Dana Jacobson (9:55 AM)
morning all! hope you had a good weekend. this just in, brian windhorst of the cleveland plain dealer reporting lebron's getting the mvp this afternoon
Clay Adkins, Covington
Why do multi-million dollar guys that have giant egos always end up with growing teams?[Bills]
Dana Jacobson (9:56 AM)
clay, if TO is quiet, helps you win...will you still feel that way? if you see him as a problem guy, they end up there b/c they are talented and someone is almost always willing to take a chance on talent.
dre, new orleans, La [via mobile]
Do you think kobe vs Lebron, will be more of an hype for the media, Than jordan vs magic was in the 91' NBA finals?
Dana Jacobson (9:57 AM)
dre - i didn't cover 91, remember watching...but its hard to tell b/c things are turned around on this side of the camera. That being said, I do...especially with lebron getting mvp now
Eric (Ventura, CA)
Do the current AL Division leaders have a shot at October?
Moderator (9:59 AM)
1st down topics folks: -do the Mavs look done after 1 game vs. Denver?? -Grade D. Wade's performance in the Heat Game 7 loss to Atlanta -Are the Hawks legit???
Dana Jacobson (9:59 AM)
eric, royals i dont think so, grienke can't keep his pace up, they need another bat...blue jays don't think so but i thought they'd peter out b/f now..umm who else, oh yeah mariners yes.
Dana Jacobson (9:59 AM)
going to do tv folks
Hayden - Joliet, IL
The Bulls-Celtics series will be remembered as one of the greatest in NBA history. Somehow, though, what I remember is how dirty of a team the Boston Celtics are. I understand the play of both teams was physical, but the Celtics were just a big bully.
Umor (detroit mi)
I'm stilled bummed by the lucky goal by the ducks. As for lebron winning mvp. that garantees they are gonna lose in the finals.
Will (WV)
Denver is clearly the dominant team in the West. Regardless of all the hype with Kobe and the Lakers, the Nuggets are wining in impressive form!
Brandon(IL)
I am NOT a Celtics fan....but everyone seems to be writing them off because the Bulls game them a good series! How quickly we forget the Hawks took the celtics to 7 last year and that didn't seem to work out so bad for the C's
James Denver
Found ya. Dana they still have this labled very confusingly it says chat for monday everyday they need to work on website so idiots like me wont get lost
Matt(New Britain,CT)
what a surprise hayden, from IL and thinking the celtics are dirty
Scott (Colorado Springs)
The Mavs might as well wrap it up. Their bench was out playing the starts for the MAVS. You guys should interview THE BIRD MAN!
James Denver
Chauncey scores 6 points Melo doesnt get it going until late Dalas got all there spirit and heart ripped out Denver crushed them down the stretch. Denver in 5
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Denver is a great team, but I only see them winning one match up against the Lakers and that's at the point guard position.
Tony (VA)
Thank god for the weekend. Kyle Busch won the race, Ovechkin beat Crosby in game one and all the series in hockey is 1-1 besides the caps...
Moderator (10:09 AM)
Tony, you appear to be a very diverse sports fan...NASCAR AND hockey...nice mix...you're a Renaissance Man
Adam (Columbus, Ohio)
I wish Dwayne Wade was more consistent!!
Adam (Columbus, Ohio)
Moderator...you sounds surprised that someone can enjoy NASCAR and hockey. What's up with that?
Moderator (10:11 AM)
not shocked, mildly surprised...seems like an add mix to me, no?
Elisse (Michigan)
Skip is right about Joe D. We sorely miss C. Billups. This is Denver's series to lose.
Nate (San Antonio,TX)
What was the name of the website that the two guys created that had the Matt Stafford shirt with all the Lions QB draft picks on it?? I believe it was something like anithero or something.
Dana Jacobson (10:13 AM)
Nate was it the same as rebuildingsince57.com
Will (Hobart, IN)
I agree with Skip. Denever got the best end of the Chauncey deal. Mavericks are down in 5.
Jason (Morgantown, WV)
Chris "Birdman" Andersen is awesome. Glad to see him back and relevant.
Dana Jacobson (10:13 AM)
Will, only thing is each team wanted something different. pistons wanted cap space which they get now, we'll see what they do with it, then fully judge. but definitely helped denver
Matt(New Britain,CT)
sadly, the hawks have no shot, they are too full of themselves, ala josh smith's dunk.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Lebron and the Cavs are going to sweep the Hawks period.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
The Cavs are completely locked in, and are in Finals mode right NOW.
Michael (Minneapolis MN)
LeBron James is the NBA MVP because he makes his entire team better when his presence in on the court and on the bench chearing them on. Plus he is ungaurdable by one single player.
Andrew (Columbia, SC)
I wish Joe Johnson was more consistent.
Scott (Colorado Springs)
I think Lebron James deserves the MVP. Hands down he has taken the CAVS to the top. Hopefully he can finish this year with a Championship.
Dana Jacobson (10:15 AM)
adam, best chance for hawks on the road will be game one with a rusty cleveland team or even 2, with some letdown after lebrons mvp
James Denver
Now that some of you finally have watched Nuggets play for first time all year can you see there just as deep as Lakers. The Nuggrts bench has been playing amazingingly.
Jason (Morgantown, WV)
Skip has a man-crush on Joe Johnson.
Tony (VA)
Congratz t0 LEBRON. He deserves
James ( Avalon NJ )
The Mav's are toast, break the brooms out. As for D.Wades game 7 I'm gonna have to give him a 6, he looked completly drained from carrying the team for the last 6 games!
Adam (Dayton, Ohio)
Chauncey has already beaten Kobe in the Finals, I sure hope he can do it to LeBron this season!
Mark (Hawthorne, CA)
Bulls-Celtics is not the greatest round 1 series in NBA history. Two average teams that can't beat each other is not a great series. Any series where an 8th seed beats a one seed (Golden State over Dallas or my favorite Denver over Seattle in the early nineties)was a much better first round.
Aaron (Denver)
Hawks have a lot of young talent, Horford has to get healthy, if not no chance
Dana Jacobson (10:15 AM)
Mark, both great in their own right. I agree. I also remember a 5 game series where the knicks were the upset winner that was pretty damn good
James Denver
The long layoff might hurt Cleveland a little but realistically Hawks play good at home and should win at least one game in Atlanta.
Dana Jacobson (10:16 AM)
james, yes homecourt's key for em..but would love to see em take advantage of some rust and win game one, kind of shock the world
Michael (Minneapolis MN)
How likely do you think there is a chance that Brett Favre will consider playing for the vikings?
Jonathan (Atlanta, GA)
Skip is dead-on point! The Mavs have no chance in the series. The Nuggets are the most underrated team in the playoffs and their a #2 seed! They have leadership (Billups), a bench, reliable starters and (the missing ingredient) they're playing DEFENSE (Lord have mercy!!!).
Dana Jacobson (10:17 AM)
michael, very very unlikely. i think he'd need surgery first and i dont think he wants to do the rehab. i really do think he's done
Elisse (Michigan)
You're right, Dana. It remains to be seen. But, Joe D. basically sacrificed this season. We'll see what happens now that he has the cap space.
Dana Jacobson (10:17 AM)
thanks Elisse, everyone deserves some love monday morning...
Umor (detroit mi)
Why does rob keep saying kobe not gonna be happy unless wins a championship by himself. he got paul g. bynum, he got weapons around him.
Dana Jacobson (10:17 AM)
umor it's a reference to shaq as you know. he's the man on this team, shaq was the man when both were there
Aaron (Denver)
Dana, I completely agree. In Joe D's mind this trade is not complete until the salary cap is cleared and he can go to work again.
Dana Jacobson (10:18 AM)
aaron, thank you too and yes i'm done posting compliments to me...
Nate (San Antonio,TX)
I looked at the website you suggested DJ and that wasn't it. That was a funny website but not it. The shirt I am talking about was gray (or is it grey) it said Stafford on the front and looked like a Ford logo which yall mentioned.
Dana Jacobson (10:18 AM)
sorry nate, don't know..anyone else out there send it in we'll try to put it up
Kevin (El Paso)
Hatton in six..oops, my bad.
Dana Jacobson (10:18 AM)
kevin, nice
Pat (Denver)
Cleveland wins but wont sweep could go 6, remember what they did to the Celts last year, if they can get/stay healthy they make it a tough series for cleveland
Dana Jacobson (10:19 AM)
pat good point and have more experience this year, are playing better. ok gotta go do more tv, back soon
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
I said the Cavs would sweep the Heat and take Atlanta in 5. Atlanta is the team I didn't want to see in the playoffs, they are very athletic. If we have to play Wally a lot of minutes, we will get taken to 6 or 7 games.
Dana Jacobson (10:19 AM)
kerry, i think you mean sweep detroit and then the rest..
Brian -Dover, DE
Joe Dumars is one of the NBA's best GM's. The Iverson-Billups trade was made 4 the future.Pistons have cap room to sign ANYBODY.
Drew (Richardson, TX)
I think the Mavs need to be given a little more credit since 2 starters were out for most of the game and when they were in mavs were up by 10
Dana Jacobson (10:20 AM)
Drew you have a point but man, denver looked good - that bench being able to support them like that, huge
Jonathan (Atlanta, GA)
Let me say one thing about the Hawks/Cavs match up. The Hawks plays to the level of their competition. That's why they looked so bad against the Heat and looked so competitive last year against the Celtics. Look for a competitive series with the Cavs winning in 6 games but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes to 7 (the Hawks will at least win two games)
Brandon (IL)
I think the question here is why in a billion dollar business why are they running practices under a tent? Let alone in a storm!!!
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Mike Bibby cannot hang with a locked in Mo Williams. Mo will be the ex factor.
Kevin (El Paso)
Miami Heat? More like Miami Wade, when are they going to get him some help down there?
Aaron (Denver)
Manny Paq-WOW! I was shocked at the one punch power he displayed at 140...impressive
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
How good would Atlanta be though if Josh Childress didn't jump to Greece for the dollars?
Jason (Morgantown, WV)
Pacquiao v/s Mayweather please!!
Adam G. Tampa, FL
D Wade is injured Skip he doesn't quit! How can you say that as his supposed (self proclaimed) number 1 fan? D Wade could not do it himself period.
Aaron (Denver)
Best point Denver made is the can win without riding Chauncy. If Nene continues playing like this they will be dangerous...even for LA
Ryan (Wilmington DE)
Bibby is just warmin up dude, he runs an excellent game and have a nasty handle.
Mike indianapolis
Pretty boy is the best defensive fighter we have seen him vs. Pacman will not be a knockdown dragout like people want Floyd would pick Pac Man apart he is not gonna walk in like hatton have any of us seen Floyd bleed? Pab Man has and he cant hit Floyd because he wont take the bait.A fish would stay alive if he just kept his mouth closed.
Dana Jacobson (10:30 AM)
i gotta say it can you all believe the cowboys stuff? that was unreal. if you get a chance check out i think it's wfaa's webstie also dallas morning news pics of jerry jones surveying damage
Michael (Jackson, MS)
I'm in Atlanta for at least 6-8 games a year, and there's no way Bibby can even slow down Mo W. That's a wish.
Jonathan (ATL, GA)
Brian...you gotta be joking?! Joe Dumars is one of the worse GMs in the league. Billups still has a lot in the tank and least we forget his pick of Darko over Melo, Chris Bosh & D-Wade (next to Portland's Bowie over Jordan, one of the worse picks in NBA history).
Adam G. Tampa, FL
How will Denver's bigs match up against LO, Gasol, and Bynum? Denver has nice ingredients; a strong bench and lots of energy guys, but LA has the number 1 ex factor and thats coach Phil Jackson. I just don't trust George Karl's style of play sometimes.
Steven (Philadelphia, PA)
Now I'm about to commit a sin & agree with Skip (YES, you may alert the media.....*LOL*) & say that this will be the Hawks best chance to steal a road game, considering that Cleveland hasn't played in a week, plus LeBron getting his MVP trophy.
Ryan (Wilmington DE)
Pacman is the greatest right now, I'd love to see him fight Mayweather.
James Denver
I hate to say it hate to kick things when there down but what NBA players are lining up to sign with Detroit.
Michael (Minneapolis MN)
If Kurt Warner can bring the cardinals to the superbowl, why cant Brett Favre do the same for the Vikings.I think Brett's better than Kurt and the Vikings are all around better than the Cardinals.
Julius (springfield ma)
even kobe knows nobody can win a ring by themselves.he wants to be the main guy of course but he knows not even JORDAN won rings by himself he always had good teams with the bulls and the best coach in phil jackson
Dana Jacobson (10:31 AM)
James having worked in a city where no one wanted to go..money speaks. the team is still good, guys will go. i dont think its an old sac or memphis deal
Brian- Dover, DE
Skip, everybody from Detroit loves Billups and we all are rooting 4 him. Dumars has all of confidence. Pistons will be back. And we wont need the lottery.
Drew (Richardson, TX)
Sad situation, originally media reported that he wouldn't be paralyzed, now he is, imagine the rollercoaster ride for friends and family
Dana Jacobson (10:32 AM)
Drew i actually never heard that he wouldn't. I know they reported Decamillis wouldn't be paralyzed, could that have been it? Also as always in situations like that, so much info is flying at you, some good some bad. sadly misreporting does happen
Justin (Princeton, NJ)
He Dana, Im wondering if you think the Celtics will be too worn out for tonights game? Or do you think no time off is actually a good thing, to avoid being rusty?
Mike indianapolis
Carl Crawford just stole my wallet LOL
Dana Jacobson (10:33 AM)
Justin, i'm mixed on that. Celtics got the you know what kicked out of them in some of those games and they're already short benched. (my version of short handed, like it?) So I think it'll hurt a bit...BUT cavs have had too much time. you need something in between!!
Julius (Springfield Ma)
i think that thing in dallas will bring some good team chemistry to the cowboys especially with T.O. GONE
Scott (Colorado Springs)
Dana that is some scary stuff. At least it was a bubble tent and not something that could have been heavier. But if it wasn't a bubble tent it might have with standed the wind.
Aaron (Denver)
Mike from Indy, I agree, but Floyd hates constant pressure, watch the first Castillo fight and he has not fought anyone with Manny's speed in years...which is what destroyed Hatton
tony (VA)
HOW BOUT THE PREFORMANCE BY CRAWFORD YESTERDAY!!! 6 bases that is CRAZY!!!!!!
Dana Jacobson (10:34 AM)
Julius, you never want a tragedy to happen. If there is good to come of this, i think you're right in a bonding sense, especially among rookie and then the rest of the team, being there for beam and the other coaches
Moderator (10:34 AM)
anyone surprised he got credit for a steal that one time he took 3rd without a throw down and no one even covering the base?
James Denver
All 3 of Skips heros quit this post season. Manu knew his Spurs were old had no chance so he just didnt show. CP3 lost by 58 points and quit on team. D Wade decded he has to do to much in teams final game of season and starts turning Kobe yelling at teamates on the floor and then quits down the stretch.
Drew (Richardson, TX)
As cool as it would be Favre isn't coming back b/c he would need surgery and learn another teams offense.
Brian (Dover)
Bibby and Williams are a wash. The real factor is the hawks keeping Lebron out of the paint. If they can, its a series.
Mike indianapolis
PacMan bleeds Ive seen it Floyd doesnt he only got all this love because flod is gone.
Umor (detroit mi)
Billips got us a championship. he'll always be a piston to me. Always supported the shock. was at the shock games with his daughters.
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
Dana, No, I was talking 2nd round opponent. Sorry, should have been more clear...
Dana Jacobson (10:35 AM)
Kerry that's ok, wasn't certain.
Donny (Boston)
No time off for the Celtics can't hurt them that much, Ray Ray has been on fire and can stay in his nice streak and the bench hasnt been a huge factor yetm so they're just starting to get their groove. the only player that needs a break might be Pierce
Ryan (Wilmington DE)
Dana- Star Trek or Wolverine?
Dana Jacobson (10:36 AM)
ryan, wolverine
Scott (Colorado Springs)
Hey Dana, you guys should interview The Bird Man. Seems like he has come a long way, reminds me of Josh Hamilton.
Dana Jacobson (10:37 AM)
Scott, good suggestion. I think we may have tried for him b/f. players are tough during playoff series and the further they go the harder it is to get em. but i'll throw it out there.
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
Wow, heard of different prices for a jersey number but what Darrent Williams mom asked and what Knowshon is giving, kind of makes you want to root for the rooking doesn't it?
Dana Jacobson (10:37 AM)
Kerry, I didn't hear, what's the deal?
Drew (Richardson, TX)
Ya i'm not blaming media in any way, they originally mentioned only one serious injury (name not disclosed at the time) which had broken vertebrae) but not serious enough to be paralizing.
Dana Jacobson (10:38 AM)
Drew i think that was decamillis b/c he did have broken vertebrae. i do remember hearing only one serious injury though...i knew you weren't blaming, thanks for the clarification though
Mike indianapolis
Star trek because my BUCKEYE LOVE cannot allow me to say wolverine
Dana Jacobson (10:38 AM)
mike, come on now!!!
James Denver
This is one thing you shouldnt even try to put posative spin on. Who cares about rookie bonding a man will never walk again.
Dana Jacobson (10:39 AM)
James, I disagree. No one wanted a tragedy like this we're saying what might come out of it. You can't change what happened you can control how you respond. It's not a positive spin as much as how you respond
Adam G. Tampa, FL
The Cavs would have swept the Heat so I'm going with a sweep against Atlanta, with maybe ATL winning game 3.
Michael (Jackson, MS)
Brian in Dover, Mo averages 18 pts/gm, shoots 43.6% from 3 pt, and 91.2% FT. Bibby averages 14.9 pts/gm, shoots 39% from 3 pt, and 79% FT. How can anyone think they're a wash?
Jason (Morgantown, WV)
Mayweather/Pacquiao would look like a blurry Matrix fight. So much speed.
Michael (Minneapolis MN)
Alex Ovechkin's highlights on sportscenter have made me become a little bit of a fan of hockey(Im only watching the Capitals,Penguins series. Gotta take it one step at a time).
Moderator (10:46 AM)
he's the Dominique Wilkins of the NHL
Tyler ( Philly )
I must admit as an Eagles fan I was alittle upset when the Birds didn't make a move for Boldin.... Well let me tell ya after seeing J.Maclin live for the first time I am no longer upset. That kid is gonna be special.
T.C. Tampa, FL.
I got a phone call from Ricky Hatton today, he was looking for directions. He still didn't know where he was at.
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
He has to work at the Darrent Williams center in Denver 2 days a month. I guess it's a center for inner-city youth.
Mike indianapolis
Floyd destroyed Hatton as well sorry but Floyd no matter what you say has never lost. Sorry Aaron but Manny has never fought anyone with Moneys speed and defense.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
You guys are sleeping on Mo Williams this guy is a beast. Best facilitator in the East.
Dana Jacobson (10:47 AM)
KErry, i love that to be honest. Do you remember the texans who did the numbers switch and the payout was buying a house for a single mom (part of a foundation). Like that a lot more than here's money for a number.
Dana Jacobson (10:48 AM)
kerry, who was it between knowshown moreno and whom? sorry i'm too lazy to go look on wires
Kinard Hudson Chicago Laker Land IL
Dear Mr. Skip Bayless i remember maybe a couple of yrs ago you said when ever Lebron James hit a game winner you'll dance on top of that table guess what he did hit one this yr against the golden state warriors my only thing to you is get the dancing but since it's you that would never happen ps lakers will be your cavs in 5 games
Dana Jacobson (10:48 AM)
Kinard skip used some ridiculous excuse like since we all believed he'd already done it, he didn't have to..but you are right
Zach Pittsburgh PA
I dont think LeBron should have got the MVP, it should have been D-Wade. This is an individual award for a player with better stats and a player who makes their team better. I think it was hyped too much this year!
Tony (VA)
Where's Barry Melrose this rainy monday morning. All the craziness in the NHL playoffs. ovie beat Crosby, Anaheim and Detroit 3 overtimes and Cam Ward shutout a potent Bruins line up.
Dana Jacobson (10:49 AM)
tony barnaby's coming up in hour number 2...damn ducks!!!
Mike indianapolis
I hope Mike Bibby and his team is ready for the KING seeing as he is a former Queen from Sacramento LOL its prom season we all know how queens get done.
Moderator (10:49 AM)
anyone thinking the Royals, Mariners, Blue Jays and Marlins can hang on to their division leads?
Dana Jacobson (10:49 AM)
Shaq is that you??? I mean Mike..remember that from back in the day
Jason (Morgantown, WV)
Hollinger Player Efficieny Rating has Williams and Bibby a wash in the regular season, and Bibby much better in the playoffs. ;-)
Dana Jacobson (10:50 AM)
nice jason
Brian (Dover)
Put Bibby on KING JAMES team and he would at least equal those numbers. I like Mo, but he benefits from Lebron alot.
Dana Jacobson (10:50 AM)
brian, i'm a big bibby fan. watched him play, watched him grow, got to know him in sac...and i think he'd get more credit on another team
James ( Avalon NJ )
I usually bet on longshots and lose, Mine That Bird hooked daddy up! 50$ on that horse made me have a great weekend!!!
R Mom (Spring Valley, NY)
I swear!!! hours before the race, I was thinking if I were in Kentucky I would bet $50 dollars on all the horses with 50-1 odds.
Ryan (Wilmington DE)
Dana- Do you think Stafford's making to much chedder?
Dana Jacobson (10:51 AM)
ryan, yes!!
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Dana, with Mike talking horse racing nonsense. Let's talk about a real sport. Who do you have making the Final 4 in lacrosse?
Dana Jacobson (10:52 AM)
calvin - syracuse, johns hopkins, maryland, and duke.
Dana Jacobson (10:52 AM)
how'd you like that calvin?
Michael (Minneapolis MN)
First take sure doesnt talk about hockey much. Why is that?
Dana Jacobson (10:52 AM)
Michael, the hockey lovers here try to get as much in as we can, it's a tough battle
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Dana I bet your happy for your boys Hedo and Bibby shining on other squads. SOrry about your other friend Brad Miller getting roughed up haha.
Dana Jacobson (10:53 AM)
adam, brad miller was in the post dana sac era
Michael (Jackson, MS)
Zach, if the MVP was truly the Most Valuable Player award, nobody would ever win it outside of CP3. All any basketball fan has to do is watch the Hornets play without him and they'll agree. The Hornets wouldn't win 25 games without him.
Mike indianapolis
Mo williams is just as good as Mike Bibby was with C Webber without a star they are average at best.
Dana Jacobson (10:54 AM)
michael it's the enver endnig debate...most valuable to your team or best player... it'll never really be answered
Tony (VA)
Sorry Dana. I fell asleep yesterday afternoon while watching the Ducks and Wings game (late Night on saturday at Richmond) but saw that it was a great game. But sorry again Im rooting for the ducks so the caps will have n easier game if they make the cup finals. No one wants to c the Wings against their team in the Finals
Dana Jacobson (10:54 AM)
tony you're killing me!!! i want wings-caps. my bro is in DC, i'll be there and try to get to the joe too!
Jason (Morgantown, WV)
I have Syracuse, Duke, Cornell, and Princeton in Lacrosse.
Dana Jacobson (10:55 AM)
Jason - isnt it a requirement that johns hopkins be there???
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
The Blue Jays are going to the World Series, but I didn't like Mike calling them bottom feeders. The Blue Jays didn't come in last last year and before last year, the Rays finished last every year they were in the league except for one. The Rays are the bottom feeders not the Jays, if you are going to give that label to a team in the AL East.
Aaron (Denver)
Marlins have the best shot, one word...Pitching...and Hanley Ramirez
Dana Jacobson (10:58 AM)
kerry, i see that williams mom said ok to the number stuff...really makes it better.
Dana Jacobson (10:59 AM)
any interested in more on williams/moreno http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4126694
Aaron (Denver)
Disappointments...how do you not mention the Cubs. The bullpen is like quick start charcoal right now.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Big Papi is struggling without my boy Manny there.
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Mr. Moderator, I didn't like that cheap shot on Ovechkin calling him Dominique Wilkins on skates. Unlike Wilkins, Ovechkin doesn't consider himself a one-man team and he does care more about winning than personal stats. He cannot help it that the Caps stink in goal. Leading the comeback vs the Rangers proves Ocechkin cares about winning a championship.
Moderator (11:04 AM)
you don't think 'Nique cared about winning???
Brian (Dover)
Bluejays in the Series! Did they clone Joe Carter? Will Wild Thing Williams close every game against them?
Michael (Jackson, MS)
Calvin, did you ever actually see Nique play in person? That was a compliment.
Moderator (11:07 AM)
3rd down.. who wins Rockets v. Lakers who wins Celts v. Magic
Bob (Elwood)
The Cubs are 2 games over .500 and havent hit yet - how is that a disappointment?
Tristan Pierce (Palm Bay, FL)
Dana, have you seen the new X-men movie yet?
Dana Jacobson (11:09 AM)
Tristan no not yet
Tom (River North)
If anyone thinks their teams is going to have an easy time against the Ducks, they haven't been watching hockey.
Mike Hill (11:10 AM)
Who wins the Rockets/Lakers series?? How bout the Magic/Celtics.....I like the Lakers in 6...I'm taking the Magic in 7...yes, Orlando winning IN BOSTON in a game 7
Dana Jacobson (11:10 AM)
Tom who said that? Not I for one. what a great first 2 games
Aaron (Denver)
Disappointing in the bullpen, see Marmol's control and the middle relief. I like 2 over .500 considering, but compared to expectations, disappointing.
Dana Jacobson (11:10 AM)
aaron, wasn't that the problem last year?
jeremy (gj co)
lebron is overrated! what has he done? give the MVP to the player that helps his team win it all not just win in the relular season
justin ((ohio))
Lakers take the Rockets in 5..and hopefully the Magic take the Celts in 7
Jason (Morgantown, WV)
I'm with Mike Hill on those picks.
Umor (detroit mi)
I got Lakers in 7 and magic in 5.
Dana Jacobson (11:11 AM)
jeremy one flaw in this plan...its a regular season award
Pat (Denver)
Lakers in 5 or 6 Magic in 6
Bob (Elwood)
Dana, I saw you on Dinner Impossible. How was Robert Irvine? He seems like an interesting character
Mike indianapolis
Beacuse the cubs are the yankees of the NL
Dana Jacobson (11:11 AM)
Bob, a little insane, very hyper, pretty nice
Tony (VA)
LAKERS WIN MAGIC WIN
jeremy (gj co)
Maybe you all should get on the Nugget bandwagon before it leaves you in the dust
Jason (Morgantown, WV)
Lakers over Rockets, and I'm going on record and calling Magic over Celtics.
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
Calvin couldn't have ever seen Nique play. Dude, you missed another great player who just couldn't get out of Jordan's shadow.
R Mom (Spring Valley, NY)
With no manny--Ortiz is not the Manny!! Yankees-Red Sox in the new Yankee Stadium for the first time! 7:00 p.m. can't come fast enough!
Brandon (IL)
The Cubs are 3 1/2 out and they have had un-real starts out of Soriano and Fukudome....no way those two keep hitting the way they have all year! Cubs could be in trouble
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Dana, back to lacrosse. You cannot have Syracuse and Maryland in the Final 4. If both teams win in first round, they play each other in the quarterfinals.
Jarrod (Tuscaloosa, AL)
Lakers over Rockets in 5, and Celts over Magic in 6
Mike indianapolis
The Celtics are gonna beat ORL in 6
R Mom (Spring Valley, NY)
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL), you thought that Dominique Wilkins-Ovechkin comparison was meant to be disparaging?! I think the Moderater meant he makes it entertaining...I mean come on...its hockey. It gets me to watch, highlights anyway, and I am no hockey fan.
Dana Jacobson (11:12 AM)
Calvin, I was going off the top of my head...sorry haven't seen a bracket. Was gonig based on nothing but history and pure speculation.
Moderator (11:13 AM)
yes, R Mom, I meant it as a compliment...
Brian (Dover)
Hate to say it, but maybe Big Papi stopped juicing? Now just Big Pap fly.
Dana Jacobson (11:13 AM)
brian, no shot he was juicing
john (pa)
where can i find the video of the women fighting at the high school softball game?
Michael (Jackson, MS)
Mike, I'm disappointed in you. You've actually bought into the hype. I'll take Boston in 6. Philly shouldn't have even been in a playoff situation, and they could have beaten Orlando with a couple breaks. I love Howard, but Orlando will choke.
Dana Jacobson (11:13 AM)
john, my guess you tube
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Lakers in 6. Magic in 6. The Magic will be too physical and Rashard Lewis and Hedo's jumpers will be wet all series long.
Aaron (Denver)
Dana, no last year they simply choked the playoffs where Soriano's big swing got exposed and the hitters gripped sawdust off their bats. Marmol and Wood were lights out in 8 & 9 and Howry was solid in 5-7.
Mike indianapolis
Mike Hill you are re hashing Penny Hardaway memories Orlando dont have a shot
Aaron (Denver)
MH! Like the Magic pick over the Lebrons....just cause I am a hater.
Dana Jacobson (11:14 AM)
thanks aaron, it all blends together. couple years ago closer by committee maybe? too many teams!!!!!!! too many sports!!!!!!
Brian (Dover)
Dominique played in the east with Boston, Detroit, and Chicago. Those teams won the east for like ten years in a row. no room for Nique.
Kelly (Texas)
Celtics in 6? I wouldn't be surprised to see Orlando win it in 5! Dwight Howard is gonna have a field day in the paint...just look at the problems Boston had with Joakim Noah, he is not even a tenth of the Offensive force Howard is and will be against Boston!
James Denver
Wolverine was a no show for his firsttake interview friday so I was a no show for his movie this weekend
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
Calvin, Caps stink in Goal? Simeon Varlamov is the man.
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Let's consider this though. The Celtics were pushed to seven games by the number seven seed in a weak conference. Does that mean anything to anyone?
Dana Jacobson (11:15 AM)
james, woverine was here. there was a mixup in our time slot. not his bad.
Donny (Boston)
Ortiz is not the Manny?? what does that mean!? the Sox don't want another Manny!besides the hitting that is
Rene (Mesa, AZ)
Hello Dana. It's only one game, but what are the chances that Detroit actually loses this series?
Jay ( Philly )
To call the Celt's Bulls series the "Greatest series ever" just shows that good taste and a sence of sports history died with polyester suits!!!
jeremy (gj co)
i say orlando in 6, cleveland in 6, lakers in 6 and Nuggets in 5
Mike indianapolis
Only thing alexander the 8 and dominique have in common is they are bot human highlight films
Moderator (11:15 AM)
bingo Mike, hence the analogy
Dana Jacobson (11:16 AM)
Rene...50%. seriously, its a 1-1 series. ducks aren't the bluejackets....if hiller keeps it up in goal. that was insane yesterday
jeremy (gj co)
boston is weak, and weakened even more becuase of that physical 1st round agains chicago
Moderator (11:16 AM)
No KG is kind of a downer too, Jeremy
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Dominique Wilkins was the most selfish player in the history of the NBA. He was all show and no substance. Ovechkin is nothing like that.
Brandon (IL)
The only reason the Ducks are an 8 seed is cause they take so many penalties....when they cut down on penalties and/or kill penalties they are deadly
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
BEFORE Manny, Big Papi was David Ortiz, Manny, becomes Big Papi, After Manny? He's David Ortiz...
Brian (Dover)
Lakers in 6...Boston in 7. Mike Hill crazy...boston NEVER WILL LOSE GAME 7 AT HOME
Joey (Florida)
finally a true journalist to combat with Skip...hurray Espn for getting Rob Parker back on! No more ex Athletes or current althetes or b celebrities that can't have a separate opinion like skip and rob have. they always have a relationship with the topics so they can't really be honest ever
Adam G. Tampa, FL
I watch no hockey but know that Ovechkin is a beast with the puck
jeremy (gj co)
and yes w/o kg they are not the same
Ryan (Ohio)
Cleveland in 6??? Are you kidding? Atlanta can't win in Cleveland
Aaron (Denver)
It's not the lack of Juice slowing Ortiz down, it's father time and a culmination of nagging injuries over the last two years
Brian (Dover)
Dana, I didnt think A-Rod was juicing...did you? Everybody is suspect to me.
Dana Jacobson (11:19 AM)
Brian, aarod much more believable than big papi to me
Tony (VA)
HOLD ON Calvin. R u trying to tell me that VARLAMOV stinks in GOAL!!! DID YOU NOT SEE THE SAVE HE HAD ON SID THE KID ON SATURDAY. WOW yes Jose THREE-Or-MORE did stink but this kid is GREAT! He has won a couple of games for us in that Rangers series.
Michael (Jackson, MS)
Johnny, did you forget last year? Everyone is talking crap about the Celts, but has everyone forgotten that the Hawks took them to 7 last year? This years Bulls were WWWAAAYYY better than last years Hawks.
Michael (Minneapolis MN)
With Garnett out, the Celtics dont have a chance or an answer for Howard.
justin(ohio)
The Rocket really dont have a chance to beat the Lakers, but its the playoffs anything could happen.
Lakers
We want the Celtics again....but we can already hear the Garnetts not healthy excuses
Rene (Mesa, AZ)
Jeremy I agree with your NBA predictions except your Orlando pick. Boston in 7
Drew (Green Bay)
Is Garnett having an effect on the game? Is he talking too much trash to the other team?
Adam G. Tampa, FL
All of Big Papi's boys all left the Red Sox. Coco Crisp, Alex Cora.... that Ramirez guy
Matt(New Britain,CT)
the celtics have a legit shot at the title. Based on the playoffs, the bulls are better than the magic, celtics in 5 or 6.
jeremy (gj co)
and this steroid thing been going on for so long, why dont they just make every player use, then at least you know it is a level playing field
matthew (bay area)
Will Skip congratulate KING James, or no
Robert (Cali)
look who cares if a rod juiced give the guy credit for being the only "MAN" in the mlb to admit he messed up. there is always gonna be "that guy" that does something somewhere that we all hear about. how many of your kids drink an energy drink to get a boost ??? ( seems like a step in the juicing directions if you want to get that technical)
R Mom (Spring Valley, NY)
Cleveland in 6?! Atlanta can't win in Cleveland!? Atlanta can't win in Atlanta where Cleveland is concerned!!!!
Dana Jacobson (11:23 AM)
Robert - are you comparing a red bull to injecting yourself with a steroid? I agree that so many guys were doing it, why does he get singled out. BUT an energy drunk is like drinking coffee...not juicing
Dana Jacobson (11:24 AM)
Robert, and last i checked other than folks with heart problems is caffeine linked to health problems
Dana Jacobson (11:24 AM)
Robert, i should say in normal amounts not 20 red bulls a day
Moderator (11:24 AM)
4th down: who would win a Pacquiao/Mayweather fight?? Calvin Borel's ride on Mine that Bird...great trip or just lucky??
Drew (Richardson, TX)
MAN? he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, ya big props for admitting guilt after you're caught
Rene (Mesa, AZ)
To make every player use ped's would be the most irresponsible thing MLB could ever do. It's not about a level playing field entirely it's about protecting what's sacred about baseball in the first place and that's the records.
Pat (Denver)
anyone else bothered by the fact that congress is getting invovled w/ the BS, I mean BCS, dont they have more important things to worry about than sports
Dana Jacobson (11:25 AM)
Pat, yes. I've finally had enough of government interference.
Russell (Rochester, NY.)
LeBron can have his MVP and all the regular season recognition he wants. but he still lacks the mental toughness it takes to win in the playoffs.. That's Why Come June, Kobe will be the one holding the only trophy that matters. and LeBron will be sent home to bask in his personal glory.
Robert (Cali)
dana does the energy drink give you and edge over the next guy ? if it does then it is really the same thing
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Who made this "Beat Up On Calvin Day."
Dana Jacobson (11:25 AM)
Robert, I don't .
James Denver
Why arent you defending that crazy stalker Selena Roberts now Dana. Even through your defend all women no matter what glasses you can see shes crazy tabloid jounalist?
Moderator (11:26 AM)
You're right Calvin...cease and desist on Calvin gang.....can't we all just get along?
Jason (Morgantown, WV)
Mayweather wins over Pacman in a unanimous decision, but takes his licks.
Dana Jacobson (11:26 AM)
James, to start with I didn't see someone post on her. Also, I still haven't read her book. And I don't defend all women I argued with the premise that selena wrote a book b/c arod turned her down, didn't want to get with her, however it was put by many folks out there
Rene (Mesa, AZ)
Pacquiao defeats Mayweather in 7. Manny just fighting so well right now, but it would take longer to get to Floyd Jr.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
It does come down to the 3's Skip. We know D Howard will lock down the paint. Hedo and Rashard Lewis are no joke Skip.
R Mom (Spring Valley, NY)
Red Bull or Crunk juice (well maybe Crunk juice) equivalent to steroids? That's just Crazy!
Ryan (Ohio)
Mayweather beats paquieno with ko in 4th round easily
elisse (detroit)
i want orlando/cleveland in the east final
Dana Jacobson (11:27 AM)
I think the whole ped debate is a tough one. Is lasik surgery a ped? I don't think so.
Brandon (IL)
Robert....energy drinks are legal....that's a pretty big difference....you don't have to order energy drinks from the Dominican Republic with a needle
Aaron (Denver)
Mayweather wins in 8-10, he solves the Pac-Man puzzle with straight rights. He is too big and his speed will shock Manny.
Demetric (Orlando)
Why can't the Atlanta Hawks get no respect, mark my words Joe Johnson is not going to sit by and watch the "corination" of King James....Hawks win Game 1
Kelly (Texas)
Atlanta wins one game.....maybe! I am not a Cleveland fan but watching Lebron James he is undeniably incredible!
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
Calvin made it 'Beat up on Calvin Day' If we didn't like him we'd ignore him...
Moderator (11:32 AM)
nothing worse than indifference, you're right there Kerry
Curtis (Houston)
It would be a great fight, but as Teddy Atlas would say, Mayweather is the better "technical boxer". He just has too much skill to lose to Pac-Man.
Brian (Dover)
If ATL can steal a game in Cleveland, ther could be the NBAs version of Mine That Bird.
mike (cleveland)
are you kidding? after winning the mvp lebron is gonna b very pumped up and plus umm cleveland does not lose at home in case you didnt know
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Mine that Bird was pretty shocking to me. Borel is a great rider , but what were the other jockeys doing?
Demetric (Orlando)
The regular season means nothing now....If Lebrick James needs that mvp trophy to get pumped up, then the Hawks are going to crush them. Game 1 Hawks, Game 2 Cavs, Games 3 & 4 Hawks, GAme 5 Cavs...Game 6 Hawks
Steven (Philadelphia, PA)
Atlanta-Cleveland: Cavs in 6 Orlando-Boston: Magic in 6 Houston-LA Lakers: Lakers in 6 Dallas-Denver: Nuggets in 5
James Denver
If the Pac Man were American he would be considered one of the greatest ever. He is going to crush Mayweather like he did the Golden boy and Hatton. Hes stronger fater and smarter fighter then Mayweather it will be em barrassing.
Rene (Mesa, AZ)
Cleveland could win in 5, yet Atlanta this yr is much better than last yr. They seem a little more mature, but Joe Johnson is not consistent enough for them to compete against Lebron's supporting cast.
Brian (Cleveland)
What are they chances that LeBron might try to posterize Josh Smith, to show Josh that his flashiness against Miami isn't gonna fly in Cleveland?
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
Am I the only one in Cleveland remaining cautiously optomistic? I will let everyone else talk the trash and when the Cavs beat their team, be a little gracious.
mike (cleveland)
lebron james and co. are on a mission, the cavs are the best team in the nba and they will not be stopped, i wouldnt be too surprised if they won 8 straight to go to the finals
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Isn't boxing a floundering sport right now and did the fight Saturday do anything to help it? The thing was over before it started.
Aaron (Denver)
I love Teddy Atlas...but be careful, he picked Hatton to win on Saturday.
Demetric (Orlando)
Mark my words ESPN.....the Atlanta Hawks will beat the Cavs in 6 and send Lebrick James back home...and when it happens I want to brag on first take
Pat (Denver)
LeBron will probably posterize smith but not likely after spite, but just b/c thats what LeBron does to the competition
Ryan (Ohio)
Demetric might hate the Cavs more than Skip Bayless. Hey guy you have terrible points
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Demetric you just don't want to see the Cavs beat your Magic.
Mike indianapolis
Demetric you must be living in lala excuse me disney world to believe that LOL
Kerry (Cleveland,O)
I guess Demetric doesn't want to see Orlando-Cleveland matchup in the finals... What are you afraid of?
MaryE (Houston,Tx)
Mike Hill, I agree with you. Love Ron Artest, but Lakers in 6, and YES, Orlando in 7.
Miner (San Francisco)
Can we please get Manny Pacquiao a better nickname? How about the Pinoy Punisher? Pacman is too easy and over-used
Dan (Buffalo, NY)
Selena Roberts claims that A-Rod "may" have taken steroids in high school. Why would anyone publish her book. I think I may write a book claiming that A-Rod "may" have a tatoo of Jeter on his back. What kind of credibility does she have?
Jessie ( West Chester Pa )
Pacman willl rename Mayweather "Little Boy Floyd". Floyd has never faced a true warrior that has every weapon that Floyds past oppenents lacked.... Floyd will be destroyed with extreme prejudice!
Dee (Tampa, FL)
Atlanta is not beating Cleveland, now I give them the benefit of winning a game but who is gonna stop Mr.MVP?????
Dana Jacobson (11:43 AM)
Dan, as a journalist i'm going to assume she has sources that she trusts. Again folks no one on here has read the book so everyone is jumping to conclusions. READ it, then have a discussion
Ryan (Ohio)
The Hawks have as much chance to win as Demetric has to get on First Take ha
Mike indianapolis
James you are crazy Mayweather is american and a better fighter yo u sound stupid that has nothing to do with it he is a great fighter but money is an all-time fight there is a difference Marquez beat PacMan twice
Umor (detroit mi)
The best thing about Hockey. you run into those players at movie or on the street an they aren't standoffest just smile even stop and talk to you and appriciated their fans.
Moderator (11:47 AM)
I have never run into a pro hockey player at the movie theatre..maybe its just me though
Ryan (PA)
Even though im by far a KOBE fan and big lakers fan, Lebron does deserve it this year, he has put up his numbers.
Kelly (Texas)
I am anxious to see how Mayweather handles Marquez in his first fight after a lengthy layoff, see if he is just as sharp or if he has slowed any at all!
Donny (Boston)
Best place to catch a pro hockey player might be the dentist
Moderator (11:48 AM)
nice, Donny
Rene (Mesa, AZ)
Hockey players need to appreciate their fans right now. The league needs every fan they can get.
Dana Jacobson (11:49 AM)
Rene do they not? Id o agree with Johnny saying of all sports they're least recognizable, certainly doesn't help
JULIUS(Sringfield MA)
WILL SKIP OR ROB PLEASE GIVE HOUSTON SOME MOTIVATION TO BEAT LA
Tom (Bristol, CT)
I Haven't had the chance because my Whalers are gone.
Isaiah (Louisville, KY)
If the Cavs play with the same Defensive Intensity then they should have no problem beating the Hawks in 4-5games
Dana Jacobson (11:51 AM)
Isaiah, much more athletic team in atlanta, and i'm curious to see how cavs deal with the week off but yes they are clearly a heavy favorite
Dee (Tampa, FL)
Dana who do you have winning The Celtics/Magic Series???
lawrence (stowe vt)
motivation is not the only thing houston needs to beat la
Dana Jacobson (11:51 AM)
Dee i'm going celtics
Jarrod (Tuscaloosa, AL)
Dana, I understand where your coming from, but A-rod's career was already ruined in the spectators eyes when he admitted using, so why does Ms. Roberts have to take this this far, what is she getting out of it his public view is already messed up
Carlos (Atlanta)
What a sec...hockey's back...I thought they were on strike....lol
Dana Jacobson (11:52 AM)
Jarrod, thanks. Although I need to piont out her book was in development long before that came out. AND he only admitted using when teh story broke that he tested positive which I think she broke. You can call that a witch hunt if you want..but she didn't start the book after all of this. The book led to all of this
Tom (Bristol, CT)
Dana, CELTS seriously without KG do they even have an answer for Howard?
Moderator (11:52 AM)
no they're not on strike, apparently, they're all at the movie theatre
Dana Jacobson (11:52 AM)
Tom, sadly no.
Rene (Mesa, AZ)
Not saying they don't appreciate them. Really my point is the league can fall into obscurity if it weren't for the fans. The other major sports can have casual fans. Hockey thrives on it's hardcore fans
James Denver
Mayweather is going to wish he stayed retired or that hes fighting staged fights at Wrestlemania again after Pac man picks him apart.
Dana Jacobson (11:53 AM)
Rene - great point. Its sort of why I think you've seen what's happened with tv contracts. ESPN willing to only pay a certain amount b/c it doesn't bring in the casual fan no matter what you do. NHL wanted more money, that meant vs for games
Pat (Denver)
not to mention b4 this no one other than her family knew who she was and now it seems everyone is talking about her
Dana Jacobson (11:55 AM)
Pat, selena roberts wrote for the ny times for a long time and now is at sports illustrated. i'm a horrible reader in that I often don't read names on bylines but she is a highly respected writer/journalist. she didn't write rick reiley like stories so she didn't get the pub he did. but trust me she's been around the biz for awhile
Dee (Tampa, FL)
Dana I'm a huge St.Louis Rams fan, now do you think it would be in our best interest by next year if Marc Bulger has another banged up year should we go after a QB like Sam Bradford????
Dana Jacobson (11:55 AM)
Dee, even if bulger doesn't i'd look QB
Mike (AZ)
How sick is Eddie House? Who shoots 100% (all clutch) in a game 7?
Dana Jacobson (11:56 AM)
Mike he's automatic. Do you remember he had this sick sick game at CAL. some record setting deal, unreal
Steven (Philadelphia, PA)
Miner, I agree with you. Manny should clearly get a different nickname. The last guy using PacMan as a nickname.....well, let's just say it didn't work too well for him & leave it there.
Demetric (Orlando)
I'm not a trash talker.....I just know an good match-up when I see one. The Hawks are not the Pistons'; the only broom that Cavs fans will be using is the one to sweep the tears and lebrick jerseys off the floor!
Joey (SC)
Why doesn't anyone show the Magic some love. I mean, they are 6-3 against the "big three" in the NBA this season.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
We scared Demetric away.
Julius (SPRINGFIELD MA)
ALL THE CELTS HAVE TO DO IS PLAY HOWARD VERY PHYSICAL THATS HOW THEY KEPT HIM QUIET IN THE REGULAR SEASON. BUT I HPE SKIP AND ROB GIVE US LOTS OF MOTIVATION AND PICK THE MAGIC.
Jessie (West Chester Pa.)
WOW! I'm alittle worried about the Pacman now, Skip actually agrees with me. Paccy will smacky Floyd in four!!!!!
Mike indianapolis
People dont liekFloyd because he runs his mouth but he backs it up. Floyd dont get hit and he wont get at Floyd like that Skip doesnt know nothing about boxing how soon we forget It is crazy to see how people want to flock to Manny even though Floyd has never lost. The same things they say now about manny are what they said about floyd before retirement
Tony (VA)
One thing about boxing and I am back to talking Hockey. PACMAN is too good for Mayweather. 2 ppv fights for pacman and both have ended too early for my 50 dollars.
Jimmy (Los Angeles)
Dana or Mike: Any chance my man, the Black Mamba, goes for double nickel tonight?
Dana Jacobson (12:04 PM)
55 for kobe. its an interesting thought, i dont think so since john ireland says he's quite possibly sick with the flu...only averaged about 29ppg vs rockets regular season. but now that i've said that he will
Mike (Akron)
If Eddie house is so good, where was he the first 6 games of that series? Its not as though those games were blow outs.
Dana Jacobson (12:05 PM)
mike, eddie house to me is a good in spurts guy. when he's on though, watch out
Steven (Philadelphia, PA)
Am I allowed to ask where Jay is?
Dana Jacobson (12:05 PM)
steven you are, he's on vacation...back wed or thurs
Rene (Mesa, AZ)
House is a former ASU star. He burnt Cal for 65 or something like that. He was money then and it's nice to see him do well for an NBA team (don't remember a Sun-Devil who did that in the pro's)
Dana Jacobson (12:06 PM)
Rene that was it! It was awesome, i was in california then remember doing the highlight
Aaron (Denver)
Eddie House=John Starks When good its good when its bad its bad.
Dana Jacobson (12:06 PM)
aaron, nice!
Tom (Bristol, CT)
DANA, where is this red bull convo?????
Dana Jacobson (12:07 PM)
tom earlier, energy drink vs steroids
Zach Pittsburgh PA
Who should get the NHL MVP? Malkin or Ovechkin? my choice is Malkin because he does more than just score. they need to talk about more then jus #8
Dana Jacobson (12:08 PM)
Zach, didnt see enough regular season to give you a good thought - but ovechkin will get it, my guess.
Ryan (Freeport, IL)
Eddie is a very streaky shooter as well as player. He has his nights but they don't come too often.
Mike (AZ)
Eddie must have been "on" all season. When he gets consistent minutes like he did this season he shoots 44% from 3pt. Thats good enough for #1 in Celtics history.
Dana Jacobson (12:09 PM)
I think Eddie ends up being as someone wrote like a starks, like a great role player (name em) on the bulls dynasty. He has a role.
Tom (Bristol, CT)
DANA, The A-Rod thing came out, before we crucify him I think those other 100+ names need to be released other wise this looks like a Yankee Hating, Mets fan that just wants to smear their best player.
Dana Jacobson (12:10 PM)
Tom, the names i dont think will ever be released, right or wrnog. wouldn't it be refreshing if someone just came forward though, no reason too but it would be in my book
James Denver
Dana dont take the Selena Roberts the wrong way we still love you thats why we dont want you to be on the wrong side of this one.
Dana Jacobson (12:11 PM)
James, i'm not on a side. Like I said i haven't read the book. You know my problem was your argument last week that she wrote this b/c she was turned down by him. That's my problem. I dont know her sources, I don't know what she's written but I am telling you waht her credentials are. That's all. Not picking sides
Julius(springfield ma)
yes eddie house is not getting minutes like he was in reg season
Dana Jacobson (12:17 PM)
folks, im outta here....thanks for the spirited debate. A pleasure as always let's do it again tomorrow!!!
