DANNIMAL!What are your thoughts on Marquez vs Mayweather Fight does it seem like a mismatch? I mean Marquez is great but hes going up nine pounds from his last fight what are your thoughts?

I do think Marquez is at a disadvantage going up that much weight against an opponent who is naturally bigger and faster. But Mayweather has been away for 17 months. All that said, I think Mayweather should be the clear favorite.

Mayweather is unranked because he retired and hasn't fought since December 2007. If he beats Marquez and looks like we all remember him, obviously he will go back into the rankings. Does he go back in at No. 1? I have no idea. Let's wait and see what happens in his fight.

If you have never seen Andre fight, you haven't looked. He's fought on HBO, Showtime, PPV undercards and Fox. That said, he is a far supoerior boxer to Miranda and really good. I think it's a good test for him but I think he will pass with flying colors and beat Miranda in solid fashion.

I went to see it last weekend with my wife. I enjoyed it (as did my wife). That said, I didn't hear too much that I hadn't heard already over the years directly from Mike in our interviews or conversations. But it was a very well done movie and if you have any interest in Tyson at all, it is a must-see film.

He's gotta be insane. He was going to get $200,000 to fight a hobo but said no because he only wants a "big" fight that doesn't exist for him at the moment. He can't even fight anywhere in the US but Texas at the moment. The whole idea for him to sign with Top Rank was to get exposure and activity. Top Rank was doing its job but part of the onus is on the fighter. And Valero has blown it.

I do think he has a ton of potential. I have seen him fight as a pro and he was a top amateur and Olympian. Say what you want about where some of his name opponents are in their careers, but for him to fight guys like that in his first eight pro fights is extremely impressive.

Arum is talking up Pacman-Cotto after the June 13 Cotto fight but I will believe it when I see it. Arum has been known to suddenly change his mind or drop names for his own reasons. We'll see what happens.

In regards to Arum not releasing the PPV buys, someone on the boards speculated that since (according to Dan's calculations) it didn't surpass Mayweather vs. Hatton, it would give Mayweather bargaining leverage in a Pacman vs. Mayweather fight because Mayweather did better buy/moneywise against a common opponent.

I doubt that is the reason because there's no way Mayweather-Marquez does bigger business than Pacquiao-Hatton. The bottom line to Pacquiao-Mayweather, if Mayweather beats Marquez, is that Floyd and Manny need each other for the biggest fight in the sport no matter what BS their handlers try to spin.

I think you need to put down your drug-filled pipe. There is no chance whatsoever at all that that fight could go on a free network, not when it might generate $75 million in US PPV revenue. What network is going to pay that? Please, do your homework on basic economics.

He is throwing a lot of crap against the wall to see what sticks. There is nothing firm that I am aware of. Roy's big problem is that no US network gives a crap about his fights anymore and the PPV business for his rinky-dink matches are a disaster financially, so he's kind of stuck unless he wants to go overseas where folks might be more interested in his fights than they are here. That is one of the reasons there has been talk of matches with Danny Green in Australia or Clinton Woods in the UK.

Sounds like you have a good day planned! As I have said I do think Ward wins, but Miranda is dangerous because of his power. If Ward wins, he'll be in position for a title bout, maybe against Balzsay. Froch would be less of a possibility.

He's been out of action for awhile. He pulled out of an HBO fight because of kidney stone and has had his own Winky Wright Boxing Boxing School moments with his promoter. However, there is a chance he may fight on the undercard of the May 30 Berto-Urango card, but nothing is solid yet.

I think everything Bob says is for bargaining purposes in a situation like this. Just remember one thing -- he can say what he says and it may be newsworthy, but PLEASE take it with a grain of salt and don't get too caught up in it.

Have you gone back and watched Pacquiao's fights in consecutive order, from say Barrera I thru Hatton? It's really remarkable how much he's improved over the course of those fights. He almost looks like a completely different fighter now.

I haven't done it in sitting but having covered those fights it is very clear he has gone from a one-handed fighter who used only his left hand to a two-fisted puncher who can do serious damage with both hands. That is what Freddie Roach has worked on with Manny since they got together.

Not entirely. I don't think Mayweather-Marquez is going to be an all-time slugfest but that is not Mayweather's game against anyone. I have no problem with a boxing match.

Obviously, if he beats JMM and Pacquiao, his legacy is enhanced. But he still will not have beaten an elite welterweight. He doesn't have to beat all of them. I would settle for ONE of them. Take your pick: Cotto, Williams, Mosley, even Margarito if he is allowed to fight again.

Agreed. Johnson vs. Vargas is a very solid scrap, especially with Vargas taking the fight on short notice. It's not very often you get two undefeated American heavyweights facing each other on ESPN2. I hope it's a good fight. The matchmaker, by the way, is Star Boxing's Ron Katz.
