We're getting James right now!
Buzzmaster (2:02 PM)
James is on the way back to his hotel from the team shoot around. We'll start up in about 10 minutes.
Buzzmaster (2:15 PM)
We've got James!
Andy (LA)
How cool is to play for a Mark Cuban team?
James Singleton (2:15 PM)
It's probably one of the best experiences that I've ever had. You have an owner that really cares about the team. He expects everyone to give 100%. I've never been around anything like this before.

I heard you were recently looking for a new corvette. Did u find your new baby?
James Singleton (2:16 PM)
I went to a place. I'm not looking for a new corvette. I just went to test drive it. I don't think I want to own one, though. Too dangerous. I drive too fast for that.

What Do You Think The Reason Is For The Team's Late Season Sucess?
James Singleton (2:16 PM)
Just focus. We had to take time to get our chemistry together and for everyone to know what we're capable of doing. We tried different lineups. It takes time.
Wayne/ Bham. Al. [via mobile]
Now that u have home court will this give u a extra boost to be more aggressive.
James Singleton (2:17 PM)
I don't think we took the homecourt advantage back. We had a good win in the first game. San Antonio is a great team with a great coach. We might have the momentum, but we can't relax.
Sam (Ohio)
When you play a basketball video game, are you always yourself?
James Singleton (2:18 PM)
Nah, I try to play with everybody else. One of my favorite teams to play with is Orlando.
Red (Atlanta)
Mid-Season many people counted you out. What moment lead to the turnaround for this season?
James Singleton (2:19 PM)
Everyone was counting us out. The broadcasters, reporters. But they have to understand that it's a new team. The players and a new coach. It just takes some time for it to come together. Luckily for us, we got it togheter for the playoffs.
Crawford (Dallas)
I have loved following you this year in your role off the Mavs bench, it seems like you are playing like it's your last chance. Has it been a long road, here?
James Singleton (2:20 PM)
It's been a long road. A very long road. I was overseas for my first few years. Then I came back and played for the Clippers. I thank them for the opportunity, but I got buried on the bench. I went back overseas to get my game back up. I got hurt, but I worked hard to come back. I never give up and I never give in. The Mavericks gave me another chance. I do play like it's my last chance. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Jon (NYC)
What was it like playing for the Armani team? How is your Italian?
James Singleton (2:21 PM)
It was fun. It was a lot of fun. Buying the suits. Buying the glasses. Some things that I wasn't used to. Playing for those teams, you have an owner that has a reputation. Kind of like Cuban. My Italian is OK. I can do bits and pieces.

how much of a relief is it not to worry about manu?
James Singleton (2:22 PM)
I think it's a relief to any team, not just us. He gives the Spurs the extra everything. Ginobli is like Howard is to us.
Allen Heckaman San Angelo Texas [via mobile]
How is it to work as the back up to Dirk?
James Singleton (2:23 PM)
It's fun. You never know how he's going to be. He comes into the lockerroom like a big kid every day. He comes in talking every day. I don't know if he's rapping in German. But he's always excited.
Arnie (Columbus, GA)
Coming from a small school, what was the biggest adjustment for you in the NBA? Do you think that was a bigger adjustment since you didn't come from a 'top conference?'
James Singleton (2:24 PM)
No, it wasn't really an adjustment. It's more mental than anything. You have a lot of guys coming in, high picks. Coming from a small school humbled me up. I had to work harder to get there. Not to say that they didn't work hard, but I had to work harder.
Russell (Cary, NC)
James, which Mavs players do you hang around with in your down time?
James Singleton (2:25 PM)
Different collection of guys. We try to hang out as much as possible. A lot of guys are married or have families. We also can't hang out that much at night because we have games and practice. But we hang out when we can in the lockerroom, playing pool, things like that.
Richard (Hoboken)
Who is the best player you've ever guarded?
James Singleton (2:26 PM)
There's not just one. When I was with the Clippers, it was Kobe, Carmelo, Dirk, Carter. I can't just name one, it's impossible. There are too many.
John indiana [via mobile]
How do you feel about this years playoff chances for the mavs compared to the last two seasons
James Singleton (2:27 PM)
I feel good about it. We have a different nucleus now. We have a different group of guys than before. We have Kidd, Dirk, Josh Howard, Jason Terry. Guys that have already been there. We have a good bench. That's really important for the playoffs.
Andy (Denver)
Who is your pick for MVP this year? (And you can't pick a Mav.)
James Singleton (2:27 PM)
There are only two people right now. For me, it's going to be Kobe or LeBron. They both have good records. Both guys are really good, man. I can't pick just one.
Crawford (Dallas)
Do you tweet? Do you make fun of Cuban for his twittering?
James Singleton (2:28 PM)
I just found out about the whole Twittering thing a couple of weeks ago. I haven't done it because I heard you had to be tweeting all day, every second. I'm not getting into that.
Chris Lansing MI
Do you guys think you can pull a upset against the spurs, and n he series?
James Singleton (2:29 PM)
I think we can. If everyone comes out focused and plays together. I think we can come out on top. But you can't take anything away from the Spurs. They have a great group of guys and a great coach. It will be an interesting series.
James Singleton (2:30 PM)
I appreciate the support. It's been an up and down season. I appreciate everyone sticking with us. Keep cheering for us.
