Werth. And I love Hart, who is a bit of a slow starter traditonally. Keep in mind last year at this time he only had 6HR on June 1... so he's right in line with last year

Matt, some folks at ESPN are calling James Shields a sell right now. His strikeout rate was down in April, but he also faced Boston two or three times, against whom he typically struggles badly. In May his strikeout rate was right in line with what it typically is. Think he's a hold for now?

Berry - I've always been a strident anti-veto guy. Then along comes this trade: 1st place team sends Ryan Theriot and Mike Gonzalez to Last place team for Jose Reyes. Please talk me back from the veto-loving edge.

it's not a good trade by any stretch,but I don'tthink it's vetoable. Theriot will hit cose to .300 and steal 25 bases. Is the dif between him and the currently DLed Reyes a mid level closer? If Gonzalez saves 25more games, which could (most likely won't) but could happen... it's liveable. Bad trade, yes. Vetoable? No.
