.
Razvan (Troy, MI)
Hey Pat, I want to let you know know that I love your NFC South blog. Keep up the good work! About the Bucs, do you think they can straighten things out in time for the playoffs or are the injuries to big to overcome? And is it realistic to wish that the Bucs win out and panthers lose out and Bucs win the division?
Pat Yasinskas (12:53 PM)
The good thing is they've got San Diego and Oakland coming to town and that's like a get-well card. Wild card is good possibility, but I think division is a long shot.
Sean (Tucson, AZ)
How likely are the chances that the Bucs acquire a stud quarterback (Donovan McNabb sticks out) AND a decent wide receiver to go with Antonio Bryant in the offseason (since it appears likely Joey Galloway will retire or play for another team next year)? It seems like the Bucs have the cap space for it if I recall correctly.
Pat Yasinskas (12:54 PM)
Strongly suspect Bucs will make big moves at both of those positions. They've got plenty of cap room. McNabb's the guy I'd keep an eye on.
Chris Albuquerque NM
Congrats to Carolina's Pro Bowlers. All well deserving. I also think that T.Wharton and R.Kalil did a great job and could make a case. The number one "Snub" for Carolin was J.Kasay. He's 24/25. He hasn't even attempted from inside the 20, and the only one he missed was 50+.
Pat Yasinskas (12:55 PM)
No argument with you here on Kasay.
Neal, Harlem
Be honest, abraham should have made it over Allen to the pro bowl, right?
Pat Yasinskas (12:55 PM)
Abraham would get my vote in that scenario. He'll end up in Pro Bowl as "need" player.
Los Angeles, CA
Hi Pat, I remember watching you many moons ago on Sports Wrap explaining many Buccaneer losses. Who was the host? I miss that show. Is Cadillac a better start this week than Dunn? Happy Holidays.
Pat Yasinskas (12:58 PM)
Wow, the Sports Wrap days! I can't even remember if that was the Bay New 9 show or the old show on Channel 28 before it became the ABC affiliate. That was long ago. Regular host on 28 was Tedd Webb. T.J. Rives used to fill in a lot, too. If it was Bay News 9, the original host was the late, great David Logan. A great guy. Rock Riley, also a great guy, worked with Logan and his filled his place admirably.
Chris Albuquerque NM
Do you think that Moose is under-rated? He blocks his tail off, and is a dependable reciever. A bigger part of the offense than people realize. If the Giants double cover Steve Smith. He can make some plays. I suspect Delhomme to toss it his way for a few big plays. The running game speaks for itself.
Pat Yasinskas (12:59 PM)
Tough to say he's underrated when he's been to the Pro Bowl. But he's a very good player and his blocking is outstanding. He's best blocking WR in the game.
James(Carrollton, GA)
Pat, did Ryan hit that infamous rookie wall last week or did it have more to do with him simply playing Tampa's defense?
Pat Yasinskas (12:59 PM)
Think it was just Tampa's D. I expect him to bounce back.
Wes (Albany, ny)
Pat, don't get me wrong, I am by no means a Jake Hater....but could you imagine the Panthers with that running game, offensive line and Steve Smith with Peyton Manning behind center? That is the word I some day want to live in.
Pat Yasinskas (1:00 PM)
Nice dream, but you can't have it all.
Steiny (NYC)
Is Jeremy Shockey still a top TE in the NFL?
Pat Yasinskas (1:00 PM)
No.
sam (sandersville GA)
i don't understand why the falcons o-line isn't getting the credit they deserve. do you think michael turner will be in the pro bowl without great blocking?
Pat Yasinskas (1:01 PM)
O-line has done a great job. Give a lot of credit to Paul Boudreau. He's one of the best o-line coaches in the league.
David Charlotte NC
Hey Pat, do you think it is unfair the Panthers are getting a bad rap as a road team even though two of their three road losses have come against the NFC South who dont lose at home
Pat Yasinskas (1:02 PM)
Don't think you can say they're a bad road team. Yeah, they're 3-3, but that's the third best road record in the NFC.
Tyler (Concord,NC)
Do you think that the Giants will concentrate more on stopping the Panthers running or passing game? Do you think that there is any way they can shut the offense down all together? I've been to the last two games and it seemed like both facets of the offense can't be shut down totally.
Pat Yasinskas (1:03 PM)
I suspect they'll focus on stopping run. The weather may stop both passing games. Sounds like it's going to be ugly in NY on Sunday.
Jay (Chicago, IL)
Is Marques Colston a top WR in the NFL?
Pat Yasinskas (1:04 PM)
Not right now. The injuries ruined his year. But he was before and can get back to that next year.
Steiny (NYC)
Is Mickey Loomis' job in jeopardy?
Pat Yasinskas (1:04 PM)
Don't think so. I think he and Payton are a package deal and they're safe for at least another year.
adam, nc
how does any lineman from dallas make the probowl?? I have watched alot of games and i think panthers or falcons entire lines are probowl worthy
Pat Yasinskas (1:05 PM)
Two words: Ballot stuffing.
Steiny (NYC)
Can you see Pierre Thomas being an elite running back in the NFL three years from now?
Pat Yasinskas (1:06 PM)
Elite? No. Pretty good? Yes.
gary, NV
do you think the falcons will/ should resign boley. i like him but he hasnt stepped up in this system this year
Pat Yasinskas (1:06 PM)
If he's getting benched late in a contract year, thats not a good sign at all.
Matt (NC)
Hey Pat...people are talking about Tebow going second or third round. What are the chances he lands in carolina, or does Carolina want his style of QB?
Pat Yasinskas (1:07 PM)
I don't see that one at all. Fox and Hurney aren't going to draft a QB early. Besides, some scouts don't even think Tebow can be a QB in the NFL. If Carolina does anything at QB, it'll come from within with the guys they already have.
Tom (SC)
Do you think the Saints will bring in an outsider as offensive coordinator or will they just promote a current employee?
Pat Yasinskas (1:08 PM)
From what I hear, they'll promote the QB coach.
Jay (Chicago, IL)
Biggest NFC South pro bowl snub besides Abraham? Vilma? Deangelo Williams?
Pat Yasinskas (1:08 PM)
D. Williams. But John Kasay and Barrett Ruud are close on that.
Apple, Reidsville
Can Gross handle Tuck?
Pat Yasinskas (1:09 PM)
He's handled everyone else this season.
Wes (Albany, ny)
If you believe Shockey is no longer a valid TE, how can you explain using him in an example to me last week when I asked if New Orleans had anyone other than Brees who would start at their position on any other team??? Don't back track on me, Pat. You're better than that!
Pat Yasinskas (1:10 PM)
I think the question used the word "elite". He's sure not that right now with his injuries. But, if he gets healthy, sure he could be back among the best. But he's not even close right now.
Jay (Chicago, IL)
Forgot Jeff Faine on the pro bowl snub list. He might be the best center in the NFC and even NFL.
Pat Yasinskas (1:10 PM)
Yes, I did. Faine is the best center in NFL.
Jim (Hattiesburg, MS)
Great job this year Pat! Go Penn State- beat those Trojans! Think Gruden bolts with the losss of his meal ticket Kiffin?
Pat Yasinskas (1:11 PM)
Yes, go Nittany Lions. No, I don't see Gruden going anywhere.
Joe (Akron)
what you too good to answer my question?....
Pat Yasinskas (1:11 PM)
Send your question again. I only see 10 at a time and they disappear quickly because you guys are bombing me today.
Paul (Albany, OR)
Pat, you mention the Panthers using a quarterback from within their organization as their long term solution. Do you think that with some development that could be Matt Moore? He sure improved here at Oregon State between his first and second years. Do you see that as a possibility for him in Carolina if given the chance? Thanks.
Pat Yasinskas (1:12 PM)
Moore's a possibility and they like him. He could develop into something in a few years. But I think McCown is the guy they like better right now.
Dave (Monroe NC)
How big of a factor is the weather going to be this Sunday night in NY, I dont think either team has faced mother nature like they are going to this week.
Pat Yasinskas (1:13 PM)
It sounds like it's going to be a big factor if the forecast is right. Don't think you'll see much passing at all. I'm flying to NY tonight and worried about even getting in there because they're getting a storm right now and they're supposed to get another Sunday.
Eric (nashville
Any news on Maake being able to play on Sunday?
Pat Yasinskas (1:14 PM)
He practiced on a limited basis today, so there's at least hope.
Joe (Albuquerque, NM)
Is there a possibility that Matt Cassel may have a chance of going to the Bucs next year with the cap space they have?
Pat Yasinskas (1:15 PM)
Sure, it's possible. But, like I've been saying, I think McNabb's the one to keep an eye on.
Jon Stewart (Carolina)
Im fine with getting limited carries right now, but im not going to be satisfied with 30% of the carries for the rest of my career in Carolina. Since I am the smash running back the Fox likes, does he keep me and let go of Deangello? And when will one of us be gone?
Pat Yasinskas (1:16 PM)
Be patient, Jon. Things will work themselves out in a year.
gary, GA
laurent robinson is practising for the first time in ages. he looked good when healthy do you think he will ever get to be a factor in the nfl?
Pat Yasinskas (1:17 PM)
I liked Robinson a lot when I saw him in camp. But I don't think the ATL coaches are very sold on him at all.
Sharell (Raleigh, NC)
Would McNabb want to play for a coach that has a love/hate relationship with his QB's?
Pat Yasinskas (1:17 PM)
Hasn't he already done that with an entire city that has love/hate relationship with its QBs?
Sam (Boone, NC)
Are the rumors about next years Probowl being held the weekend before the Superbowl true? If so what do you think of that? I think its a terrible idea the problem with the probowl is fan voting not when its held.
Pat Yasinskas (1:18 PM)
I know they've at least talked about doing it before the Super Bowl. Not sure where it stands right now. But I agree with you on the voting.
Eric (nashville
Has Fox done a conference call with the Zoo York media?
Pat Yasinskas (1:18 PM)
I'm sure he did it on Wednesday. He's required to. But I'm sure he didn't say much.
Colby (Asheville,NC)
Pat...Ready to make a Super Bowl prediction?
Pat Yasinskas (1:19 PM)
No, I did that in the preseason and I picked the Seahawks and Colts!
Steiny (NYC)
Is Warrick Dunn one of the best running backs in the NFL?
Pat Yasinskas (1:20 PM)
Not anymore. He was for quite awhile. He's a role player now.
Robert (Latrobe, PA)
Pat, many pundits now consider the Panthers the favorite to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl rather than the Giants. Do you agree with that? The Giants have fallen off lately, but even without Burress I still consider them to be a better all around team than Carolina.
Pat Yasinskas (1:21 PM)
Right now, I think Carolina is best in NFC. But Giants looked awesome earlier in the season and they can get back to that if they win Sunday.
Eric (nashville
Can Carolina keep both backs for their careers?
Pat Yasinskas (1:21 PM)
No, not gonna happen.
Steiny (NYC)
Is this the Panthers biggest game of the year?
Pat Yasinskas (1:22 PM)
Without a doubt.
Cliff McCann (Grants Pass OR)
Penn State can't beat the Trojans
Pat Yasinskas (1:22 PM)
Don't get me started because then it would be my turn to be a fan!
Dan (Cincinnati)
Do you see Reggie Bush getting traded? I wouldnt mind the Bengals trading for him.
Pat Yasinskas (1:23 PM)
No, don't see New Orleans letting him go.
Ryan (Napa, CA)
Warrick Dunn's HOF chances are _________. (the guy should make it based on his philanthropy alone).
Pat Yasinskas (1:24 PM)
Honest answer? Not a Hall of Famer. But, yes, one of the best human beings to ever play the game.
Steve ( Orlando FL)
With Gross and Peppers in the probowl and ineligible to be franchised do you think the panthers can keep them both and if not where do they go?
Pat Yasinskas (1:25 PM)
They're not ineligible to be franchised. Tag is on Gross right now. It comes off after the season and they can use it on whoever they want. My guess is they sign one and franchise the other.
Steiny (NYC)
Should Michael Koenen have made the Pro Bowl?
Pat Yasinskas (1:25 PM)
No.
Greg (Monroe, NC)
Pat, what are your thoughts on Corey Webster matching up 1 on 1 with Steve Smith.
Pat Yasinskas (1:26 PM)
U can't cover Smith 1 on 1. There's got to be safety help.
Matt (NC)
Pat, you have been saying that Carolina won't be able to keep both backs for their careers. Tell us which one you think they will keep?
Pat Yasinskas (1:26 PM)
Stewart.
fred (omaha)
ill give you a ride to giants stadium pat, tell me where to pick you up
Pat Yasinskas (1:27 PM)
Newark Airport -- if my flight gets in there.
justin vaughn (joplin mo)
will matt ryan get the mvp?
Pat Yasinskas (1:27 PM)
No, but he'll get Rookie of the Year.
gary, GA
please answer this question i would like your opinion. would karlos dansby be a good addition during the offseason for the falcons? also what about sean jones
Pat Yasinskas (1:28 PM)
Yes on Dansby.
Eric (nashville
Why Stewart?
Pat Yasinskas (1:28 PM)
Fox's kind of back.
Jonny, Queens
Will Pep have success against Diehl and any chance he sees time on the other end against McKenzie backup?
Pat Yasinskas (1:29 PM)
I'm sure they'll move him around in light of the McKenzie situation.
Daniel Tampa
Who are the Bucs pro bowl alternates?
Pat Yasinskas (1:29 PM)
They won't release them. They're very guarded on that. But I believe Faine, Ruud and Bidwell are alternates, but don't know what level.
K-Mac (Greensboro, NC)
Pat...you've covered our beloved Panthers for a long time, is this team better to you than 2003? And I'm driving to New York for the game...Giants fans worse or better than Philly!?!?
Pat Yasinskas (1:30 PM)
You know, this team could be better. Definitely a better o-line and secondary. Everything else kind of close. Depends on how they finish it out.
Matt (NC)
Hey Pat, which OT will be better in their career? Otah or Gross
Pat Yasinskas (1:31 PM)
Hmm, tough one. Glad Gross finally got to Pro Bowl. But Otah's got a lot of upside.
David Monroe NC
Two weeks ago Tampa was the team to beat in the NFC South and the Giants were "unbeatable". This is why I love the NFL
Pat Yasinskas (1:31 PM)
Exactly.
gary, GA
do you think jerious norwoods lack of production is down to his injury or more strategic reasons?
Pat Yasinskas (1:32 PM)
More than anything, I think it's because Turner's played so well.
Brian Lakeland, Fl
Why are you so down on the Saints???
Pat Yasinskas (1:32 PM)
I'm not down on them. But, come on, they're 7-7 and had as much talent as anyone in the division. They've got some work to do in the offseason.
adam,nc
are you doing all ur own reading, thinking, and typing to all these questions and comments???
Pat Yasinskas (1:33 PM)
Yes.
Chet (LA)
No slight to Stephan Davis who was a good RB in his time with the Panthers, but the one-two punch of Stewart and Williams makes the Panthers offense quite a bit better than the 03 Panthers. Do you agree??
Pat Yasinskas (1:34 PM)
Yes and Jake's more experienced. Smith is better than he was in 03 and the o-line is way better.
Jonny, Queens
If you want help reading, thinking and typing let me know
Pat Yasinskas (1:34 PM)
I could use it. We're coming up on 400 questions already. Previous record was 320.
Chet (LA)
Hey Brian in Lakeland, he's down on the Saints because they're the worst team in the division and they lose games they should win.
Pat Yasinskas (1:34 PM)
Right.
gary, GA
i think foxworth has done well this year and with von hutchins coming back how big a need do you think cornerback is in the offseason?
Pat Yasinskas (1:35 PM)
Like Foxworth a lot, but I think you'll see them draft a CB early.
Sam (Boone, NC)
With a win on Sunday does Jake cement comeback player of the year?
Pat Yasinskas (1:35 PM)
Yeah, I'll go with you on that.
Sharell (Raleigh NC)
PY, judging by these questions everyone wants to work for you, but let them know I am first in line.
Pat Yasinskas (1:36 PM)
Absolutely.
Chet (LA)
Pat, Coming out of Utah, Steve Smith was regarded as a good punt returner, but not much else. Does he just have amazing work ethic, or is it something more than that?
Pat Yasinskas (1:37 PM)
Work ethic, attitude, right place and right time with coach, QB, etc. Just shows all the scouting and draft predicting doesn't mean a lot.
Steiny (NYC)
Do you think Jonathan Stewart was drafted too high?
Pat Yasinskas (1:37 PM)
No
Gabriel Miami FL
Do the bucs need a new HB caus eim not really awed by anyone on our roster...
Pat Yasinskas (1:38 PM)
I think Cadillac's got a chance to come back really strong next year. Like what I've seen of him this year.
Mike - NYC
How will the loss of Vincent affect Carolina's O-Line? He has been their one constant all season
Pat Yasinskas (1:38 PM)
Jeremy Bridges is a pretty solid backup.
John
So your saying that if Steve Smith did it Tedd Ginn can too! Please agree!
Pat Yasinskas (1:38 PM)
No, Steve Smith is a rare guy.
Eric (nashville
I dont see the philosophy here. Draft Williams three years ago, let him sit behind Foster (bad move) and now draft Stewart. Now get rid of Williams once he gets his chance?
Pat Yasinskas (1:39 PM)
Not saying that right now. Let it play out, but that's my guess on how it goes down the road.
Internet Tough Guy (Cyberspace)
Can I kick the crap out of everyone who whines about the chat?
Pat Yasinskas (1:39 PM)
Go for it.
Nate - Nashville
Mosely said that Fletcher should've made it over Beason, you need to talk some sense into him. Fletcher led the fan voting at MLB, and Beason was not even top 5!
Pat Yasinskas (1:40 PM)
And I said all along Beason was a Pro Bowler.
Steiny (NYC)
Did Roddy White deserve make to the pro bowl over Calvin Johnson?
Pat Yasinskas (1:41 PM)
Yes.
Dave (Monroe NC)
Do you think that the Panthers will sit their starters if they win on Sunday.
Pat Yasinskas (1:41 PM)
Hadn't thought about that before. Good question. Doesn't seem to be Fox's style, but he's never been in this situation. Would be interesting to see how he'd react to that.
Eric (nashville
Pat, Im back to work now. Thanks for all your hard work. Merry Christmas!
Pat Yasinskas (1:42 PM)
Merry Christmas to you, too.
Terry (Charlotte)
I know Carolina has not been very good on the road this season, but don't you think its funny that the media (John Clayton, cough) thinks it would be impossible for Carolian to win on the road in the playoffs, when in fact, their history says otherwise?
Pat Yasinskas (1:42 PM)
Believe me, I know they can win on the road. I was at those playoff wins in St. Louis, Philly, NY and Chicago.
Dakota- (Charlotte, NC)
Can the Giants defend against both the pass and the run, or are they going to pick up both surprisingly well? Is the Cats best chance to win on the ground or through the air?
Pat Yasinskas (1:43 PM)
My guess is they try to defend the run and hope the weather takes care of the passing game.
Steiny (NYC)
Do Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith have the best QB-WR combination in the NFL?
Pat Yasinskas (1:44 PM)
Depends how you look at it (Manning-Harrison?), but Jake and Smith are definitely one of the best.
gary, GA
matt ryan has been great this year but what area do you think he could improve?
Pat Yasinskas (1:44 PM)
Not very many areas. I like everything about the way he plays.
Joe Tampa
Do you think the bucs will re-sign antonio bryant? Also will they make a push for a QB in the off season? thanks
Pat Yasinskas (1:45 PM)
Yes, they'll make a big effort on Bryant. I think they also go after a big-name QB.
MJ (Boston)
Mosely never said Fletcher should have made it over Beason. He said Bradie James had a gripe too. And he also said there's so many MLB's and they only take 2. He never said Fletcher should have made it. Nate from Nashville needs to hit the brakes!!
Pat Yasinskas (1:46 PM)
Well, then, let's set the record straight for my friend Matt Mosley.
Marvin Harrison
Im shot Pat, got legs like Red in Shawshank
Pat Yasinskas (1:46 PM)
Yeah, but my point was it depends on how you look at it -- right now, in recent years or in history.
Jason (Greensboro)
Do you think the Panthers drafted Stewart because they were worried about Williams as a long term back? If so, do you think this lit a fire under DeAngelo's butt?
Pat Yasinskas (1:47 PM)
Yes to both questions.
Mike - NYC
Given your background with the Panthers, what do you think is their biggest weakness right now? What can the Gmen exploit? I think it is keeping the ball in Delhomme's hands, forcing him to make a play.
Pat Yasinskas (1:47 PM)
That's what I would do if I were Spagnulo.
Joey (NY)
I personally think Chris Gamble had a very good year. A Pro Bowl worthy year. Granted, he might not have the INT's to back it up, but he played very well. Do you think the Panthers would be wise to lock him up?
Pat Yasinskas (1:48 PM)
They did lock him up. Gave him a $53 million contract about a month ago.
Chad (NY, NY)
I don't see Tebow playing QB in the NFL...maybe a RB or TE? Hybrid player?
Pat Yasinskas (1:48 PM)
One team I know -- and it's not an NFC South team -- views Tebow as a TE in the NFL.
Matt (Raleigh, NC)
Do you think Jake Delhomme is unfairly critized? He has an impressive home qb rating, but gets a lot of flack for depending on Steve Smith. Matt Ryan however is treated much better when he has a similar relationship with Ronny White.
Pat Yasinskas (1:49 PM)
I think Jake is underappreciated. Look back at what happened to Panthers without him last year.
gary, GA
i know time is winding down so can you answer this before you go. what are the falcons top 5 need this offseason in order?
Pat Yasinskas (1:50 PM)
DE, CB, S, OLB and TE.
Richard (Arden, NC)
Gotta call BS on the fire under DeAngelo. The guy showed flashes of brilliance even with limited reps. Fox just stuck with DeShaun too long.
Pat Yasinskas (1:50 PM)
Won't argue with you on sticking with Foster too long.
tampa
With kiffin leaving tampa who do you see taking over? if not someone from the inside do you think that they will change the scheme in tampa?
Pat Yasinskas (1:51 PM)
DB coach Raheem Morris and he'd be wise not to change a thing.
Chris Monroe NC
Pat, Who wins Sunday and the score? Panthers 23 Ginats 20?
Pat Yasinskas (1:51 PM)
Dont do predictions. I leave that up to our tv guys.
george, england
Ryan needs a safety blanket TE like dallas clark or jason witten. Should the Falcons draft him in 09
Pat Yasinskas (1:52 PM)
Exactly, I'd go out and get him a pass-catching TE.
Jonny, Queens
Just cuz we are better with Jake doesnt mean Jake is very good, it just means his backups are that much worse
Pat Yasinskas (1:52 PM)
Not saying he's Johnny Unitas. Just saying he's better than most people give him credit for.
MJ (Boston)
Pat - not sure how you feel about this, but I feel great knowing that the loud mouth DeAngelo Hall finally got what was coming to him, everyone knows he's a fraud now. Do the Falcons feel vindicated at all. They got a 2nd and a 5th...they're only going to get better.
Pat Yasinskas (1:53 PM)
I'm sure they do feel vindicated. Good move by them.
gary, GA
No DT in that list of needs? thats widely considered a top 3 need how come you dont think so?
Pat Yasinskas (1:54 PM)
Well, you do have to get somebody because Grady's not getting any younger. But Babineaux has become very good. Couple more questions and then I've got to run.
Joe Tampa
Do you think that if the bucs fail to make the playoffs gruden will get the axe? or a short leash?
Pat Yasinskas (1:55 PM)
Let's see what happens. I suspect things will work out because they've got two home games with Chargers and Raiders.
CC (Atlanta)
Come on Pat... everyone knows Jake folds like a cheap suit when you put pressure on him. He makes Chris Chandler look like an iron man!
Pat Yasinskas (1:55 PM)
The guy's been to a Super Bowl.
Jeff (Evans, GA)
Pat, How impressed were you with the play of Coy Wire last week? he looks like he could definately take over for Michael Boley permanetely.
Pat Yasinskas (1:56 PM)
Very impressed. That could well happen.
Paul (Knoxville)
Will Shockey still be with the Saints next year??...It seems that giving up a 2nd and a 5th is too much to give up for a guy to keep one year.
Pat Yasinskas (1:56 PM)
My guess is he'll be gone.
Jonathan, Washington DC
Wanted to let you know how appreciative we all are of these chats - you answer TONS of
Pat Yasinskas (1:58 PM)
And I appreciate you guys too. I've got to run now to fly to NY. Really enjoyed it. Happy Holidays to all. By the way, we set a new record for questions today. Right now, the counter is at 654. That's double the previous record for the chat. Thanks to Steiny in NY and Gary in Atlanta, in particular, who were really flying on the questions. Again, Happy Holidays to all.
george, england
your thoughts on keith brookings future in ATL
Pat Yasinskas (1:59 PM)
Questionable you may see him retire. Just a quick update on the question counter. It's now at 691. This time, I've really got to sign off.
