Chat with Brandon Gibson

Gibson led Washington State in receptions (57), receiving yards (673) and TD catches (2) in 2008. It marked the third straight year that he led the team in receiving yards. For his career, Gibson finished with 2,756 receiving yards and 17 TD catches.
According to Gibson's Scouts Inc.'s draft profile, he "uses hesitation move to avoid contact at the line of scrimmage reaches top-end speed quickly and tracks the deep ball well ... aggressive going after the football and not afraid to expose frame to big hit when going over the middle."
Send in your questions now, then join Gibson on Friday at 4 p.m. ET!

We've got Brandon!
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
Brandon, Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Brandon Gibson (4:08 PM)
Not really. I pray before my game and I like to listen to some music, ranging from jazz up to Jay-Z and Kanye West.
Sam Pritchard (Ohio)
what team do you hope drafts you
Brandon Gibson (4:09 PM)
Not really. I am just hoping to get an opportunity. Not many people get a chance to do this. But I there are a couple of teams that I enjoy watching, Seahawks, Giants.
Rich(Toms River,NJ)
Other then skill, what do you feel is the biggest difference between a good athlete and great athlete?
Brandon Gibson (4:10 PM)
I think what they put in, outside of practice. Whether they get extra lifts in or work on routes to work on their skill set outside of practice. A lot of people aren't tremendous athletes, so it's what they put into it.
Jason (Chicago)
What's the game that sticks out in your mind the most?
Brandon Gibson (4:10 PM)
The game that really helped elevate me and made be believe I could play at the next level was Cal in 2006. They had a lot of NFL players. I played well myself. The team didn't get a win, but it really gave me a lot of confidence.
Steiny (NYC)
Do you listen to what people in the media say about you?
Brandon Gibson (4:12 PM)
Not really. Sometimes your friends might relay it back to you. But sometimes those guys haven't played football or know a lot about football. Sometimes the big name guys turn out to be busts and you can find gems in the later rounds. You just have to go by what you see.
Terry (Phoenix)
What was your favorite NFL team growing up?
Brandon Gibson (4:12 PM)
Man...growing up, I think I liked the Ravens with Ray Lewis. Jamaal Lewis, Trent Dilfer. They did a good job of playing defense. Probably the Seahawks as well when they had Joey Galloway and Rickey Waters.
Jason (Atlanta)
WSU grad here. Good luck. What teams have you visited so far?
Brandon Gibson (4:13 PM)
No, not really. I worked out for the Seahawks at a local workout, but that's about it.
Chris Williams (St. Albans, WV)
How hard is the travel on you? When you play in a different time zone is it hard to adjust?
Brandon Gibson (4:14 PM)
We're on the West Coast, so there wasn't that much of a time change. We didn't go that far east. It was relatively easy. Maybe at the next level, I think it will be a lot different.
Justin Behling (Boyceville, WI)
Who is your favorite current NFL player and why?
Brandon Gibson (4:15 PM)
I have two. Anquan Boldin and Steve Smith from the Giants. Boldin is such a physical player. Every time he has the ball, you have to hold your breath. Steve, I think he's one of the best route runners. He gets open, catches the ball and moves the chains.
Jeff (Brooklyn, NY
What was the best advice you've ever gotten?
Brandon Gibson (4:15 PM)
That's a hard one. I've gotten a lot of advice from people. Most of all, play your game. Work hard, because hard work always ends up with success.
al (Florida)
What will you miss most about playing football at Washington State University?
Brandon Gibson (4:16 PM)
The atmosphere. It's one of the best places to play college football. The fans get behind the team. You come on Saturday and it's packed out there. You can really feel the environment. It's fun.
Frank (Colorado)
If you were not a football player, what would you be?
Brandon Gibson (4:17 PM)
Playing basketball or being a history teacher.
Kevin (Virginia)
What part of your game do you think needs to be most improved?
Brandon Gibson (4:17 PM)
I think just being more consistent. Consistency is a big part of what people miss out on football. I think the most consistent team wins. That's the biggest thing.

Hello Brandon. You sound awfully pleasant and humble. A team guy and gentleman. Are you sure you are ready to be an NFL Wide receiver?
Brandon Gibson (4:19 PM)
Yeah. I think being humble is really important. I try to keep my confidence to myself and believe that I can do anything. I was just raised to be a nice person and a good kid, so that's what I'm going to do.
Brandon Gibson (4:19 PM)
Thanks for the support. Go Cougs!
