Buzzmaster (10:01 AM)
Goooooooooood morning!
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Good morning, folks! Let's get this Tuesday rolling.
J-Man (PA)
Where's Buzzmaster?
Buzzmaster (10:01 AM)
Right here. Re-lax.
Dave (RI)
haha.. very happy the jets lost this morning!
Future ONBer (La La Land)
Uhhh...where's the First Take chat? I wanna ask Dana about Braylon Edwards, man. He's the best ever. Oh and I'm a dork who lives in my parents' basement.
Buzzmaster (10:02 AM)
First Take is chatting at 12:30 today. Soccer giving them a crazy schedule.
Godish (Chicago)
Is this Breast Cancer Awareness Month or Hispanic Heritage Month? I need Dane Cook to remind me what month this is.
Chad (Las Vegas)
Saints exposed the Jets D, Dolphins jammed it down their throats.
Chris (MPLS)
Buzz is late cause Kruk was log jamming the door, cause you know he's fat
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Starting today's MB with Radiohead.
Buzzmaster (10:03 AM)
Who's keeping notes today?
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
What a glorious Tuesday Morning, Buzz.
Rich Rodriguez (Ann Arbor)
People who are concerned about the First Take chat need to get lives.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Thanks to Tom, my notes page has become obsolete.
J-Man (PA)
Cliff Lee did it again Buzzmaster! Is he awesome or what?
Buzzmaster (10:04 AM)
So much for the Cardinals being the favorites in the NL.
Scott (Brewtown)
How nice that you get real music. I currently am listening to the Muzak version of Close to you by the Carpenters. Swell.
Ryan (San Diego)
First Take should take a back seat to soccer.
Frank the Tank (Old School)
I see Blue......he looks glorious.....
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
What a great night of sports. My Blackhawks came back from 0-5 to beat the Flamers 6-5 in OT, yes we care about haackey in Chicago, and I was able to cath the 2nd half of a great football game, Jets and Dolphins.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Looks like the road to Rocktober took a turn down the wrong Street. (See what I did there, Buzz?)
Buzzmaster (10:05 AM)
I don't know whether to applaud or smack my forehead.
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
Wow, Skip is my new best friend today. Saying all the right things. Henne won and did look pretty good against a Jets D that played poorly.
Christian (High Point, NC)
Ground control to Master Buzz .... Ground control to Master Buzz ...
Christian (High Point, NC)
The day I find myself in agreement with Skip Bayless is the day I check myself into a mental institution
RJ (Boston)
If it's not gambling on the games you're involved in, it's steroids. if it's not steroids, it's celebrating menial walk-ff homers in July. If it's not celebrating menial wins, it's celebrating wild cards with Champagne. Baseball sucks.
Marc (Charlotte)
Any kickball updates Buzz?
Buzzmaster (10:07 AM)
No game this weekend due to the holiday weekend. Apparently this Columbus Day is widely celebrated.
CAL (St. Paul, MN)
Buzz, you are the man, I see that ALL DAY is chatting at 12:15. Way to go Buzz!
J-Man (PA)
Do both that's something to entertain us.
tom* (parkville, md)
I've got The Pretenders on my web radio.
Cory (PA)
Just applaud by repeatedly smacking J.B.'s head.
Marc (Charlotte)
But if First Take isn't chatting, where are we going to send all the people who want to talk sports?
Buzzmaster (10:08 AM)
Send them to lineup for the First Take chat that starts in 2.5 hours.
Ryan (San Diego)
My work does not see this Columbus Day as legit apparently
tom* (parkville, md)
When I see "Fantasy Injuries" on the chat roster, I think of people I want to hurt.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Had a great trip to A.C. this past weekend. Weather was great, had an outstanding buffet dinner, hit the 'Happy Days,' slot machine for $80, had a free buffet breakfast on Saturday morning, went and hit the 'Happy Days,' slot machine for another $75, then headed for home. All A.C. weekends should be that good.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky.)
Hello. I'm late.
Cory (PA)
Columbus dday is huge! I celebrated by decorating my yard with a scale replica of the Santa Maria.
Neal (Philly)
Last night was one of the best baseball games I've ever watched. Only game 5 of last year's World Series tops it.
Buzzmaster (10:10 AM)
I don't remember either.
Justin (Ohio)
Booooo Braylon Edwards. Braylon Edwards Boooooo.
RJ (Boston)
When I see champagne celebrations over divisional series wins, I think of how much better hockey, rugby and football are than baseball.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
tom*: Good call on the Pretenders. I've been listening to their greatest hits in my car for the past few days.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Cory: That would require Buzz to drive to PA which means effort on his part which means it ain't happening.
JB (TX)
Oh yeah, nice scheduling, MLB. Angels/Yanks get an entire week off during the playoffs. David Stern would be impressed.
Tom (Seattle, WA)
How about Ricky Williams, he looked youthful last night
Kanye West (Rehab)
Neal, I'm gonna let you finish. But I just wanna say that the Yankees and Diamondbacks Game 7 in 2001 was one of the best games of all time.
Jon (California, MD)
If Braylon would have had that TD in the corner endzone, or caught the diving td towords the end of the game, I would have won in fantasy. Yes, I still do fantasy football. Either way, the Jets are glad they have a big target and should bounce back. NYJ are still a good team that could be dangerous in the playoffs....
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Sounds like RJ is still bitter from Papelbon becoming a Papelbum over the weekend.
Buzzmaster (10:12 AM)
I don't get the vitriol from Sox fans toward Papelbon right now. I've heard several fans say the Sox should get rid of him. Are you kidding me? There are plenty of teams that would love to have him.
Matt (IN)
Of course baseball sucks when your team bombs out of the post season. We get it.
Marc (Charlotte)
Jon, First Take is that way...and 2 hours from now. ---------->>>
David T (Austell, GA)
wow.. the jets really played poorly because of the 1st wildcat Pass over 10 yards.. = hold linebackers till you know he is running. .. Sounds like someone got out coached... and yeah if you look at it Henne usually had less than 4 seconds to pass but wow.. 20 of 26. .. ?
mari (OK by way of RI)
did i finally find a chat where folks talk sports all day? or are there breaks in between?
Buzzmaster (10:12 AM)
Yes and no.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
1991 Twins v Braves Game 7 was epic. Even as a Braves fan I had to say that was a great game. How often do you see the leadoff hitter shaking the catcher's hand before the start of the final game of the season?
Clinton (Indianapolis)
*shaking head* Jon, Jon, Jon...you've been around here a while, so you should already know how little we care about your fantasy football team.
CAL (St. Paul, MN)
What I want to know about this whole Kanye West thing is this: How did he get the microphone in the first place? Did Taylor Swift just hand it over or did he bring his own?
mike randle (chicago il)
adrian hold on to the football somtimes you have to know when to go down when they start playing good teams that make you pay like the saints or the giants or the patriots
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
But Buzz, the 'Sawks' have Billy Wagner. They don't need Papelbon.
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
We would like to talk sports, but we are easily distracted
Scott (Brewtown)
At least your team was in the post season. My team.....it just is post season.
Chris (MPLS)
Cal ------> epic fail, welcome to a month ago
Justin (Ohio)
Josh, Mitch Williams agrees with you.
David T (Austell, GA)
Baseball .. is a game of situations... and pitching is so hit an miss.. IE last night Rockies closer made an awesome pitch that was low an away lots of movment and was poked into right center for a hit... Guessing game won by the batter in that case....Props..
Marc (Charlotte)
Does mike randle know that the AP chat isn't until 12:15?
Buzzmaster (10:14 AM)
Shhhhhhh....just let him be. I wanna see how long it takes him to figure it out.
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
Eggs, toast, and bacon is the best breakfast combination ever.
Justin (Ohio)
Had my first blueberry pop-tart this morning. Yummy.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Happens in every sport, there is only one fan base that is happy after each season. Papelbon is fine.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
I am hoping to adjust my lunch schedule to participate in the Peterson chat. At 5-0 with the 40-year old man at the helm, this Vikes fan is happy.
Jon (California, MD)
I struggle on Tuesday's, MNF has a west coast bias.....
Matt (IN)
I am with J.B. That Braves - Twins series was epic. Jack Buck: "We'll see ya tomorrow night!" (give me credit for tying that in to Joe Buck's appearance today)
Brian (Madison, WI)
Fall(winter) softball team moved to 3-0 last night. Very odd playing softball in a hooded sweatshirt and stocking cap.
Andrew (Boston)
Boston had no right to boo PAPS that was wrong. If I was him I would want out of Boston
J-Boogie (Holly Springs, NC)
I am suppose to be working on an english paper right now but instead i'm on here talking with buzz i'm sitting next to RT!
mari (OK by way of RI)
pap had a rough year but overall it wasnt all his fault... a little hitting might have helped
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
The guy that does sports on our local TV station is putting up free throws for 24 hours for charity. I thinks that's great, and he's gonna have some sore arms!
Ryan (San Diego)
The Red Sox are just a sucky team. They weren't winning the series even if they win game 3
RJ (Boston)
I'm actually a Cardinals fan, but there may be something to that, J.B.
Rich Rod (Ann Arbor)
People who use IE when they should use EG need to get lives.
Marc (Charlotte)
Depends on how many free throws he actually shoots.
Andrew (Boston)
So Ryan How did the padres do. Did they play this week? Oh yes they did. They played golf.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Wake up to frost on my car windows this morning and can't find my window scraper anywhere. Not good. Need to run to the store and buy one of those industrial size scrapers. I've been averaging going through 2-3 scrapers each winter, not being cheap this time.
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
Too bad the NBA preseason aldready started. Shaq against the TV sports guy on a 24h free throw shootong contest would have been must-see tv
Chad (Las Vegas)
Wow nobody is at this soccer match.
Chicago 2016 Employee (Unemployment Line)
Buzz, I worked in sports. Do you think ESPN has a job for me?
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Andrew: Weaksauce. For shame.
Andrew (Boston)
I would love to see Joe Torre beat the Yanks in the World Series. That way Torre can stick it to the Steinbrenners, and then Manny wins a World Series as a Dodger
Buzzmaster (10:21 AM)
C'mon Phillies-Angels.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
I woke up to 53 degrees and a sausage on a homemade biscuit. Nice.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Saw HIMYM again last night. Slowly but surely I am becoming a fan.
Ryan (San Diego)
Oh good one Andrew. Make fun of the little small market team with a 30 million dollar payroll. How much did that extra 100 million get you? The same amount of postseason wins as the Padres. Boom...roasted
Cory (PA)
Did we ever discuss the Office wedding? I think it's safe now and it will frighten away all the First Takers.
Buzzmaster (10:22 AM)
Getting the YouTube wedding video into the episode was classic.
Cory (PA)
Ryan's collar just exploded...popped one too many times.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
I do think that MLB would love to have it be Yankees-Dodgers, so they can trot out Lasorda, Reggie Jackson, etc.
Rich Rodriguez (Ann Arbor)
People who get roasted need to get lives....and wear a fire retardent suit.
Neal (Philly)
Buzz just jinxed the Phillies and the Angels.
Chris (MPLS)
Jim: Once I saw the youtube video I bought the tickets for the ferry
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Yankees v Dodgers would probably draw the largest TV audience of all possible match ups. Yankees v Phillies would draw the largest number of arrests. Dodgers v Angels could be shown on Versus.
Andrew (Boston)
Buzzmaster- Phillies and Angels, Wouldn't you like to see the TWO big teams of the AL EAST with high payrolls to get knocked down a peg or two
JB (TX)
San Diego is not a small market. It's like the 7th or 8th largest city, Ryan. I'm just sayin...
Brian (Madison, WI)
I put The Office wedding episode in my top 3 of all-time. When the pregnancy slipped out I was dying.
Buzzmaster (10:24 AM)
Top 3 of all-time? Maybe I need to watch it again. I thought it was only OK.
Cory (PA)
I'm thinking the Michael/Pam's mom hookup will have no long lasting repercussions whatsoever.
Jack (Toronto)
Back from Canadian Turkey Day. It was glorious! And my belt is thanking me for using those extra couple of holes at the end that never get used.
Greg (Ellicott City)
Yankees > Phillies > Angels > Dodgers.
Jon (California, MD)
Office Wedding: Could have been better, it was OK at best....
Chris (MPLS)
Only okay Buzz? That was one of Dwight's top performances!
Chad (Las Vegas)
While San Diego isn't really a small market they act like they are.
stephanie (cincy)
Sorry I am late Buzz and you are not going to believe why: I spilled my freakin' coffee and had to clean it up. A full cup too.
Buzzmaster (10:26 AM)
You should have just left it and made the others in your office clean it up.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Or maybe I need to watch it again.......
Jon (California, MD)
Far from top 3. OK at best. I loved the episode where Michael burned his foot on the George Foreman......classic.....
Pete (NC)
The Kleenex shoes? The toupee. Kevin as Oscar's bf? Free breakfast for burning up his shoes? All hilarious Kevin scenes.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Not top three but solid effort I thought. For the record, two different actresses have now played Pam's mom.
Andrew (Boston)
Jack in Toronto - I just wear suspenders the next day after a Turkey dinner LOL
Chris (MPLS)
Steph, did Michigan spill it?
Big Z (via mobile)
San Diego does have great fish tacos. Mmmm, tacos.
mari (OK by way of RI)
ok what about the new show modern family...its trying to do the office style docu thing
Marc (Charlotte)
I've never watched one episode of The Office.
JB (TX)
ONB?
Buzzmaster (10:27 AM)
Let's do it....
Zack (Louisville, KY)
And let "tom* (parkville, md)" know I'm in the MB twice a week as my class schedule allows.
Zack (Louisville, Ky)
If I'm not up early enough to be in the MB, it means I'm enjoying FALL BREAK '09!
Jason (Ellicott City, MD)
Buzz, 10/26/2009. Mark your calenders for my epic return. It is like Chris Jericho coming to WWE from WCW.
Ben (Madison, WI)
This morning I have my 4th and 5th job interviews in the past 5 days. ONB for life. Boo Rastall.
Stephen (KCMo)
Why would Marion Hossa Leave a Championship Team Like the Wing for Their Rivals "The Blackhawks"? Does He aHonestly think they'll go far this Year?
Korey Mcadams (Alabama)
For this upcoming basketball season im picking the grizzles to be contenders in theeast
RJ (Boston)
After nearly breaking on my boycott of baseball tickets and paraphenalia (my son is 5 and starting to get into it now), I watched the Phill's douse themselves in champagne over a (oooh, aaaah, gasp, wow) divisional series. Boycott lives. Steroids, gambling, douching... pick your poison. Baseball still sucks.
Mark Sanchez (NY)
What you see is what you get.
Buzzmaster (10:28 AM)
And that's it...
Greg (Ellicott City)
Was Michigan at a cash bar when it spilled the coffee?
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
The joke about girls from Carbondale is really funny if you are from the Scranton/Carbondale area.
Deron (Colorado)
Morning Buzzard
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
Soccer depresses me. I want to watch Skip say outrageous things with other random sports banter.
Neal (Philly)
I don't watch basketball, but isn't Memphis in the West?
JB (TX)
I've seen commercials for Modern Family. Sofia Vergara is in it, that might be worth it alone.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
So RJ bitched about baseball in the ONB, and then comes into the MB just to throw out the same tired schtick? RJ, THE HORSE IS DEAD! MOVE ON.
Scott (Brewtown)
The Office is replacing BB talk as the coffee break of choice for me. Back in two.
Jake (East Stroudburg)
I went to college with about six guys from carbondale. Interesting lot (I am being polite)
Brian (Madison, WI)
Modern Family is moving up the rankings of my favorite shows real quick.
Matt (IN)
Good lord, can we just dispatch the entire Whambulance fleet to Boston and be done with it?
Jack (Toronto)
Isn't Modern Family by the same people that did Arrested Development? Or am I completely out to lunch? Mmmm...lunch
Josh (Lincoln, NE)
You need a break to drink coffee?
Jon (California, MD)
Does Charlotte still have a basketball team?
stephanie (cincy)
Gotta go with "Glee" as my favorite show so far
Buzzmaster (10:31 AM)
I still have only seen one episode. It might be one of those shows that I think I would like to watch, but get too far behind on the episodes and then don't feel like catching up on.
Chad (Las Vegas)
Glee was good for the first couple of episode then the put in the pregnancy storylines and jumped the shark.
John (Lexington, KY)
House is an easy #1
mari (OK by way of RI)
its very funny...not quite the office but there is hope
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
I wish Modern Family was on at a different time. It runs up against Criminal Minds.
Jon (California, MD)
Boston sports had to begin it's desent. They were on top too long. Pats are suspect, Red Sox blew it. Either way, the rest of the world is happy.....
Andrew (Boston)
Does anybody like that new show Hank with Kelsey Grammer??
Buzzmaster (10:32 AM)
Haven't seen that one yet either.
Principal (Hill Valley)
It's because you're a slacker Buzz. Your father was a slacker too.
Josh (Lincoln, NE)
I tried watching Glee. Quit after 5 minutes.
Dispactcher (Dispatch Central)
A call for a whambulance was called in for a location in San Diego. The whiner in question was reported to have a popped collar. We need more specifics in order to respond.
Marc (Charlotte)
Lie to Me is pretty good.
mike randle (chicago il )
okay this is not sports talk why are you guys talking about soap operas cant wait untill first take come on are yall a bunch of girls where men AND THIS IS ESPN not sparta
Chad (Las Vegas)
Ding Ding DIng...We have a winner. Lie to Me.
Scott (Brewtown)
Must not be a very good show if it's jumping the shark after 3 episodes
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Aw, come on. If you're going to post as the principal, you've got to throw his name in there! Principal Strickland!
Principal Strickland (alternate 1985 Hill Valley)
EAT LEAD SLACKERS!!!
Deron (Colorado)
Sox lose, Pats lose, Bruins lose... great day for everyone outside of Boston!!!!
Marc (Charlotte)
Ryan, if Mickelson had popped his collar the President's Cup, would you have more respect for him?
Chris O'Donnell (Gutter)
Hey Buzz, have you checked out NCIS: Los Angeles yet? A few more episodes and I won't be digging in dumpsters for food anymore!
Greg (Ellicott City)
Somehow this is better than sports talk.
Matt (IN)
That was me, Clinton. I will take a "FAIL" for not remembering his name.
Cory (PA)
House is a good show, if you get past the formulaic episodes. Also, the more they try and humanize House the less I like it. Some monsters need to be elft as monsters.
Marc (Charlotte)
anyone translate crazy for mike randle?
Buzzmaster (10:34 AM)
Thank you. I was thinking that, but didn't feel like typing it.
Brian (Madison, WI)
On another note, Community is near getting the axe. From me, not sure how the NBC execs feel about it. Everytime I watch it I keep thinking I'll give it one more episode, I have a feeling its never going to hook me completely.
Buzzmaster (10:35 AM)
I've still got it on the DVR list. Still giving it a shot. But then again, I'll continue to give Chevy Chase a shot.
Pete (NC)
Watched CSI: Miami last night after a long hiatus. I quickly remembered why that show is just off the charts ridiculous. You don't solve murders in one day. The killer doesn't just confess.
Cory (PA)
THIS IS NOT SPARTA!!!
Chad (Las Vegas)
Fletch was the last decent thing Chevy Chase did.
Neighborhood Kids (CT)
Buzz, what are you giving out for Halloween this year, fatso?
Buzzmaster (10:36 AM)
A trick: disappearing scratches on your car courtesy of Billy Mays.
mari (OK by way of RI)
nbc has hurt their lineup with the jay leno slot..continual episodes of dateline and then canceling good shows like southland
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Wait, didn't he do Christmas Vacation after Fletch?
Andrew (Boston)
Two and a Half Men is still a great show as well. They have to get rid of Charlie's Fiancee . The show is alot funnier when Charlie is a womanizer
Buzzmaster (10:37 AM)
I like that they've downplayed the role of the kid a little. The things he says aren't funny now that he's just as big as the adults in the show.
Brian (Madison, WI)
I think Christmas Vacation is on tv tonight.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Okay, its it just me or does anyone else find it creepy to still be seeing Billy Mays commercials on TV?
Jon (California, MD)
Chad, I disagree. Chevy Chase is funny. Let's not his forget his cameo in Dirty Jobs, and the fact that he's rather comical in Community.....
Chad (Las Vegas)
Come to my house for Halloween I give out Snickers and Twix. Not the mini ones either. The real deal normal size ones.
stephanie (cincy)
You need to watch the "First 48" and see how real murders are solved, not with high tech labs, but good old fashioned hit the streets detective work.
mike randle (chicago il )
okay kyle orton one of the best qb in the league interception free and not being talked about the broncos are foreal
Buzzmaster (10:38 AM)
Can someone find out the crazy translator's hourly rate?
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Big Bang Theory has made my must-see list now. Sheldon is a great character.
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
Thinking about Christmas Vacation, I read somewhere that hollywood is thinking of a Vacation series reboot. This has Epic fail written all over it
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Grrrrr. People are bothering me.
JB (TX)
Fletch: 1985, Fletch lives and Christmas Vacation: 1989.
Chris (MPLS)
Mike Randle doesn't exist
Andrew (Boston)
Buzzmaster- I agree with you about Jake's role
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Orton's got one interception. Granted, it was an end-of-the-half hail mary that didn't hurt them at all, but it still is an interception. To quote Gene Wilder: YOU LOSE! YOU GET NOTHING! GOOD DAY, SIR!
Louis (Fredericton, NB)
I do not agree about putting Fletch lives in the same sentence as Fletch and Christmas vacation
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Just some guy wanting a job.
Chevy Chase (Hollywood)
Sorry about Fletch Lives guys, I needed a paycheck.
mike randle (chicago il )
i am leaving as u text see you guys in first take i guess this is where all the guys go that cant get post on first take bet you see my name at least 20 times
Jay (NYC)
Seems like Mike Randle might be one of the few sane, more mature ones of this chat. Although the orton comment was a stretch.
Chad (Las Vegas)
Oh Wait!!!! I forgot that Chevy Chase appeared on Chuck. That was the last decent thing he did because well it's Chuck.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Not a good time to be bothering me with something as trivial as employment.
Chris (MPLS)
Buzz, I have a midterm in an hour... any advice?
Buzzmaster (10:42 AM)
Just wing it.
Judge Smails (Bushwood)
Robbi, tell him, The world needs ditch diggers too!
Jon (California, MD)
Vegas Vacation anyone? Come on! Vegas Vacation is classic....
Cory (PA)
Problem with a "... Vacation" reboot is that it will inevitably star Vince Vaughn or Jack Black.
Buzzmaster (10:43 AM)
Instead of rebooting these classic movies, why don't they just re-release them into the theaters? If you're can't come up with any good ideas to make a new movie, then why bother spending the money to do an unimaginative remake?
Cory (PA)
Mike Randle is totally going to win first take. Don't even bother playing guys...
Ron (Va)
I repeat, Chevy Chase was good a comedian on SNL. His acting was too contrived. Sorry mbers for the big word.
Kevin (OH)
An old professor gave us the advice to do a shot before taking an exam...kill the pre-test nerves
Jon (California, MD)
Summer Rental was a classic vacation movie that starred John Candy. John Candy was a great actor....
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Fact: The guy that plays Leonard on Big Bang Theory (and was also on Roseanne) played Russ in Christmas Vacation.
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
Big Bang is a horrible show.
chris (Va)
if the redskins keep losing to WINLESS teams shouldnt we be considered the worst team in the nfl?
Deron (Colorado)
Hip Hip Jorge!!!!
stephanie (cincy)
IMO,for as funny as he was, John Candy never had a movie that really used him right. "Stripes being the exception and he had a pretty small role."
David T (Austell, GA)
wow kevin take a shot an have it hit you middle of the Test.. Nice Professor. :)
Ox (Stripes)
Hi, my name is Ox and as you can see, I have a bit of a weight problem.
Cory (PA)
chris that is a great question for Len Pasquarelli.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Nate and Brian must take a lot of tests.
David (Ottawa)
Worst team in the NFL is the Bucs...no questions asked. The WR's on that team couldn't catch a cold.
Lane Kiffin (Knoxville)
Buzz this chat is obviously off its game. I think it needs a flu shot.
JB (TX)
I never watch any of those CBS or NBC shows. This season of Curb, however, is shaping up to be classic.
Jack (Toronto)
Buzz, did you let the ONB sneak in a late punch?
Buzzmaster (10:49 AM)
Never. One of these days you guys will actually read my response to this question, which is always that when the ONB gets closed, it's closed for the rest of the chat.
Greg (Ellicott City)
Planes, Trains, Automobiles.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Ummm David have you seen the Raiders? Rams?
Cory (PA)
Great Outdoors...the steak scene plays through my head every time I see Man Vs. Food.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
steph: What roles would have been better for Candy? I found him well-used in anything I saw him in.
Kevin (OH)
John Candy was best in Home Alone, he played the poker king of the midwest
Buzzmaster (10:49 AM)
POLKA. Not poker.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
I thought Ox's line was: "I swallowed a lot of aggression...along with a lot of pizzas."
Clinton (Indianapolis)
*facepalm* Polka, Kevin. Polka.
JB (TX)
Buzz has a lot in common with John Candy. They're both, you know, fat.
CAL (St. Paul, MN)
I thought John Candy was pretty good in Uncle Buck.
Jon (California, MD)
Great Outdoors, classic.....
Marc (Charlotte)
Speaking of our resident Norm and Cliff, where are Nate and Brian today?
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Lunch: Sandwich, chips, and a soda.
Alex (Littleton, CO)
Lunch: Quizno's Sammies
Kevin (OH)
typo...excuse me
Kevin (OH)
typo typo, I could recite that entire movie if i wanted to
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
David (Ottowa): Despite their win this week, it's hard to defend a team whose QB plays an entire game and completes only two passes. The Browns are a bottom three team at best.
Neal (Philly)
John Candy was good in Cool Runnings
Kevin (OH)
Was the browns bills game the worst game ever played? Can we really even call it a win for the browns? Let's be honest here...everybody was a loser in that game
stephanie (cincy)
He was great in Planes Train and automobiles, until the movie went all sappy and ruined it.
Mike Golic (ESPN)
POTROAST!!!
Marc (Charlotte)
I don't think using the wrong word counts as a type-o.
Uncle Stache (Milwaukee)
The November 9 isn't a Polka competition?
Jon (California, MD)
Lunch: tunafish, grapes, and a granola bar. Odd.....
Scott (Brewtown)
polka - poker? Typo, I think not!
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
So I had to do some work. I return to John Candy is a poker king.
Kevin (OH)
What's it called when you are thinking the right word and the wrong word comes out? brain-fart?
David T (Austell, GA)
kevin I agree with you. coach - Mangenius - wants defense to win = No offense .. take no chances..
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Lunch: Red beans and rice, unsweet tea.
Browns (Cleveland)
*Lose, rinse and repeat*
Scott (Brewtown)
Lunch: Honey baked ham sandwich, Fritos and water
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
lunch: chicken, shrimp, pasta and sauce. grain spirit
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Lunch: Something healthy today after buffets this weekend and all-you-can-eat hoot dog day at work tomorrow.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
And nobody's mentioned his role in Spaceballs yet!
Lady Gaga (Recording Studio)
My, my, my, my, my, my polka face!
tom* (parkville, md)
My favorite John Candy performance: Splash. The "people don't fall in love everyday speech" is very underrated.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Ah yes, Barf the Mog. Half man, half dog. He was his own best friend.
stephanie (cincy)
I swear the first time I heard Lady GaGa, I thought she was saying "polka face"
tom* (parkville, md)
Do Joe Buck's nieces and nephews call him Uncle Buck?
Buzzmaster (10:55 AM)
I don't see how they couldn't.
stephanie (cincy)
I'm going to stab whoever sent in the Lady Gaga post
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
Buzz this chat wasn't worth my 1 hour. I demand compensation in the form of employment at ESPN.
Kevin (OH)
Lunch: Foot
Brian (Madison, WI)
I might be mistaken, but I think Joe Buck is an only child, therefore no nieces or nephews.
Marc (Charlotte)
Umm, wouldn't they call him Uncle Joe?
Buzzmaster (10:58 AM)
Normally, yes, but would the allure of the Uncle Buck mention be worth changing things up a bit?
JB (TX)
Lunch: something cheap. Also, how can you guys talk John Candy and leave out Planes, Trains, and Automobiles? I'm just sayin...
Cassie (Minot, ND)
Sapceballs is one of his best!
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Hate. Lady. Gaga.
Scott (Brewtown)
Have a swell day everyone!
Buzzmaster (10:59 AM)
OK. We're done here. Thanks for stopping by everyone. We'll be back again tomorrow morning. Until then, stay classy SportsNation!
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
They did say it JB.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Alright, everybody, take it easy and stay classy!
stephanie (cincy)
Didn't we cover Planes, Trains and Automobiles?
Alex (Littleton, CO)
I had an uncle with the last name Bucks. Died before I could appreciate any references.
Brian (Madison, WI)
I guess Joe Buck could have nieces and nephews through marriage.....
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Have a good Tuesday. Bye y'all.
David T (Austell, GA)
take care everyone
Brendan (Louisville, KY)
Just kidding Buzz, MNB always does down smooth. Later.
