Melrose re-joined ESPN after coaching the Tampa Bay Lightning for the first part of the 2008-09 season. who do u believe will win game 7 in the stanley cup finals?
Rob (New castle, Pa.)
Will they swallow the whistle on Friday or will they call it close. Either way who would benefit from either situation.
Shawn (Washington, DC)
I guess Im more annoyed than disappointed or worried. It seemed like the Red Wings were sleep walking during the first two periods and didnt play with a sense of urgency until it was too late. Granted the Penguins and Fleury played great, but the Wings kind of sat back and let the Penguins dictate the pace. I shudder to think what the final score would be if it werent for Osgood.
Ryan (Toronto)
Do you agree that it was a high stick?
Anthony (Douglas(MA))
Barry, If Hossa gets a ring with the Red Wings, Do you think the Bruins will pursue him again and if so will he take the money? And does that put the Bruins over the top next year?
sean kenmore, ny [via mobile]
hey barry, gotta believe the flyers trade away some offense and land jaybo. who do you think gets the boot out of philly? and who winds up in the net
Matt (Long Island)
Barry... Tavares or Hedman?
Daniel (CT)
Why is home ice so important in the playoffs? It's just another building?
Barry Melrose (3:10 PM)
The amazing thing to me is that neither team has played well on the road. I can understand losing on the road, but they haven't even played well.
tim (chicago)
Barry, do you think the Hawks are in a good spot for the future?
Barry Melrose (3:11 PM)
I think the Hawks are in a great spot. They are one of the best teams in the West. Obviously goaltending is an issue, and if Huet can't play the way they envisioned he would, they may have to sign a replacement. They are a great young team and the city is behind them. Their best years are ahead of them.
Barry Melrose (3:12 PM)
I hope Game 7 is great. I hope we all get a great game that will be talked about for months to come. Thanks for your questions everyone!
