Let's get this going!
Eric Weinstein Summerville SC
Milton what was the best advice anyone has given you that you use daily?
Milton Jennings (12:01 PM)
I guess the best was my AAU coach from 13 to 17 when I first started playing. I basically took a drop step and fell and I was super embarrassed. He said don't worry about it. Just keep pushing. And I kept pushing.
Steiny (NYC)
Milton, how excited are you to play for Coach Purnell?
Milton Jennings (12:02 PM)
Super excited. I think he's one of the top 5 greatest basketball coaches right now. I think he's doing great things for Clemson. He's winning more games each year. I'm super proud to play for him next year.
Sean Summerville, SC
Milt: Do you think that youy will be able to help the Tigers make it past the first round of the NCAA tourney? How much time do you expect to get this year for the Tigers
Milton Jennings (12:03 PM)
That's one of my goals. When I set a goal for myself, I want to fulfill it to the best of my abilities. I'm going to do everything he tells me to do and do everything I can do to help Clemson get out of the first round. I do see myself, maybe not starting right away, but getting plenty of playing time. It's all about how hard we work or how hard we want it.
Ted (New Jersey)
Milton, what do you bring to Clemson?
Milton Jennings (12:04 PM)
In-state school, first of all. It was the ACC and every time I went to visit, I felt at home even more. Most importantly, when you visit colleges, you want to feel at home. It was a great school, close to home. I didn't feel like I needed to be anywhere else.
Aaron (Florida)
Milton, do you consider yourself the best Power forwards in the class?
Milton Jennings (12:05 PM)
I don't. I don't consider myself the best, because there are some other guys here and these guys have a big weight advantage. They're tough. I'm 215 and I have a bunch of things I need to work on. But as far as versatility, I think I have an advantage.
Henry (Buffalo)
Milton, did you have Clemson going all the way in your bracket?
Milton Jennings (12:06 PM)
I had them going to the Sweet 16.
Milton Jennings (12:06 PM)
I thought my boys would take care of Michigan. I wanted to see Booker take on Blake. But there's always next year.
CHris (FSU)
milton.. shoulda chose The Florida State University.. lol
Frank (Colorado)
Milton, what is one thing that coach Eidson stresses in practice?
Milton Jennings (12:08 PM)
Above and beyond. I heard it many a times. He comes up with a new phrase each year. This year he wanted to go above and beyond. Everyone being going hard. Every day you step into the gym you go hard. That's what every coach wants and what every coach stresses in practice.
Steiny (NYC)
Milton, was Clemson your favorite college basketball team growing up?
Milton Jennings (12:09 PM)
Actually, I started off as a big UNC fan. My family is North Carolina fans. We were split with UNC and Duke. When I started playing basketball, I liked UNC more than I liked Duke. So that's where I started off with college basketball teams.
keith (NJ)
Milton, what are your goals going to be at Clemson?
Milton Jennings (12:10 PM)
Well, the same - get in there, get better. I like the weight room trainer, John. I want to get to know him pretty well. Definitely listen to Coach Purnell. I'll meet with him and set my goals with what his goals are.
James (Chicago)
Milton, was there any second-guessing in your decision to go to Clemson?
Milton Jennings (12:11 PM)
No, never. We have so much time to look at what school we want. Once I made my decision, I knew I had made up my mind. I'm pretty good with those kinds of decisions. Once my mind is made up, I am committed. I don't change my mind.
Andrew (NY)
Milton, you mentioned Purnell being one of the Top 5 coaches right now. Who are the other 4? Thanks.
Milton Jennings (12:12 PM)
Obviously, you have Coach K, Roy Williams, Coach Pitino, Billy D, he's a great guy. I was happy when I got to meet him.
Milton Jennings (12:12 PM)
Obviously you have all these good coaches. Every coach is really great. Everybody has an opinion as to who is better. But those would be my top few guys.
isaac (stockbridge, GA)
so milt are you gonna be able to break the unc-clemson streak in chapel hill? that would feel pretty good as someone who grew up liking the tar heels.
Milton Jennings (12:13 PM)
That's probably my biggest goal. I'm happy that we don't go to UNC next year. That gives me one year to get acclimated to college basketball and play the stronger guys and work on my left hand. Next year we'll play them and hopefully I'll be geared up and ready. I think we'll be the class to do it. It will be tough UNC always has great players.
Milton Jennings (12:14 PM)
Go Tigers!
Buzzmaster (12:14 PM)
Thanks Milton!
Buzzmaster (12:14 PM)
Next up is Keith "Tiny" Gallon!
Evan (NY)
Hey Keith who are your favorites to win the NCAA Tourney and who do you expect to make it to the championship?
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:18 PM)
It's hard for me to say right now. They beat my team Oklahoma, so I'd say UNC. I think they're going to win it all.
Gary (Phoenix)
are you hoping that Blake Griffin will stay so you can play with him next year?
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:18 PM)
Oh yeah. I want him to say. It could be high level action. If he stays, I think we'd have the best frontcourt and backcourt. It would be really really hard to stop us.
Erik (LA)
Keith, were you an Oklahoma fan growing up?
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:20 PM)
No, not really. I was a Cal-Berkley fan. That was the school I liked growing up and the school that I wanted to go to. I moved out to the midwest and I got caught up in AAU and went to Oklahoma.
Will J (Portland, OR)
Keith, which player(s) did you idolize when you were growing up?
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:21 PM)
I looked up to my Uncle Tony. He's my favorite basketball player. He still plays ball. He's out in California. Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson, like everybody else. LeBron James I saw him in high school. I really love LeBron right now.
Jon (Brooklyn)
Keith, how excited are you to play for Jeff Capel?
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:21 PM)
It's real exciting. He's a real good coach. He's young, so he understands the ups and downs of a young person. He expects me to go out there and play how I play. Playing for coach Capel is real good. He's a real good coach.
Dale (Louisville)
Keith, how did you get the nickname Tiny?
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:23 PM)
My 9th grade year, that's when I moved to Houston. My Houston hoops coach, I was about 365 and I was real big. I knocked on his door and my counselor told me about the AAU team. He saw me and he said this can't be the kid they were talking about. He just called me Tiny from the start and it stuck. I didn't like it at first. He just put me as Tiny. He didn't put my height or weight down, just Tiny. We already had a lot of guards, so people thought we had another guard.
evan (orlando)
what's the best part of OU?
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:24 PM)
Playing for the coach. I think we can win. That's the best thing. The staff. I met the teachers and everybody. Being around a good environment. With me, I'm a real team person. If we have a good team chemistry, we can win.
Will J (Portland, OR)
Keith, did you enjoy the overall recruiting experience (likes/dislikes)?
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:25 PM)
I enjoyed it. I did get a lot of looks my 9th and 10th grade year. It feels real good when people start recruiting you. After a while you get tied up and people start calling you. But that's the life that you chose and if you're a good player you have to accept it.
Matt (Boston)
Are you worried that coach Capel might be headed to the ACC where he used to play?
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:27 PM)
No, I'm not worried at all. He has one of the top 5 recruiting classes coming in. Hopefully I do one and done or two, it doesn't matter. If I do go to the next level, I want to come back with him still there so I can support the program. But I'm not worried about that.
fred (TX)
Keith when you chose Oklahoma did you ever second guess yourself or did you KNOW you wanted Oklahoma?
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:28 PM)
Yeah, I think people second guess themselves. The other schools on my list, UNLV, Cal, Mississippi State. But I felt I made the right decision for myself. I think Oklahoma will be the people that can get me where I want to go the fastest. That's why I chose them.
Keith ''Tiny'' Gallon (12:28 PM)
I love my fans. I'm going to try and put on a good show on Wednesday!
Buzzmaster (12:28 PM)
Thanks Tiny!

Next up is Mason Plumlee!
Jordan (Redding, CA)
Hey Mason, I'm stoked that Duke is finally getting some quality big guys in you and ryan. What skills do you bring to the team and do you think you'll have a chance to win the championship next year now that Duke will have big guys to battle down low with the rest of the country?
Mason Plumlee (12:30 PM)
I just think being a presence inside. Staying active. Being a mobile big man. A consistent rebounder and defender.
Ben (Queen Creek, AZ)
Mason...glad to have you on board the greatest program in the country! Did your brother talk to you at all about his lack of playing time this year and how do you see the two of you being able to share the court? Duke 4 Life
Mason Plumlee (12:31 PM)
I talk to Miles all the time. He's had a rough year. I know it's not how he envisioned it going in. We've always been on the court together. I think we've proven that we can win together. I don't think it will be a problem doing the same thign at Duke.
Josh Gracie (Asheville, NC)
Mason, how did you come up with ideas for your dunks last night?
Mason Plumlee (12:32 PM)
I don't even know! A lot of free time, thinking about stupid stuff. Most of the dunks have been done before, I just tried to add my own thing to them.
KD, NYC
How does your game compare to Miles? Is your little brother any good and when is he signing up with Duke?
Mason Plumlee (12:33 PM)
As far as me and Miles, I think we're similar, but at the same time, he's bigger and stronger than me. As far as Marshall goes, he's developing, he's pretty scrawny right now. He's still just a junior. If he has a good summer, I'm hoping he'll have a chance to come to Duke.
Sid (NC)
Mason, how do you see yourself fitting in at Duke your first year? and do you see John Wall joining the Duke 09 class?
Mason Plumlee (12:33 PM)
I just think it will be interesting. I'm going in with the mentality that I'll have to work for everything. I'm going in there with my own expectations and ready to work.
Scott (Gainesville, FL)
Mason, how excited are you to play for Mike Krzyzewski?
Mason Plumlee (12:34 PM)
I'm extremely excited. I'm looking forward to getting on campus and having him be my coach. you can't really describe how excited I am.
Cole (VA)
Mason, are you excited to be playing with seth curry in the future?
Mason Plumlee (12:35 PM)
Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. I played against him in high school and I have a lot of respect for him as a player. I'm looking forward to having him on the team.
Ben (Greenville, SC)
What attracted you to Duke and what are some things that they offer that you were looking for?
Mason Plumlee (12:35 PM)
Coach K was what attracted me. The opportunity to play under him and play at a great institution.
d(mcbee, sc)
how do u think u can contribute in the frontcourt on offense and defense next year mason?
Mason Plumlee (12:36 PM)
Like I said, a lot depends on how good of a summer and fall I have going into the season. I have to beat out some people for time. I'm going to go in and give it my best.
al (Florida)
how do your brackets look?
Mason Plumlee (12:37 PM)
Oh, I didn't fill one out. Sorry.
Will J (Portland, OR)
Was there any doubt you were going to attend Duke?
Mason Plumlee (12:37 PM)
Yeah. It was a lot harder decision than people think. I thought I had a good relationship with Georgetown and Stanford. I just felt more comfortable overall with Coach K and Duke.
Russell (NC)
Mason, what is the best advice you can give someone who wants to play college basketball someday?
Mason Plumlee (12:38 PM)
Just work hard. Don't let people tell you you can't do something. In my situation back home in Indiana, I wasn't playing as a freshman and they had low expectations for me. You have to have your own goals and not let someone tell you you can't do something.
Dan (Buffalo, NY)
You should have gone to UNC.
SJ, Brooklyn
Which of the Duke assistants was most influential in garnering your commitment to Duke?
Mason Plumlee (12:39 PM)
Coach Collins recruited me. He did a great job. He was really the assistant that I was in contact with and talked to. He came and visited my school.
Miller (SC)
Mason, does the Duke coaching staff want you put on some weight before you get on campus in the fall?
Mason Plumlee (12:40 PM)
Honestly, Coach K has told me to not worry about how much I weigh. They just want me to get stronger. I have a strength coach at my high school and we do a alot there.
Ben (Queen Creek, AZ)
Mason....tell Dan from Buffalo to get a life!
Seth (MN)
Mason, how excited are you to play in front of the Cameron Crazies?
Mason Plumlee (12:40 PM)
I'm real excited. I don't think there's a better fan base in college basketball. I'm looking forward to it.
Christian (BR, LA)
Mason, huge Duke fan here, did the tradition of Duke lure you any? what was the number one factor that made you want to sign with Duke?
Mason Plumlee (12:41 PM)
Honestly, I knew they had a good tradition, but it wasn't one that I followed, being up in Indiana. I appreciate all their accomplishments and national championships now, but I was more focused on the here and now and what the opportunity for me was at the time.
Jim (Toronto)
What parts of your game will you be working on this summer?
Mason Plumlee (12:42 PM)
My jumpshot and just getting stronger to finish inside. Doing a lot of post work with medicine balls. It's more strength stuff with me.
Mason Plumlee (12:42 PM)
Thanks for the questions and support. I can't wait to get to Duke!
Buzzmaster (12:42 PM)
Thanks Mason!
