Buzzmaster (10:01 AM)
Gooooooooood morning!
Clay (Hillsdale, MI)
Good morning Buzz, and happy Office Thursday to everyone!
Greg (Ellicott City)
Goooooooooood morning VietBuzz
Neal (Philly)
As soon as Madsen gave up a run in the 8th, I knew it was bed time.
Robbi (Clinton Ky)
Hiya buzz. Almost Friday and time to party.
Lou Piniella (Chicago)
Milton Bradley my best advice is, shut up! Just shut up!
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Today's chat will be all Wu Tang Clan for me.
Buzzmaster (10:01 AM)
I like it.
onb (you miss me)
for real
Scott (Brewtown)
Good Morning! Good Moorrnning! To you and you and you!
Buzzmaster (10:02 AM)
So, the other day was the first day of Fall. Yet when I walked outside this morning, it was near 70 and humid as a mid-July day. Man, I love fall.
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
Nothing wrong with a little Buzz in the morning.
Christian (High Point, NC)
I don't bother showing up until 10:03 now, you know, because Buzz is late.
Buzzmaster (10:03 AM)
I'm sure glad everyone in this chat doesn't have their boss standing by the door looking at his watch and telling everyone they're late when they walk in the door.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Too bad I can't quote any of the songs I'm listening to, though.
Matt (IN)
Good morning everyone. Good schedule today Buzz.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Bueller? Bueller?
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Good morning ... It is raining so hard here I can't see the highway in front of my office.
Neal (Philly)
I get to work before my boss, so I have no worries.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
'Sup Nation? My meeting was pushed back to 10:30 so I have a few minutes to check in. Cory was a WW fiend in the MB FFL yesterday.
Jessica Simpson (Dallas)
I resent being called a dumb blonde, I am just a light haired detour off the information highway. Hi Tony.
David (Ottawa)
Nothing like an MMA fighter quitting to go film movies...
Zack (Louisville, KY)
Derrick Brooks, eh?
Don (San Francisco)
I'm pretty much alone in this office for the next hour or so. No one really gets to tell me I'm late.
Clay (Charlotte)
Actually as long as I get here before about 8:30, I've still beat my boss here.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Another day, and dollar, since you know we all only make $20K.
JB (TX)
Plenty of quotable Wu Tang out there, Tom.
RobT (Indianpolis,IN)
Why wont vick start
Buzzmaster (10:08 AM)
BECAUSE HE HASN'T PLAYED IN OVER TWO YEARS!
Jeff (Iowa)
Hey Nate, the next time buzz makes fun of your beer gut, informed him that it's a liquid grain storage facility.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
LOMAS BROWN??? Buzz: Outstanding work!
Zack (Louisville, KY)
Boston Creme Pie in fridge is a tempting breakfast.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Are we going to have a years worth of farewell's to Babby Cox?
Buzzmaster (10:08 AM)
No.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Drunk or sober I'm always on time Buzz.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Now Buzz, you can't complain about warm and humid in the Fall after complaining about cold and rainy in the Summer.
Buzzmaster (10:09 AM)
I know. That wasn't a complaint as much as it was an ironical statement. Alanis, did I get that one right?
Scott (Brewtown)
I am convinced that just for grins you, yes you Buzz, reach into the ONB and periodically post one, such as RobT for example.
Chad (Las Vegas)
70 Buzz? Come to Vegas it was 102 this past weekend. And we will hit 100 this weekend again.
Nate (Madison)
So I'm late, but it was worth it. Got the lucky shirt out, made my first trip back to Miller Park in over two months and brought the Crew a win.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
*headdesk* Really, RobT? Really?
Zack (Louisville, KY)
No what?
David (Ottawa)
Vick will run the wildcat 5 times, and he will score once. that`s my predicition. That man probably still runs a 4.3 40.
Buzzmaster (10:09 AM)
No, he does not.
Ed Hochuli (Chat Ref)
Buzz and Tom, you know the rules. Back away from the caps lock key or I'm running you guys.
Buzzmaster (10:10 AM)
Sorry Ed. There are just too many people out there that think someone can just step into playing professional sports after taking 2 years off.
Chad (Las Vegas)
Actually it is 7 AM and 70 degrees here now.
Don (San Francisco)
Bobby Cox will have a year's worth of ejections to commemorate this career.
Clay (Charlotte)
I'm sure Vick will see the ball some, but of course he is not going to start.
Brooks (Virginia)
VT gets killed this week calling it.
JB (TX)
Actually he was timed at 4.42 when he was working out before he signed
David (Ottawa)
Oh course he does Buzz. What else did he do in prison besides stay in shape, lift and run around the yard? He will break one play big, he always does.
Buzzmaster (10:11 AM)
I know plenty of people that do nothing but go to the gym, lift and work out. I'm pretty sure they can't play in the NFL.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
I like "headdesk" as a verb.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
I'm skeptical if that's the real Jeff. If it is, welcome back, Jeff.
Jerry (NE Philly)
Vick will run the wildcat maybe 7-9 times for minimal yards and fumble once. My prediction.
Brian (Madison, WI)
The lucky shirt thing is ridiculous. The Crew won the first few times that Nate wore it so he thought it was lucky, but then when he would wear it if they started to lose he would take it off to claim that it didn't ruin the streak and if they were winning big he would run and put it on. It's a load of Pulse.
Matt (IN)
Rob, don't believe what anyone is saying, especially ESPN. Vick is starting this weekend and you should pick him up for your fantasy team.
Nate (Madison)
Ok, so last night there was a guy sitting with Cubs fans but he was wearing a Braun shirt but seemed to be cheering for both teams. Needless to say, he was heckled as soon as this was discovered. Along with the guy that kept yelling "YOU BET" when the Cubs did anything.
Buzzmaster (10:12 AM)
Why weren't you and Brian sitting together when you went to the game?
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
Working out in prison is not the same as working out in a gyn with specialized trainers. Lifting weight and gaining muscle sometimes slow a player
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
If Tom Brady looks shoddy with 1 year off I think Vick would look worse with 2 years off.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
David, prison is not like you see it in the movies. Wasn't he confined to his cell for like 23 hours a day?
David (Ottawa)
Right, but how many of those people played in 3 pro bowls?
Buzzmaster (10:14 AM)
Mike Vick's been to 3 Pro Bowls and Derek Jeter has won 3 Gold Gloves. Big deal.
David (Ottawa)
Buzz, He's been in the offense for 6 weeks...he's played two pre-season games and has probably been going 100% in practice for at least a week and a half. He won't play QB, but he will line up for the wildcat enough.
Ed Hochuli (Chat Ref)
*flexes just for the hell of it*
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
Nate, are you saying there were actual Brewer fans in Miller Park?
Christian (High Point, NC)
I turn away for a second to help somebody with an issue, and this turns into a sports chat? Whaaaa?
Clay (Charlotte)
Vick was always a freak athlete...THAT'S NOT THE POINT...Vick had issues making reads and throwing accurate balls when he played everyday, all of a sudden he's Peyton Manning? Get real.
CAL (St. Paul, MN)
Maybe Matt (IN) is really Eric Karabell, I think I'll pick up Vick and start him just to be on the safe side.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Buzz, again great get on Larry King yesterday. The guy is really much funnier than I thought. He was one of the best celeb chatters we've had.
Buzzmaster (10:15 AM)
Definitely. No matter if you're a fan of his or not, he was a good chat.
Greg (Ellicott City)
Fact: Buzz has never seen the inside of a gym. He cant fit through the front doors.
Clay (Charlotte)
Bravo Buzz, love the Jeter jab.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Did someone just use "pro bowl experience" in support of an argument? Turrible.
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
By the way, that's a massive chat lienup today. 4 1PM chats, 5 2PM chats. To borrow from Tom, outstanding work buzz
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Did David just use a Pro Bowls argument? How many players go to the Pro Bowl because other guys don't want to play? Pro Bowls? Really, David? You're better than that.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Grason: Good start with the Buzz insult, but you've got to remember to end with, "you know . . . because Buzz is fat."
Zack (Louisville, KY)
Maybe Vick had a Sony HDTV in prison. Justin Timberlake says watching sports makes you better at sports.
CAL (St. Paul, MN)
I think Buzz should go after the guests that Larry King got the other day. Just think, the Morning Buzz with special guest Hugo Chavez!
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Absolutely, JB. Larry King was excellent.
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
I always confuse Lomas Brown with Orlando Brown. The guy who got hit in the eye with yellow flag by the ref.
Nate (Madison)
Why are we talking about Vick so much? He's not starting....he played in some preseason games and has been practicing. I'm lost.
Buzzmaster (10:18 AM)
Because it's been two games into the season and people are already calling for Vick to be the starter over Donovan McNabb. It's ridiculous.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Only two chats could possibly top Larry King: Matt Damon or George Brett.
Neal (Philly)
Someone's going to get crimed if Media Player keeps popping up on my screen.
David (Ottawa)
Sure, some guys get in as replacements, but if you are trying to deny that Vick has exceptional athletic ability, and is known for his running, then you`re crazy. The man doesnt have to throw for 300 yards, he never did.
Buzzmaster (10:19 AM)
No. Vick HAD exceptional athletic ability. It's yet to be determined if he has retained any of that.
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
I think people want Vick to start over Kolb. Even Garcia would start before Vick if Kolb got benched.
stephanie (cincy)
I'm back and better then ever. Let's get rolling.
Nate (Madison)
Well they are dumb. Lets not let the village idiots determine what the village talks about.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
I'm already crafting a question for Lomas Brown about the state of the Lions today. I wonder if I should include the phrase "hang your head in shame."
Dave (RI)
Tom, a Megan Fox chat would trump Damon and Brett
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Maybe they should start him, then everyone could see how it's not gonna work and shut up.
Zack (Louisville, KY)
Why the hell isn't Jeff Garcia starting? He knows the system, and is better than Kolb.
Buzzmaster (10:20 AM)
Because if Kolb doesn't start when McNabb is hurt, the whole reason you draft a QB in the second round, then they might as well cut the kid and move on.
Clay (Charlotte)
I really didn't know this many people cared about the Eagles.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
*Putting on JB voice* Megan Fox is vastly overrated. There, I said it.
David (Ottawa)
Buzz, did you watch the preseason eagle games? he looked like he still had that ability, it was his reads that were off.
Buzzmaster (10:21 AM)
Dave, I think I saw you playing in a preseason game. The Lions went 4-0 last preseason. It tells you nothing.
Brian (Madison, WI)
I can't imagine what Kevin Kolb is thinking. They draft him and there is talk that it's the start of getting rid of McNabb and since then McNabb has continued to start and the team has went out and signed Vick and Garcia.
idiots (village)
Vick should be starting, no doubt about it
Clinton (Indianapolis)
OFFS. Enough with Vick talk!
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
True words Buzz.
al (dc)
I like the Eagles, a lot. But Vick is not good for Andy's system, you know, one that relies on accuracy. He's a nice toy and will move things around, but come on people. Kolb is the future...give him more than one game...Payton Manning didnt have a great start to his career, nor did Aikman, go Kolb
fred (omaha)
tom that was not outstanding work, megan is my autopilot
Christian (High Point, NC)
Because everyone knows how unimportant reads are to a QB*
Nate (Madison)
I would like to see a drunken conversation with Kolb, Jackson, and Rosenfels
Rich Rodriguez (Ann Arbor)
People with lives > Vick > Garcia > Kolb > Food stains on Andy Reid's shirts
Brian (Madison, WI)
Packers looked amazing in the preseason and have pretty much looked like a turd sandwich so far in the regular season.
David (Ottawa)
I didn't say did you see what the team looked like. I asked if you saw what Vick looked like. Big difference
Buzzmaster (10:24 AM)
Exactly. He's out there playing against guys who are collecting unemployment right now. Preseason, in all regards, is meaningless.
Matt (via Albany) [via mobile]
We all know Buzz "retained water" because, you know, he's fat (that's how it's done, Grason).
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Clinton is right. Anyone want to chat some MB FFL?
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Alright, David, you're going to make me do this, aren't you? Buzz! Roll out the ONB!
Buzzmaster (10:24 AM)
Let's do it.....
Rich Rodriguez (Ann Arbor)
Coaches from Ohio who talk about how miserable other people are need to get lives...and ditch the sweater vests.
mike (orlando, fl)
i have the jets d and vikes d on my fantasy team which one should i start?
Trey (Cullowhee, NC)
Is Coach K worrying about the USA Basketball team and not paying enough attention to Duke?
RAY GORDON REID ( JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA 32216)
MY COMMENT AT 10.50 LUNCHSTADIUM CLUB BAR GRILLE
ravenna ohio [via mobile]
whats it gonna take for the cincinatti bengals to get back into the playoffs this year?
Patrick ( Louisville )
Type in 'esp' into google and what is the first link? ESPN
Shaheen Smith (Charlotte,NC)
What should the Cowboys do about Flozel Adams? I think maybe suspension
Shaheen Smith (Charlotte,NC)
Do the panthers need to draft a feature quarterback next year
He Ate Me NJ [via mobile]
Wow! The Cowboys are going with 3 kickers this season. Folk,Beuhler and now Flozelle Adams.
Amanda (Los Angeles)
Several sports writers said Andre Ethier error in the 9th lost the game last night against Washington. How?
DJ (Durham, NC)
Is Sanchez the "real deal" or is he just getting beginner's luck??
Zach Rastall (Marinette, Wisconsin)
Buzz is fat.
Adam Cedar (Cherokee,Iowa)
Is Chad Pennington the best in the NFL in pass percentage?
Kobe (LA)
*Making ridiculously stupid bulldog snarl face*
Lions Fans (Detroit)
We demand a refund for every Lions game we've ever been to that ended as a loss. Sorry Lions, you're going to have to sell Ford field and Calvin Johnson.
Buzzmaster (10:25 AM)
And that's it....
Scott (Brewtown)
Dave, you're from Canada, you should've seen tha game already. How did he look?
Ryan (San Diego)
Oh yes, favorite day. Two chats with the Bears and the Patriots, two teams I couldn't hate more
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
It does not matter much how he looked like, since he played against guys that have been cut since those games
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Not a big difference at all, David. Joey Harrington used to be the king of preseason. Enough said.
Neal (Philly)
Isn't it time for David to just follow hockey?
Zack (Louisville, KY)
I'm indifferent about the smell of ONB in the morning...
Christian (High Point, NC)
Gotta run, meeting. Everyone have a great Canadian Friday!
Clay (Charlotte)
Wow, what an awful ONB, I the average IQ of ONB posters is going down...didn't think that was possible.
Buzzmaster (10:26 AM)
Especially with Rastall becoming a regular in it.
Mack (PA)
Why is the Eagles' QB situation even a story? Kolb should start because they spent a 2nd round pick on him, and he didn't play badly, and because Garcia is 40 and just got there a week ago. Vick shouldn't even be a thought right now.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
See what you've done, David? We had to destroy the MB with the ONB in order to save it.
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
Not yet Zack, preseason hockey is like preseason football, not that interesting
Scott (Brewtown)
With Rastall posting, how can you go down from zero?
Biff Tannen (Hill Valley)
Buzz, if you want to know how Vick will do on Sunday, I'll check my Grey's Sports Almanac and get back to you.
Neal (Philly)
Since the Flyers smoked the Red Wings, they are definitely winning the Stanley Cup.
David (Ottawa)
I work in Canada, I'm from the US....again, big diff. I guess we'll just have to wait and see but come monday you're all going to be telling me I'm right.
Buzzmaster (10:27 AM)
That's all anyone is saying, my man. We'll have to see how Vick does against actual competition.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Let's let Mack have the last word on this, Buzz. 1) because Mac k is right; and b) that's enough of this argument.
Bryce (Fargo)
It's a story because one of the QBs name is Vick.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
No more Vick speak, please.
Matt (IN)
He Ate Me? So Big Z is posting in the ONB?
Chad (Las Vegas)
Regular season hockey is like pre-season football, not that interesting.
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
There looks like a lot of premier QBs in the draft next year. Colt McCoy, Sam Bradford, Jevon Snead, maybe even Tebow. Carolina has a lot of options.
Buzzmaster (10:28 AM)
Mel Kiper had an interesting point in his chat yesterday that there is a lot of quality play at QB in the NFL and will only get better after last year's draft and next year's with all of the quality prospects coming into the league. Could be a golden age of QB play in the NFL.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Biff, the almanac only went up to 2000. FAIL!
Dave (RI)
Hope I dont get killed for this.. What is a ONB poster?
Buzzmaster (10:29 AM)
OverNight Bin: where all the crazies and drunks post messages before our morning chat and then we make fun of them.
Nate (Madison)
Who really wants to talk about the Eagles and their QB's? (crickets)
Brian (Madison, WI)
I caught the end of Cougar Town last night, no joke, and was flustered trying to figure out when Courtney Cox got hot?
Scott (Brewtown)
Tim Tebow will not be an NFL qb. He's going to part the Red Sea and save the world
Larry King (via mobile)
I leave for a day and the chat goes to hell.
Dave (vt)
All the golfing and drinking I have done this summer was done in preparation for the 4 man scramble i am playing in tomorrow. We will see how many beers my bag can hold. 15-18 maybe.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Well my appointment just arrived. Time to call it a chat. Have a great Thursday all. Maybe I'll see you in some chats this afternoon. Have a great day, stay safe, and I'll be here for Casual Dress Friday chat. Later!
Chad (Las Vegas)
ONB = Overnight Bin. It it the people that are obsessed with Buzz so much that they don't come to the chat but post something in the wee hours hoping Buzz will read it and post it during regular chat hours.
Don (San Francisco)
Last year, those college QB's looked great. This year, that same bunch don't look as shiny. Maybe they should have struck while the iron was scalding.
Neal (Philly)
someone with an IQ of half of Buzz's waist size
Clay (Charlotte)
An ONB poster is someone who think that other people will care about their opinion when really no one cares at all...like Rastall.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Naw, Larry, this is what it's always like. When we have guests, we try to put on a good face and behave. We're like one big dysfunctional family.
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
Buzz I was thinking the same thing, maybe this string of years could be like the 83 year when guys like Marino, Kelly, and Elway were coming out.
Nate (Madison)
Brian would watch Cougar Town.
JB (TX)
Courteney Cox has been hot for the better part of the last 2 decades, hasn't she?
Nate (Madison)
Too....much...sports....talk....brain...going....to...explode.
al (dc)
i wanted to TIVO Cougar Town but couldnt...
Carl (Chicago)
You should call the guys in the white suits. Anyone who believes this chat is a family is delusional.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Missed Modern Family, is it worth watching?
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
I missed Cougar Town. Was it good?
Buzzmaster (10:33 AM)
I saw Glee last night. Not sure what to make of it. It was weirdly funny. Is that what it's supposed to be? Kind of a mock-u-drama-comedy?
The Suits (Bristol)
Buzz, get that guy outta here. We aren't wearing white today.
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
Of course it's not a family, I wouldn't spend an hour everyday talking to my family
Scott (Brewtown)
I have a half day off today and get to look forward to staining my house. Oh joy! Responsibility is the suck!
Clay (Charlotte)
Why al? Does your TIVO have a "save me from crappy programming" setting?
Dave (RI)
ohhhhhhhh... for weeks I was trying to figure that out.. It makes it much more funnier now that I know
Zack (Louisville, KY)
Wouldn't that make them a genius? You know, since Buzz is fat.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Yes, Buzz, that pretty much sums up Glee. Good show. Although the first couple episodes were better than the one last night.
Buzzmaster (10:34 AM)
Yeah, I didn't know what to make of it. I'll try another episode and see.
JB (TX)
'83 draft part 2 was the '04 draft: Eli, Rivers, and Big Ben, with JP Losman playing the role of Todd Blackledge.
Chad (Las Vegas)
Nate's brain is going to explode? What sound does that make. I would think it would be the same as a Snap Pop.
Clay (Charlotte)
Yeah, it's actually pretty good, they are sorta making fun of the whole High School Musical thing. But the people are actually pretty talented.
al (dc)
i love GLEE...my gf was a huge theater geek in high school, i played sports, so it's kind of funny....i forgot my point mid-way through this post.
Jason (Ellicott City, MD)
Nice one Louis.
Buzzmaster (10:35 AM)
Good job Grason.
Nate (Madison)
Ohhhhhhh Chad....you're a funny one!
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
I missed Glee too. Watched baseball last night.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Nate's brain exploding would be the sound of a beer can opening.
Buzzmaster (10:36 AM)
Is that Nate or Brian?
MIKE (RICHMOND)
and......BOOM goes the dynamite!
Dave (RI)
Greys Anatomy starts tonight.. which means gf gets the HD tv and I get Ole Miss/SC on the 13 inch...
Buzzmaster (10:36 AM)
Gee, thanks for reminding me. LadyBuzz will definitely be interested in that.
Marc (Charlotte)
Buzz, I'm late, but I'm sure I didn't miss anything. I'll catch up on the first half of the chat later.
al (dc)
oh, my point was that theatre geeks arent all that bad -- she was a cheerleader for the D.C. Indoor Football team, i kid you not
Nate (Madison)
al.....are you kidding?
Jason (Ellicott City, MD)
Wow Al. really impressed.
Scott (Brewtown)
Dave!!!!!!!! That's why you DVR Grey's Anatomy and tell gf to watch after the game!!!!
Zack (Louisville, KY)
The Office, Community, and Its Always Sunny are on tonight. In that order. Which I'll watch.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Buzz who do you like in the game tonight, Ole Miss or the Ol' Ball Coach?
Buzzmaster (10:39 AM)
Ole Miss.
Clay (Hillsdale, MI)
Buzz, since this chat is going nowhere, I'd like to take the opportunity to wish Guinness a Happy 250th Birthday.
Sponsors (TV Networks)
thank you for your viewing of our tv programming. people like you who live your lives vicariously through our mediocre shows pays my bmw and mansion payments. Thanks again.
Dave (vt)
Luckily my wife has realized that Grey's has been on it's way down the last couple of years so she doesnt watch anymore.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Why, why does the guy that works here come in my office and drone on and on about pulse I don't EVEN care about??
Buzzmaster (10:40 AM)
It's your fault for working in an office.
al (dc)
I kid you not i swear to god. It's the proudest thing i've had in my life.
Neal (Philly)
Who knew that Clinton was older than Guinness?
Scott (Brewtown)
Robbi, just take advice from Steph and stab him.
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
I've read an article about Guiness history and in the early 1900's they came up with a great slogan for beer: "Guinness, it makes you drunk". That's more than enough for me
Buzzmaster (10:41 AM)
Can it? Doesn't it make you full before it gets you drunk?
Fake Clinton (Indy)
I remember the founding of Guinness very fondly.
Scott (Brewtown)
Brilliant!!!
Keith (MD)
Anybody looking forward to "Fast Forward"? Looks intreging (spell?)
Clay (Charlotte)
Yeah, that's my issue with Guiness. I drink a glass and feel like a ate a loaf of bread.
Bob (Lowell)
Finally caught up and as usual, I've learned nothing.
Buzzmaster (10:42 AM)
Hahahaha. That was funny. For some reason that made me laugh. Well done.
Jason (Ellicott City, MD)
Guiness' only usefulness is through the art of car bombs.
Buzzmaster (10:43 AM)
And Black and Tans.
Spelling Police (On Patrol)
Intriguing. But since you asked nicely, you can go on your way. No warning this time.
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
Guiness is good for you. TO ARTHUR!!
Clay (Charlotte)
Actually I had an Irish Car bomb with a girl from Ireland (sidebar, "Irish Car bomb" is really offensive). She called us wusses and showed us a real one. Which is a full glass of Guiness, you chug half of it THEN drop the Bailey's and Jamison in, then chug the rest. It will mess you up.
Matt (via Albany) [via mobile]
Don't worry, Buzz, you won't have that problem because, you know the rest
Brian (Madison, WI)
Nate and I went to an Irish bar a couple years ago and I got a Guiness and Nate got a Miller Lite or Bud Light. It was funny to see how uncomfortable Nate got when the waitress lady ripped on him for not getting a thicker type of beer.
Marc (Charlotte)
Just caught up. Had some comments for previous topics but I'll refrain.
RJ (Boston)
... and bbq sauce.
Jason (Ellicott City, MD)
Buzz...aren't you sad my last MB day is tomorrow?
Buzzmaster (10:46 AM)
I'll let you know on Monday, Grason.
Neal (Philly)
I sound like Nate and Brian will all this alcohol talk.
Clay (Charlotte)
No Grason, nobody cares.
Buzzmaster (10:46 AM)
And the people have spoken.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
I don't think I've ever had a Guiness.
MATT (VA BEACH)
there is a "female" (we think) in the office where I work that looks EXACTLY like Milton Waddams from Office Space. I kid you not, coke-bottle glasses and everything.
Marc (Charlotte)
Well, Grayson can join Rastall as a daily ONB poster. I didn't think the ONB could get worse, but that would certainly do it.
Alex (Littleton, CO)
You have to have been around a long time to be missed in the MB. Also, don't be named rastall.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
So, Jason , is Greg still gonna be here?
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Guiness is not my style. Way too thick. Then again, I'm more of a mixed drink guy than a beer guy. I much prefer White Russians and Captain 'n Coke.
Bob (Lowell)
People need to get a better perspective of themselves. I don't even miss me when I'm not here.
Ed Hochuli (Chat Ref)
Matt (Va Beach), that's 15 yards for illegal use of the caps lock key. Repeat 1st down.
Nate (Madison)
Tom, add some coke to your White Russian and enjoy the deliciousness.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Ohhhh....White Russians are good.
Buzzmaster (10:49 AM)
I would never invite everyone here at the same time to a wedding with an open bar...the alcohol bill would be twice as much as the rest of the wedding costs, combined.
Neal (Philly)
Lunch chat! wings
Clay (Hillsdale, MI)
Tom, I like where your heads at.
JB (TX)
Only chatters I've ever missed were the dude who did the WIR, and the dude who had Mango Gatorade every day. Later, Grason.
Buzzmaster (10:50 AM)
Who was Mango? Hutch (Hartford), I think.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
White Russian with Coke? Intriguing.
al (dc)
umm White Russians are way too thick
Dave (RI)
Guiness tastes like Motor oil. Sam Adams Oktoberfest is the best beer of the season!
MATT (VA BEACH)
I didnt use caps lock, Ed, i used SHIFT!! and i used caps for EMPHASIS, thats NOT illegal use!!
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
I've been around a long time, I'm an MB Hall of Famer, and I'm convinced I wouldn't be missed one whit here.
Clay (Charlotte)
Wait, wait, wait...Tom doesn't like Guiness because it's "too thick" but drinks White Russians which have milk/heavy cream in them?
Most Interesting Man (World)
I prefer Dos Equis.
Clay (Hillsdale, MI)
Have a good one Buzz nation. Enjoy a Guinness tonight.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Lunch: Grilled burger, unsweet tea.
Tom (West Loop)
I went to an Indian wedding once where the bar bill was $8000. Of course, there were 600 people there, but whatever.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Lunch: Sandwich, chips, and a soda.
Clay (Charlotte)
Grason is probably having issues keeping up with Jason's and Greg's personalities, so one has to leave.
Tom (West Loop)
Dave, try the Spaten Oktoberfest. It is fantastic. Also like the Sam Adams, and the Grizzly Peak Oktoberfest from Ann Arbor.
Nate (Madison)
It's called a Colorado Bulldog....very tasty.
Marc (Charlotte)
I went to a wedding last weekend Buzz. It was my cousins wedding and it wasn't open bar, however, since I was the youngest person there by about 10 years, my uncles took care of me
Clay (Charlotte)
Lunch: Stir Fry
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
There's a MB hall of fame, damn I need to pick up my game
Blowtorch (Internet)
PORKCHOP SANDWICHES!
Nate (Madison)
Tom from West Loop just started the on upper talk with wedding bar bills.
Papa John (Pizza Place near You)
I sure wish the tv people would quit referring to John MacKenzie as "Papa John". It wasn't me!
Marc (Big D)
Hey MB had a couple meetings today, I am sure I missed the usual nothing with a side of nothing. Lunch: Pizza and a soda.
Nate (Madison)
CORRECTION: One upper talk...not on upper.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Lunch: Chicken tortilla soup made by my wife. Outstanding work!
Clinton (Indianapolis)
That rug really tied the room together...
Tom (West Loop)
Didn't mean to. Just saying Buzz is right. Open bar at a weddding with a lot of young people is asking for trouble.
stephanie (cincy)
Lunch will be leftover bake ziti from two days ago.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
I like Rattlesnakes, too. ( the drink)
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Psst...Papa John? You do realize that there was a band called the Mamas and Papas that was around before you started your pizza business?
MBers (MB Chat)
Tom's wife's cooking would, however, be missed...definitely more than a whit.
Tom (West Loop)
Lunch: Coldbuster smoothie from Jamba Juice. I've had this cold for a week and I have to go out the next three nights.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Where's the open bar?
Buzzmaster (10:54 AM)
Easy killer.
Scott (Brewtown)
Lunch: 4 inch paintbrush with a side of 100% acrylic stain
fred (omaha)
tom i should give her my tortilla soup recipe, it is more outstanding
Neal (Philly)
Jim Morrison is a good shot. Have a great weekend everyone!
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
Lunch: meth.
Greg (Ellicott City)
Lunch: Pizza Hut buffet.
Jason (Ellicott City, MD)
Lunch: Leftover Papa John's from yesterday's 50% off promotion.
JB (TX)
Lunch: $5 footlooooong, and a Mango Gatorade if I can find it. Anyway, I also dated a theater geek, soph yr in college. Other than sitting thru a few of her lame performances it was great, don't knock it till you tried it.
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
Lunch: pasta, but I'm hitting a good steakhouse tonight
Don (San Francisco)
I think I just FlashForwarded a few minutes ago. Amazingly, the chat was exactly the same.
Alex (Littleton, CO)
Lunch: Genoa Salami on Focaccia, kettle cooked chips
Bob (Lowell)
Lunch: Liverwurst on rye with mustard.
Nate (Madison)
Lunch: Somewhere. I have to run across town to scout this business out that my mom has an interview at tomorrow morning. Why, I have no idea...just being a good son, I guess.
Marc (Charlotte)
Lunch: Sandwich, Chips, Little Debbie Snack. I feel like I'm in grade school again.
Alex (Littleton, CO)
Every time someone mentions the Pizza Hut Buffet, it makes me hungry. I can only imagine how painful it must be for Buzz, since Buzz, you know, is fat.
Clay (Charlotte)
Alright SN, have a great Thursday, be safe and we'll see you tomorrow. Peace.
Jevan Snead (Columbia)
Dinner: gamecock
Zack (Louisville, KY)
My motto is "Quality over Quantity". And then I remember the MB, and all that goes out the window.
Marc (Charlotte)
My sandwich is actually Ham and Salami with Provolone and Kettle cooked chips. Alex must be stalking me.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Why did it end, JB? Too much drama? *rimshot* Hey-o!
Brian (Madison, WI)
Lunch: A couple of hoot dogs and some cheesy potatoes. Love me some cheesy potatoes.
Nate (Madison)
Pizza Hut buffet? Dang it...stomach just started growling.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Have a good Thursday. Bye y'all.
Mike (Illinois)
Buzz imma let you finish but Larry King had the best chat of all time yesterday.
Buzzmaster (10:59 AM)
All right we're done here. Thanks for stopping by. We'll be back again tomorrow. Until then, stay classy SportsNation!
fred (omaha)
clinton that was funny, you should do stand up at the comedy club that buzz and i hang out at
Bob (Lowell)
Good day all.......To Arthur!
Greg (Ellicott City)
You stay fat Buzz.
Matt (via Albany) [via mobile]
No juice box, Marc?
Clinton (Indianapolis)
