Ogre2 should be here shortly to take your questions!
Buzzmaster (4:01 PM)
Ogre2 is here!
Justin (OK)
After all these years of playing, how do you get hyped up for playing?
Ogre2 (4:02 PM)
Energy drinks help. Seriously, I guess I'm just really competitive. Once I get to the tournament I just get there and want to win. I guess that just helps me get pumped up. The fans help too. The crowd. Playing in front of the crowd.
Joe (UK)
Are you dissapointed with your finish at Dallas and do you feel more confident now you've made a team change?
Ogre2 (4:03 PM)
Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with the Dallas finish. We finished 5th. We were in the 3rd through 5th range in the last few years. Now that we have Soviet on the team, we feel like we can make a push. He will help us in our objective game. Hopefully that will help in Anaheim.
Tate ((WV))
What made you want to make your gamertag Ogre? Are you a Shrek fan?
Ogre2 (4:04 PM)
No, it was really random. It was just something my brother picked 6-7 years ago. I think it was before Shrek came out. No, it's not because of Shrek. I'm No. 2 because I was born second. I am a Shrek fan though, but they are two unrelated things.
Eric Lara (Crown Point, IN)
Would you like to team with Ogre1 again? Is their a possibility?
Ogre2 (4:05 PM)
I don't know. That's pretty much up to him, if he wanted to play competitively again and wanted to win again. Then I'd probably want to play with him. But right now he's on the other side of the world in college right now. Chances are no.
jordan Magley (longmont CO)
how dose soviet fit on final boss? What dose he bring to the team?
Ogre2 (4:07 PM)
He's fitting really nicely. I feel like he's an extremely good objective player. He'll help us out a lot in the capture the flag games. He gets into the other teams base a lot, which Fear didn't do well for us. Fear's a great player and I think he'll fit in on his new team. Nothing knocking Fear's gameplay. We just had a lot of the same type of players on the team.
Ryan (Cape Coral, Florida)
Have you guys prepared for the newly added MLG map, Heretic?
Ogre2 (4:08 PM)
Yeah, we've been practicing on it. It feels nice because it's a remake of the Halo 2 map. All four of us played on it and did well. I think it will help us out. We've been practicing on it and it feels real good.
John (Wisconsin)
why has FB struggled to make it into the top 3this season?
Ogre2 (4:09 PM)
It's just a matter of not being clutch when we need to be. We've had some close calls in Game 5 to a team that wins the tournament or finishes second. It's a bunch of small things, nothing major. A combination of unlucky and unclutch in certain situations.
J (Nevada)
Two questions: 1 What's your favorite candy? 2 If you could be any comic book super hero who would it be and why?
Ogre2 (4:09 PM)
I like a lot of candy. Oh man...that's tough. Candy Corn. And, super hero? I would probably go with Batman.
Sean T (OH)
Who do you guys think is FB's biggest competition at Anaheim? What is your pick of the top 4 finishers?
Ogre2 (4:10 PM)
I would say Triggers Down, obviously. They're the No. 1 team right now. Luckily, they're on the other side of the bracket. Hopefully we'll see them in the winner's bracket finals. Str8 Rippin, Carbon and Instinct.
Newman (kcmo)
How much longer do you plan on playing halo?
Ogre2 (4:12 PM)
I really don't know. We'll have to find out, but I'm currently enrolling in school again. I will be going to OSU, I believe. It's not like I am going to quit to go back to school. I'm going to try and do both again. That was the thing that I thought would prevent me from doing it before.
James (ontario)
How much are you practicing? Does your past experience on Midship help you gain an advantage over other players on Heretic?
Ogre2 (4:13 PM)
We're trying to get on every night and play. We still don't have a LAN scheduled. All of the other teams we had scheduled can't LAN or have another one scheduled. So, we're trying to play online as much as we can, because we don't have a LAN scheduled.
Mike Houseknecht (Waterbury, CT)
Who would you say is the most valuable player in Halo right now?And who has the most individual slaying power?
Ogre2 (4:14 PM)
I'd say IGotUrPistola on Triggers Down. He's been the MVP of all three tournaments so far. That kind of says something about how he's doing this year. That kid is ridiculous. He's extremely positive every game. He rarely has a bad game.
Zach (Toronto)
What's your favorite part about getting back with Strongside?
Ogre2 (4:15 PM)
Probably all of the candy that's at his house when we go over there. There's a little minibar of candy every time. I'm starting to get grossed out, because it's always the same stuff so I don't know if he ever changes it out. It still tastes good. We've teamed before so we know what to expect from each other. That's pretty nice.
Wade (Ohio)
What do you think about the fans who bandwagon onto whatever team or player is doing good at the time?
Ogre2 (4:16 PM)
I think it's kind of stupid, personally. But there are people like that in every sport. Whatever team is doing well, they want to watch them. But that happens in every sport, not just MLG. I wouldn't do that. But of course, I don't watch as many sports as I used to.
Eric (NC)
What would you say to all the people who question Final Boss' playstyle?
Ogre2 (4:17 PM)
I don't know, I think a lot of them don't really know what they're talking about. If anything, if we really do have a playing style, we're just as aggressive as some of the top teams. I think a lot of people think we're a passive team. I think it's just a failed attempt by our players. It's failed pushes, not no pushes. Bad team chemistry.
brian (huntington beach)
How does it feel not playing with your brother after all those years?
Ogre2 (4:18 PM)
I dont' know. I haven't really thought about it. It's not that weird. I'm playing with other people that I've known in the community and have been friends with for years. It's not like I'm out there all alone. I haven't put too much thought into it, but it hasn't been that long yet.
Venkat (India)
Which map would you like to see get removed from MLG?
Ogre2 (4:19 PM)
I'm not a big Construct fan. It's probably my least favorite map.
Spencer (College Station)
How does it feel to be one of the MLG community's most respected players?
Ogre2 (4:20 PM)
I didn't know I was. It feels pretty good. I guess because I'm one of the oldest players. It's not something I normally think about, how respected I am.
Ogre2 (4:20 PM)
I guess it's nice to know that.
Nick (NJ)
When ever I see you play your always calm how do you stay so calm in tight situations
Ogre2 (4:21 PM)
I never really have had trouble with pressure. I wouuld say experience helps, but even when I first started doing the professional gaming thing I never really felt pressure. Maybe it's because I played sports growing up. I played soccer and handled the pressure.
Ben boston
do you play any other games? Sprots games?
Ogre2 (4:22 PM)
I'm actually not a big sports game fan. I used to play sports games a lot. I play some RPGs with my friends. I play some Starcraft here and there on the computer.
Ogre2 (4:22 PM)
For those that are still our fans and not jumping on other bandwagons, it's nice to have you. Hopefully we'll do you well in Anaheim. Look out for my newly acquired Bumper Jumper.
