Ian, I think the biggest issue with Boss is that he sort of wore down in terms of blocking last season. But as a red-zone threat, yes, I think Gilbride will find different ways to use him. He's still not a polished player -- but he's getting there.

People seem concerned about the Giants' WRs lack of height. If #1s like Reggie Wayne, Greg Jennings and Lee Evans (amongst others) can do it at 5-11, why are people worried about Hakeem Nicks at 6-1?

Call it the Plax syndrome. You get spoiled with a 6-5 racing down the field making acrobatic catches. Hakeem Nicks is a younger, faster version of Anquan Boldin. There's no problem with his size.

I was just thinking about Lewis the other day while doing some all-decade research. Very underappreciated player -- but a good one. I think it's too early to know if Celek's a so-called No. 1 TE. But he was clutch down the stretch for the Eagles in '08. No reason to think he'll take a step back. And Ingram's a tremendous athlete. We'll see how rusty he is.

Matt, isn't it premature for so many Eagles fans to claim that McNabb finally has weapons? Westbrook remains the only proven weapon. Jackson has shown potential, but only had 2 TDs as a WR last season; while Maclin and McCoy are promising, young players, it is still very rare for rookies to have significant impact in the NFL. McNabb is looking at two years to win a super bowl and history tells us that he will probably have to do it without these Philly proclaimed "weapons".

I don't think it's all that rare for rookies to have a big impact these days. Players such as Donnie Avery, Jackson, Forte, Adrian Peterson (his rookie season) and the list goes on. I think McCoy can have the most immediate impact. Rookie running backs can put up big numbers. Lots of evidence to support that. So I do think McNabb has a lot of weapons.

I think they'll try to utilize him right away. I think he'll be sort of an H-back type guy. Very athletic, so you can line him up all over the place. I think he could make an immediate impact. At least that's what Gilbride and Pope think.

I think Bradshaw will get his chance early in the season. I just know the giants love the Brown kid already. The trust level with Ware is a little lacking. Same thing for Bradshaw. I'm with you, though. I'd love to see Bradshaw get 10-12 carries. He has devastating quickness and speed.

If I'm Jason Campbell, I'm not signing anything during the season. If he has the hot hand early in the season, maybe the Redskins try to extend him. I don't think he'd want any part of that. He loves his teammates and head coach. He doesn't trust management -- nor should he. But if he has a great season, I think the Skins will definitely try to make an offer.

Matt, I for one am sick of the lowballed expectations for my Skins. Don't these people know that Washington fans only have the months leading up to the season to be excited about the possibilities...don't sully that. I was wondering if you could comment on the Skins' secondary this year. Little has been made of the loss of Springs, but he is among the league's elite when it comes to guarding big receivers. With a lot of talented guys with big question marks (Smoot, Rogers, Horton, Hall) and an improved front seven, how do you see this group performing throughout the year?

Springs had sort of a lull in his career after a fast start. But you're right, he did an excellent job against big-time receivers. Ask T.O. about Springs. That said, Springs spent too much time in the training room with injuries. Rogers has a ton of ability, but he goes through some rough stretches. If Hall doesn't get spoiled by the money, he's poised to have a big season. I think the Skins have the second or third best secondary and NFC East -- and that's pretty good.

You could make an argument for all four teams reaching the playoffs, but obviously that can't happen. As of now, I do think the Cows will reach the playoffs. And no, Romo's not going to be replaced. He has a check from Jerry for $30 million. You don't back out on those type investments.

If something happens, it will occur during training camp. When a starting cornerback in another camp is injured, Brown could suddenly have more value. (see Jason Taylor)...that's what the Eagles are waiting on. If nothing happens, they'll bury Brown on the bench -- just like they did Lito.

It's not like teams across the league -- or even division -- are loaded at safety. Quintin Mikell and Q Demps should be fine, but they don't scare anyone. LaRon Landry and Chris Horton make a pretty good pair. But I think Phillips and Johnson are right up there with the best in the division -- and Brown's good security. So no, I'm not particularly worried about that position.

I think the Giants want to have plenty of ammunition of the middle because they wore down there last season. Robbins was off to a great start last season. Both guys are a little banged up right now. In a potential trade, Robbins has the most value. You might see something happen during training camp if everyone else is healthy. But I'd like to see them keep Robbins.

John, I do my best to even things out over the course of a year. There are times people would accuse me of being a huge Skins homer. I've done of ton of interviews with players such as Orakpo and Thomas this offseason. And I have a blockbuster interview lined up with Haynesworth during training camp. I'm based in Dallas, so obviously the Cowboys are a little easier for me to see on a weekly basis. But it all evens out over the year -- or at least I'll try to make that happen. But I appreciate your concern.

I was watching him pretty closely during training camp. He appears to have pretty good quickness and I think he'll be a versatile player. So yes, I think he could be in the rotation for 12-15 plays per game.

I keep hearing all the stuff about Edge to the Eagles. I don't think it's a good fit with that zone-blocking style. He's not the same back he was in Indy (obviously), and he won't be happy as the third back. Personnel people think Brooks has taken a major step backwards, and they don't think his leadership would offset his deficiencies on the field. Deuce just needs some money to bail him out of the car business.

I think Stacy's a serviceable player. But yes, I'd worry a little about Shawn. Have we suddenly forgotten about him not showing up at training camp because of depression issues and then having back problems. I trust that he's received help on both fronts, but it's still something that has to be on everyone's mind.

I think the Cowboys better figure out a solution at left guard. Kosier was hurt last year and Montrae Holland isn't missing enough meals. I like Cory Procter, but he's better as a spot starter -- and drummer for Free Reign.

Eden:I think he'll have a huge impact this season. He doesn't have to think as much anymore, so he just reacts. I could see him having a seven INT season. Might be a good pick for breakout player of the year. I have to get a coffee re-fill to justify my use of the free WiFi at this place. Give me three minutes and I'll be back. I think Ross is just becoming a very steady player. Nothing that flashy, though. Four picks and a strong season. Not the breakout year I'm predicting for Phillips, though.

Coming off their second year from major knee surgery, what kind of expectations can skins fans have of Carlos Rogers and Rocky McIntosh?

McIntosh in a contract year is a good thing. I think he'll return to form this season. And Rogers is the big, physical corner that a lot of teams covet. I think they could both have strong seasons.

How bout Jenkins? It's risky to put anyone back there. But the return game has killed the Cowboys for years. Having a threat back there would add another dimension. Zuriel Smith, where have you gone?

Love what Free Reign's doing because they're actually writing some music. Very impressive. And my man Leonard Davis is actually taking some lessons on the bass this offseason. He's becoming a pretty steady presence in the band. And Colombo as lead singer brings a tremendous amount of energy. He uses his 6-8 frame wisely. Davis is a throwback bass player who projects a lot of power with a cold stare and his 6-6, 350-pound frame.
