Jon Anik (12:52 PM)
How good was UFC 102? Great to be back with the fine masses of MMA Nation for another chat here at espn.com. Look forward to it every week. I'm startin' early and here for at least the next hour, so fire away.
Fred (Hoboken)
Was it just me or did the Ref ignore Leben's tap?
Jon Anik (12:53 PM)
It wasn't just you. Leben clearly tapped and I believe he even told Jake Rosholt as much later that evening.
Dan S. (Waukesha, WI)
JA. I won't be around for the chat today, but how does 102 stack up against other cards in recent memory. I think its one of the best, both recently, and ever. Your thoughts?
Jon Anik (12:54 PM)
Hard to determine its 'historical' place so soon after the card, but I thought it was outstanding. Certainly shaping up as one of the better cards this year.
Mitchell (ND)
Big Nog must have been really sick against Mir cause he looked completely different this past weekend, much better!
Jon Anik (12:55 PM)
Nogueira's chin certainly returned, I will say that. He is a legend and tougher than hell. I still question, as great a performance as it was, how Nog will fare against younger, fresher competition. I think I would favor Mir in a rematch.
Andrew (Newfoundland)
What's next for Maia?? Hopefully he doesn't end up like Leites...
Jon Anik (12:57 PM)
Maybe he should do HGH. Seriously though, he must stop training BJJ (he's the best) and put all of his focus into striking/stand-up. I think his best days are ahead of him, but we all wanted to see more than 21 seconds between those two.
Minotauro Nogueira (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
How's my limp?
Jon Anik (12:58 PM)
Haha. You almost fell warming up! But obviously it's not a factor once the action begins. Congrats on the bounce-back performance. Impressed.
Andrew (Newfoundland)
With Couture's loss, the MMA Live curse has to be gaining some steam?
Jon Anik (12:59 PM)
It certainly didn't lose steam. But I'm not a curse guy.
Joe (St. Louis, MO)
Jon, don't think I've been skipping out on the chats! I've been reading them via mobile phone for the last couple of weeks, it's just hard to type a question and keep with the flow of the chat from there. Where does Couture/Nogueira land in your rankings for fight of the year?
Jon Anik (1:01 PM)
Hey Joe. Thanks for reading. We miss ya. Certainly in my top 3 right now for Fight of the Year. Also think Couture and Nogueira's status as legends gives the fight a huge overall boost. Both so damn tough. Randy will not be finished!
Jay K. (Vancouver BC)
Couture has hinted (thankfully) at moving back down to 205. Who's a good first fight for him down at LHW?
Jon Anik (1:02 PM)
Gotta be honest. Not a young or fast guy. Not Anderson Silva. Perhaps Tito Ortiz. Not sure you'll see him fight any of the Season 1 TUF/Xtreme Couture guys like Stephan Bonnar and Forrest Griffin. Six fights is a lot. I'd like to hear some of your thoughts on Couture opponents.
Kristian (Wall Street, NY)
What announced fight are you most looking forward to in MMA?
Jon Anik (1:03 PM)
Rashad-Rampage. Not sure there's a close second right now. Rashad is EVEN money. Rampage -130. Can't wait.
Chance (Colorado)
What is your favorite UFC event of all time?
Jon Anik (1:04 PM)
It's hard to compare any other to UFC 100, having been there. But I'll say UFC 91, MMA Live's first Vegas UFC. Lesnar-Couture/Florian-Stevenson. For personal and professional reasons, I'll always remember that night.
Charlie (Philly)
Back after missing a couple of chats, what are your thoughts on Anderson Silva's camp saying that Hendo and Nate should fight before either get a title shot? I didn't know Soares was taking over for Joe Silva.
Jon Anik (1:06 PM)
Anderson Silva's camp may be trying to play matchmaker, but I sort of agree with the sentiment. I thought the title shot was Hendo's to lose, and that Marquardt re-opened the discussion.
Isaac (Denver)
Randy's record is 16-10 now. He's had some great fights but he's consistently an underdog and his record shows that he doesn't win them all. A blasphemous question but: Why is he such a legend? Would a younger fighter with a similar record attain such "legendary" status?
Jon Anik (1:08 PM)
He is an MMA pioneer, one of the guttiest fighters of all time, a great strategist, one of the first mainstream UFC champions, with a phenomenal disposition. Perhaps the greatest ambassador Mixed martial arts could have. That's why he's a legend. He's got it all, except Fedor's MMA record.
Jarrett (Louisville, KY)
How impressed were you with Duffee? He seemed freakishly athletic, similar to Brock Lesnar, only slightly smaller.
Jon Anik (1:09 PM)
A lot of the MMA media thought he was the best bet on the card. Now you see why. Certainly a Top 10 MMA prospect in my mind, across all divisions.
Jeremy (Washington DC)
The MMA Live curse is real, I see Evans loosing to Jackson.
Jon Anik (1:09 PM)
You guys are relentless! No curse.
Andrew (Newfoundland)
I think Couture would have better options at Heavyweight still. He could square off against Cro Cop??
Jon Anik (1:09 PM)
There's a good opponent. I'm for that.
Rachel - MMAHotStuff (San Francisco)
Does Demians loss to Nate (and the way it happened and how quickly) drop Demian down a few notches in your opinion?
Jon Anik (1:10 PM)
I think he certainly goes down a peg or two, but will be back. Just hoping he remains confident, because that is one dude I wouldn't want to be in the Octagon with when the door closes. Pick a limb.
Joey Oddessa (Costa Rica)
Hard to give Brett Rogers a chance. He beat a chinny and overconfidently 'club' AA. He has 10% chnace at best. Fedors an 8-1 betting favorite at BEST. Rogers has shown nothing but 1 dimensional power. Fedor wins any way he wants.
Jon Anik (1:12 PM)
Everyone seems to have a strong opinion on Fedor vs. Rogers. I understand why you feel the way you do, but I don't agree. I think Scott Coker is giving Emelianenko the toughest fight he possibly could. 6'5" 265 with great power and reach and an undefeated record. Who has Shane Carwin beat? You gotta beat someone to be someone. Go Brett.
Steve Mtz (New Mex)
Jonny Boy,WHats your take on the ufc implementing weight limits between weigh-ins and fight night the way boxing did. I think you'd see huge discrepancies in performances from guys like GSP,Lesnar, Alves.
Jon Anik (1:13 PM)
Certainly an interesting topic. I know fighters want nothing to do with a second weigh-in, and for more reasons than one. It certainly could effect some fighters, but these guys are all elite professional athletes and capable of adjusting.
Juan (Miami, FL)
Jon, I know I basically say this all the time, but When is MMA Live going to be on tv?I have high hopes one of the head honchos of ESPN will honor my request one day.
Jon Anik (1:14 PM)
I'm a betting man, and I think your request will be honored...one day. For now, you'll have to settle for our ESPNEWS Weigh-In coverage and SC hits from UFC PPVs. We continue to move in the right direction.
Leo (Boston MA)
I've been meaning to ask this for awhile but why on title fight why can't you be 1 pound over the limit. To me if you can be 1 pound over for everyother fight in the weight class should be the same for title fights.
Jon Anik (1:16 PM)
Hey Leo. I actually like that you can't be over for a title fight. It's for a championship, and a whole lot of residual income and notoriety thereafter. Gotta honor the weight class with a hard limit, in my opinion.
Isaac (Denver)
If given the chance is there any fighter in the UFC that you WOULD get in the octogon with? (Besides Kenny...)
Jon Anik (1:17 PM)
Are you serious, dude? I mean, it would be fun. But the UFC's worst lightweight would destroy me. I think Bellator's best 115-lb. WOMEN's fighter, Jessica Pene, would knock my head off. Thanks for your confidence though.
Finn (Seattle, WA)
Was at the fights on Saturday in Portland. Pretty electric in there. Did that translate to the PPV? The Randy chants were LOUD in there.
Jon Anik (1:18 PM)
Crowd sounded awesome, Finn, and we've had a lot of comments in the chat from people that attended. War Portland, Oregon! The UFC and others will be back.
Jim (LA)
How come no one mentions Okami as a potential matchup for Anderson Silva?
Jon Anik (1:19 PM)
You do. And a few media members always bring his name up. Me? He's at 4 or 5 on my list of middleweight contenders.
Jarrett (Louisville, KY)
JA, what are McNeil's sources saying about a Mir-Noguiera rematch? Now that Big Nog is healthy, I'd be interested in seeing that fight.
Jon Anik (1:20 PM)
I will ask him tomorrow. Send Franklin an e-mail at mmalive@espn.com. The F-Mac loves personal e-mails.
Kristian (RSE'S) (Bayside, NY)
Come on dude, this is a good question- If Rampage and Rashad's fight gets pushed because of the A-Team, will the UFC find a new opponent for Rashad or schedule a totally new main event?
Jon Anik (1:21 PM)
You trying to kill my buzz? We'd all like to see Rampage play B.A. Baracus, but not at the expense of that fight. The UFC needs that fight to headline the Memphis card.
Kyle Stoltz (Chicago)
Is it me or is UFC 103 a weak card? Beyond being happy to see Vitor back in the UFC not overly interested in the card.
Jon Anik (1:22 PM)
Kyle, It pales when compared to 102, but you do have the Swick-Kampmann fight. Not only a good match-up, but there are clear WW title implications. Also get another look at Junior dos Santos. And, you've got a free card on Spike three days prior with Maynard-Huerta. So to me, you're paying $55.00 for 10 UFC fights. Sign me up.
TIM (THOMASVILLE)
rampage should know better than to be fighting with a one foot out the door in hollywood. thats what chuck was doing when rampage took that belt!!!!
Jon Anik (1:23 PM)
Totally agree. Thanks for all the questions today, Tim. A lot of good ones. Far and away are busiest chat room ever today.
Justin (Tucson)
What was wrong with the refs/ ringside doctors in Portland? Letting Christ T. continue after a puke inducing, testical smashing kick. Not honoring Lebens tap, and Letting Ed Herman continue after it was apparent he was basically fighting on one leg? It's up to the officials to make sure the fighters don't have any long term damage - that's why they're there
Jon Anik (1:24 PM)
Couldn't have said it better. Pretty significant errors in judgment on all three occasions.
Erik (Austin, TX)
Don't forget Tyson Griffin vs. Hermes Franca at 103 Jon...that's a heck of a fight!
Jon Anik (1:24 PM)
MMA Nation...always there with the assist.
Pat (Chicago)
Franklin vs Belfort, Santos vs Cro Cop, Swick vs Kampman for WW number one contender, Koscheck vs Trigg.... What is the problem here? Good good card
Brendhan (Texas)
RE: UFC 103. You also will get 2-3 free undercard fights on Spike so you can factor that into your price too.
Jon Anik (1:25 PM)
The UFC 103 defenders have come out in droves! Gotta love this fan base.
Hayden (Logan, UT)
Why is Swick so underrated?
Jon Anik (1:26 PM)
GSP will show you in January. But Swick is underrated.
TGolding (Sacramento, CA)
Big Mo looked good considering he's coming off the knee injury. I don't see the UFC picking him up (too cartoony for my liking), but Strikeforce seems big on the extravagant entrances. Any chance he signs there?
Jon Anik (1:27 PM)
Well, if the UFC doesn't want the cartoony stuff, King Mo will tone it down. But sure, Strikeforce could make a run at him.
Hayden (Logan, UT)
That and GSP is overrated, I got Swick beating him.
Jon Anik (1:27 PM)
There you go.
Adam (Provo, UT)
Jon, can you post a video of you attempting to jump out of 3 feet of water? that's MMA Live Gold!
Jon Anik (1:28 PM)
Hahaha. That'd be pretty embarrassing. I did try it, and failed 6-8 times. Could barely get my ankles out of the water. Have some work to do.
Matt (New York)
In regard to the question about Couture being a legend, it also helps that he's never fought any bums. He came in and immediately fought top level comp, which is similar to Lesnar in that regard minus his first fight.
Damjan (Charlotte, NC)
Jon, que fumas? Kampmann has actually beaten some names and fought dangerous opponents, he's the clear favorite
Jon Anik (1:29 PM)
No doubt about it, Damjan. Kampmann is a legitimate threat. Just because I may not be picking him in the fight doesn't mean I don't think he's right at the top of that division.
James (Detroit)
Can I have whatever Hayden (Logan, UT) is smoking?
Dan (Chicago)
No way swick beats GSP!
Erik (AZ)
Jon, what is your take on who should fight anderson silva next for the middleweight title.
Jon Anik (1:31 PM)
I think Silva should have one more fight at 205 while Henderson and Marquardt square off in a No. 1 contender bout. But, if I have to give one guy the title shot, it'd be Hendo. Marquardt will probably beat whoever he fights in the interim to preserve his shot after Henderson gets his.
JAY (VA)
HENDO HENDO HENDO HENDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Taylor (Toronto)
Will GSP's next fight be in Canada? I've heard Vancouver and Toronto as well as a return to Montreal as possiblities for 2010 but is anything in the works for sure?
Jon Anik (1:33 PM)
I know the UFC would like to feature GSP in Canada, but Canada has perhaps the best MMA fans in the world, and a card without St. Pierre will do just fine. Also, because he only fights twice a year now, he is likely to fight in Las Vegas. January 2nd is the year-end card, and I bet it's in Vegas with GSP on it.
Kyle Stoltz (Chicago)
Is Big Daddy's fight at UFC 104 an exit fight if he loses to Spencer?
Jon Anik (1:34 PM)
I don't think so. Joe Daddy moves the needle. Also don't think he'll lose, for what it's worth.
Tyler (North Carolina)
Can GSP become MMA's biggest star? He's more marketable from a media standpoint than Fedor and could end up being just as dominate
Jon Anik (1:35 PM)
Absolutely. He's got all the tools, in and outside the Octagon. We are hoping to have him in Bristol on MMA Live soon. My girlfriend would do anything for that guy.
Isaac (Denver)
True or False: The CroCop of old will never make an appearance in the Octogon. His last few performances have been less than impressive...I think Dos Santos will destroy him. :-(
Jon Anik (1:36 PM)
True.
matt (Dulut)
Whats next for for Vera? Do you think a rematch with Jardine would be good for both guys? And where does Soszynski go from here?
Jon Anik (1:37 PM)
I think there's gotta be a bigger fight out there for Brandon Vera than facing Jardine coming off two losses. Usually guys who have lost their last fight fight each other, etc. Soszynski will be fine. He'll struggle with the elite, destroy everyone not on his level, and put on exciting fights.
Jason (Owosso, MI)
Thanks for the extra Twitter updates about the chat.
Jon Anik (1:38 PM)
My pleasure. That Twitter world is an interesting one.
Scott (Des Moines)
What's good Jonny? When's that girlfriend gonna become that wife...
Jon Anik (1:38 PM)
Hahaha. TBD.
Jason (Owosso, MI)
Florian vs Guida - who ya got?
Jon Anik (1:39 PM)
I will make a pick in November, provided the fight goes down. I think it's a good fight for both guys. Easy money for Joe Silva there. 85% of the fan base called for that match-up after UFC 101.
Jay K. (Vancouver BC)
So if Shaq were to do a "Shaq vs." show for MMA. Who would he challenge?
Jon Anik (1:40 PM)
Great question. I think, to piggyback on the Georges St. Pierre mainstream talk, that he should and would be the guy.
Robert (Milwaukee, WI)
Mamed Khalidov... when does he get a shot in the UFC or SF?
Jon Anik (1:41 PM)
Robert, you're my hero for bringing Khalidov into the chat. Not sure what the deal is for Poland's finest. A pleasure to watch fight, and another high-level, under-the-radar guy to monitor.
Evan (Dallas)
Shogun vs Machida thoughts?
Jon Anik (1:43 PM)
I know some guys in the chat today don't think he has earned this title shot. But if Shogun has his 'A' game on fight night, he has as good a chance as any 205er in the UFC to stick around with Machida. Will give a prediction closer to 10/24.
Isaac (Denver)
Is Mousasi tied up with M-1 the same way Fedor is? (i.e. Chances are good we'll never see him in the UFC)
Jon Anik (1:44 PM)
Fedor seems to be an MMA promoter as well as a fighter for M-1. Not sure Mousasi falls in that same category. And with all do respect to Strikeforce, I do expect him to eventually cross over into the UFC.
bryan (dayton, oh)
are we going to see gegard mousasi in the ufc anytime soon, and if so where do you see him in the lhw division
Jon Anik (1:44 PM)
Top 5 right out of the shoot.
drew (d.c)
who you got in tuf 10? i know hes a big fat guy but roy nelson seems like hes got a legit shot
Jon Anik (1:46 PM)
I like Roy Nelson, but I don't think he'll win the whole thing. I'll go with one of the four former NFL guys. You can pick which one. And anyway, shouldn't I be able to watch an episode or two before picking a winner?
Love Sauce (Phoenix AZ)
I aggree with your assesment of favoring Frank "Mur" over Nog as Mir's striking seems to be packing some power: I mean he stunned lesnar pretty with a shot....
Jon Anik (1:46 PM)
That's a good point. Brock did eat a clean shot or two before taking Frank down and finishing the fight.
Isaac (Denver)
How many words can you type a minute? Are your fingers on fire after this chat??
Jon Anik (1:47 PM)
It definitely starts to wear on you after an hour or so. Of course, Matthew Berry, who holds our espn.com chat record (13 hours I believe), wouldn't want to hear that noise. If I had the day off, I'd stay with you guys for three hours.
BobbyBuckeye (Cincinnati)
He stunned LEsnar with a knee. Not a punch. And Nog out boxed Randy, so that has to count for something.
Jon Anik (1:48 PM)
It does count for something. I just the younger, fresher guy will win the rematch, if it happens. And that's Mir. Perhaps it won't be as one-sided as UFC 92 was, but I don't like Nog in the rematch.
Ken (Pittsburgh)
Jon, which fight would you want to see most: A. Silva v. Randy, A. Silva v. Rashad (if Page drops out), or A. Silva v. Mir?
Jon Anik (1:49 PM)
A. Silva v. Mir
Charlie (Philly)
How about a MMA Live preview? How's in Bristol this week?
Jon Anik (1:50 PM)
The originals. Me, Florian, and McNeil. Hoping to have in interview with Dana White during the weigh-in. A lot of the show is still fluid at this point.
Kyle Stoltz (Chicago)
Will Fitch get another shot at GSP if he keeps winning?
Jon Anik (1:51 PM)
Yes. His toughness alone should get him another title shot. Of course, he's gotta beat everyone they put in front of him.
Ken (Pittsburgh)
Did you check out PBF 24/7 yet? Thats such a good show, and I'm not a big boxing fan.
Jon Anik (1:52 PM)
I used to be a bigger boxing fan than I am now. Just so difficult to follow both sports closely. Only so many hours. But I will watch 24/7. Have DVR'd the series.
Dan (Chicago)
What are your thoughts on the rumored 3rd card in November? Are they going to try to counter program with Fedor's debut?
Jon Anik (1:53 PM)
Quite possibly. And, as you all know, they've got the depth and the power to do it.
Isaac (Denver)
Who wins the PPV battle, the Mayweather fight or the UFC on the same night?
Jon Anik (1:54 PM)
It's a huge, huge night for Floyd Mayweather. If he can't---with the help of a popular Mexican star in Juan Manuel Marquez--- outdo a UFC PPV that lacks star power, it will really call into question his individual PPV drawing power. I think UFC 103 could very well do a bigger number.
Justin (Tucson)
Who would win a K-1 fight - Brock Lesnar or Cain Valesquez?
Jon Anik (1:55 PM)
Huh. Always bet on black. I mean Brock.
DJ (PGH)
Is Leben done in the UFC now?
Jon Anik (1:55 PM)
I don't think so. I think Leben still has appeal to the UFC. Needs a win, though.
bryan (dayton, oh)
what are your thoughts on kang vs. bisping, should be a good fight
Jon Anik (1:55 PM)
Was shocked that Bisping opened as a 110 underdog.
Juan (Miami, FL)
Jon,I read that the UFC is planning to do more events for 2010, and if the network deal comes thru, what's your opinion on too much MMA is no good for MMA?
Jon Anik (1:57 PM)
I think we need as much live MMA in as many million households per week as possible. UFC, Bellator, Strikeforce. For the promotions that do it right, the more the merrier. If the UFC is to one day be in the NFL's class (which Dana White thinks will happen), it must first continue to build a mainstream base for MMA.
Matt H (Phx, AZ)
Mark Kerr vs Lesnar. Who you got (the prime Kerr)?
Jon Anik (1:57 PM)
Always bet on Brock.
scooter (chicago)
you keep answering Isaac's questions. Is he as close to you as K-flo
Jon Anik (1:58 PM)
Hahaha. Every time I answer a question, 20 more pop into the queue. I guess Isaac is a combination of lucky and good today.
Kyle Stoltz (Chicago)
Brock vs. Fedor? Always bet on Brock still?
Jon Anik (1:58 PM)
Always bet on Brock.
Hayden (Logan, UT)
Is Dana White a good spokesperson for MMA?
Jon Anik (2:00 PM)
He has his flaws in terms of the way he approaches certain situations. But he is a brilliant guy, a tireless worker, highly funny, and no one has done more for MMA's growth in the United States.
Brian (Milwaukee, WI)
The 3rd November show, competing with Strikeforce, it's on abc/espn right? Don't pretend you don't know!!!
Jon Anik (2:00 PM)
I know nothing. You guys teach me stuff every week.
Kyle Stoltz (Chicago)
Does Vitor pose a bigger threat to Anderson then Hendo or Nate to you?
Jon Anik (2:02 PM)
Sometimes I feel like I'd answer this question differently, depending on the day. Today, I think Nate Marquardt poses the biggest threat to Anderson Silva. That's all I'll say.
Nathan (Sunnyvale, CA)
Is Bisping vs. Kang looking like the main event of 105 or do you think they throw some combination of Silva/Hendo/Marquardt on there?
Jon Anik (2:02 PM)
I think that could very well hold up as the main event.
BobbyBuckeye (Cincinnati)
Come on Anik, you can answer one long question...People still think Brock is overrated. Carwin just gave an interview saying he(Carwin) has knock out power and Lesnar hasn't knocked anybody out. Are you buying that? LEsnar broke the eye socket of Herring, turned Mir's face into blood pudding, and knocked Randy for a loop. Is Carwin dreaming?
Jon Anik (2:03 PM)
I like Shane's confidence and I like his power. But you're right about Brock. Two words: Mir's face.
Peter (new york)
Any word on how Kimbo did on Tuf?Heard rumors that he was impressive?
Jon Anik (2:03 PM)
I've heard some of those rumblings as well. 9/16 can't come soon enough.
chris (Portland, or)
Do you expect Vitor to drop to, and stay at 185? I love Hendo, but Vitor has to have the best chance to beat Sylva...
Jon Anik (2:04 PM)
Was surprised to hear Vitor express reluctance recently to fight Silva. He belongs at 185.
Tyler (North Carolina)
Which do you think is more likely to happen: Lesnar/Mir III or Penn/GSP III
Jon Anik (2:05 PM)
Great question. 30 seconds just elapsed. Umm. Lesnar-Mir III
Justin (Tucson)
Wha'st with the lack of respect for Nate??? He's basically destroyed everyone they've put in front of him since the Silva loss. The Leites match was all his, if not for the TWO points deducted, and he has serious power and skill - Nate the Great!!!
Jon Anik (2:05 PM)
Lack of respect? I just said I think he has the best chance of any current UFC middleweight to beat Anderson Silva.
Ken (Pittsburgh)
Baroni vs. Amir at UFC 106 was just announced... first impression?
Jon Anik (2:06 PM)
Definitely intrigued by the match-up. A good fight for Phil Baroni.
Andy (Ventura, CA)
You said you're most looking forward to Sugar/Rampage. I'm curious why not Brock/Carwin? Carwin doesn't have a chance? It'll be a boring wrestling match?
Jon Anik (2:07 PM)
That fight is right up there as well. I think Brock is the second most exciting (or must-see) fighter in the sport right now, behind Miguel Torres. The Octagon shakes when he warms up. Carwin definitely has a chance.
Tyler (North Carolina)
Will Forrest Griffin ever be a title contender again?
Jon Anik (2:08 PM)
I don't think so. And I think he's okay with that. His star power extends beyond MMA. He's one of a kind.
Kyle Stoltz (Chicago)
Best fighter to come out of the Ultimate Fighter so far?
Jon Anik (2:08 PM)
Maybe Rashad Evans. Hard to answer that one on the fly.
Justin (Tucson)
Florian!!!
Guilherme (São Paulo, Brazil)
But let's say Brock is not able to put Carwin on his back, which is not a crazy proposition since Carwin is just as massive as Brock. Wouldn't Carwin have the advantage standing up? I don't think there is a human being on earth that wouldn't be KO'ed by those bricks he calls hands.
Jon Anik (2:09 PM)
I think the stand-up is pretty close. I think Carwin's hands might be faster, but Brock has speed and quickness in other areas.
John (Memphis, Tn)
the nightmare
Justin (Tucson)
Does Carwin cut down to 265??? if not then Brock will have upwards of 25 pounds on him.
Jon Anik (2:10 PM)
Yes. Carwin is one of the bigger heavyweights, like the champion.
Jeff (Long Island)
Huge fan of your chats Jon! Marquart vs Henderson for the right to Spider?
Jon Anik (2:10 PM)
Thanks man. That's what I say.
Jon Anik (2:13 PM)
Alright, guys. Thanks for all the great questions. If I didn't get to you here, send your question to mmalive@espn.com, or find me on Twitter (Jon_Anik). We will see you tomorrow on MMA Live.Would live to dedicate this chat to my late uncle Jeff Grayson. He was the single greatest inspiration in my career. 9/25/49-9/1/09R.I.P.Until next week, be well and be safe. -JA
