Reaction to Clemens 'he said, he said' today in First Down...
AJ (Charleston)
Enough is enough, personally I'm already tired of Clemens, A-Rod, Manny, Bonds, and the rest of them. They cheated in an era where it seems like most people cheated. Just tired of hearing about it.
Will (WV)
Take their records away....simple as that! Let the old boys of summer hold their records.
AJ (Charleston)
Or put their records in their own book, the cover can just be an asterisk.
Matt, IA
Enough of this steroid talk, we pay more attention to people that have done horrible things, such as cheating, let's give Ryan Zimmerman a minute of fame today, how long does Skip believe he will keep his hitting streak alive?
AJ (Charleston)
Im surprised that people are already keeping track of Zimmerman, it seems like everytime one of these streaks get going the media pressure ends up catching up to the player. No one should do a story on a hitting streak until it hits 44 games and ties Rose.
Moderator (9:54 AM)
Matt...still a long way to go to overdo Zimmerman, no? He's barely more than halfway to Joe D's record?
Craig(buffalo,NY)
Moderator, when is the topic on Leborn and the Cavs sweep?
Moderator (9:55 AM)
2nd down, Craig
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Once again the NHL shows that its post season is better than the NBA's. I'm not happy that the Pens lost in OT but it was a heck of a game. As for the Chicago-Vancouver game well who says that they don't score in hockey? NBA: Normally Boring Association.
Umor (detroit)
You see the look on jason kidd when dirk tied the game up last night. it was like where have you been all season.
Craig(Buffalo,NY)
I can understand about Roger's interview. he is so far into this that he can't change his story or his attitude about it. regardless if he is lying or not.
Dana Jacobson (9:56 AM)
morning folks! how bout the caps last night? and how bout clemens?? i know what he meant but my fav part of the mike and mike intvw was when he said testing was evasive instead of invasive. i make mistakes all the time, but this was a need to be perfect moment!! oops. hopefully people will misremember the interview.
Kerry (Cleveland, O)
AJ BONDS NEVER failed a drug test. MANNY has never failed one before this...
Dana Jacobson (9:56 AM)
kerry there's some discrepency about that. howard bryant talked about it last week. there is a failed bonds test that is now inadmissable in the court case - part of the reason the trial was completely derailed. BUT you are right no on record failed test
Craig (Buffalo,NY)
Zimmerman is on my fantasy baseball team so please keep hitting as long as he wants. By the way, the Nationals have like 6 wins this season. that's why no one knows about him.
AJ (Charleston)
I agree with Skip on the whole hockey issue, heck of a game to watch live...cant stand it on TV.
Scott (Colorado Springs)
I think the Denver Nuggets shouldn't let Mark Cuban in the building when they whip the MAVS. If K-Mart is a "thug", Mark Cuban is a mobster.
Kerry (Cleveland, O)
You have to give Cheryl Miller props last night too, she didn't ask who the Cavs wanted to play, she asked 'What problems do each team present the Cavs' GREAT QUESTION, that's the way to get an answer.
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
AJ: Get yourself a big screen HD TV and watch the NHL Playoffs. It is a much better TV experience now.
Moderator (10:03 AM)
are you buying, Johnny?
Tom (River North)
Just put an asterisk next to everything that has happened since 1995 and move on. I'm tired of it.
Justin (Michigan)
alright i watched the interview with roger this morning on mike and mike, is it just me or is this really turning into a witch hunt now that everyone in baseball wants nothing more but roger to fall. the only person that seems to want this to end besides me is roger himeself.
Justin (Boulder, CO)
Nuggets/Mavs is tough to watch. Game 3 had 61 personal fouls called. Game 4 had 59. Is this what NBA basketball is now?
AJ (Charleston)
Im wondering if all of the chatters who bet Jay that the Hawks would take the Cavs to 7 will show up today.
Moderator (10:04 AM)
Justin, if you want to watch something where there are no consequences for rough play, watch the hockey playoffs
AJ (Charleston)
I'll give you that Johnny, it is better. Still not up to the NFL or NBA though.
Dana Jacobson (10:05 AM)
aj - who on earth did that? btw whoever was asking about the big baby "kid hit" from sunday nights game - we r discussing and let me say - ridiculous. you want an apology - you were courtside in a seat - big baby didn't do it on purpose, he was running back there was a body there. come on!!! you should be bragging that big baby knocked your hat off. please...dont sit there if you dont want to chance it.
Scott (Colorado Springs)
Hey everyone, guess what??? Roger Clemens and steriods sells books.
Dana Jacobson (10:05 AM)
scott - wow!!! what a revelation
craig (Buffalo,NY)
Dana, what did you think of the Caps-Pens game 6 last night.
Dana Jacobson (10:06 AM)
craig - started watching late but thought what i saw was great. sorry pens fans, i wanted a game 7 - to get it with ot...to win in the pens house in ot - fantastic. and ovechkin at least late, wasn't the star, he's needed his teammates to step up, now he needs to step up in 7
Shaun (Cleveland)
I thought the one thing Clemens said today that made him sound believable was that he'd be crazy to take steroids or HGH because of his family history with heart problems. It's not what he said, just how he said it that made me think he really believes he's never taken any illegal substances.
Rajesh (Atlanta)
How in the world could fans just give baseball players like Roger and Manny a free pass on steroids? You can't just forget.
Dana Jacobson (10:07 AM)
shaun - he cited a step dad as family history, that's not a blood relation. his brother, ok...but step dad. no
Jeremy (Orlando)
when will you talk about LA and their problems
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
But Dana, don't you apologize when you accidentally bump someone on a crowded street or sidewalk? Not saying it was done purposely but common courtesy comes into play here.
Dana Jacobson (10:08 AM)
Johnny - on a crowded street yes. This isn't that situation. Im sure he had no clue who he bumped into. The dad in this case asking for an apology, i'm sorry, get over it.
Moderator (10:08 AM)
Jeremy, which LA? Lakers? Dodgers? Miss California? No NFL in LA? this ain's the mind-reading channel
Umor (detroit)
All the players run down the foul line. if your court side. you need to get out of the way. They are trying to get back on the next play. they are not looking out for a spectator on the floor.
Erick (Queens,NY)
Doesn't this whole era have a Red Scare feel towards it. Someone can accuse a player of using and his reputation is ruined overnight. Wheres the failed tests or DNA evidence like Manny or A-Rod had.
shaun (Cleveland)
plus the kid that Big Baby hit was standing up and away from his seat. If you don't want to get run over by an NBA player, don't be out of your seat.
Tristan Pierce (Palm Bay, FL)
TOO MANY FOULS IN THE NBA PLAYOFFS..LETS THEM PLAY
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Yeah thanks Dana. Fleury is clearly the great equalizer. He can make any game exciting with that Swiss cheese defense he plays. If the Pens had a real goalie, this thing is over already.
Craig (Dallas, Texas)
The only evidence against Roger is circumstantial at best. So the fact that people are convicting him already is a joke.
Moderator (10:11 AM)
hmmmmm, Craig...you're not suspicious?
Adam (Columbus, OH)
How is there still money in writing books on outing players for steroids? I'm convinced media outlets who need to report on these books are the only ones driving sales.
RJ (Boston)
I'm having a hard time digesting anyone defending the kid's dad. Those seats come with a disclaimer.... That kind of interplay is exactly WHY YOU BOUGHT THEM. He's being a complete Jerque.
Nick (RI)
Dana, THANK YOU i mean seriously that kid is lucky to be sitting that close to the players and should be happy he got bumped after enjoying a great down-to-the-wire game in the playoffs
Tristan Pierce (Palm Bay, FL)
maybe another one of the authers should have spoke..this guy was bad
Will (WV)
How many technicals will the refs give out in a game before they learn to control the game? I am tired of the foul calling.
Jesse, Acworth
To answer Skip's question -- This is not coming to trial with "all the facts in this book" - because books like this have no actual facts, its all innuendo and "I know a guy that said .. " or "I heard" type "proof" - which, at the end of the day is useless.
Moderator (10:16 AM)
Jesse, do you really think the 4 collaborators on this book wrote: "I heard" and "I know a guy that said"??? Why don't you read it and give me a count on those phrases
Cody (shaftsbury, vt)
Finally, I have been waiting to hear someone give Dirk his due for so long.
Justin (Dickinson, ND)
I'm with Skip I don't know how Clemens or Bonds has not gone to trial over this yet or just admit to it and end it.
Will (WV)
No no no....the mavs/nuggets series has not gone to a new level...this series is over in game 5!
Craig (Buffalo,NY)
Johnny, the goalie you got now got your team to the Finals last year and has quietly been the best goalie in this series.
RJ (Boston)
Maybe it's the courtside seats that should be elminated.... or make the disclaimers ever MORE obvious. Get waivers signed... etc.
R Mom (Spring Valley, NY)
Here, here! My sentiments exactly Will (WV). How could they call 7 technical fouls in one game. That is utterly ridiculous!!!
Chris (Lakeland Florida)
Cuban apologized as a PR move. You don't go from thinking the kid is a thug to being respectful of the family and offering to have them over for a cookout. Cuban is a clown.
Jonathan (Atlanta, GA)
Will is right. It's a done deal for the Nuggets tomorrow night. Cuban is lucky Martin didn't clean his clock yesterday for talking disrespectfully to his Mom.
Cody (shaftsbury, vt)
I'm a mavs fan and I'll agree it's cubans fault. But look at what he has done for that organization. A few years ago we wouldn't be talking about the mavs. Like it or not his controversy brings eyes to the game. He would have been good for the Cubbies too.
Tony (VA)
Johnny, do u think it could b ur just playing a good team. HELLO, The caps did face Henrik Lundquist in the first round and we figured out his weakness (above his glove hand) and came back and beat him.
Thom (Atlanta)
Since when has Dallas been a hostile arena? Also, when has Dallas started playing defense? I don't think they are the same "Alice" Mavericks Skip said they were last year.
Tristan Pierce (Palm Bay, FL)
it would be nice to watch a sports show where they could just talk sports. I understand why you have to, its old
Kerry (Cleveland, O):
Biker Bar? HEY, don't throw the Bikers of the world under the bus with those knuckleheads... Benjamin, you owe the bikers of the world a HUGE apology...
Shaun (Cleveland)
I'd love to see Cuban diss LeBron in front of Gloria. He'd be lying on the sideline with a pair of black eyes!!!
Michael Kim (10:24 AM)
Good Morning, Everyone... I would have been here earlier but Glen Davis pushed me out of the way and I couldn't get to my computer.
Jeremy (Orlando)
Michael Kim if Glen Davis pushed you you would still be down. just kidding with you
Dave Dover, DE
Dana, good morning. i would like to know what you think the chances the dallas cowboys reach the play-offs now that T.O is gone
Dana Jacobson (10:27 AM)
Dave I think the eagles and giants may be better in the division, wildcard maybe but not a favorite for me right now
Iain (Loveland, OH)
I know this is astonishing, but I agree with Skip on the whole Roger Clemens thing. This is just ridiculous how long this has gone on.
Erick (Queens, NY)
Seriously, they got testimonies from drug dealers. We're getting our facts from DRUG DEALERS. We might as well be getting game analysis from bookies from now on.
RJ (Boston)
Cody, It's a fine line between stupid and clever. Cuban, has crossed that line too often.
Rajesh (Gupta)
I think if Cuban had bought the Cubs they wouldn't be the loveable losers anymore..prob more like loveable mediocres..he'd at least get the team to the playoffs
Mike (Indy)
Give me a break Skip, Dana is exactly right here. Mark Cuban's remarks don't absolve behavior of fans in the stands. Be accountable for your own actions.
Michael Kim (10:27 AM)
Jeremy... LOL... I probably would be... Let's put it this way: I don't want to know. But that said, that boy's father is ridiculous for what he's saying.
Dana Jacobson (10:28 AM)
thanks Mike, Cuban was dumb for going that far. BUT please don't tell me that fans were thinking cuban did it so can we
Jonathan (Atlanta, GA)
Cuban is going to need security tomorrow night in Denver.
Jesse, Acworth
Davis is 6'9 290Lbs, if he "pushed" that kid he would have been laid flat, not just have his hat knocked off.
Shaun (Cleveland)
Demand an apology Michael!!!
Tristan Pierce (Palm Bay, FL)
thug is incredibly offensive? I dont think wut mark cuban did was right but i do think his apology was real
Thom (Atlanta)
YES MICHAEL KIM!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Someone noticed it!!!!
Michael Kim (10:29 AM)
Shaun... I will not. I'M A MAN. I'M 40.
Will (WV)
FRIED PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICHES AND FRIED TWINKIES HERE! MICHAEL KIM...WHERE ARE YOU BROTHER!
Danny (Tonasket, Wa.)
Very funny Micheal Kim
Jonathan, (Atlanta, GA)
Is Skip feeling well today? How can you say Carmelo "lost his cool" when he scored 41! Skip, check the stats Bro.
Michael Kim (10:30 AM)
Will... I'm starting a new diet... The Bert Blyleven worm diet.
Tom (River North)
No, the Cavs will not be running the table. I'm guessing Orlando or Boston can win at least a game or two. In the end, it comes down to the fact that LeBron is pretty much unguardable given the current rules, and that makes him even tougher to stop.
Craig (Buffalo,NY)
30 minutes in and still nothing on Caps-Pens. Good Job guys!!!
Dana Jacobson (10:33 AM)
craig - you know by now...hour number 2 with barnaby. sorry.
JULIUS (SPRINGFIELD MA)
DANA WATCH OUT FOR THOSE COWBOYS THE GIANTS NEED A BIG TIME WIDEOUT TO GET BACK TO SUPER BOWL AND THE EAGLES WILL BE THE EAGLES NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN IT ALL LIKE ALWAYS. I THINK WITOUT T.O. DALLAS COULD WIN IT ALL. DALLAS VS. PITTSBURGH
Dana Jacobson (10:34 AM)
julius, i disagree. really like what the eagles did draft/free agency. and maybe i have more faith in hakeem nicks than others. he's not plax but that may be ok. dallas feels flat to me
Thom (Atlanta)
Thats because your in Buffalo where you only have hockey and the Bills...neither one is interesting to talk about lol, jk
Andy : Canton,Ohio
Oh I just can not wait to see what Skip has to say about the Cavs and King James now. They continue to make history and Skip continues to hate.
Ronnie (Laure, DE)
Mark Cuban and the Dallas fans acted dumb. With the offcourt situation with Dirk and the "Thuggish" comment, Cuban and family of Dallas players better not even come close to going to Denver for game 5.
Dana Jacobson (10:36 AM)
Thom, bills are one of the more intriguing teams right now. yeah i said it!!! who knows what TO will do - potential for one of the better receiving duos out there with a healthy edwards. aaron maybin's a kid to root for.
Craig (Buffalo,NY)
I understand Dana, you guys have to talk about the negative of sports first before the positive. I just want Mike Hill to accept my $20.00 already.
Moderator (10:37 AM)
2nd down coming up in a few: Can the Cavs run the table in the playoffs? Vikings confirm interest in Favre...
Kerry (Cleveland, O)
Hey MOD, would you please send more Cheese to Buffalo? They need it to go with that WHINE from Craig...
Dana Jacobson (10:37 AM)
craig he said he would. i was watching hockey so i know it was a great game but you know other stuff trumps it around here. no one is every happy!!!
Jeremy (Orlando)
The caps pens is the first hockey game i watched this season to see what the hype was about and I must say it was a great game.
Dana Jacobson (10:37 AM)
jeremy welcome to our world
Andy : Canton,Ohio
I am not sure if i am posting right cause i never see any of my posts can someone tell me if I am doing it right or am if its just so busy that mine are not going up.
Moderator (10:38 AM)
sure Andy, leave the back door open, we'll be right over
Dana Jacobson (10:38 AM)
andy, it's busy keep trying.
Paul (West Palm Beach Fl.)
Goodmorning everyone sorry Im late, did I miss anything?
julius (springfield ma)
dana, your right about the eagles and the draft/free agency but i think dallas still has a better team on paper its gonna come down to better play calling and team chemistry for dallas.
Moderator (10:38 AM)
as far as you know, Paul, you missed everyone saying, "hey, where's Paul today?"
Michael Kim (10:39 AM)
LeBron and the Cavs are on such a roll that I don't know if they lose a game until the NBA Finals. Jay Crawford points out they won their first 8 games and now can finish the season 8-6 and win the title.
Rick (Jackpot, NV.)
Johan should be upset with his teammates, particularly with their defense. The guy is pitching phenomenal and yet the Mets can't get any run support for him. Such a waste of a couple of good outings that Johan has produced!!
Dana Jacobson (10:39 AM)
julius - that's why they play the games right? no one had the cardinals last year...and i'm not sure many picked pitt to win it all
Danny (Tonasket, Wa.)
Please no more Favre until he at least signs with somebody, we've had enough speculation already.
Thom (Atlanta)
Yeah I know Dana, I was just kidding (jk) lol, but thats secretly one of the best divisions in the NFL. I think T.O. will make Lee Evans better
Dana Jacobson (10:39 AM)
no doubt thom
Brian (Michigan)
Moderator, that's what she said.
Aaron (Denver)
The NHL games easily out entertained the NBA last night. The flurry of offense in both games was INTENSE.
Will (WV)
THe sad part is that the next set of series in the Stanley Cup playoffs will not be as exciting as the Caps/Pens series..Hockey got what it wanted...lets move on!
AJ (Charleston)
Man, the Mod is a smart aleck today, who is hiding behind that tag anyway?
Mike (Indy)
@Andy I'm sure Skip will complain about the way Lebron laced his shoes or something. Good luck finding something on the court because all he does is lead the Cavs to wins without much of a bench atm.
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Clemens used PEDs. Vikes interested in Favre. Not exactly breaking news on the show today gang.
Scott (Colorado Springs)
The Cavs will not run the table. They haven't played anyone that can hold them and they are getting a little cocky. I think if the Hawks were heathly they would have one at least one game. They will lose two games in the next round. They have to much time on their hands right now and won't be as focused in the next round.
Moderator (10:40 AM)
I don't know, but I havn't heard anyone use the term "smart aleck" since Sister Mary Helen yelled at me in 2nd grade
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Greinke is the best pitcher right now.
Jesse, Acworth
If you counting on team chemistry and play calling on team coached by Wade Phillips ... I dont think you have much of a chance.
Paul (West Palm Beach Fl.)
Dana I don't know what the Bills are going to get from T.O. all season long but do agree 100% Maybin is going to be an impact on that Defesne.
JULIUS (springfield ma)
no the cavs will lose more than one game next round when they face the team with the most heart in the league THE BOSTON CELTICS.
Craig (Buffalo,NY)
Thom, you are right. I don't care about T.O.'s team until Sept.
RJ (Boston)
Andy, stop chatting in study hall.
Paul(Warwick,RI)
The giants improved their "D',and their running game will stillbe impressive. throw in a big tight end like kevin boss,theG-menb will still be really good this year.
Moderator (10:41 AM)
I thought thats what study hall was for?
Shaun (Cleveland)
I think it would be insane to think the Cavs can run the table. They beat up on a Pistons team that came into the playoffs with a losing record and a Hawks team that had three starters banged up to the point they weren't able to go at times - two didn't dress for Game 2!!!!
Michael Kim (10:42 AM)
Johnny... Very funny. Think of it this way: These guys could simply stay out of the headlines by choice. But they're not doing that.
Moderator (10:42 AM)
Shaun, nice to see a Clevelander still has a level head on about this team
AJ (Charleston)
Well im sure you wouldn't allow my real language to be posted.
Lance (New York, N.Y.)
This Washington-Pittsburgh series is a fantastic chapter to one of sports' greatest rivalries. No matter who wins game seven, every sports fan wins for having the Ovechkin-Crosby match-up we all wanted living up to the hype.
Moderator (10:42 AM)
damn right, AJ
Tony (VA)
Being that I am only 21 years old, I have not felt as nervous for sporting events as I have in this playoffs following my Capitals. Last night I thought I was going to die due to a massive heart attack all game. I have never felt this way before about sports.
Michael Kim (10:43 AM)
Lance... Rarely do sporting events live up to the hype. This one might exceed the hype -- especially if Game 7 is like the other 6. Great series.
Jeff (Ohio)
Michael Kim here? Did he see that awful K by Carlos Pena the other night? Don't worry Michael, it's all in good fun.
Moderator (10:43 AM)
lay off the wings and beer till that massive heart attack feeling goes away, Tony
Andy ( Canton,Ohio)
Mike, you are right. I do not believe for one second that Skip believes what he says. He is on the show to be controversy for us to talk about. Either that or he just doesn't actually watch basketball.
Tom (River North)
Will, I'm not sure you watch enough hockey. If the Wings/Hawks play in the next round, that will be really exciting, as will the Pens/Caps vs. Canes matchup. The Caps/Pens series has delivered, but I still think Wings/Ducks has been more intense.
Michael Kim (10:45 AM)
Jeff... Hey, I hate to tell you this but he's going to average an out 7 times out of 10.
Thom (Atlanta)
Wow what a great hockey commerical lol
john (cincinnati)
dana, i totally agree with you about the kid who got bumped into by davis. furthermore, if the kid was actually sitting in his seat, he would not have been bumped. also, clemens is using the pete rose defense tactic...deny, deny, deny. i don't believe clemens.
Will (WV)
Michael Kim...Jay made a great point! WOW! 8-6 and still win it all! That is a real realistic scenario!
Paul (West Palm Beach Fl.)
Well Thank you for letting me know Moderator I feel special now LOL
Mike (Indy)
Scott, you're only cocky if you can't back it up and the Cavs can back it up against anyone right now.
torrey huoma, la
labron and the cavs will sweep eiyher olando or especialy boston they are on a real misson labron wants to prove he,s the best thing since jardon kobe,s time is up sorry LA
Aaron (Denver)
Tony, do not listen to the Moderator...continue to numb the pain and increase volume with more Beer and wings....YOU ARE 21
Paul (West Palm Beach Fl.)
If it wasn't for Bonds, Farve, Arod, Lebron, T.0., Pacman, Vick, Manny and Clemens poor Skip would be Jobless. So enjoy people . :)
Will (WV)
Boy....Skip is set that Orlando is the team to take down the Cavs....clever!
shawn (cleveland)
I am a huge Cavs fan but lately the cocky behavior they have is a little too much. Come on now, we should sweep Pistons and Hawks. How will they react when the game is close.
Craig (Buffalo,NY)
Kerry, you can send me cheese but you have to "WITNESS" a hockey game first and see for yourself.
Paul (Denver)
Cav fans shouldn't be too confident in their team after beating two horrible teams.
Jeff (Ohio)
Cavs are cocky right now? They're just taking care of business. You want to see cocky you should watch a replay of the Lakers/Rockets game 4... you know before the cocky Lakers laid down.
Danny (Tonasket, Wa.)
Dana, Great ad, I used to be huge hockey fan until I just couldn't see the puck on television anymore and I live too far away to see NHL live and am too poor to get a 60 inch plasma TV.
Paul (Denver)
Can someone tell me why the NBA refs are so darn inconsistent? The last ticky-tack foul was premeditated; worst zebras in all of the major sports...bar none!
Jonathan (Atlanta, GA)
Hey Jay, my bad. You were right....Cavs in a sweep.
Tom (River North)
Dana, that commercial was fantastic. It reminded me of the Big Papi commercial where he puts on the Yankee hat.
torrey huoma, la
GREAT COMeRCIAL
R Mom (Spring Valley, NY)
Hell No!!....Plexico!! I will boycott a game or two if the J-E-T-S pick up that cancer!!!
Joey Crawford (NBA)
Technical foul on Moderator for making being sarcastic. Don't let me catch you smiling.
Andy ( Canton,Ohio)
RJ, Study hall? I wish i was that young still.
Aaron (Denver)
I deperately want the Magic to play the Cavs. We get to watch the 2 biggest physical freaks in the NBA with Howard and Lebron. Howard can actually knock Lebron to the floor.
Jeremy (Orlando)
Brett Favre can't even get the Viks 1 more win then Jackson will be able to so save your money.
John, Austin
Would picking up someone like Plaxico be a good thing for their rookie QB? Seems like a big NO but maybe he's not all that bad, at least he shot himself and not someone else.
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Apparently the Hawks took some advice from Bobby Cox about how to handle the playoffs.
Jesse, Acworth
Do that Michael, and no matter how good you are, your not getting the the HoF!
Michael Kim (10:51 AM)
Jesse -- That's true. Have you checked out his #'s? Some great numbers pitching for some really bad teams for a long time. He should get more credit than he does.
Devin (Baton Rouge, LA)
Brett Farve needs to let it go. He's went from great football Brett to downhome Brett and it just won't work in Minnesota. They should just take time to groom one of there other QB's.
Michael Kim (10:52 AM)
Devin, Why let it go if someone is willing to pay you millions of dollars for something you love?
Blake (san angelo, tx)
The NBA is partially to blame for the misconduct in dallas due to the blown call in game 3 if not for that this series could quite possibly all square.
Jay Crawford (10:54 AM)
whats up room! sorry for the delay..it';s been a crazy day here! goooooo cavs!
Michael Kim (10:54 AM)
Blake... I've been thinking that since last night's game. But there's no guarantee Dallas can go down and score to win or tie and force OT. But, we'll never know...
Blake (san angelo, tx)
The NBA is partially to blame for the misconduct in dallas due to the blown call in game 3 if not for that this series could quite possibly all square.
Blake (san angelo, tx)
The NBA is partially to blame for the misconduct in dallas due to the blown call in game 3 if not for that this series could quite possibly all square.
Rick (Jackpot, NV.)
PLEASE PLEASE no more Favre stories...PLEASE??
Aaron (Denver)
We are seeing the birth of a new top 5 player in Carmelo. The Olympic experience for Lebron Wade and Melo changed the mentality of the young guns. Thanks Kobe.
Jesse, Acworth
Yes, Blyleven's exculsion from the Hall is unbelievable, show how poor the voting is, and that many writers (like those that didn't put Henderson on the ballot), need to be throw out and more educated people put in for HoF voting.
Cody (shaftsbury, vt)
michael, because he is runing his legacy and dragging his name through the mud. His biggest fans are sick of this conversation.
Blake (san angelo, tx)
The NBA is partially to blame for the misconduct in dallas due to the blown call in game 3 if not for that this series could quite possibly all square.
Jay Crawford (10:56 AM)
i listened carefully to the debate on who's to blame for the fans reaction in dallas. silly question!! we are each responsible for our own actions., if the nba made a bad call, okm they happen. if mark cuban hurls an insult, not acceptable, but it happens. they are to blame for both, but to say either is responsible for fans misbehaving or the mistreatment of women verbally or otherwise, is absurd! the fans who did it, and only the fans who who were responsible for the behavior, are resbonsible for the behavior...no one else!
Dana Jacobson (10:56 AM)
blake, again , these are adults. you aren't a member of the team - you are a fan. that's ridiculous.
Michael Kim (10:56 AM)
Cody, it's not about how we think of his legacy... It's about revenge for him. He still has that burning inside him and he won't let it go.
Jeremy (Orlando)
hey what time is Ireland coming on tomorrow?
Rick (Jackpot, NV.)
OK...my morning is complete...Dana said my name and read what I said here in the chat room on ESPN!!! SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!! Thanks DANA!!!
Lance (New York, N.Y.)
"Plaxico Burress being a cancer" is such a big myth. Say what you want about his common sense regarding the gun incident but he is a capable receiver that can abuse corners. He doesn't do anything to tear the team apart from within ala Terrell Owens. It's just a matter of stopping the off-field trouble, something I trust Rex Ryan and the coaching staff to straighten out. Now that he's looking for work, he has a chip on his shoulder (something that a Super Bowl-winning receiver almost never does). Watch out...
Jay Crawford (10:57 AM)
jeremy, my guess, 10am straight up
Tony (VA)
MIKE GREEN PLEASE COME BACK TO THE PLAYOFFS!!!! WE COULD USE A GOAL ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT. -THANK YOU, ALL OF WASHINGTON D.C.
WIll (WV)
Jay...Michael tells me he is on a new diet! No more fried peanut butter sandwiches for him.
Dana Jacobson (10:58 AM)
Lance, I haven't heard much about him being a cancer...I have heard he missed meetings and at times had some different rules. That's always the case. We all know people where we work who have special rules. The gun stuff - DUMB. I think he'll have to be on a very short leash though with ryan
Rick (Jackpot, NV.)
Yes Skip we say no more Favre and of course we are watching...because we like First Take...just not Favre rumors..:)
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
If the kid lost his hat, at least Big Baby can buy him a new one unless Davis spent all of his salary on food.
Jay Crawford (10:58 AM)
hmmm, thats a good idea for anyone who cares about health!! lol
Scott (Colorado Springs)
I refuse to chat about Farve, AROD, steriods. I would rather talk about the Lions then those topics listed above.
ME (Houston)
MARK CUBAN IS A THUG!
Michael Kim (10:58 AM)
Tony, he's been missing in this series, that's for sure. As long as he doesn't get in Varlamov's way...
Dana Jacobson (10:58 AM)
calvin, his hat was on the floor i dont think he lost it.
Umor (detroit)
about the bruins comercial, I've seen michigan fans that are dating ohio state fans. I don't see how that happens but I see them at the stadium
julius (springfield ma)
minnesota is smart for pursuing brett they have a championship team and the owners are sick of not winning in the playoffs brett could definetly help the vikings skip is crazy for saying gus ferotte is better than favre are u serious skip
Will (WV)
Why is Favre throwing the ball around with HS athletes? Does he have anything to prove to them... I am sure he is not doing this to be nice to the athletes...it is not community service!
Dana Jacobson (10:59 AM)
umor i do too. and i have friends from michigan who married msu folks. it happens b/c love conquers all
Jay Crawford (10:59 AM)
just to stay in shape.
Blake (san angelo, tx)
OH I agree Mark Cubans actions were ridiculous and no owner nor fan has no right to taunt anyone I agree and its foolish but just voicing that the blown call quite possibly changed the outcome of game 3 but not to mention mavs did blow some easy free throws at the end of that game.
AJ (Charleston)AJ (Charleston)
Aaron I hate to disagree with you, but Carmelo is nowhere near the others without Billups. Chauncey is the real leader of that team.
Michael Kim (11:00 AM)
Umor... you're telling me that if you're a Michigan diehard fan but the girl of your dreams is an Ohio State diehard fan, that's going to kill the relationship?
lawrence stowe vt
shouldnt that kid doing the bret farve interview be in school...tisk,tisk
J DALY (LONGBEACH,CA)
ENJOYIN THE SHOW GUYS! WE TAKE A DRINK EVER TIME YA'LL SAY "BRETT FAVRE"!
Aaron (Denver)
Dana, thanks for the run on air I appreciate it. Now let's get the Wings and Blackhawks so we can talk trash next week!
Cody (shaftsbury, vt)
Your trusting the word of a high school on a brett farve evalutation. For some reason I feel that it may not be too credible.
Jay Crawford (11:03 AM)
air love cody! air love
Tom (River North)
Dana, tell them you are wearing red to show support for the Red Wings tonight!
Jay Crawford (11:04 AM)
that, and the buckeyes..lol
Derek Dienner (Philadelphia)
I think that you should have Bret Farve, TO, and Lebron James to debate with Skip sometime on 1st and 10. That would be amazing! haha
Jay Crawford (11:04 AM)
big news room!!! woody paige is one tomorrow thru friday for a skip and woody 1st and 10 reunion!
Paul(Warwick,RI)
Skip is right! the vikings dont need a distraction that's only there to get back at the Packers.Let's face it favre has'nt won anything since 1996,HE'S WASHED UP1
Iain (Loveland, OH)
J Daly, drinking this early haha. My mom and I have joked about drinking every time they mention his name too, lol!!
chris ( LA MannyWood)
whats the chances that Pittsburgh Steelers repeat?
Jay Crawford (11:05 AM)
not good, if recent history is a judge.
Tom (River North)
Is Woody going to chat? There are definitely a few things I want to say to him...
Jay Crawford (11:05 AM)
ha! nope. too busy formulating arguements
Bobby (Macedonia, Ohio)
JAY & DANA- Im a die hard Ohio state fan and dated a Die hard Michigan fan for 2 years. It was a blast, maybe not for her considering the last 4 years! (sorry Dana)...needless to say she was wearing a lauranitis jersey every sunday after the big game thanx to our deal! When you go to a northwest Ohio college (Heidelberg) this happens alot and it gets rowdy!
Jay Crawford (11:06 AM)
i know heidelberg well!
Thom (Atlanta)
Umor is just upset that it wasn't a Red Wings commercial lol
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Dana's wearing Red because she wants The Rockets to beat LA.
Kerry (Cleveland, O)
WOODY, WOODY, WOODY, WOODY... I am sure we are going to see Professor Screw loose...
Jay Crawford (11:07 AM)
a very good chance!
Will (WV)
Woody is back!!!!
Jeremy (Orlando)
Michael Kim what you just said means that he doesn't have the burning inside, it means he wants revenge and only that. How smart would it be for his promotional deal with the Packers to sign with the Viks.
Marcus (Upper Marlboro, MD)
How come the Mets play terrible for Santana? I feel sorry for him.
Ryan (denver)
Mark Cuban is a combination Al Davis with the class of Marge Schott, he deserves a 2010 ban from all NBA venues for his lack of class!!!!!!!!!!
Michael Kim (11:09 AM)
Jeremy, I didn't mean that as his only reason. Look, if he didn't want to play and didn't think he could play, I think he would mow his lawn at the Favre Estates in Hattiesburg and he'd be happy.
justin(ohio)
How come Derrick Lowe dont get any credit...He pitched a pretty good game last night...Johan is a great pitch just dont have the bats with him,but C'MON give D.Lowe and the braves some credit
Adam (Orlando)
So, has anyone else noticed the pretty subpar officiating in the NBA playoffs this year?
Michael Kim (11:12 AM)
Justin, I've been a Lowe fan for a long time. I wanted the Cardinals to sign him when he was available in '04 offseason(?). His sinkerball with the Dave Duncan mentality would make him a great fit in STL.
Lance (New York, N.Y.)
Woo hoo, Cold Pizza is BACK!!! I only hope Woody didn't knock out anyone like he did to Tony Reali in April to get back on the chair.
Dave (Utah)
Mike Kim, you know there is no way Favre would be content with mowing his lawn, while wearing his Wranglers. Throw a purple jersey on his back, give Peterson the rock for 2,000 yards, and let that stout "D" push them far into the playoffs.
Jay Crawford (11:13 AM)
we're pumped! woody is great tv!
Umor (detroit)
Woddy gonna be the sane one the way skip been going lately.
Jay Crawford (11:13 AM)
lol
Dana Jacobson (11:13 AM)
before you all say where was grienke in that segment - frank white didn't answer his phone or had a wrong time or something so we couldn't do that part. obviously he's one of the best right now
Jason (Utica, MI)
Mark Cuban crossed the line. He should take a page from Fmr pistons owner Bill Davidson and show a little class!
GatorsEATNoles
Jay/Dana: Just want to say, both my wife Gator-loving wife and I agree that if we weren't both Gator grads, we couldn't be together. Love conquers all, sure, but the Gators ARE love.
J-Mac (N.Kingstown,RI)
Like I said before ...... AJ hawk is engaged to B.Quinn's sister.. I know it's not Michagan but still.
Mark (Chicago)
How about some Blackhawks love here. They went from not making the playoffs to being the first to clinch a spot in the conference finals...smells a little bit like the Rays run last year to me.
Michael Kim (11:14 AM)
Dave, I'm with you. I was saying if he didn't have the passion to play anymore.
Dana Jacobson (11:14 AM)
Gators - if you are meant to be you'd be together regardless!!
Moderator (11:14 AM)
I only smell coffee myself
Jeff (Ohio)
Such is the life of a #1 Ace starting pitcher. You're going up against other aces. Going to be lots of times your team doesn't get you run support, just look at Cliff Lee. Only thing Johan can do is keep on keeping on.
Aaron (Denver)
Michael Kim, I know your jealouse I picked Aaron Hill up as a free agent in week 1 of my fantasy baseball league. I'll see your Pena and rais you a Hill
Paul (West Palm Beach Fl.)
Is it true that if the Vikings don't get Favre they are going to go after Vick?
Dana Jacobson (11:14 AM)
paul, haven't heard it but someone will
Moderator (11:14 AM)
cliff lee 1 run of support in his last 36 innings pitched!
Jake (Boston)
Cover Hockey for once in your lives.
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Any chance of a full Cold Pizza reunion any time in the future? How about a where are they now?
JJ ( Cleveland, OH)
Worst officiating I've ever seen.
Michael Kim (11:15 AM)
Aaron, I'm jealous. I don't have Pena. Wish I did. But I have Cano, Theriot and Asdrubal Cabrera for my middle infield spots.
Shawn (P-ton, IN)
Cuban wanted to be the Cubs owner??? Im not sure why... he can't take losing in Dallas let alone a team that hasnt won a world series in a century...
Dave (Utah)
Adam (Orlando), it's the playoffs, there is no other sport in which the officiating goes in the tank upon the arrival of the playoff season. The leagues stars get all the calls, and there always seems to be a "blown" call in more than one playoff series.
Jay Crawford (11:15 AM)
dont know about that johnny. thea is a reporter host for entertainment tonight and new mom, very busy on the left coast and kit is knee deep in momhood too. 4 kids or something like that! and freelance tv host as well
Austin (Kansas City, MO)
Not to be a homer or anything, but no mention of Zack Greinke? 6-1, 0.51 ERA. Why?
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Does Favre really mow his own lawn? C'mon Michael, I don't believe that.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Dana is great TV!
Adam (Orlando)
Jason, what do you think of Glenn Davis shoving that kid on the Orlando sideline?
Jeff (Ohio)
Lowe doesn't get any credit because he pitches for Atlanta and Johan pitches for New York. Simple as that. New York only wins or loses, nobody beats them unless they beat themself (at least if you listen to the media).
Michael Kim (11:16 AM)
Calvin, actually he does. And when he can't he has Danny Noonan come over and mow his lawn.
julius (springfield ma)
vick would be a even better option than favre i hope that is true
Thom (Atlanta)
All the calls LeBron is getting seems like he should be playing for Duke
J-Mac (N.Kingstown,RI)
Do ya think that the Pens need to turn up their aggresiveness on D in game 7???
julius ( springfield ma)
i agree with ryan that is the worst thing i have seen in sports in a long time cuban should be banned for 2010. to call someone a thug is un called for an apology is not enough
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Well sure it's great TV. Everyone stops to watch a train wreck.
damon (Porsgrunn, Norway)
I was a Cuban fan until last night...he should be banned from courtside for all games next season....dinner isn't enough
Josh L. (Fargo, ND)
If the Viking sign Favre they are going to lose fans. Vikings fans don't like him and not just because he was a Packer. My mom said that she will be a Seahawk fan for the entire time Favre is a viking
Aaron (Denver)
Blackhawks vs Red Wings could be a great series...Kane was unreal last night.
Demontron Hamlett (Houston ,Tx)
What the big deal about what Mark Cuban said its basically true we remember what the nuggets did to the knicks in the brawl I dont know why the nuggets try to act tough are they think they have street cred ball players need to just chill and stay in there lane we remeber what happen to Paul Pierce in the club (stab)
Sean (Denver)
Why is it Skip can never tell if a player made contact or not on an NBA court, does he need glasses? Other than that his assesment of the game was dead on.
Shawn (P-ton, IN)
i think he and the braves are getting the attention they deserve because weve set back and consistently seen the mets blow everything... is it any wonder that the mets cant win with the best pitcher, arguably, in the game??? they cant win a playoff spot with a considerable lead
Ray
Dana, Jay Did you know Dana that the Cardinal is the state bird of Ohio ? So you are wearing Buckeye colors today with your Cardinal red oputfit afterall. It does look nice !
Brian (Michigan)
No, Adam. You're the first.
Mike (Indy)
Nope Adam it's only you.
Brian (Michigan)
Class is not a requirement for a NBA owner. Lacking class is not against the rules.
Moderator (11:17 AM)
someone want to tell Josh his mom might not have her hand on the pulse of Vikings-nation? we're getting a lot of chatter that Vikes fans would like to see Favre in purple
JOEY (LOUISIANA)
DO YOU GUYS THINK LEBRON REALLY WANTS THE CELTICS? LEBRON TENDS TO STRUGGLE WITH HOWARD DOWN LOW. HE WOULD HAVE A BETTER SERIES AGAINST THE C's.
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Michael Kim is on fire today. How about a Fresca?
Will (WV)
Having a rivalry in sports within a relationship is the greatest of all! I am a hurricane/Wolverine fan...my girl is a gator/buckeye fan!
Jay Crawford (11:17 AM)
sure he does, without garnett!
Jason (Kent)
A ban for 2010? That's a little extreme.
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Thanks for the update, Jay. You just did the where are they now segment. Tell Dana we still love her though.
Adam (Orlando)
JJ, it feels like the superstar rule is really in effect. Rondo should have gotten in trouble twice in the Chicago series, and the consistency is waaaaayyyy off throughout the league.
Michael Kim (11:18 AM)
Will -- no love for your Mountaineers? Or did you transfer allegiance to UM with Rich Rod?
Jay Crawford (11:18 AM)
no problem...
Aaron (Denver)
Love THE RIOT...solid ball player who is showing off a little power as of late.
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
Blackhawks have quickly cured the Bulls hangover.
Paul (West Palm Beach Fl.)
Dana/Jay/Michael did any of you see Woody in Tonys seat in around the horn and if did do think it was great?
Jay Crawford (11:18 AM)
i missed it...was it good?
Josh D. (Milw,WI)
Did Skip ever play ne sports? high school, college or otherwise? We would love to know from actual exp.
tracy (oklahoma)
i blame green bay for all this farv stuff, why didnt they respect what he has done for them over the years, why wouldnt they make him the quarterback coach
Denny - Rankin, IL
3 things I never want to hear a report on again: Steroids, steroids, and steroids. Followed by Brett Favre.
Matt (Minnesota)
surprise surprise its all basketball talk eventhough the hockey games last night were twice as entertaining
Jay Crawford (11:19 AM)
very good baseball player in hs. loves to hoop today. avid runner. competitive marathoner, and workout MACHINE!!
Jason (Kent)
What's the next game the Cavs will lose?
Shawn (P-ton, IN)
Cuban crossed the line, but why do we forgive players but not fans/umps/refs/owners?? He acted out of line and was extremely upset over what just happened. He was wrong, and hes admitted it.
Kerry (Cleveland, O)
Austin, not a homer, we need to talk about Greinke, he is having a magical year, his only loss is 1-0, INCREDIBLE
Jay Crawford (11:19 AM)
they'll lose at least one in the next series.
Michael Kim (11:19 AM)
I've had a chance to interview The Riot several times. Huge LSU football fan. I made my exception for him to my "No Cubs Allowed" on my fantasy team.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Orlando has surpirsed us all season long. Remember they beat the Sixers without D Howard. They will win easily tonight.
Dave (Utah)
Mike Kim, very true, but even if Favre didn't have the passion for playing; he would still have be a part of football somehow (ie: coaching, TV analysis, etc).
Sean: (Denver)
Kenyon was clearly distracted and not in his game. Mission accomplished Mark. Now, lets see what happens in Denver. Oh, yeah, Nuggets need to make free throws.
David52 (Nevada)
It's sad to say, but Mark Cuban is the future of the game. There are all these young multi-millionaires who can go out and purchase sports franchises. It's truely pathetic to see him lose his temper like a child on the sidelines; Stern needs to hand down a very "stern" punishment to Cuban.
Paul,Warwick,RI
BIG BABY DID'NT DO ANYTHING WRONG!THE KID DID'NT BELONG THERE.
Devin (Baton Rouge, La)
But they dont know what there getting into if they get Farve because his only fuel is to get back at the gm of the packers
Andy (Canton,Ohio)
I think LeBron and Co. do not care who they play next. They are playing at a high level. Sure the Pistons and Hawks were not that great but I think the Cavs made them look horrible.
Paul(Warwick,RI)
Derrick Fisher is sloooow.GO ROCKETS
Ramses (Miami FL)
I rather the Cavs play the Magic.. a complete team then a injured filled Celtics... regardless if they move on, it will always be an excuse if they win over the celtics.
James Denver
Loosing last night and 3rd game of Hornets series will end up being good for the Nuggets. They dont have a ton of Playoff experience together so every game builds on that and close games build team charachter. It looks like LA Houston series is going to last a little while longer so long lay off would of slowed Denvers momentum. Plus we all remember what happened after the Nuggets last loss the 58 point masacre in on Bourbon street.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Told you about D Fish Jay he's done.
steve (plattsburgh)
INSTEAD OF FAVRE IN MINN WHAT ABOUT JOHN DAVID BOOTY HE WAS A GOOD QUARTERBACK
Lloyd - -Corinth, Texas
I think you guys are missing the point of why the Mavs fans were so crazed last night. Frustration from the last 3 years and most of all the fact that 60 plus fouls were called in game 3?except the last one? and then 50 plus fouls last night including 7 technical fouls. The refs have been brutally bad in this series on both sides. As a Mavs season ticket holder for 6 years I am proud of the fans that are rowdy, loud and proud but I am disappointed with fans that sometimes take things a little too seriously. Whatever is said about Mavs fans, comparing them to Philadelphia fans that cheered Michael Irvin being carted off the field and throwing snowballs at Santa Clause is irresponsible and most of all, just flat wrong. GO MAVS!
justin(ohio)
Magic wins and will take the series Boston just looks tired plus the magic will give the cavs trouble
Aaron (Denver)
Kobe is going to drop a minimum of 40 tonight
Cody (shaftsbury, vt)
It wasn't until cuban that we started talking about the mavs.
Andy ( Canton,Ohio)
I do not think that LeBron and Co. do not care who they play next. They are playing at a high level and are making average teams look horrible.
Craig (Buffalo,NY)
as part of the RED SOX NATION, I would love to see the Blue Jays keep this up. Parody is great in baseball. just ask the Rays.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Aaron Brooks had the game of his life and Shane Battier had miracle three's , Kobe returns to the Black Mambo tonight, I have the Lakers winning easily.
Jay Crawford (11:22 AM)
agreed craig.
Austin (Kansas City)
Thank you Kerry, and to everyone else, how many people have actually got to SEE Greinke pitch a game? It becomes a comedy show when you watch the other hitters.
EDB(Seattle)
Cuban is a just reflection on most fans. This is just the first time where an owner is more a fan then a business man.
Carl (Hattiesburg, MS)
When does football season start again??! Sigh...
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Aaron Brooks is like Tony Parker? Tony Parker must be cussing in French right now!
Jason (Kent)
I say game 3 against Orlando. It will be the Cavs first test in an away game.
Jay Crawford (11:22 AM)
not soon enough carl!
Mike (St. Louis MO)
How are the Rockets playing better without McGrady AND Yao?
Jay Crawford (11:22 AM)
great question!
Lance (New York, N.Y.)
I feel for Johan Santana. The bullpen and the lack of run support was the difference between him winning and Tim Lincecum winning last season (just two extra wins here and there would have gotten the Mets into the play-offs). I hate to see him lose another Cy Young because of the incompetence of his support. What a slap in the face to the best pitcher in baseball...
Marcus (Upper Marlboro, MD)
If Favre comes back this year I really think im going to cry.
Justin (Dickinson, ND)
Skip is right Kobe will be ridiculous after only scoring 15 points last game
Scott (Colorado Springs)
I think the Rockets will win game 5. They are playing with their backs against the wall, their superstars are out and they have to step it up. Damn it Skip that is what I am trying to say, stop stealing my Thunder!
Erick (Queens, NY)
Rockets are just that rare bad matchup for Lakers, plus Brooks is this years Rondo, emerging star.
Viva(Indianapolis IN)
I don't get the outrage with steroid users. Many still watch the games regardless of stuff like this coming out. If they were really outraged they wouldn't be watching to begin with.
Matt (Minnesota)
Let's rename the show "NBA take"
Tom Asheville,NC
Right now K.C. Royals pitcher Greinke is the best pitcher. Im not sure if he can get 20+ wins because the Royals dont hit that well.
Hez (Beaverton, OR)
I am with the Rockets they have effort and grind effect. I'm saying this now and have been saying this. Orlando & Denver in the finals and I'd love to see it just so most everyone can eat their words about the anointed finals of LA/CLE
Dave (Utah)
I was a huge fan of Clemens growing up, and respected how intimidating he was on the mound. But his inability to be honesty and upfront with everything in regards to his steroid use has broke my heart. He is just another "juiced" athlete to disappoint me.
justin(ohio)
Lakers win...C'MON everyone knows Kobe is goin to have a great game
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Dana, more east coast bias. No Chad Billingsley talk. Doesn't he have more wins than Johan Santana?
Paul (West Palm Beach Fl.)
Jay, It was hilarious,It was on April fools day. If you can get a copy of it, it is a must see.
Dana Jacobson (11:23 AM)
calvin, ummm were you watching? billingsly was the 3rd pitcher we talked about!
Jay Crawford (11:23 AM)
cool! i bet it was.
Jeff (Ohio)
Black mambo? He doing a dance or something?
Jay Crawford (11:24 AM)
black mamba!
J-Mac (N.Kingstown RI)
Boston has to put up or shut up in game 5... Not decide to play after they are down by 13...
Jeff (Ohio)
Wow Will, couldn't have picked any worse teams. You're a fan of the 2 most disappointing universities in the NCAA.
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Big-time Vikes fan here. Look, the QB situation in Minny is weak right now. What better than to have a former Packer lead the Vikes to the Promised Land? There's no better way to stick it to Packer Backers than to beat them with one of their own legends.
Matt (Minnesota)
It absolutely bugs me how little coverage the NHL gets. All I hear is how athletic NBA players are when, ESPN did a study and ranking hockey as the 2nd most athletic sport only behind boxing. The caps-pens series has been amazing and all you can talk about is the NBA.
JJ ( Cleveland, OH)
How about those Cavs? We are looking really promising out there! I LOVE IT.
Charlie (Concord CA)
The S.F. Giants for some reason is never on your list of topics. I have heard about east coast bias but this is rediculas
Thom (Atlanta)
What do you mean the kid didn't belong there? Did he have a ticket?
Moderator (11:25 AM)
no one respects the NL West these days, Charlie
Dana Jacobson (11:25 AM)
Matt I can't argue with you about balance of nhl coverage vs other sports - a lot of that is based on fan interest in numbers. AND we've had a hockey segment i believe every day of the 2nd round and possibly the first. I know sportscenter has. Folks, don't lump everyone together. You aren't going to get all the hockey coverage you want if you're a diehard on here...sorry.
Denny - Rankin, IL
Yes, Woody's 1 day reign as Around the Horn moderator was a great change of pace. All hail the mute button!
Dave (Utah)
Not to bring up another Network, but I would love to see Howie Long, Terry Bradshaw, and Brett Favre on the same early morning NFL football show. Who wouldn't wanna see those guys on gameday?
Brian (Michigan)
Black Mamba. Most contrived nickname ever. Nobody calls him that.
Michael Kim (11:26 AM)
I'm with you, Thom. Here's the deal. It was no big deal. No one was in the wrong -- until the father said something. Now, we're all dumber for hearing it.
Dana Jacobson (11:26 AM)
I wouldn't do anything to mess with the fox crew - they're great together and strahan fit right in
Jeff (Ohio)
Lets not forget, Lincecum wasn't on a team of mashers when he won the Cy Young. I'd bet his run support was nearly as bad as Johan's.
Hez (Beaverton, OR)
I'd also like to point out that I think if you want to find Dallas' manhood and toughness Shaq and D Wade buried in a time capsule back in 05 somewhere under Miami Arena.
Brian (Kansas City)
Greinke, is the best pitcher in Baseball right now. Leading Baseball with 6 wins and his only loss was a one run, four hil complete game.
J-Mac (N.Kingstown RI)
Hey this is not right about Big Baby Davis getting a rap for pushing that kid @ courtside... I mean to date that is the "BIGGEST" shot he has ever hit in his life and to not let him show his enthusiasm is unbelievable......Man I am in big trouble then because my lil' brother went thru the wall after that shot went down...
Dana Jacobson (11:27 AM)
Jmac - well said
Michael Kim (11:28 AM)
Brian, the guy has been on fire. I worry how Soria's absence might affect the bullpen.
Thom (Atlanta)
Word Michael Kim
Carl (Hattiesburg, MS)
Last night was the best hockey game I've ever seen (Caps vs Pens)!!!
Andy ( Canton,Ohio)
Matt, I think that has to do with the fact that until recently the NHL has not had that face of the league after Gretzkey retired. With Crosby and Ovshkin their now I can see that changing.
Paul(Warwick,RI)
Brooks,Battier, and Artest together are better than Kobe,Fischer,And Odom.
David52 (Nevada)
Charlie (Concord CA), Bonds is out of the Bay, so no one in America (other than Nor Cal Giants fans) care about the Giants, sorry.
Dana Jacobson (11:28 AM)
paul, right now they're healthier...but kobe is like 2 guys so its almost like 4 on 3.
Jason (Kent)
it's not like he pushed the kid on purpose.
Lee (Texas)
haha Aaron Hill is not even in Kinsler's league right now
Jeff (Ohio)
Kobe self-proclaimed himself Black Mamba, if there's something more sad then a superstar giving himself his own nickname, I haven't found it yet.
Nick (Chicago)
Dana, can the blackhawks finally get some recognition here? I think they have a pretty good shot at the cup
RJ (Boston)
I love it how often folks from MS, TN, WV are chiming in about (BEST Hockey Game EVER!) Nope, sorry guys, just your normal playoff action. You should really watch more often.
Dana Jacobson (11:30 AM)
Nick, melorse gave em love on our show yesterday and more on sportscenter over night. i'll talk with barnaby about them. i can't wait to see the schedule. if the wings are playing em i'm going to do my best to get to a game!!!
Michael Kim (11:30 AM)
RJ, what their opinion doesn't matter? :-)
Tom (River North)
Doesn't Shaq give himself new nicknames all the time? Do you consider him sad?
Dana Jacobson (11:30 AM)
Tom, shaq can do whatever he wants
Dave (Utah)
Dana, come on be honest. How hilarious would it be to hear Bradshaw and Favre hack it up in their country boy southern "drawls"?
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
I again say I have no problem with what happened with Big Baby. I still think a little apology would make for a nice gesture but now the child may pay for the sins of the father.
Dana Jacobson (11:31 AM)
Dave, i'm not sold on it...but i wouldn't turn it off!
JJ (Cleveland, OH)
Cant wait to see big baby's face and see who he pushes when the cavs roll over the Boston Celtics.
RJ (Boston)
I'm not saying that at all... I'm saying they should watch more HOCKEY!!
Hez (Beaverton, OR)
Michael I said that Royals would contend and no Soria is going to hurt I think it'll be a year long thing. Just like Jimmy Rollins SINKING my fantasy team. Cuban needs to call up his mom and say something.
slick (gifford,fl)
it's funny how the steroids thing keeps peeking out in sports. pretty soon nascar is gonna be the next sport decimated cuz u gotta have strength and stamina to hold those cars in that speed for so long.
Dana Jacobson (11:31 AM)
slick, it's already been discussed a few times!
Austin (Kansas City)
Michael, He has pitched maybe twice over the last couple weeks or so, He really has not been a factor anyway. We need him completely healthy for a possible run later on.
R Mom (Spring Valley, NY)
Dana, You wouldn't mess with the Fox Crew?!!! That Bill O'Reily is unsufferable!!!
Dana Jacobson (11:32 AM)
R Mom, fox sports sunday show
Aaron (Denver)
If you want to see a fan "get hit" just ask Bill Curtis and Mike Ditka how it's done....
Danny (Tonasket, Wa.)
RJ, not everyone who lives in those states were born there. A lot of Northeasterners have moved to those states and grew up with hockey.
Jason (Utica, MI)
Shaq is fantastic for the game. He's a dynamic personality that the game will surely miss when he retires.
Dana Jacobson (11:32 AM)
what jason said!
Michael Kim (11:33 AM)
Aaron, I think you mean Mike Curtis (former Colts LB), correct? Bill Curtis is the guy who does those "I just found the internet" commercials for AT&T (?)
paul(Warwick,RI)
Dana, kobe takes the shots of two players!he still has'nt proved tyo me he can put his ego aside long enough to lead a winning team
WIll (WV)
Michael....I am from Miami...gotta stay true to my Canes...although...I am hoping that WVU makes a run this year in the Big east
Dana Jacobson (11:33 AM)
paul, he has. in this playoff run even. LA is where they are b/c he's had more confidence in his teammates - they've given him reason to have it. right now though, bynum, hurt odom, he may have to do it by himself
John ( Austin)
Glad to see the Royals getting some chat time but what about the job Trey Hillman has done? seems like a great guy and a really underrated manager.
Dana Jacobson (11:34 AM)
good point john
Jeff (Ohio)
Danny, RJ's from Boston, he's not expected to actually think about other people outside of Boston.
Dana Jacobson (11:34 AM)
ouch!
Michael Kim (11:34 AM)
My updates producer, Wash, is a grad of The U. He said he really can't argue about the Canes bashing they take because he admits they haven't been able to walk the walk.
Aaron (Denver)
No Michael, Bill Curtis is mean...did you see the fear in Flody jr's eyes in that commericial?! Thanks for the correction.
Hez (Beaverton, OR)
I believe Dwight Howard/Dwayne Wade/LBJ will as a collective replace that entertainment value void Shaq will leave.
Tom (Asheville NC)
Glen Davis did not push this kid that hard,if im not mistaken Glen also bump into the ref and nothing is being said about that. This kids father is making a mountain out of a mole hill
Lee (Texas)
Will, i recently hung out with jacory harris and he seemed real focused and ready for the season to start. He should be good for them next year
RJ (Boston)
I'm not Ripping people from those areas.... I am agreeing that they should WATCH MORE HOCKEY because it is always this good in the playoffs!! Geex....
Moderator (11:37 AM)
whoa, Matt in Minnesota, you just got a talkin' to from Dana on the air
Michael Kim (11:37 AM)
RJ -- I was just kidding. It's been a great series. But like the Bulls-Celtics series, it will lose its luster in the future because it wasn't for a championship.
Hez (Beaverton, OR)
Can I high five Matt? He just made my day getting hockey talk on ESPN. He might be the coolest guy in this chat. After me and Michael Kim.
RJ (Boston)
Thank you, Mods!
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Dana shout me out like that, you could be like Adam I love you too
Jason (Kent)
I've tried to watch hockey. I just can't do it. I'm with skip
Michael Kim (11:39 AM)
Hez -- Matthew Barnaby is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Far cry from his on-ice demeanor. Like Rob Dibble for me. Used to hate him when he played. Worked with him here years ago and found out he's got a heart of gold. Great guy.
Thom (Atlanta)
Hockey needs to put that glow (it was orange and blue I think) around the puck like they used to do on TV
Thom (Atlanta)
Hez, is Beaverton under a beaver dam? (South Park reference)
Danny (Tonasket, wa.)
RJ, that is my point too, if they are born Northeasterners, they probably are watching more hockey. Satellite TV is everywhere now. Even Melrose thinks these are great playoff series not just run of the mill series
Craig (Buffalo,NY)
Hockey Love an hour and 59 minutes into the show!!!!!
Tom (River North)
RJ is right. The NBA has had exactly one good series so far (Bulls-Celtics), while hockey has had a number of great series and games. Playoff hockey is intense all the time. Can't wait for a Wings-Hawks matchup.
Paul (West Palm Beach Fl.)
The Penguins/Caps is living up to the HYPE
Scott (Holland, MI)
How can you not watch hockey? The speed, the physicality, the expertise of the star shooters like Alex the great, Sid the kid, Zetterberg. Just an awesome game!
Mark (Chicago)
Thanks for some hockey dana!
Lance (New York, N.Y.)
Dana seemed a little agitated with that. It's almost like a kid asking "may I have ice cream" over and over again before a parent finally says "OKAY!!!!" Enjoy the sprinkles, Matt.
torrey (houma,la)
the cavs are destined to win it all and i think they can repeat labron is that great he dont need a lot of help to win like kobe he has a alstar team in his beanch
Slick (Gifford, FL)
i say thats part of the price you pay to be courtside. Big Baby just got caught up in the moment, no need to apologize for that! People need to get outta this "Rush to sue" type mentality. The boy probably thinks its pretty cool to have been right there for that defining series moment. Imagine all the people Shaq has dove onto! They weren't complaining. sounds like Dad lost a bet and is a little salty.
Aaron (Denver)
Does this mean Aaron Brooks is going to hook up with Terri Hatcher?
Patrick (Fairfax, VA)
Barry with the best mullet in the game
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Don't question my wifey Dana like that
Paul (West Palm Beach Fl.)
I think it is time for David Stern to put his foot down and start suspending Cuban from going to games just like you suspend a player and he should be suspended longer and longer for each offense just like they do the Technicals with the players.
Aaron (Denver)
A real sports fan will appreciate hockey. I did not watch until 5 years ago. The speed intensity and toughness exhibited night in and night out on the ice deserves the respect of even the casual fan.
Mike (Indy)
Rockets entire gameplan had to change with Yao out. So when they played an entirely different style it caught the Lakers off guard. Phil will make the right adjustments
R Mom (Spring Valley, NY)
Of course the Vikings are interested in Favre. It's not like Jackson'or Rosenfils or that other guy worthy comparisons to the Hall Famer Bret Favre. I think it is more interesting to note the fact that Favre is willing to forfeit his $20 million "401 (k)!!!"
Michael Kim (11:42 AM)
Slick -- you're name and your last sentence make sense to me now.
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Deep at 2nd base? There is Chase Utley and nobody else is close.
Austin (Kansas City)
Michael, I am wanting to go into sports journalism. Any advice?!?
Jay Crawford (11:43 AM)
check the numbers cal. there are some solid 2b these days! chase is my choice, but the position is deep now.
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Michael, isn't it Bill Kurtis with a "K" not a C. You should get him on the show. Those commercials are much better than that stupid Bruin one Dana wanted us to see.
Mike (Happy Valley, Pa)
Anybody who doesn't have an appreciation for watching hocley needs to attend a game LIVE. TV does that sport no justice. Hockey LIVE is phenominal!
Tom (Minneapolis)
I think to truly appreciate Hockey, you must go to a game. I never was a fan growing up, then went to the Gopher Hockey games...now I cant get enough
Umor (detroit)
Finally some hockey talk.Ovech and crosby are living up to the hype.
Dana Jacobson (11:43 AM)
Calvin, you are BITTER today - what's up??
Brian (Michigan)
I didn't even know hockey still exists. Does Detroit still have team? With uniforms and everything?
Jon (Toledo)
Personally I'm kinda liking the Rockets-Lakers series now. That last game was a shocker.
RJ (Boston)
I remember the RedWings Avalanche match-ups of the 90's, the Devils and Flyers of the nineties, the Stars and Sabres in '99, the Ducks and All comers in '03. the Canucks Avs in '04. The B's Canadiens at all times for 100 years.... Yeah, these playoffs are great. THEY ALWAYS ARE!
Jay Crawford (11:44 AM)
absolutely tom! it is the best sport to see live, the worst sport to see on tv. the speed, power and excitement just dont translate. that's all thats kept the nhl from busting into the big 3.
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
I tried watching the Celtics/Magic series, the Denver/Mavs, Cavs/Hawks, I just can't do it. HUGE let down after the Celtics/Bulls series. I'll stick to HAWK-EY. Even the Penguins/Caps series has been awesome.
Michael Kim (11:44 AM)
My advice Austin is to pick another field. Med school, perhaps? Jobs are tough. But if you really want it, I suggest you go to the world's first and finest journalism school down the road in Columbia, MO.
Brian (Michigan)
Those commercials feature the worst athlete acting I've ever seen.
EDB(Seattle)
So Hockey gets a segment that was shorter then a cy young segment for an award months away. Its stuff like this that makes people think ESPN doesn't care about sports they don't broadcast
Patrick (Fairfax, VA)
Shoot i didnt watch hockey really until Ovechkin
JD (Boston)
Forget the glow puck- HDTV is reviatalizing hockey on TV since it is easier to see the puck now more than ever.
STEVE (PLATTSBURGH)
this is how great hockey is the league put it on a network only 66% of people get it
Jay Crawford (11:44 AM)
the script carries it though
J-Mac (N.Kingstown RI)
I went to a fight 1 time and a hockey game broke out.....
Rock37 (Ny)
Lakers Rock
R Mom (Spring Valley, NY)
Dana...I was joking about the fox crew. Not about Bill O'Reily, though. That man is highly insufferable!!!
Moderator (11:45 AM)
J-Mac...blowing the dust off that joke, huh?
Umor (detroit)
Arron Hill got me wanting to listen to some jimi hendrix after the show.
Thomas ( Trinidad)
Back to the NBA. These playoffs have been great so far with the different matchups however i got tired last night of the refs blowing the whistle for really dumb inconsistent calls. Can someone tell me were the two flagrant fouls warranted?
Dana Jacobson (11:45 AM)
EDB, and anyone else who wants to complain right now. No one is every happy. Let's suck it up, and do something other than complain. you want hockey - you have a chat, write something about hockey not just that it doesn't get coverage and we can talk about it. all sorts of mediums out there.
paul(warwick,RI)
I was never a favre fan,but now i'm so tired of him;iwant him to go to Minnesota like he wants, play for the vikes on monday night football, and throw 5 int's to Green Bay's terrible secondary.
Flemming (Copenhagen, Denmark)
Nobody is close to Utley? Come on.......Eckstein is gritty and scrappy and all that other stuff and he has TWO rings. How many does Chase have....oh wait...
J-Mac (N.Kingstown RI)
I loved the ole' playoof days of the Bruins vs Whalers....
Hez (Beaverton, OR)
sweet blind holy man why would the Jets want Plastico Burress?? I mean seriously? Argh...
Johnny (Scranton, PA)
Maybe Calvin is a Pens fan too.
James Denver
Hockey gets the lowest rateings out of all major sports for a reason. Your network let it goto a no name VS network for a reason. Nobody cares about hockey!
Carl (Hattiesburg, MS)
I never said it was the "best hockey game ever", only that it was the best one I've ever seen (maybe 20 games)
Moe (Killeen, TX)
lets b real, we only watch hockey when nothing else is on
Tony (VA)
THOM that was the worst thing that they did on TV was put the glow on the puck. I guess u just have to have good quick eyes in order to know where the puck it. everyone I watch the game with always knows when the puck gets thru the goalie and into the goal cuz our house ERUPTS!!!
Slick (Gifford, FL)
hockey is in need of a boost, a rejuvination if you will. start with recruiting someone other than barry melrose to talk about it all the time.
Thom (Atlanta)
People need to stop taking stuff so seriously, you have to be able to laugh at some things (like Birdman's dunk contest). Is this dad really trying to sue Glen Davis??
Michael Kim (11:46 AM)
Carl -- I think it was a great game. No need to apologize.
Dana Jacobson (11:46 AM)
Tony the glow puck was a bad bad bad idea. unlike the xfl and the run/tackle off for the game ball
Patrick (Fairfax, VA)
he has brought soo many people to games and captures peoples attention like many of the greats
Danny (Tonasket, Wa.)
The father of the kid knocked down is just trying to get his "15 minutes of fame". He knows he should have kept his kid further off the court. But with 24 hour sports stations............
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
Dana, forget hockey talk. When is the lacrosse talk coming?
Jason (Kent)
Big baby just came off as ignorant in the interview after last game.
Moe (Killeen, TX)
the cavs will not win it all. True they r running through the playoffs, but they havn't really played anyone with a winning record
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Michael Kim SANCHEZ TO BURESS!!!
JJ ( Cleveland, OH)
Dana and Jay what are your thoughts on the OSU and Michigan game this year? OSU's got this right?
Josh D. (Milw,WI)
WRONG MOE!
Tom (River North)
Why do people keep saying ESPN let hockey go? It was the league that was chasing money after the lockout and went to Versus.
Dana Jacobson (11:47 AM)
thank you tom
Scott (Colorado Springs)
I will only watch hockey if the Red Wings are in it, other then that, I would rather watch NASCAR.
Craig (Buffalo,NY)
RJ from Boston, I remeber Stars-Sabres from 99 as well. NO GOAL!!!!!! Thank You for letting me relive my past.
Jay Crawford (11:47 AM)
really?!?!?!??!?!?!?
Moderator (11:47 AM)
wow, that bad, huh Scott?
Jay Crawford (11:47 AM)
jj!!!
Dana Jacobson (11:47 AM)
see craig, that's productive!! thank you
Brian (Michigan)
Anything involving the XFL was a bad idea.
Scott (Colorado Springs)
I miss the XFL!
Jay swagga (Beantown )
hockey isnt that bad of a sport to watch on tv people need to just give it a chance
Jeff (Ohio)
If you're only watching the puck, you're missing tons of action.
Dana Jacobson (11:48 AM)
come on the start - that was awesome!!!
Austin (Kansas City)
Thanks Michael, med school isn't quite for me. Talking about sports however, right up my alley!
J-Mac (N.Kingstown RI)
Way to go Dana, this is 1 of the best shows on ESPN if ya don't like what ya see too bad like a team worthy of talking about....
Michael Kim (11:48 AM)
Austin, it beats working for a living!
Umor (detroit)
No way JJ
Jay Crawford (11:48 AM)
you have to watch everything. the problem is the field of action is bigger physically and the game is faster than any other sport that is big on tv.
Hez (Beaverton, OR)
As an Eagles fan I will say I love that Jim Johnson is getting better. i want him to stay around as long as Dick LeBeau need that blitzing D. PS... Tom and Dana I agree too. Lock outs any sports = BAD.
l stewart (san antonio texas)
lost a lot of respect and admiration for cuban, this is ridiculous. the man has a family now, turn the tables and ask yourself mark; how would i feel if anyone said those things to my mother, mother-in-law, wife, or daughter? very sad. I think DJ is correct though, this is just people looking for a reason to be IGNANT, yes, IGNANT. everyone grow up and enjoy the games.
RJ (Boston)
Hockey's biggest problem is that it only naturally translates to those who are from icey areas... which ain't all that many in the grand total. It's very reason for being, is its own biggest obstacle for fandom.
Steven (Macomb, Mi)
I think it is absurd that Roger Clemens can expect us to beleive that he had nothing to do with taking steroids. He is not only a cheater but a liar. I hope they nail him now.
Thomas
Big baby owes no apology that fan is just bitter because the magic lost
Mike (St Louis MO)
Why is Garcia and Farve the same age but nobody talks about Garcia being to old?
Jay Crawford (11:49 AM)
because garcia has never retired, or talked about it for the past 4 years
Tom (Minneapolis)
Jay you said that watching hockey on tv was the worst...wow not even close after Scott (from CO springs) would rather watch Nascar
Jay Crawford (11:49 AM)
not counting nascar of course.
Mike (Happy Valley, Pa)
What up Jay Crawford?!?
Jay Crawford (11:50 AM)
what up mikeeeeeeeeeee! we are!!!!!!!!!!!
Jason (Utica, MI)
That's the problem! Its hard to see the darn puck!
Tom (River North)
Dana, did you ever go to games at Yost Ice? Those games might be the best fan experiences I've ever had.
Paul (West Palm Beach Fl.)
Did you not post my Big Baby post because SKIP is going to steal My punch line?
Jay Crawford (11:50 AM)
nope...
Scott (Holland, MI)
I think hockey doesn't get its due because it is mainly non American players. We are catching up but Mike Madano is the best we have. If we had a scorer to rival Ovechkin... different story
Vince McMahon (NY)
I miss saying "This is the XFL!"
Hez (Beaverton, OR)
I will say that if u watch hockey in HD it is a HUGE improvement. I enjoyed it before but HD makes it sooooooooooo much more enjoyable the casual fan can enjoy it. Okay I'm done with hockey I swear!
Jay Crawford (11:51 AM)
hez, absolutely!!!! soo much better.
JJ (Cleveland, OH)
I hear ya Dana theres a bunch of whiners on here.
Chad (Las Vegas)
I'd rather watch hockey than Big 10(11) sports! JK Jay and Dana!
Michael Kim (11:51 AM)
Guys, gotta run... Good stuff today. See you tomorrow. Same bat channel, same bat time.
Jay Crawford (11:51 AM)
lol! fair point chad. pull some slots for me today eh?
Jon (Toledo)
Im looking forward to seeing this new kobe documentary. Not a diehard kobe fan tho, but he seems really interesting aside from the ref working on the sidelines
Carl (Hattiesburg, MS)
Don't even compare Garcia to Favre!! No comparison!!
Scott (Colorado Springs)
I am just not into Hockey, I love to play it, but I hate to watch it on TV.
Jay Crawford (11:52 AM)
ive played my whole life scott. love to play, almost as much as baseball. watching it just makes me want to play.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Apologize for what so this kid can make millions.
RJ (Boston)
If you all think it's hard to see the puck while sitting on your couch, try chasinng it on skates with a 220 lb caveman slashing you with his stick!! It's a fantastically skillful, courageous and fun game.
Jay Crawford (11:53 AM)
great point rj...the average fan has know idea the skill level involved in playing high level hockey
Jay swagga (Beantown )
it should be another crazy game at the garden tonight
Tony (VA)
Isnt signing a jersey and sending it and saying my bad...apologizing!!! JUST A THOUGHT
Jay Crawford (11:53 AM)
all apologizies include the words, "i'm sorry."
steve (plattburgh)
yeah big babby should say I'm sorry for crushing your playoff dreams
Jay Crawford (11:54 AM)
ha!
Lee (Texas)
The father of the kid is obviously wealthy with seats like those. I think ths is just a case of a spoiled kid throwing a fit and wanting his dad to do something about it.
Calvin W (Clearwater, FL)
The kid is an Orlando fan. Why would he want a Celtics jersey with Big Baby's autograph on it?
josh w (wisconsin)
why is this glen davis story still a topic. let it go skip
Tom (Minneapolis)
i want to know who Big Baby is cussing out in the stands after he makes the shot..he runs right over to the other end looking into the crowd?
Justin (Dickinson, ND)
I'm with Skip that dad should forget about and be proud people are talking about!
Aaron (Denver)
The XFL did give us that sweet camera angle from behind the huddle...
Jay Crawford (11:55 AM)
great pt aaron
Jason (Kent)
Hockey talk and now derby. What next? Soccer.
Adam G. Tampa, FL
Calvin Borel is the last topic = * (
Danny (Tonasket, Wa.)
From an old hockey fan, Jay and RJ, it doesn't matter how much skill is involved, interest by the wider population has to do with how it translates to TV.
Jay Crawford (11:56 AM)
danny, absolutely! ive never taken a fan to their first game though without them being hooked! must see it live.
Woody ((Tyler, TX))
Dana and Jay what do you think of the Big Baby situation. I think that the fan is clearly in tha wrong.
Chad (Las Vegas)
Lee (Texas) is correct. We should be bashing the dad for allowing this behavior not the kid or Big Baby.
Jay Crawford (11:57 AM)
agreed woody!
Dana Jacobson (11:57 AM)
chad, obviously i agree....
Thom (Atlanta)
TIMEOUT!! TIMEOUT!!!! AAAHAHAHAA!!! Did Doug just sing!?!?!? HAHAHA!! Living in Atlanta I listen to 2 Live Stus all the time, when you get back to Atlanta you gotta sing on air HAHAHA! Mad props!!
Jay Crawford (11:58 AM)
alright room...peace out! catch you tomorrow with WOODY PAIGE!
Lance (New York, N.Y.)
I love how Skip has a code of "sports chivalry" as evident by the "LeBron-Cavalier for life" comment yesterday and the Calvin Borel comment today. That said, everything is a business and it should be treated as one. Sorry Skip, but there is no chivalry in sports.
Steven Boston, MA
Why do you talk about big baby but not talk about how the NHL took away the suspension on Scott Walker for the sucker punch on Arron Ward?
Jon (Toledo)
You kno whats funny about the whoile big baby thing? If the dad is the man next to the boy in the blue shirt, he wasn't even watching the "raging bull" coming at his son. How bout that parenting?
Jason (Utica, MI)
I think the "stews" should buy a horse and enter it in the derby...call it "Skip to the stews"
Dana Jacobson (12:02 PM)
jason loved it thank you
Slick
Did i get last comment?!?!?!?lol
Dana Jacobson (12:03 PM)
no but you were close
Dana Jacobson (12:03 PM)
talk to you all tomorrow!
