New Jersey Nets' Devin Harris will stop by to chat on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET as a part of our 65 NBA chats in 65 days!
Jack (Midland,MI)
Your becoming one of the best all around talents in the NBA, does it bother you that you are in a losing atmosphere with your abilities to win?
Devin Harris (1:04 PM)
Yes, it bothers people. But it's part of our job. You just try to turn a losing situation into a winning situation.
Tim (Albany)
Who is the toughest point guard for you to match-up against?
Devin Harris (1:05 PM)
Probably Tony Parker because we're so much alike.
Sam (Dallas)
Why do you wear the #34?
Devin Harris (1:06 PM)
Tony Smith. He used to play with the Lakers back in the late '80s. And it's pretty much because of him.
tommie bolden (terre haute, indiana)
Do you agree that the caverliers will win the nba championship
Devin Harris (1:06 PM)
I think the Lakers will win.
Biaggio Uricoli (Howell, New ersey)
If the Nets did pick up Lebron James in the free-agent market, would you approve of it, and why?
Devin Harris (1:07 PM)
Definitely. For all sorts of reasons. He makes the team around you better. He's definitely an unselfish superstar and he'll attract other players. So he's an all-around great pickup.
Justin Behling (Boyceville, WI)
Who would you say is the best player in the NBA right now?
Devin Harris (1:07 PM)
It's a toss-up between Kobe and LeBron.
Justin Behling (Boyceville, WI)
Hey Devin, how well do you see the Badgers doing next season? Also, who do you think will win the Finals? Thanks
Devin Harris (1:08 PM)
They're always competitive in the Big Ten. Depending how well they gel is how well they'll do in the tournament.
Steiny (NYC)
Why do you credit Nets teammate Keyon Dooling with helping you improve your wardrobe, and looking the part of an NBA star?
Devin Harris (1:09 PM)
He's shown me different thing about fashion I didn't know about. He's just confident; he's a confidence-booster. He's just shown me a few things in that part.
Steiny (NYC)
Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
Devin Harris (1:10 PM)
Handful of people. Avery Johnson, Michael Finley, Dirk, Vince, Lawrence. They've all had different parts.
Steiny (NYC)
Is it true that you own over 400 pairs of sneakers, which you collect out of boredom?
Devin Harris (1:11 PM)
I think the last time I checked it was at 405. Just started that way. And when I got to the NBA and signed with Adidas, I started collecting the limited additions.
Tyler Minks (Loves Park, IL)
what do you think of the talent in the Nets young player like Lopez and CDR
Devin Harris (1:12 PM)
They have such upside. Brook is definitely coming on. People got to see what he can do this season. He can really be a superstar. He's a tremendous talent.
John (Seattle WA)
What first round playoffs series are you most excited to watch?
Devin Harris (1:13 PM)
Portland-Houston will be a good one. And Dallas-San Antonio will be, too. It always tends to be a good series between those two.
Dan (NY)
Who does the best job of defending you?
Devin Harris (1:14 PM)
It's usually more of a team than one person. Boston usually does a good job.
Kevin | Chicago IL
Right now on ESPN... Bulls are playing the Celtics tough. Can they win the series?
Devin Harris (1:14 PM)
No, I don't think so.
Steiny (NYC)
What was it like being named a reserve for the 2009 NBA All-Star Game?
Devin Harris (1:15 PM)
It was great; a tribute to the hard work in the summer. Coming into a new team and a new role -- I just try to relish it as much as I can.
Chance Staten Island, NY
What do you think the biggest shot of your life was?
Devin Harris (1:16 PM)
The buzzer-beater this year, probably. I also had a free throw in college to win a conference championship. So it's a toss-up between those two.
Steiny (NYC)
Do you see any similarities between your college coach Bo Ryan and your NBA Coach Lawrence Frank?
Devin Harris (1:17 PM)
Yeah, some. They're pretty different, but you can see some similarities.
Tom (Madison, WI)
I saw Snoop Dogg ranked your buzzer beater as the number 1 play of the year. Where does Snoop rank in your top 10?
Devin Harris (1:17 PM)
Five or six. I like Snoop.
Jordan (Slinger, WI)
Do you believe you are the Most Improved Player?
Devin Harris (1:18 PM)
I do.
christian (whb ny)
is there a player, past or present, that you would say you try and model your game after?
Devin Harris (1:19 PM)
Not really. I try to take bits and pieces from different players. Not one particular player.
Buzzmaster (1:19 PM)
Time for one more.
Steiny (NYC)
Would you say your sophomore year was your breakout season?
Devin Harris (1:20 PM)
Yeah, probably. That playoff run helped in that part.
Devin Harris (1:20 PM)
Thanks for everyone joining the chat. See you soon.
