Buzzmaster (2:57 PM)
Hey everyone, Paul is stuck in traffic, so he's going to be about 15 minutes late. But don't worry, he's still coming!
Paul Kuharsky (3:13 PM)
Apologize for the delay. How's everyone?
Will (The Woodlands, TX)
How much do you think the Owen Daniels/James Casey injuries will affect the Texans for the rest of the season?
Paul Kuharsky (3:13 PM)
Casey isn't missing much. Daniels hurts a lot. But they have enough they can overcome it.
Ryan (Orlando)
Will the Colts lose a AFC South Game this year? I Think Not
Paul Kuharsky (3:14 PM)
Could lose at Houston.
Ulises (San Antonio)
Is a Texan win this week the only way to determine if they have turned "the corner?"
Paul Kuharsky (3:14 PM)
No. They get the Colts again in a month at home, that would be almost as big.
Larry Johnson (Kansas City, MO)
Why is everyone always hating on me? Do you think I deserve it?
Paul Kuharsky (3:15 PM)
Everyone hating on you, or you hating on everyone?
Chris (Brentwood, TN)
I've been reading multiple articles that claim that Bud Adams' Vince Young mandate has created an irreparable rift in his and Fisher's relationship. Is there anything to make of this?
Paul Kuharsky (3:16 PM)
I read one. I believe David Climer said it COULD, not that it DID. Remains to be seen. I suspect not.
Kevin Costner (Hollywood)
so, when are we co-hosting that AFC South blog meet and greet? We'll be like Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin but we'll be hosting something more manly.
Paul Kuharsky (3:16 PM)
You say when and where, since you are the big star.
Alexander (Jacksonville)
Will a couple of Orlando home games broaden the market for the Jacksonville Jaguars?
Paul Kuharsky (3:16 PM)
Can't narrow it.
Jared Cook (MIA)
Where have I been? I was so good in the pre-season.
Paul Kuharsky (3:17 PM)
Mike Heimerdinger told Nashville radio host Mark Howard that you haven't been the same since the ankle injury, aren't as reliable, etc. Disappointing.
Resurrektion (Indy)
Who has the advantage in having a bigger game versus the opposing defense: Johnson or Wayne?
Paul Kuharsky (3:18 PM)
I would suspect Wayne, as I am a lot less impressed with Houston's DBs. But I love Bernard Pollard, the subject of my column today and a real difference maker.
Razel (Texas)
Woot, glad you made it paul I have to go to work in a few! Since the Titans have 2 franchise tags you think maybe Keith gets one? Everyone keeps saying he's lost a step and if its true isn't he still pretty good to keep around? Thx paul
Paul Kuharsky (3:19 PM)
They have two IF there is no cap. If that is the scenario, he could get one or they could decide to turn the roster over and go young.
Vince Young (Nashville)
If I win 8 games which i think is dooable will i still be traded?
Paul Kuharsky (3:19 PM)
You're not getting traded. Most likely: Released. Second possibility: Stay.
Drake (Columbia, SC)
In several articles since Sunday's game I've read Manning getting some rest from practice last Friday is nothing to be worried about. I'm fine with that and all, but I'd still like to know why Manning was tossing the ball to Addai when they ran the sweep play. Manning did that last year when he knee prevented him from being able to get over to the numbers, so whether he had rest form practice or not, is the toss on the stretch play a sign of his knee being a problem again?
Paul Kuharsky (3:20 PM)
They say he's not hurt, I have not been lied to by them about injuries and believe what they say.
Chris (Dearborn,MI)
Good afternoon Paul. What are your thoughts about the RB situation in Houston? Do you think Slaton will start? Do you think he lost his job this week? Do you think Slaton will be in the slot used as a reciever to make up for the loss of Daniels? Thanks Chris
Paul Kuharsky (3:21 PM)
Just me speculating: Moats starts, Slaton plays as third down back, splitting out as a receiver sometimes. Provided he wasn't putting the ball on the ground this week.
Ryan (Orlando)
Will Peyton win MVP again?
Paul Kuharsky (3:21 PM)
Probably.
John (Denver)
Paul, I know it is only 1 week, but what did you think of VY's performance? Seems like a classic game from him, not many passing yards, a few rushing 1st downs, most importantly a win
Paul Kuharsky (3:22 PM)
He was very solid. The 49ers will be a much tougher test.
Dave (Canada)
Should the NFL get rid of those field goal nets and let fans have souvenir footballs?
Paul Kuharsky (3:22 PM)
I like it. But on a cold day, someone not paying attention could get clunked in the head and hurt, so they'd never do it.
Don (AL)
Even though their schedule may not have be brutal, I've been inpressed with the Colts D. They have been without 3/4ths of their secondary at times, Brackett was out of couple of games, they let Ed Johnson go, and Freeney was playing hurt. Am I being overly impressed?
Paul Kuharsky (3:23 PM)
I'm also impressed. Next month will tell us more.
Dave (Canada)
In honour of your beloved Yankees I ask this question; If the NFL loses its salary cap which owner is most likely to ruin the sport by buying championships?
Paul Kuharsky (3:24 PM)
There are a lot of measure that kick in to offset no cap. It's not going to be the wild West. Two franchise tags, limitations on ability of top teams to add free agents until they lose them, six years instead of four for free agency. Things are not going to go totally crazy.
Seth (Denver)
How much credit should Larry Coyer get for the performance of the Colts defense this year?
Paul Kuharsky (3:24 PM)
Well, the personnel is largely the same..
Ed (Arkansas)
When 'dinger says that Cook hasn't been the same since the injury, does that mean that he isn't quite over the injury or that it's possibly in his head causing him to play differently now that he's healthy?
Paul Kuharsky (3:25 PM)
He's healthy now.
Tim Graham (AFC East)
I was a wizard for Halloween. What were you?
Paul Kuharsky (3:25 PM)
A stay at home dad.
Charles (Goodlettsville)
I know this is out there, but if you had to pick between Troy Smith or Tyler Thigpen as a possible qb for the Titans next season, who would you choose?
Paul Kuharsky (3:25 PM)
Thigpen. They can do better, though.
Matt (IN)
So, Mrs PK is a Phillie fan and you're a Yankee fan. Any icy-ness in the house? Hell hath no fury like a woman whose favorite baseball team has just lost the WS to her husband's favorite team, or something like that.
Paul Kuharsky (3:26 PM)
So far, so good. She's not a Yankee hater, fortunately.
Billy (Worcester, Mass)
Do you think the lack of media attention in Jacksonville is hurting there attendance. I mean no one talks about them not even ESPN, but they talk about teams like Detroit and Oakland who's arrow has been pointing down for a long while now. Your Thought?
Paul Kuharsky (3:28 PM)
I think I am constantly amazed by peoples' perceptions of media coverage. You think the Lions and Raiders are getting a ton of coverage? The Raiders are getting some because of Cable issues and dysfunction. The Jags are getting all the attention they deserve.I linked earlier today to a huge piece we did on the state of the team and the city. I spend a quarter of my time considering the Jaguars. What aren't we covering that should be covered?
Big Bill (Nashville)
Any truth to the rumors that there was a deal in place to bring Gregg Williams to the Titans in the offseason, but but squashed it because Gregg wanted to bring his son with him? Gotta love what Gregg is doing with the Saints...
Paul Kuharsky (3:29 PM)
I believe that's true, and I really like Gregg Williams. But I think it's ridiculous that a coaching candidate would expect a team to hire his son as part of the deal.
Ed (Arkansas)
You say that Vince Young being released is the most likely scenario, but doesn't Bud Adams' mandate that he be the starting QB after the bye week imply that perhaps, in Bud's eyes at least, that ship hasn't quite left the dock? Wouldn't a reworked contract be more in line with what we've seen from the owner?
Paul Kuharsky (3:30 PM)
The owner says let's see. The coach and his coordinator have clearly made up their minds. I believe they will ultimately see more of what prompted those decisions, and the owner will have to see as well.
Rich (LA)
When Peyton Manning wins his 4th MVP this year should they name the award after him?
Paul Kuharsky (3:31 PM)
Um, no.
Isaac (cleveland, ohio)
i was just wondering if the titans ever considered putting chris johnson back to return kicks. he was an excellent return man at east carolina, and i havent heard one person bring it up through all the special teams issues this year, and now we signed chris davis who has been pretty average. i dont think it would hurt to give chris johnson a couple more touches a game, im just thinkin maybe they're worried about him getting injured, what do you think?
Paul Kuharsky (3:32 PM)
I think it's not worth risking him getting hurt. And I am sure that's why they haven't thought about it.
Bill Polian (My Office)
Hey Paul, I expect the Colts to finish November still undefeated as we are getting healthier at some key positions. What do you expect (Texans, Pats, Ravens, Texans)? Some "friends" of mine think we'd be doing well to get out of the month at 2 and 2.
Paul Kuharsky (3:33 PM)
I think they lose one, maybe two.
rick (nashville)
Young actually looked decent vs Jax...what's it going to take for him to stay on the roster in 2010?
Paul Kuharsky (3:33 PM)
Five or six more games like that or better?
Ryan B. (Kokomo, IN)
Could you please speak on the consistency of the Colts for over a decade? They have started 7-0 in 4 of the past 5 consecutive seasons, won 12 games 6 years in a row, and are in the midst of a 16 game regular season win-streak, not to mention that they also won 11 in a row in 1999 and 13 in a row in 2005. What can other teams learn from their model?
Paul Kuharsky (3:33 PM)
Tremendous eras for them. What can other teams learn? Get a Manning and a Polian.
Ryan B. (Kokomo, IN)
Paul, Other than the QBs, who do you think will be the "X" factor in the outcome of the Colts/Texans games this weekend?
Paul Kuharsky (3:34 PM)
The guys who rush the quarterbacks.
Tim Graham (AFC East)
I just wanted to point out that they should name the ESPN NFL Blogger MVP Award after me. I've owned the award.
Paul Kuharsky (3:35 PM)
It it a wizard or dragon trophy? Or one of those funny dice?
JL (Hoboken, NJ)
If Rod Hood continues to hold his own does he stay at the starting corner spot once Harper is healthy or does Fisher remain faithful to Harper?
Paul Kuharsky (3:35 PM)
B.
David (NY)
Mark Sanchez, Jamarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, Matthew Stafford, Vince Young. Who do you want as your QB of the future?
Paul Kuharsky (3:35 PM)
Off that list only Sanchez and Stanford make the cut, and I think I'd lean Stafford though I like both.
Scott (Fort Walton, FL)
With Cortland Finnigan and Fuller back, do you think the passing defense will be alot better?
Paul Kuharsky (3:36 PM)
Already was.
Scott (Fort Walton, FL)
How will the AFC south look if the Jags go to Hollywwod?
Paul Kuharsky (3:36 PM)
The same for a while. Then maybe you swap them with the Rams?
Harish (Fargo ND)
Do you see a big impact of haglers injury on colts D?
Paul Kuharsky (3:37 PM)
Hard to know. They do awfully well with next man up. But Wheeler sure didn't seize the day in the offseason/ preseason.
Joe (Indianapolis)
How do you like Jerraud Powers for Rookie of the Year? It almost goes unnoticed that he is a rookie starting on a top defense against the pass.
Paul Kuharsky (3:38 PM)
I don't understand this constant thing where all this good stuff allegedly "goes unnoticed." He's been great. People have noticed. He doesn't have all the interceptions the kid in Buffalo has either, and people have noticed that as well.
clay (Nashville)
If VY goes 6-4 or 7-3 this year, and Bud wants to keep him, but JF still thinks he is not the long term answer, what happens?
Paul Kuharsky (3:38 PM)
They argue.
Aaron (Bloomington, IN)
If the Colts skill players stay healthy at the end of the season, do you see them trading Addai(I figure they'd want to keep the younger back) away and possibly one of our receivers? I know they don't make many large trades but it seems like we may have more talent than is really needed on offense(if we stay healthy, knock on wood). Do you see the Colts pursuing any trades for some defense or OL?
Paul Kuharsky (3:39 PM)
I see them attempting to fix things through the draft and playing their best guys.
JohnB (Austin,TX)
Texans have been close in their games against Indy as of late. DO you think with their defense stepping up that they'll be able to man handle the Colts for 2 wins?
Paul Kuharsky (3:40 PM)
No way. The Texans don't really manhandle ever when they are at their best. And I do not see them sweeping the Colts, no.
Charles (Goodlettsville)
Who's more disfunctional right now; Oakland, Washington, or Cleveland?
Paul Kuharsky (3:40 PM)
1) Oakland2) Cleveland3) WashingtonHeck of a competition, though.
Dustin (Stanford CA)
Why was Britt under utilized in the Jacksonville game?
Paul Kuharsky (3:41 PM)
I saw him make a great catch to convert a key third down.
DB (indy)
It seems to me that the rookie corners for Indy play a lot tighter coverage than Hayden and Jackson typically did over the past few years. You think that is a schematic change with Coyer or a difference in individual ability?
Paul Kuharsky (3:41 PM)
That is an excellent question I will need to explore.
Dustin (Stanford CA)
Why can't CJ do what he did to Jacksonville every game?
Paul Kuharsky (3:42 PM)
Other teams play better defense and tackle better.
Billy (Worcester, Mass)
I'm talking about attention as a whole. Watch ESPN allday and write down how many times you hear Jacksonville Jaguars. here's an example. On halloween the show First Take did a trick or treat segment about teams with an even record (3-3) and talked about each one but the Jaguars. Why? I don't want to sound like i'm whinning, but I always had these questions the only difference is i know where to ask them now.
Paul Kuharsky (3:43 PM)
You do seem like you are whining. I can offer several suggestions as to what to do instead of watching First Take and keeping score.
Scott (Fort Walton, FL)
Will CJ be in the talk for MVP this year, he is leading the league in rushing, and has been consistant all year?
Paul Kuharsky (3:43 PM)
No. MVPs play for playoff teams, usually. Too many guys having great years on good teams.
Anthony Gonzalez (Columbus, IN)
Why are the Colts being so vague about my recovery time, and what is this talk of a "second opinion"? Will i play again this year?
Paul Kuharsky (3:44 PM)
Have you met the Colts. Vague is what they do on injuries. They certainly expect you to play again or they wouldn't be holding your roster spot.
Ben Troupe (Franklin)
Do you think Cook will have a better career with the Titans than I did?
Paul Kuharsky (3:44 PM)
Yes.
Resurrektion (Indy)
Is Joseph Addai throwing the ball out of the back field a play they should consider more often?
Paul Kuharsky (3:44 PM)
Why? Their quarterback is one of the best ever at it.
Eric (Indy)
Last week Polian said that he looks to get a player that runs at least a 4.4 40yd dash to return kicks. Is Silva that guy? He and Chad Simpson can't possibly run a 4.4! Do you think this will be an area they finally address in the draft? Maybe someone like Areanas from Alabama?
Paul Kuharsky (3:45 PM)
They haven't emphasized it all this time. With such trends I usually don't predict a big philosophy change.
Casey (Springfield, VA)
LenDale White says the Titans will go 7-0 over their next seven games, besides laughing that off, how do you explain White's lack of success this year?
Paul Kuharsky (3:46 PM)
Fewer opportunities and Titans rarely playing with a lead.
Dustin (Stanford CA)
You say other teams play better defense and tackle better. Would you not agree that the 50 yarder was just a perfectly blocked toss play? and if so shouldn't they do that more?
Paul Kuharsky (3:47 PM)
Toss play against Jags who don't penetrate can be great. Against Niners who do penetrate could be five-yard loss.
Robbie (Virginia)
Can we just say Manning is the best qb ever yet? I understand he doesn't have a lot of championships, but his team has been the definition of great for like 6 or 7 years, and no team in the history of the nfl has relied so much on one player in so many ways. Give him his props!!!!
Paul Kuharsky (3:48 PM)
He may be the best ever. But I don't understand the rush, and I don't think a team being super reliant, perhaps overly reliant, on a guy makes him somehow greater.
Big Bill (Nashville)
How many more times hearing the Jags or Titans should draft Tebow will it take before you go insane? I think for me it's a bout one.
Paul Kuharsky (3:48 PM)
Not going to be my favorite thing.
TJ (Ft. Myers)
You posted an article link today that suggested Austin Collie be in ROtY conversation. Do you believe that?
Paul Kuharsky (3:49 PM)
No. He's good, but not that good.
Nick (Old Hickory, TN)
I dont see why you people (journalists) hat on VY, he came out as a junior, had a good rookie year, had a good 2007, and now you think he will be released. I think with our D playin well we can make a good run and Vince, with 4 years under his belt will shine, why dont yall give him a chance.
Paul Kuharsky (3:51 PM)
A good 07: 17 picks and nine touchdowns. Man would I hate to see what a mediocre or bad year looks like to you.
Matt (IN)
Any comment on the Niners and their "leg cramps"? I thought Spikes's looked legit, but that first guy clearly looked like he was faking. Yes, I am running the risk of angering the Chat Ref, but man that looked suspicious....
Paul Kuharsky (3:51 PM)
Definitely dirty pool. How do you officiate it? Ed?
Jon (Beaumont, Tx)
Do you see Texans @ Colts as a high-scoring battle between elite offenses or will the defenses step up?
Paul Kuharsky (3:52 PM)
I have a feeling it'll be more defensive than most people think.
James (Indy)
Both Indy and Houston have horrible pass-to-run ratios. Is it too simple to say that the team who either sticks with the run the most or has more success wins on Sunday?
Paul Kuharsky (3:52 PM)
If that teams runs poorly, then yes it's too simple.
Charles (Goodlettsville)
You're a Northeast kind of guy. Can you tell us which sandwich joint in the AFC south measures up?
Paul Kuharsky (3:53 PM)
Love Jersey Mikes, of course. Don't do a lot of sandwiches in the other three cities -- Cajun or Mex in Houston, Italian in Indy and fish in Jax.
Chris (Nashville)
What are the odds that an AFC South team would allow for HBO's Hard Knocks to be done on them (particularly the Titans)? What all goes into the selection of the team or who allows their team to be taped. Is it seen as a distraction, because Cincinatti has sure been great?
Paul Kuharsky (3:54 PM)
Jags were part of it once. They'd be a possibility because they need attention. Titans and Colts would never do it. I don't think Texans would but they might.
Eric (Indy)
Weekend forcast says it will be partly cloudy and around 67degrees sunday in Indy. Do you think the roof will be open and the shadows being a factor?
Paul Kuharsky (3:55 PM)
Don't know, but I don't think they will make decisions based on shadows. Tell me again why they needed a retractable roof?
Chad (H-town)
Do you think Kevin Walter will be more involved with the offense with OD out?
Paul Kuharsky (3:55 PM)
I do.
Awayne (INDY)
Men Who Stare At Goats,a good flick or a trailer wonder?
Paul Kuharsky (3:56 PM)
Curious to hear some reviews. Honestly, what's Clooney done that's bad?
Jon (Indy)
Why does it seem that Polian can't draft O-linemen anymore. First Ugoh, and now Pollak are struggling.
Paul Kuharsky (3:56 PM)
Not his best work. Sure Mudd's signed off on those too.
Jeff (Jacksonville)
So do you think the Jags play better this week and beat the Chiefs? Will MJD get more carries this week and can he maintain his 22 yard per carry average he had in Nashville?
Paul Kuharsky (3:57 PM)
I do think they will play better, and I do think they are better than KC. But KC, I am sure, see this as a big chance.
The Real James in Indy (Indy)
Imposters!! Erroneous!! Erroneous o nall counts!!!! Make the pick PK. Colts or Texans?
Paul Kuharsky (3:58 PM)
I don't generally pick games and i won't be picking this one. It give me a great feeling of freedom. unshackles by a pick, I don't find myself rooting for it to come true.
Jeff (Minneapolis)
Paul do you hate the Broncos or just hate answering questions about them? Or both?
Paul Kuharsky (3:58 PM)
This is an AFC South chat, that's the primary reason I don't talk a lot of Broncos. Don't see a lot of Broncos either.
Jeff Fisher (Baptist Sports Park)
Do I hold grudges against players or just too loyal to a fault?
Paul Kuharsky (3:59 PM)
You are far more loyal than grudge-holding.
Ryan (Alexander)
how many games to the texans have to win to make a wild card...10 or 11?
Paul Kuharsky (3:59 PM)
Yes.
Jon (Beaumont, Tx)
B-Cush has won defensive player of the week honors twice in his first 8 NFL games. Last player to win twice in his rookie season was Ed Reed. Not bad for a guy that missed the entire preseason.
Paul Kuharsky (3:59 PM)
Very impressive. Looking forward to seeing him in action this weekend.
Ed Hochuli (Chat Ref)
The players who went down with leg cramps may or may not have been feigning their injuries. It is nearly impossible to tell and far too much of a judgment call to enforce the rules that is on the books. Willie McGinest was the king of this, but how can one judge it as such. Have I covered enough ground to give my response yet? Oh yeah, what am I calling again? Oh, very well probably was dirty pool PK. I move that a new rule be instituted that if a player leaves the field for an "injury" he must remain on the sidelines for that entire series, not just one play.
Paul Kuharsky (4:00 PM)
This is why you are the best in the business. Also your guns are intimidating. Albert Haynesworth gets a lot of rest this way as well.
Phil (Iowa)
49ers for real? Not buying it yet but they did play Indy tight, or was this just a bad game for the Colt?
Paul Kuharsky (4:01 PM)
Smart plan well executed. But rare to be asked if a team that lost is "for real."
Stash (Fishers upper lip)
O brother where art thou sucked
Paul Kuharsky (4:01 PM)
True. That's one. And I forgot about it. Probably to save myself some pain.
Mike (Indy)
With Edge free can we kick Mike Hart off the roster and pick him up? He's still a decent short yardage back, hard runner. Also to your point about Clooney, uh, his Batman was terrible.
Paul Kuharsky (4:02 PM)
I liked his Batman. Let go of sentiment. Edge is not coming back to the Colts.
jason (nebraska)
football should learn from baseball that a one game playoff format doesnt work you need a series
Paul Kuharsky (4:02 PM)
Yes, the football playoffs and Super Bowl have really been struggling to get people interested. If it could capture the imagination of America, it might really take off!
Jon (Indy)
Is Donald Brown supposed to be back this weekend? I think it's pretty obvious that they are a better team with him on the field.
Paul Kuharsky (4:04 PM)
He was not on the injury report Wednesday, which is a good development for sure.
Finley (via mobile)
You make the call, man: Move to LA or Move to LA?
Paul Kuharsky (4:05 PM)
We are staying!
Jeff (Minneapolis)
yeah but you're good at answering questions Bill answers like 9 in an hour.
Paul Kuharsky (4:06 PM)
Bill answers or Bill questions? I honestly don't study the names or keep score. I pick the best questions or the ones I have the most to say about or the ones I have a big opinion on. If Bill is on fire, good for Bill!
Casey (Springfield, VA)
When Addai's contract runs out do you see the Colts re-signing him or sticking with Donald Brown?
Paul Kuharsky (4:07 PM)
I don't see them going away from Donald Brown. Addai won't likely command a big contract. They could keep him too, possibly.
Mike (Indy)
Considering Vandenbosch's poor season is it safe to say that without the need to double Haynesworth he's being exposed as simply middle of the road in terms of pass rushers?
Paul Kuharsky (4:10 PM)
When Albert was suspended, KVB had one two-sack game and one 12-tackle game. Early on Albert benefited from KVB. He's not been very good this season, but the guy has been a quality rusher on his own.
Jon (Beaumont, Tx)
Any chance the Rams could replace the Colts in the AFC South?
Paul Kuharsky (4:11 PM)
Why?
Melvin B ((Colts Complex))
Bob took my starting spot! Any chance we could both be playing on the field at the same time on a regular basis (just not Nickel or Dime 3rd down formations)?
Paul Kuharsky (4:11 PM)
And bench Bethea? No. Bullitt is great, there is just no where to put him.
Matt (IN)
Are you absolutely sure Manning is ok? I mean, he missed several deep balls last Sunday, which is unusual for him. It was similar to how he looked at the beginning last year with the deep ball.
Paul Kuharsky (4:12 PM)
No I am not absolutely sure. But if a guy has a bad game, I do not automatically conclude he's hurt.
Brian (Paducah,Ky)
Hello, first post ever here...would McFadden be an ok pickup..already have AP, Benson, Addai, Wells, Buckhalter, and Green at rb...Thanks
Paul Kuharsky (4:12 PM)
I wouldn't touch him, personally.
Awayne (INDY)
Should every kid in college that plays wide reciever watch the Colts Titans and see how two of the best in the NFL do their job and don't act like clowns?
Paul Kuharsky (4:13 PM)
Who's the Titan that's one of the best?
Eric (Indy)
Kicker question! Stover is looking pretty automatic so far. Do you think the Colts hold on to him if AV were to come back soon? What about after the season?
Paul Kuharsky (4:14 PM)
I don't think they want to collect multiple kicker s who don't have big range, no.
Ed (Arkansas)
Oh Brother Where Art Thou was an excellent movie. Clooney as a loquacious know-it-all worked very well. The loose parody of the Odyssey played amazingly well in a depression-era south. What sucked about it exactly? It was hilarious!
Paul Kuharsky (4:14 PM)
Wasn't my cup of tea. Good job by him anyway, perhaps.
Stan (Indy)
Speaking of Bethea, wouldn't the Colts be smart to let Sanders go in the offseason, so they can re-sign Bethea and have he and Bullitt at safety together for the next 5-6 years? I'd rather have two good safeties, than one who is always hurt, and needs to prove that he's still great anyway.
Paul Kuharsky (4:16 PM)
And I would think the Texans would have to be a threat to sign Bethea if he's free. Yeah, big decisions coming for Colts. But they might just keep who's under contract and find the next Bethea or Bullitt.
Jevon Kearse (Nashville TN)
Have I played my last down as a Titan?
Paul Kuharsky (4:16 PM)
Barring injuries, I suspect so.
Mike (Indy)
How cool would it be for Indy to beat Baltimore in Baltimore on a last second Stover field goal?
Paul Kuharsky (4:17 PM)
That would be something.
Sean (Jacksonville, FL)
Nice article on the Jaguars, but I think a more positive view in the media could be beneficial to the team. Every writer jumps on the bandwagon of knocking the city (the easy thing to do) and that only makes matters worse.
Paul Kuharsky (4:18 PM)
So writers should fabricate something to pump up a bad situation? Blackouts are blackouts, chief. What's the positive spin we are all missing. Please clue me in.
Jesse (Nashville TN)
Are Jeff Fisher and Mike Singletary friends? they played together in Chicago I think.. I wonder if this week will be a nice reunion for them?
Paul Kuharsky (4:18 PM)
Friendly, sure. Christmas cards probably. Joint family vacations? No.
Todd (LaVergne,TN.)
Whats the deal with bringing Chris Davis and Cary Williams back? Are these just 2 more Titan "hanger-ons" that will get released in a year or 2 and never pan out or have you seen anything in the 2 that warrants keeping them?
Paul Kuharsky (4:19 PM)
They aren't long term guys, no. Better than what else is available for back end of the roster and familiar with what they will be asked to do.
Paul Kuharsky (4:20 PM)
OK folks. Enjoyed it as always, Sorry about the push back. Hit the mailbag. Friend me on Facebook. Follow me on Twitter. Click the blog. Enjoy the games.
