Send your questions now and join Levy on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. ET!
what sports do you play.
Steve Levy (5:39 PM)
jalen, i play all of them...none of them well...sorry for being a little late folks, just got out of our sportscenter meeting...here's a hint, might have something on the show tonight about the worst teams in sports...that spurred on by the recent fine play of the washington nationals...ok moving on now
is 6:00 dinner time?
Steve Levy (5:40 PM)
zack i eat around 8:45p, the good stuff at our cafeteria gets put away around 9pm
Do you think that roy halliday will help which team he goes to. And do you think they will win the world series?
Steve Levy (5:41 PM)
he'll obviously help but teams who are way back in the standings now should beware...guy can only pitch every 5th day...if you are 7 or 8 games back now of say 1 or 2 teams, might be too close a shave
Travis Steinhoff: Coloma, Michigan
Do you think that Brett Farve is the key to the Vikings getting over the hump and finally making it to the super bowl?
Steve Levy (5:43 PM)
even with brett and if he plays great, i still think super bowl is a reach...shoot for the conference championship game and everything after that is a bonus...
How much do you get paid as a Sportscenter anchor?
Steve Levy (5:44 PM)
$6.75 an hour but we get really good benefits
Hey steve do you think the flyers have a shot at the cup with the additions of pronger and emery even tho he is a bit of a headcase
Steve Levy (5:45 PM)
pronger is a great pick-up...they will contend in the east...not an emery fan...
Do you think A Rod will break Bond's record of homeruns before his career ends?
Steve Levy (5:46 PM)
yes...and people will always wonder about both of them
Edwin (Coconut Creek (FL))
Hello. how are you doing
Steve Levy (5:46 PM)
edwin, i'm fine, thanks for asking...
Who is your favorite athlete? I would like to know!
Steve Levy (5:48 PM)
interesting question...i'm too old to root for teams and players so i root for good guys...i'm a mike lowell fan for example...i always root for shaq, the game will miss him greatly whenever he hangs them up
Janet from Texas
I am sick of your sportscasters calling anyone over 40 old timers and or referring to us as geezers. We baby boomers are a large part of your audience. The experience we baby boomers have brought to sports is phenomenal, do not sell us short, We deserve more respect than that.
Steve Levy (5:49 PM)
janet understand we're just having some fun and since most of us are over 40, we're poking fun at ourselves too...
luol deng chicago illinois
do you think the houston rockets have a chance at making the playoffs this year
Steve Levy (5:50 PM)
luol, i'd like their chances better if they played in the east
Will J (Portland, OR)
Steve, how long does it take for the average SportsCenter anchor to get to that position?
Steve Levy (5:53 PM)
there is no average, everybody here has a different story as to how they got here...
austin sioux falls sd
do u think all calls in baseball should be final or do u think umps should be able to change the calls. just to let u know i am a twins fan
Steve Levy (5:56 PM)
austin, yeah tough call last night...i like instant replay the way it is right now in baseball, my fear is that it will change and evolve into every close call being scrutinized by replay...then if every call was definitely called correctly there would no arguments on the field and none of those great umpire ejections...i'd miss that
Matt ryan and joe flaco had a major impact on the 08 season do you think that matt statford and mark sanchez will do the same in this coming season
Steve Levy (5:57 PM)
impact yes, major, i'm not sure...first you have to look at the teams...lions...as for sanchez who knows how much he'll even play this season
Brian (Eglin Air Force Base Florida)
Hey steve... I work the 3-11pm shift down here on eglin so usally after i get out and hit the gym i always catch you guys on the 1am show... you do a great job with it... i know at 1am that isnt the easiest shift to work... But anyway my question for you is.. Do you think the red sox make a big splash during this trade deadline?? With tim wakefield going on the DL it seems like the sox are in a tougher situation to move some younger prospects, considering most of them are pitchers and personally i believe pitching wins championships and if one more guy goes down you could really be relying on those younger guys to help make a push into october!!! Thanks again sir
Steve Levy (5:59 PM)
brian, thank you for doing what you do and for watching...i think the sox will be fine even if they dont make a move...the pitching has been fine and they're not going to hit .220 as a team the rest of the season the way they have all of july...stay safe bro...
Do you play any fantasy sports?
Steve Levy (6:01 PM)
nope, i'm just living the dream instead..
Have you heard that Roy Halladay might be traded?! I was shocked too, until I heard Brett Favre may come out of re-retirement to play for the Vikings. As an ambassador of Sportscenter here in a chat, what do you have to say for ESPN's lacking coverage of these huge stories?
Steve Levy (6:03 PM)
cory, all i can say to that is you must be watching the wrong channel...we only talk about halladay and favre...and if you dont believe me tune in to sportscenter tonight at 11pm...see you all then, thanks for the questions...
