John (Scranton PA)
Best possibility for ATL in upcoming draft?
Pat Yasinskas (12:45 PM)
I say Louis Delmas. Say hello to all my family and friends in Scranton.
Steve in Seattle
Hi Pat, enjoy your stuff. With the signing of Leftwich should the Bucs leave Freeman on the board and go DL or DB at 19 and then get a Qb later for coach Jags to work with. Also what do you think about trading Griese to NYJ for a 2nd or 3rd rounder?
Pat Yasinskas (12:47 PM)
I don't think they even touch a QB in this draft. Go DT or CB or DE in first. Realistically, they might get a 6 or a 7 for Griese.
Troy, Kansas
Pat, I love your chats. Is there a possibility of Carolina maybe trading JP to 'Zona for Boldin? I've heard a few people talking about it but I'm not sure it would be the best move. Carolina has Smitty and I see Jarret taking a major role this year.
Pat Yasinskas (12:48 PM)
Don't see it. There's only room for one No. 1 WR in Carolina and they've already got him.
Erick: indio, Cali
if the saints were to choose a cornerback who would be a better fit for thier defense
Pat Yasinskas (12:49 PM)
I'd take Malcom Jenkins and move him to safety. Vontae Davis is a possibility if Jenkins is gone.
David (Los Angeles, CA)
A week or two ago someone asked you if you thought Josh Johnson would ever be the starter for the Bucs and you answered "no." Come on, Pat, I could give that answer, the guy was a 5th round pick. Other than that fact, why don't you think he will eventually start? Is the new regime less enamored with him than the old one?
Pat Yasinskas (12:50 PM)
I don't think anybody's ever been enamored with him. Like you say, he's a fifth-round pick. He was a project last year and he's a project this year. With another new offense to learn.
Pabo (Tampa)
Hi Pat, Do you think the bucs might go with DE in this years draft? and if they do who do you think it will be? Michael Johnson? Larry English? Robert Ayers? or will it be a DT? Peria Jerry?
Pat Yasinskas (12:51 PM)
Don't rule out Johnson or English. I think the need at DT is greater, but I'm not sure Peira is the big type of DT they're looking for.
Matt (Cairo, Egypt)
Yes, Egypt. Hey Pat. I like your attitude when it comes to the Saints drafting Wells and I hope McShay is wrong in his Mock Draft. I think Jenkins would be a great player for our defense, but wouldn't Cushing help our lack of sacking the quarterback more? That is something we really needed help on last year.
Pat Yasinskas (12:52 PM)
Yeah, I think Cushing is possible. I could also see a DT in the first.
Miles (Orlando, FL)
Pat, just wanted to say I'm glad to see at least ONE person in the media paying attention to the fact that the Bucs aren't looking for 3-technique tackles. Keep up the good work.
Pat Yasinskas (12:53 PM)
And they're not going with the Cover Two any more either -- at least not on a regular basis. Lots of changes in Tampa.
Bj North carolina
Pat Do you have any idea with the 59 pick who would the panthers take, it has to be between DT, CB, Or DE.. But Lets say for an example if peppers do get traded and we get ta first round pick who can you see the panthers taking at DE..
Pat Yasinskas (12:54 PM)
Obviously, depends on where they would land in the first round. Get into the 10-15 range and I'd say Everette Brown. In the later 20s, maybe Michael Johnson -- he's like a young Pep, complete with a rep for taking plays off.
Billy in Maryland
Hi Pat, Should the Bucs trade their 1st and 3rd pick and Cadillac Williams to the Cardinals for Anquan Boldin and a DT/CB?
Pat Yasinskas (12:54 PM)
No, they've got more needs than WR. They need to keep their picks. And why does anybody think Cadillac has any trade value right now???
Nick (Tampa)
Pat, I know you are speculating just like everyone else concerning the draft, but thanks for putting a lot of Bucs fans fears to rest regarding the team drafting Freeman.
Pat Yasinskas (12:56 PM)
Hey, I could be wrong. But I just don't see it. If anything, I think Freeman stuff has been a smoke screen all along.
Miles (Orlando, FL)
Who would you give the upper hand to (as of right now) in the Bucs upcoming QB competition? Some people are talking like Leftwich was signed to be the starter, but it seems like he got a contract very similar to the one McCown did... so they would appear to be starting on equal footing. Thoughts?
Pat Yasinskas (12:57 PM)
McCown. Actually, he's got the bigger contract. They also are high on him and his potential. Also, he's already had about two months edge in learning the new offense.
Miles (Orlando, FL)
Winslow kinda set the market for guys with surgically repaired knees. That's my guess as to why people are thinking Caddy in trades.
Pat Yasinskas (12:57 PM)
Nah, no market for him until he's healed up.
Michael (Hammond, LA)
Hey Pat, with their lack of picks, do you think the Saints try to move down in the first round? (Maybe in the mid-20's) If so, who do you seem them targeting there?
Pat Yasinskas (12:58 PM)
I think the Saints should and would jump at the chance to trade down and add a second or a third rounder. But that's easier said than done. Going to depend on what happens before they get on the clock and when they're on the clock.
jay ga
do you think the falcons will still try to trade for gonzales it has been quiet since momdays rumor mill
Pat Yasinskas (12:59 PM)
Not sure that was ever really true in the first place.
John (Orlando FL)
Pat, is there a perfect DT ideally fit for the Bucs new scheme? Ziggy Hood looks very similar to Jason Ferguson, just saying...
Pat Yasinskas (1:00 PM)
Could be. Here's a scenario for you. Bucs trade down to very late in first round and take Ron Brace?
Suzanne (Venice, FL)
Isn't Leftwich kind of broken, hobbled by knee problems? I don't see him here (with the Bucs).
Pat Yasinskas (1:00 PM)
He was better than anything else out there. He's still got some legs.
Sean - Raleigh, NC
Hey Pat, I've noticed talk has cooled down about the trading of Julius Peppers. Do you think it is still a possibility? And to who?
Pat Yasinskas (1:01 PM)
Yes, still a possibility. I've said all along wait until a day or two before the draft or even on draft day. I think things will heat up.
James Bradenton Fl
I think Charles Johnson can become a factor on defense this year at DE if we draft someone to hold down the other side at DT do you see us drafting a DT in later rounds to boost our depth at DT?
Pat Yasinskas (1:03 PM)
I'd take a DT in the middle rounds -- maybe even as high as the second round. Kemo and Lewis are decent, but they need another quality guy in the rotation.
Sam (Raliegh)
Pat, I dont think either of Carolina's current backup O-lineman are ready to start in case of an injury please tell me thats not true or that we can address that need in the draft.
Pat Yasinskas (1:03 PM)
Think you can count on seeing an OL or two in the draft. They need depth badly.
jay Ga
well which do you think thr Falcons would choose Michael Jhonson or Chase Coffman if Delmas is gone at 24
Pat Yasinskas (1:05 PM)
I know this might not be the popular answer, but I'd take Johnson and let Smith coach him up. Also, I think Chase Coffman will be there in Round 2 or 3.
Matt: (Cleveland)
The Browns offer Derek Anderson for Cadillac Williams straight up. Let's make it happen.
Pat Yasinskas (1:06 PM)
If the Browns do that, they've got more problems than I thought they already did. No offense to Cadillac and I hope he comes back strong. But, fact is, the guy can't even run right now. How could you make that deal?
AlDogg - D.C.
Would anyone actually trade a 1st round pick for Peppers while Michael Johnson is still on the board?
Pat Yasinskas (1:07 PM)
Very good point and something I think we should all at least think about.
Miles (Orlando, FL)
Just read your latest blog posting, Pat. I've been telling everyone who would listen for a month now that Ron Brace is who the Bucs should be targeting at DT, but I didn't think it would happen without trading down. Do you really think they might take a reach on him at 19 if they can't trade back a few picks?
Pat Yasinskas (1:08 PM)
If they could trade back, say to the mid-20s and get Brace and an extra pick, I say that's a perfect world.
Suzanne (Venice, FL)
Matt: (Cleveland). That Lake Erie effect cold wouldn't do Caddy's knees any favors. Pat, what about trading the Bucs 1st for Quinn? He was coached for pro ball and is ready to take the field. Brings some star power and not bad to look at either.
Pat Yasinskas (1:10 PM)
Hate to see the Bucs give up a No. 1 when they have so many other needs. Besides, I think they're serious about going with McCown or Leftwich.
Ryan (Dallas)
Any chance BJ falls to Tampa?
Pat Yasinskas (1:11 PM)
You never know. I don't want to speculate on Raji's specific situation because that's a sensitive issue. But, if he falls, Bucs would have to consider him strongly.
Rob San Francisco
In Miami, Jeff took a bunch of unknown DTs and made Jason Taylor, do you think that makes it more likely that the bucs grab a DE 1st round if BJ Raji isnt there?
Pat Yasinskas (1:12 PM)
Think you mean Jim Bates, not "Jeff". But, yeah, I could definitely see Bucs taking a DE.
Shacklett (Chattanooga, TN
Do you see the Falcons having a better defense this year, or do you think they will need a little more time to build?
Pat Yasinskas (1:13 PM)
Need to draft some defensive bodies to get better. All they've added so far is Mike Peterson.
Wes (charlotte)
Pat, I disagree with your assesment of Boldin in Carolina. He strikes me as a younger, more athletic version of Moose. I say, if Peppers will take the deal, shipping him to 'Zona for Boldin and a pick doesn't sound totally unreasonable.
Pat Yasinskas (1:13 PM)
Think about how that might fly in the locker room?
James ( Avalon NJ. )
Good afternoon Pat! How much gas do you think the great R.Barber has left in the tank? Do you see him retiring a Buc?
Pat Yasinskas (1:14 PM)
Think he can give them one more decent season, but I think they draft a replacement this year.
Josh (Spartanburg, SC)
Hey Pat...do you think Hurney is just giving the company line about Peppers or are they that delusional that he would stay? I understand that he's very talented but if the guy wants to go let him go already....for a price!!!
Pat Yasinskas (1:15 PM)
Company line. He's saying what he has to say right now. Stay tuned.
Robert (Latrobe, PA)
Has the "Get rid of Delhomme" talk died down a bit? One bad playoff game does not make a terrible QB.
Pat Yasinskas (1:16 PM)
I still get a lot of it here and in my mailbag. Bottom line is I don't think Fox and Hurney have any plans to go away from Jake.
Robert (Latrobe, PA)
Aqib Talib expressed some interest in getting reps at WR last year. That sounds stupid, but will Morris give him a chance to do it?
Pat Yasinskas (1:16 PM)
Don't think they can afford to do that. They need him as No. 1 CB now.
Corey (Chicago)
I agree the NFC South needs to go defense in the draft. What's the bigger need early in the draft for the Buc's - CB or DL?
Pat Yasinskas (1:17 PM)
I say DL. DTs were the problem at the end of last season and they haven't fixed anything yet.
Wes (charlotte)
Don't want to keep harping on Bolden....but he hasn't been a locker room problem with the Cards. Plus, he's used to being the #2 behind Fitz. He's also a great downfield blocker, which couldn't possible fit in any better in Charlotte.
Pat Yasinskas (1:18 PM)
I'm not talking about Boldin. I'm talking about the guy already in the locker room. He didn't like it when Keyshawn was there.
Nick (Tampa)
Answer to Corey in Chicago (What's the bigger need early in the draft for the Buc's - CB or DL?) All of the above!
Pat Yasinskas (1:19 PM)
Agreed.
Ryan (Napa)
In the workouts so far, how has michael clayton looked? Back to form or still slouching it? Any chance we get more production from Stovall this season?
Pat Yasinskas (1:19 PM)
Think you'll see a lot more out of Clayton this year. Stovall? Don't get your hopes up.
Wes (charlotte)
lol, you make a great point there. But even he should know....one more strike and he's out!
Pat Yasinskas (1:20 PM)
Don't be so sure. He's survived this far and he's got a big contract through 2012.
Preston Penn III (Nashville)
Do you see Ryan having a better year this year or do you think he will follow Vince Young and dud out?
Pat Yasinskas (1:21 PM)
Better. Ryan's the real deal and he's got a good offense around him. He's gonna be good for a LONG time.
Benjamin (Plattsburgh)
Delholme is old, injury prone and turnover prone.... anyways rookie qbs dont play (last year not included)... draft a good young qb now play him later.... itd be dumb not too
Pat Yasinskas (1:21 PM)
Not arguing with you on that. But tell it to Fox and Hurney.
qjizzle hartford, Ct [via mobile]
Hey pat, any word on how the Falcons' secondary is shaping up? Also what position do you see as their biggest need and who do they take at 24?
Pat Yasinskas (1:22 PM)
They like their CBs better than most of us do. They do need a safety. I could see Delmas at 24.
JC ( St.Louis )
Hey Pat! It's great to be home. I've been in the desert for while so I kinda lost touch with my Bucs. What has become of Cadillac Williams? Thanks.
Pat Yasinskas (1:23 PM)
He's rehabbing his injured knee. He says he hopes to be ready for training camp.
Wes (charlotte)
I did say he SHOULD know!
Pat Yasinskas (1:23 PM)
Yep, you're right.
Travis (Phoenix, AZ)
I gatta say I hate the idea of going after Boldin, we dont NEED him, we need to trade peppers for a later 1st rounder then draft Johnson and Kruger for DE and sign Vonnie Holliday to give us a 3rd veteran DT...we can draft a back up CB in the 3rd round then another DT and OL in 4-7th...how that sound Pat?
Pat Yasinskas (1:24 PM)
I like the way you think. I'm going to forward your plan to Marty Hurney.
Wes (charlotte)
In response to Benjamin - by the time the Panthers pick, there aren't going to be any QB's left to waste one of your (only) 5 picks on. If they are going to let anyone play other than Delhomme, it'll be McCown. And even that is reaching. The anti-Delhomme people just need to save their breath because nothing is changing anytime soon.
Pat Yasinskas (1:25 PM)
Ding, ding, ding. You nailed it. And McCown does have some upside.
Corey (Chicago)
Pat, why no love in N.O. for Pierre Thomas? The guy can play, they don't need B. Wells!
Pat Yasinskas (1:26 PM)
I'm with you on Pierre. I say draft defense in the first. They can get a big back later.
Mark (Roseland, LA)
Do you believe the story on Moore and his shoulder?
Pat Yasinskas (1:27 PM)
Yeah, why, you hearing something different?
Vance (Greensboro)
who is better Josh McCown or Luke McCown?
Pat Yasinskas (1:28 PM)
Tough one. I think they're both decent. Luke probably has more upside.
Mikey(Austin)
I think deangelo williams is gonna be the most dissapointed player and I think Colston is gonna come back and fill up stat sheet. Your thoughts?
Pat Yasinskas (1:29 PM)
I think Colston will bounce back with a huge year. I don't see DeAngelo falling off. He's got a good line in front of him.
Ryan (Napa)
The future of the NFC South QB situation...McCown x2, Ryan, and Brees? Have brothers ever been starting QBs in the same division before? That'd be something...
Pat Yasinskas (1:30 PM)
It definitely could happen.
Alan Charlotte
I thought Smith tried to recruit Bolding to come here during the pro bowl
Pat Yasinskas (1:30 PM)
You think he'd be content if Boldin gets a bigger contract than his?
Chris (Atlanta)
Personaly I would like to see the Falcons trade down with our #1 pick and draft something like this....... Larry English, Max Unger Jared Cook in the 2nd round......
Pat Yasinskas (1:31 PM)
Possible. I'm sure Dimitroff would at least consider trading down.
Joe (Boston)
Steiny: Is he a great chatter or just sends in so many questions that he has to get something posted?
Pat Yasinskas (1:32 PM)
Steiny is a machine, unlike anyone else I have ever seen. If he were a draft prospect, he would have a 4.2 40 time.
Vance (greensboro)
What do you see in the Panthers DT Lewis that I don't. I like Kemo, but Lewis seems to struggle alot, and i think he fell off at the end of the season.
Pat Yasinskas (1:33 PM)
Lewis has some quickness and pass-rush ability inside. But he's definitely not a run stuffer.
Erie, Pa
Pat,love the chat room Will Carolina ever draft a decent quarteback? I'm tired of them drafting "backups" and then to discover there no longer in the league
Pat Yasinskas (1:34 PM)
Ah, give them a break. I thought Stefon LeFors was a great choice. Just kidding. Seriously, McCown and Moore will be their backups this year.
Corey (Chicago)
Which coach is on the hottest seat this year? I'd say Sean Payton
Pat Yasinskas (1:35 PM)
Wouldn't disagree at all. But I'd put Fox in there, too. He's never had back-to-back winning seasons, expectations are high and if the Peppers situation doesn't play out well, there will be a lot of fingers pointed at him.
Joe (New Mexico)
Pat any word on the NFC South legend Derrick Brooks? Where is he going?
Pat Yasinskas (1:36 PM)
He's saying he still wants to play. But we'll have to wait until after draft to see what his options are.
Jeff, Mpls
Better combo: Ryan to White, Jake the snake to Smith, or Brees to Colston?
Pat Yasinskas (1:36 PM)
Brees to Colston.
Randy (Gilbert, AZ)
Pat Steve Smith put his arm around Boldin at the pro-bowl and asked when he was coming to Carolina? So I don't think he would mind him there.
Pat Yasinskas (1:37 PM)
You ever spend any time around Smith? Trust me, wouldn't be a good fit.
Jonathan, NOLA
Pat I honestly believe the Saints will trade down with the Patriots in the 1st round...switch 14th to 23th and pick up the Patriots 2nd pick in the 2nd round that way the Saints could add an extra player. Belichick and Payton are very close and considering last years trade, have you heard any news on this? ~J
Pat Yasinskas (1:38 PM)
Not specifically on that one. But I think it's very possible Saints trade down.
Wes (New Orleans)
Does the league keep giving us home Monday night games to make up for the London game, or are they trying to help out the post-Katrina economy. The Saints have five home night games over 2008-2009 (4 Monday, 1 Saturday).
Pat Yasinskas (1:39 PM)
Saints have good national appeal because of Brees and to Reggie (more the name than the production with him).
John Madden
Pat, I'm retiring. You keep posting those questions and answering them, because you have to have questions and answers to have a chat, because that's how you have a chat. BOOM!
Pat Yasinskas (1:39 PM)
Best of luck, John.
Corey (Chicago)
Your thoughts on the new draft start time? Isn't it going to be a tough turnaround for teams from Sat to Sun?
Pat Yasinskas (1:40 PM)
Tough on teams, tough on the media, but it's all about television.
Ryan (Dallas)
Ok so we know the Bucs draft needs, but do they do anything else in FA or trades?
Pat Yasinskas (1:41 PM)
Yeah, they could add some FAs after the draft -- like guys who come available after draft. Also, good chance you see Kevin Carter return.
Jason, PA
Hey Pat, I'd like to see the Bucs take Laurinaitis to replace D Brooks, and then pick up Chris Baker, the DT from Hampton, in the later rounds. I know you as a PSU fan would know that Baker could play until JoePa booted him. I think Elbert Mack is good enough to start opposite Talib and Ronde can play the nickle. Mack looked good every opportunity he had last year and is a press style corner. Maybe we can pick up Derrick Williams in round 3. Your thoughts?
Pat Yasinskas (1:42 PM)
Love the Derrick Williams idea!! But I'm partial to Penn State.
Kevin: NOLA
Pat do you think Jerry from Ole Miss is a reach at 14? I know he is a little older of a prospect at 25, but he is explosive and I think he would look good in black and gold next to Ellis.
Pat Yasinskas (1:42 PM)
No, I don't think he's a reach at all and he would fill a very big need. Could happen.
michaal (shreveport, L.A)
Hey Pat, I?m a 15 year old, die hard saints fan and being spring break I finally can chat on a Friday. If the saints were to take Beanie at 14 all they would be doing is improving the offense, But even if they traded all the way down to the bottom of the 1st round and add a 2 and maybe a 3(because that?s about a 10-18 pick difference) They can draft any defensive player (OLB S CB DT) and still get a real power back in Jennings. This would improve both sides of the ball. P.S Your Blog inspired me in my future career, how do I pursue a career in sports writing/reporting. Sorry about the length had so many questions I?ll shorten them in the future. ?Thank You? (Dallas @ N.O Dec. 19 Geaux Saints!)
Pat Yasinskas (1:44 PM)
I like the idea of trading down, drafting a defensive player in first round and getting Jennings with the extra pick. As far as a career in sports reporting, run away from it now!!! Just kidding.
Nick (Tampa)
Hey Pat, any word on who has the inside track on the starting WLB position in Tampa, Geno Hayes or Jermaine Phillips?
Pat Yasinskas (1:44 PM)
Hang on until after the draft. They might not be done at LB.
Dave (Carlisle, PA)
Pat, What would Robert Meachem's trade value actually be? I can't see him commanding even a 4th rounder. Leftwich played very well for the Steelers. I hated to see him go especially to the Bucs. He came in on short notice and moved the chains. He has an absolute cannon when the O-line does it's job. He should win that job.
Pat Yasinskas (1:45 PM)
I think Saints will keep Meachem and give him another chance. Still lots of potential there.
Vance (Greensboro)
any NFC South buzz on Pat White, Graham Harrell and Nate Davis. (mainly for Panthers assuming Freeman is off the board by round 3)
Pat Yasinskas (1:46 PM)
No, nothing really on that.
Corey (Chicago)
Any chance ATL regresses this year? Their defense isn't that good and their OL isn't strong either.
Pat Yasinskas (1:46 PM)
Schedule's tough, too. But I think Smith is a good coach and Ryan's a great QB. They'll still be good.
Ethan (Indy)
Why did the Bucs bring in a new kicker when Bryant has so much history with the team? 63 yard gw field goal. Game of his life after his son passed away? doesnt he deserve more credit?
Pat Yasinskas (1:47 PM)
No argument here at all. Not sure what that's all about.
Tommy (Metairie,La)
Does Anthony Waters have a chance to contribute this year?
Pat Yasinskas (1:47 PM)
On special teams.
Nick Charlotte NC
Any Chance the Panthers pick up T.HOLT
Pat Yasinskas (1:47 PM)
No, let it go.
Ryan (Dallas)
Who's your sleeper in the draft this year?
Pat Yasinskas (1:48 PM)
Every Penn State kid.
michael (shreveport, L.A)
Saints working out knowshon any chance if they traded to 20 or so hed still be there and the could go Def in 2nd.
Pat Yasinskas (1:48 PM)
Don't rule it out with Payton. But I'd still go with defense.
Dave (Carlisle, PA)
I couldn't agree more, they have too much invested and there is too much upside. I was more interested on the reality check on his value than seeing him depart. I don't see teams lining up with attractive offers.
Pat Yasinskas (1:49 PM)
Meachem wouldn't fetch more than a 6th rounder. Hang onto him and see if he steps up.
vonte [via mobile]
do you think the panthers should keep peppers?
Pat Yasinskas (1:50 PM)
No, I think there will be a trade before -- or during the draft. Also, 10-minute warning on the chat.
Corey (Chicago)
Special occiasion: Salt Rock Grille or Bonefish?
Pat Yasinskas (1:51 PM)
Never been to Salt Rock. Bonefish is good.
Ryan (Dallas)
Saw you liked Derrick Williams at TB. Why? Thought he had a disappointing combine and he really isn't a "speedy" reciever right?
Pat Yasinskas (1:51 PM)
He's a Penn State guy. That's why I like him.
Mike Shrevport LA
Is it true Mark Brunell has about a $5 mill cap hit
Pat Yasinskas (1:51 PM)
Don't have my cap stuff in front of me. But that sounds reasonably accurate.
Sean (TR NJ)
Anyway of getting one answer to one of my plethora of questions? Are the Saints targeting anyone in particular during the draft for RB and are they eyeing any other FA for after the draft?
Pat Yasinskas (1:52 PM)
Think Rashad Jennings would be perfect if they could somehow get a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
Joe brandon fl
do you think tampa makes anymore moves via trade this off season? or do the go into next season as is with the draft?
Pat Yasinskas (1:53 PM)
Probably go with what they get out of draft. Already gave up a lot for Winslow.
Mike ShrevePort LA
Are You going to the saints Cowboys saturday game in DEC.
Pat Yasinskas (1:54 PM)
We haven't worked on our schedule yet, but I think it's very possible. Hoping I get the London game again.
Kelly Campbell - Bucs WR
Am I a starter this year?
Pat Yasinskas (1:55 PM)
Doubtful.
Mike L.A
IS drew brees a HOF
Pat Yasinskas (1:55 PM)
Few more good years and a few playoff wins, yes.
Joe (Roswell New Mexico)
Pat your time is up....why don't we go for a round of drinks at Lee Roy Selmon's Steakhouse?
Pat Yasinskas (1:56 PM)
No, I have more work to do this afternoon. The Proud Lion in Tampa is a possibility later tonight, though.
Corey (Chicago)
Where do you see Chucky resurfacing next year?
Pat Yasinskas (1:57 PM)
He'll be back in NFL. But let's wait to see who stumbles this year before saying where.
Nick Charlotte NC
what is your favorite resturant in Charlotte?
Pat Yasinskas (1:57 PM)
Frankie's.
Lloyd (Baton Rouge, LA)
Pat, if the Saints defense doesn't look improved this year, who's fault is it?
Pat Yasinskas (1:57 PM)
It'll fall squarely on Sean Payton. Two-minute warning on the chat.
tucson Az
You do know that Decoud is going to be a pretty good player? I dont see Atl picking a safety in the 1st round.
Pat Yasinskas (1:58 PM)
We'll see.
Miles (Orlando, FL)
Have the Bucs shown any specific interest in any corners in the draft? I haven't heard of them bringing any in for visits...
Pat Yasinskas (1:59 PM)
Visits don't mean a lot. Jenkins or Davis could be first-round possibilities.
mike LA
Rickey Jackson HOF and is Sam Mills known better as a panther or SAINT!
Pat Yasinskas (2:00 PM)
I think of Sam Mills as a Panther, but that's only because I worked in Carolina while he coached there. He contributed a lot to Panthers, but he spent most of his playing career with Saints. Great man.
Nick Charlotte NC
Enjoy the weekend Pat
Pat Yasinskas (2:00 PM)
Thanks. All of you enjoy the weekend, too. Thanks very much for stopping by. See you next week.
