Matt from Arkansas
Who is the better athlete in their prime...Michael Conley Sr. or Jr.?
Mike Conley (11:02 AM)
That's a tough one but I would have to say Mike Conley Sr because he was able to jump a little bit higher than I can.
Andre (Bangor, ME)
Who do you think will be the most improved team in the league next season?
Mike Conley (11:03 AM)
I would say either the Thunder or hopefully the Grizzles.
Being a fellow guard, who's performance was better against the Celtics, Rose in Game 1 or Gordon in Game 2?
Mike Conley (11:04 AM)
I'll go with Rose in game 1 because he's rookie. Doing what he did was pretty amazing.
Fred (East Boston)
I've been having this debate since Saturday. Who do you think is harder to defend, Rose or Rondo?
Mike Conley (11:05 AM)
I'll say Rose. He's a lot stronger and athletic and get get to the basket. Rondo is quick but he's not a strong as Rose.
Riley (Feeding Hills, WY)
What was the bigger upset in Game 1 in your mind, the Bulls beating the Celtics, Sixers beating the Magic or the Rockets destroying the Blazers?
Mike Conley (11:06 AM)
I think the Bulls beating the Celtics was the biggest upset. They played hard and fought for that win against the defending champs.
What do the Pistons need to do to contain LeBron and beat the Cavaliers?
Mike Conley (11:07 AM)
It's really tough to contain LeBron. You have to put your best defender on him and then give them help. That's all you can really do.
Oscar (Kansas City)
Aside from hoping we get a pro team here in KC, I figure I should jump on a bandwagon for the playoffs. Who do you see making it to the Conference Finals from both the East and West?
Mike Conley (11:08 AM)
In the East, I like the Celtics and the Magic. In the West, I like Denver. Hopefully the Nuggets will turn it around.
Tahl (Memphis, Tenn.)
The West has a bunch of up and coming teams. I can see us (Memphis) making the playoffs next year. Aside from Memphis what non-playoff team do you think has the best chance of cracking into the playoffs, Clippers, T-Wolves, Thunder or Warriors?
Mike Conley (11:10 AM)
I think the Thunder and the T-Wolves are both young teams that made big improvements over the season and I think they will continue to grow and have a shot at the playoffs next season.
What match-up problems do you think you and OJ Mayo create for teams? Also what do you think you guys need to improve upon to make the playoffs next year?
Mike Conley (11:12 AM)
We're both quick and can get into the lane, so defenders have to play off of us. We also can make the outside jumper. We as a team need to work on finishing the game in the fourth quarter.
Hey Mike! I was wondering what was it like to finally play against your longtime friend Big Greg Oden in the NBA on different teams? Must have been something special for both of you.
Mike Conley (11:13 AM)
It was a great opportunity that we have been looking forward to for the past 1 1/2. We've always been on the same team so it was cool to finally get to play against it him on the biggest stage.
c.j. (Boyceville WI)
hey mike, what was the main factor in your improvement last summer, and what do you feel you need to work on this summer?
Mike Conley (11:15 AM)
The main improvement that I made was on my jump shot. Shooting of the dribble and just working hard on it everyday. This summer, I'm going to work on my conditioning and my overall game.
Grant Burke (Memphis, TN)
Mike, what do you feel like is the biggest thing standing between you and making an All-Star team? Is this one of your goals for yourself?
Mike Conley (11:17 AM)
It's definitely a goal for me to be an All-Star. Once we get this thing turned around here in Memphis and start winning games, I think a couple of us will have a chance at being All-Stars one day.
Justin Behling (Boyceville, WI)
How is Marc Gasol's game similar to his brother Pau's?
Mike Conley (11:18 AM)
I think they both can shoot the jumper, work with their back to the basket, and they can use both their left and right hands. Their very similar in many different ways.
Luke, Zanesville Ohio
Hey Mike, big fan. You are the best point guard I've ever seen at Ohio State. What are your fondest memories from your days in Columbus? Good luck and Go Bucks!
Mike Conley (11:19 AM)
The best memory I have is making it to the Final Four and making it to the championship game. All the support that we got from the fans was great. I will always say, that was the best time of my life!
Mike Conley (11:21 AM)
Thank you to all the fans for that the questions. Hopefully you will continue to supports us. I'm looking forward to a bigger and better season next year here in Memphis. Enjoy the playoffs!
