Send your questions now and join Williamson Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET!
Grizzly Wilkin (Denver,CO)
Who is more likely to make an impact this year in the AFC West, Ayers, English or Jackson??
Bill Williamson (4:04 PM)
I like English. I think he will make a big impact. he has a lot of help around him, and I expect him to have a big rookie season.
Cameron (Sandy, UT) [via mobile]
What do you think about the Broncos' D-Line? Going into the new 3-4 scheme, it doesn't seem like Darrell Reid will be able to hold down the middle.
Bill Williamson (4:06 PM)
I think it is a major weak spot. I really have trouble thinking Denver's defense is going to improve much because of the line.
Do you think the Broncos would persue Vick?
Bill Williamson (4:07 PM)
I really don't, but if Orton is really bad, I guess it could be an option.
Todd (Eugene, OR)
Hey Bill. Thanks for your reporting. I had a question regarding Michael Mitchell. Have you seen or heard much of his performance in practices? If so, what are the chances he gets much playing time this year? Is Marshall thinking about putting Mitchell at SS or FS? What does that mean for Huff? Thanks!
Bill Williamson (4:10 PM)
I hear he is coming along. It may take a whille, but the Riaders think he has a chance to play as a rookie.
Tim (Offutt AFB,NE)
What is the attitude there in Raider camp? Does it seem like they want to win and quit being laughed at? I am a die hard fan, and I just want to see us kick butt!!
Bill Williamson (4:12 PM)
I think the Raiders are focused on getting better. It was a very professional camp when I was there last week.
should i get happy about football being around the corner being a kc cheifs fan? i just cant take 2-14 again.
Bill Williamson (4:13 PM)
Sure, why not? The Chiefs will make some improvements. I'm not syaing they will be contenders this year, but it is on the upward swing there.
Fred (Greenville, SC)
Have you heard anything on the status of Knowshon Moreno?
Bill Williamson (4:15 PM)
The talks are very slow. It could take awhile.
Brian (San Diego)
Hey Bill, since you were recently in Napa I was wondering how Mario Henderson looked, since he looks like he will be the starting left tackle this season. In other words, how is Russell's blind side protection looking?
Bill Williamson (4:16 PM)
I think Henderson is going to be the guy. He may have some growing pains, but Tom Cable is a believer in him.
Francisco Gutierrez (Greeley, CO)
How does Merriman look?
Bill Williamson (4:17 PM)
He is in very good shape. The team is being careful with him, but the team feels very good about him. I don't expect any problems in his return from a knee injury.
KING KEVIN (Raider Nation)
I have an ongoing debate about the QBs of the 2004 class. Let's imagine Eli stayed a Charger, Big Ben was drafted as a Giants and Rivers ended up being a Steeler. Can we all believe Eli would have ZERO Superbowl Ring, Big Ben would have 1 and Rivers would have 2?
Bill Williamson (4:18 PM)
Great question. We could talk for hours on that one. I really don't know the answer, but it is great fodder.
Shawn (San Diego)
Bill, I am obviously happy that the Chargers look to be the best team in the AFC West this season, but I honestly miss the drama of a SD-KC game in KC and a SD-QAK game in Oakland. How long do you think it will be untill some measure of "parity" returns to this division?
Bill Williamson (4:20 PM)
There was pretty of drama in that kansas City game last year. If the Chargers don't get that onside kick, everything changes in the AFC West. Denver wins the division and Shanahan and Cutler are still in Denver.
Jim Bowers (Indiana)
Any update on Tyson Jackson's contract?
Bill Williamson (4:21 PM)
The Kansas City Star wrote the other day he could get in this week. It's been quiet.
Vincent R. (California)
Are you going to Broncos camp?
Bill Williamson (4:22 PM)
Bill,do you think the afc goes through new england,if they stay healthy????
Bill Williamson (4:26 PM)
Yes, I'd say the Patrots are the team to beat in the conference.
Hey Bill who is the team to beat in the NFC please answer thank you.
Bill Williamson (4:27 PM)
I really like Atlanta. They are really set up for a long run.
Bill - thanks for all the updates. In your camp outlook regarding the Chargers camp you mentioned that LT's age and how's he's hit 30. But you didn't mention how he looked in camp - soooo how does he look? Fully healed? LT of the old? Or just plain ol' old? Thanks again
Bill Williamson (4:28 PM)
He's very focused and he is healthy. i think you'll see a bounce-back season.
Whats the deal with Jarvis Moss? I heard rumors he was thinking about retirement
Bill Williamson (4:30 PM)
He was. He left camp for three days. But he returned Tuesday. He will have a difficult time making the team.
SprungOnSports (Long Island)
How is Todd Haley handling training camp so far?
Bill Williamson (4:31 PM)
He runs a tight ship. This guy means business. It's much more strict than Herm Edwards' camps.
Is Norv Turner on the hot seat this year?
Bill Williamson (4:32 PM)
Only if the Charegrs play very poorly and don't win the division. I don't see that happening.
Francisco Gutierrez (Greeley, CO)
What do you think of Mike Nolan?
Bill Williamson (4:36 PM)
I think he is a solid football man. He can help, but he'll need more talent to succeed in Denver.
Kevin (San Diego)
I am thinking that Manning signing an extension will greatly influence the Chargers in their intent on extending Rivers sooner than later. What are your thoughts. Also, how is LT looking in compairison to last year or the year before.
Bill Williamson (4:38 PM)
I think the Manning signing could really kick-start the Rivers talks. Now they have a model to work off of.
will (san diego)
Is merriman wearing blue and gold next season?
Bill Williamson (4:39 PM)
The Chargers showed themselves last year what Merriman means to them. I don't see any way he doesn't stay.
I'm going to have a beer in 2.5 hours, if it was eastern time I'd already of had one
Bill Williamson (4:40 PM)
You seem to be a deep thinker, sir.
Craig G. (Fairfield, CA)
more productive: Chris Chambers or Vincent Jackson?
Patrick S. (Tulsa,OK)
Who do you think will be leaders after the season in Passing, Recieving, and Rushing?
Francisco (Greeley, CO)
What do you think of Antonio Cromartie tweeting?
Do you see denver pursuing another QB next yr weather Orton does well or not. Also do you think they have a chance at anderson or quinn depending on who doesnt start??
psunday (scranton, pa)
Sorry folks. There seems to be some technical issues. He answers are not being posted. Sorry, I will have someone check into it. We'll have to cut it a few minutes short this week. Talk to you next week.
