Hysteria is here!
Reece (Columbus, GA)
Why doesn't anyone like you guys? Of course I'm referencing your comment on the main stage: "Nobody likes us!"
Hysteria (4:00 PM)
I'm assuming it's mostly due to me. A lot of people seem to think I talk a lot of trash. Some people like it, some don't. I think I've cut it down a lot, but some people don't see it. It's a lot of hate wagon with me, but it's mostly just trash talk.
Rese LaRue (Snyder, Texas)
How does tD manage to stay calm, and still manage to have a good time while in an intense game, and when 95% of the crowd is booing you?
Hysteria (4:00 PM)
We never expect to have a lot of fans after the previous tournaments. We don't expect cheers, or boos. We don't let it effect us. We play our best Halo when we're having fun. So we try to make that happen.
nima besharati (toronto,ontario)
how did you get so good at sniping? Did you only play the mlg playlist or team snipers?
Hysteria (4:01 PM)
I started playing in Halo 2. I'd always go for snipe and liked doing it. I always liked doing it. And it just carried over into Halo 3. I seem to have it a lot for my team and that helps.
Thomas (Chicago,IL)
Do you think it's better to be aggressive and move all around the map, wait until something happens, or let them come to you?
Hysteria (4:02 PM)
I think sometimes it can depend on the situation. A lot of the time, you want to be more aggressive than passive, but you can't force something to happen.
Taylor (Missouri)
How do you guys plan on getting the first back to back win at the next event?
Hysteria (4:03 PM)
We don't want any of us to get too cocky after winning. We're for sure going to LAN once, maybe twice. After not LAN'ing before Columbus and doing it before Dallas, we learned that we need to do that before a tournament.
Dragull (Brazil)
Hey Hysteria, first, congratulations for the entire season so far.I really wonder, Do you call your teammates by the name or by the alias? If by the name, who is Justin, SK or Pistola?
Hysteria (4:04 PM)
I definitely call them by their real names, but I call Pistola because of Pistola or 'Ola because SK and him have the same first name.
Jonathan (Jamaica)
how good does it feel to be able to call yourself an mlg pro?
Hysteria (4:04 PM)
It's pretty cool. But I think the coolest part out of all of it is the paychecks, for sure. It's a cool title, but it's because you have something to show for it.
David (Atlanta, Georgia)
I play MLG online a lot. How long did it take for you to get to a "pro" level and how many hours a day did you play a day to get this far?
Hysteria (4:05 PM)
Well, I started playing Halo 2 in 2005 and I ended up going to my first MLG in 2007 and ended up placing pro. It took a long time. I don't really have an hour amount. I play as long as I can and enjoy getting better.
Tommy S. (NJ)
How come you were letting pistola pick up the sniper instead of yourself? i mean we've all seen the hysteria go off with it.
Hysteria (4:06 PM)
Even though I think I'm really good with snipe, I also know that Pistola is. I'm not going to go out of my way to get it. I'm perfectly fine with him getting it. I'm fine with getting the BR and let him go off with it. I think he's just as good as me and I'm perfectly fine with him taking it.
Marc (Canada)
What do you think of all the negativity from fans towards your team and yourself specifically? I feel it's pretty unwarranted.
Hysteria (4:08 PM)
Well, I can understand people cheering for other teams than us. But I didn't really understand the booing, the insults towards us and fans of other teams. I try to not let it effect me. I know a lot of people don't really have a reason for it, so I try to not take it too personally.
Greg (WA)
Do you want me to bring a megaphone for the next event so everyone can actually hear my "TD TD TD TD" chant, or do you like the feeling of "making the crowd go silent?"
Hysteria (4:09 PM)
I would have to say go ahead and bring it. Winning and silencing the crowd is cool, but we had a tournament where we had a bunch of funs and it was cool. I know we have fans out there, they're just not speaking up.
Josh W. (San Francisco, CA)
How did you come up with the name Hysteria?
Hysteria (4:09 PM)
I had been playing Halo for a little while and I wanted to come up with a new name. I ended up looking through my iTunes and there was a song called Hysteria, so I went with that.
Jordan (Vancouver, British Columbia)
What would you suggest is a good way to get recognized and to make it into the mlg pro circuit?
Hysteria (4:11 PM)
The easiest way to get noticed, besides placing well in a tournament, is to go to any local you can. When I started going to locals, I had some good players live near me and I was able to do well at locals. Then I was able to get into games online with some of hte top players. Tournaments are definitely the easiest way.
Scott Olson (Austin, TX)
It's obvious that good snipers like yourself have the ability to push up and play aggresively when you are in possesion of the sniper. But do ever find it acceptable to play passively when in control of the weapon?
Hysteria (4:12 PM)
There is definitely times to play passive and times to play aggressive. If the other team is charging and giving you free kills, there's no time to be aggressive. There is definitely times to be passive.
Sean (Great england land)
what team is your main threat going into the next event? Good luck next event xxxx
Hysteria (4:13 PM)
I'd say there would be 2 - Carbon and Str8. Carbon was a lot tougher than anyone expected. I think it will be the same in Anaheim. Str8 will do everything they can to win the next tournament. But I don't really know who will be tougher.
Jimmy (Madison, Wisconsin)
After putting on a show in both Meadowlands and Dallas this year, it's clear Triggers Down has some serious skill and teamwork. What will it take for tD to stay on top and win the national title this season?
Hysteria (4:14 PM)
At Dallas, we played exactly how we wanted to play, which was more depending on our communication and team work. We didn't need anyone to be on fire to win. If we can keep that going and have everyone playing their best, we can do even better than Dallas and Meadowlands. So hopefully that can continue.
Lionel Messi (Barca)
Hola! How will you prepare for Anaheim? Many lans up ahead and against what teams? TD top 1.
Hysteria (4:15 PM)
We all decided to take a week or two break after the tournament. We're really not playing right now. The month before the tournament, we're going to hardcore practice and LAN the month before. We're going to take a break for a bit and try and get things rolling.
Gonzo (Oak Lawn)
Who is a better overrall slayer u or pistola? btw good job at dallas
Hysteria (4:15 PM)
Well, I wouldn't even consider myself a main slayer. But even if I did, I would still say Pistola. I focus more on objective, so Pistola out slays me every game.
Hysteria (4:16 PM)
Shoutout to Haloette. All you tD fans come to Anaheim!
