Tarvaris Jackson will be here soon! Keep sending in your questions.
Chris- Maple Grove, MN
Congrats on a solid performance yesterday. What did you learn most from watching Gus lead the offense?
Tarvaris Jackson (5:16 PM)
A lot. He asks plenty of questions, and he also taught me how to read the field with my eyes. So a lot of things.
Steiny (NYC)
Was yesterday the best game of your career?
Tarvaris Jackson (5:17 PM)
Yes, that had to be it.
Steiny (NYC)
What was it like having Adrian Peterson run for his franchise-record ninth 100-yard game of the season?
Tarvaris Jackson (5:19 PM)
That is the norm for him, so we expect it. If he gets 20-25 carries we know he is going to go over 100 yards.
Litchfield, MN
How big of a transition is it from college football to the NFL?
Tarvaris Jackson (5:21 PM)
Well the biggest difference is that the NFL is a real job and you really have to understand that. In college you go to class and then go to pactice, so it is a much different experience. There areso many more challenges in the NFL and in order to succeed you have to learn the little things to really get an edge.
Ryan (Chicago, IL)
Great game yesterday. Whats the biggest difference in your game now compared to last year or the first 2 games of this year? You look a lot more comfortable back there keep it up.
Tarvaris Jackson (5:22 PM)
Appreciate it. Right now I'm having fun. That's the big difference. I go out there and I'm not trying not to make mistakes, I am just going out there and having fun and trying to make plays.
Tony (Laredo)
What is it like playing in front of Vikings Fans at the Metrodome?
Tarvaris Jackson (5:23 PM)
We play out best football there. The crowd we have and the fans we have they bring everyone up. They get us going and that really shows in our play.
William Nelson (Kansas City)
What visiting stadium has the best enviornment?
Tarvaris Jackson (5:24 PM)
Arizona. I liked playing out there, and we had a lot of fans there too. And their stadium and city is very nice.
Steiny (NYC)
Do you think that Bernard Berrian is the best big play wide receiver in the NFL?
Tarvaris Jackson (5:26 PM)
I actually think he leads the league in yards per catch, so that shows his big play potential. He is a big play guy, and has made a lot of big catches this year. He shows it week in and week out. I think the stats reflect his ability.
Jake (Saint Paul, MN)
Great game yesterday. Looking foward, what would you say you need to work on next as you try to improve your game?
Tarvaris Jackson (5:27 PM)
A lot of things. I need to be more accurate. But every part of my game I can get better at and I will work hard at that going forward.
Jmerms (NYC)
Do you think that your team will make it to the Super Bowl?
Tarvaris Jackson (5:29 PM)
I am not going to jump to conclusions. But we have the talent and everything that we need to get there. So we need to be ourselves and do what we have been doing lately and I think we will have a great chance. But we need to put everything into one game at a time.
Tarvaris Jackson (5:29 PM)
Appreciate you spending some time with me. Go Vikings!
Tarvaris Jackson (5:31 PM)
And I just want to give out a shout out to the whole SWAC, Alabama State first and everyone else second!
