I have no idea what Floyd will do. I hope he does come out to fight Mosley this summer. I have wanted to see the fight for ages. Read my blog from yesterday for more on that. As for the other fight you mentioned, Peter's people would like to do it, but the Arreola people don't seem too interested. I'd like to see it.

I actually spoke to Kevin Cunningham, Devon's trainer and manager, yesterday. He told me the fight is being negotiated between Don King and Witter's people. He said he hopes it's set for April but there is nothing definitive yet about a date, venue or TV.

Showtime will never compete with HBO for the biggest fights and biggest names but they do the best they can with the budget they have, so sometimes that means picking up good fights that the hardcore fans are interested in that don't have a lot of mainstream notice. Showtime doing Lucian Bute fights, for example, is what I mean. Or doing Caballero-Molitor or even Vazquez-Marquez 1, when it was just a very good matchup but not one involving huge names.

It's on Showtime, but Showtime's fights are often offered on PPV for viewers who dont have Showtime or dont want to subscribe but want to see the fight. What it is designed to do is entice folks to subscribe to Showtime because why pay $24.95 to see the fight telecast when you can pay like $13 and get Showtime 24/7 for the whole month?

I tend to believe so. I need to look closely at his record but Mark was a tremendous fighter, probably the best American flyweight ever. He was a p4p caliber fighter for many years but never really got his due. The very first world title fight I ever covered was one of his title fights in Oneida, NY, in about 1997.

Once again the powers that be take it to the fans. the 150 and 300 dollar seats for Pac-Hatton were unavailable to the fans. And the 500 and 750s available are the aux seats that are only used for big events (for example these seats were not used in Cotto Margarito). So in order to get a true seat MGM you must throw a grand a seat. Hopefully, we have the brokers stuck w tickets once again. Youd think theyd learn their lesson!

There wasn't one. I think the reason there wasn't was simply because the fight didn't get made until late November and with the holidays, it was too short of notice to get it done.

He has said he won't go back to 135. However, I think between 140 and 147, he will take the biggest and best fights he can. He took the Oscar fight and now Hatton, both huge fights. If Manny wins, I'm sure he'll look for the next biggest fight he can make.

That is simply wrong. HBO has produced countdown shows for non-PPVs -- for example, Calzaghe-Hopkins, DLH-Forbes and Taylor-Wright. Get your head out of your rear end.
