All it takes is for one person to be bad for a play to go bad. Plus Shaun Rogers is a disruptive force in the middle. There was small improvement in the running game. The 3.5 per carry is nothing to write home about.

There's a big assumption a guy will improve every single season. This may be the top of Knox. This may be the best-case scenario. I believe he'll progress and become smarter, position himself better, but I don't think he'll ever be a Pro Bowl receiver. But a solid No. 2.

What was going on between Cutler and the brown's def. cor. late in the 4th quarter? Looked like a pretty heated debate between the two. and then seeme as nothing ever happened when they met mid field after the game.

Emotions fly on game day. The two were jawing at each other, and when the next play started, basically it was over. They have some history, and they have a mutual respect for each other. That doesn't stop you from having an emotional outburst.

Jurko, do you think the Bears can make the necessary changes in their Cover 2 defense and cover the middle of the field in order to prevent Warner from tearing up the Bears as many other QBs already have this year?

The Tampa 2 is a defense you play when you're ahead and you saw what the Bears were able to do with it yesterday - when in the lead. Messing up the timing of the receivers by jamming them at the line or re-routing them is a way to help the Cover 2 defense.

Theoretically Forte is your stud back. Has great hands and can catch the ball. The only reason you need Wolfe is 7-10 plays to spell Forte.

Why not bench Pace? He has been awful. Williams has been bad too, but how about putting Schaefer at RT and Williams at his natural LT position? Also, I don't care what excuses people give Ron Turner, he makes good players average and decent pl;ayers horrible. As lomg as he stays, no free agent offensive player will want to come to Chicago. That's a fact.

I disagree. WRs will look at the Bears because of Cutler. I agree any shuffling on the OL would be good. Pace is worse than Omiyale at this point in his career. I think both players would be capable of stepping in at those positions and being at least as productive as the current players.

Shanahan will never be in here becuase he would be the replacement for Lovie eventually. Lovie would neve agree to that. If Shanahan comes in, it would be as head coach.

I don't think this game proved anything for the Bears, besides the offense is still awful and the defense played good against the worst Offense in the NFL. OK so will hear Cutler is a "tough guy" and Forte had a couple of TD's...but no way Cutler should have been holding the ball and sacked as much as he was against one of the worst teams in the league. The O-Line was again getting blown up and Forte had to earn everything, at least maybe he got some confidence back. Aaron Rodgers picked apart the blitz like nothing last week against the Browns, your telling me that the Browns got that much better on D in one week, not likely.

Tell me which experts said the Bears offense is better than the Packers' offense. Nobody ever said that. The only thing this game proved is the Bears could beat a bad team. The Bears don't have to apologize for that. Hopefully the best football is yet to be played. And this is only based on hope.

What do you feel about the upcoming week vs. the Cardinals? What are the Bears chances and where else must the improvements be made in the o-line? I was dissapointed to see the Cardinals lose because they are now gonna come into Chicago and give the Bears their best effort.

Even though Warner is a veteran, he gets confused at times. He's also overly reliant on the checkdown. Todd Haley is a former Bears assistant so the Cardinals will not be overlooking the Bears and they got their butts handed to them, so we'll see their best effort. Because the Bears are at home, I believe that will give them the advantage.

He's become tentative. Because there have been no holes. I wish I could tell you he's a better back but Jerry Angelo once said Anthony Thomas is not special, Forte may be falling into this category.

Jurko-As a Chicago transplant, I love listening to youe guys in the afternoon on the espn app on my phone. Here is my question: The Bears gave up 4 sacks to the Browns and it often looked like the lineman had no idea how to adjust. Do you think it would be better to keep McKie in more and help either lead block/pass protect instead of leaving Forte back there with 3 wides. So far that strategy has not worked. What are your thoughts? Thanks

Communication on the OL is the best way to protect your quarterback. The QB understanding where the unblocked guy is coming from will help him decide when to get rid of the ball. When there is confusion in these two areas, Cutler wil get hit in the mouth. That's not even counting when they just plain beat you. Eliminate the mental mistakes, and you will then eliminate unnecessary shots on your quarterback.

Jurko, What do the Bears need to do in the redzone to score touchdowns? They seem very predictable, and the Browns defense looked like the Steelers against the Bears yesterday in being a step ahead of what we were doing. There is no excuse from the one yard line not to score a TD, I don't care how good a teams defense is playing.

I agree you should score from there, but when Ron Turner looks on his playcall list and 31 other teams in the NFL run those same plays, you would think the Bears would be able to punch the ball in. Unfortunately, this aged, inexperienced, non-jelling OL is the one Ron Turner has to deal with. Individual players making plays will get the ball into the end zone.

If you win, you stay. If you don't make the playoffs, it has got to be considered a disappointment. The guy who's not under the microscope but needs to be is Jerry Angelo. He's responsible for the players on this team. And as I keep pointing out, the talent level is not that great. So Lovie shouldn't take the fall.

Jurko, sorry just venting a little bit. I just would have expected more out of the Bears O yesterday. The Packers O-Line is almost as bad as the Bears, the only real difference is the WR corp the Packers have. Cutler has more expereince than Aaron so I would just have expected him to perform better against the Browns.

Cutler's trying to get things done with a hammer and a screwdriver, when you need a nailgun and a pneumatic drill. He's got all the tools, but the rest of the team does not. That's where your dilemma lies. Aaron Rodgers would be a lot better if they had a competent OL in front of him.

After watching the game, and seeing that the D-Line was a little more active this game, I still feel Tommie Harris is lost out there. He used to be a man that required a double team. Going back as week 1 against the packers (which have an awful line), til now, I have seen TH get blocked by a single O-lineman. What has to change for Tommie to get back to his beast like self? Because, as he goes, I believe the Defense goes.

For the final time, Tommie Harris will never be the player he once was. Injuries have taken their toll. You'll be likely to see a couple of flashes every game. I predict he'll be a salary cap casualty on June 1, 2010.

After seeing Cutler, get hit and start bleeding from the mouth, I noticed that he doesn't wear a mouth piece. I can't recall a player not wearing one, at least besides kickers. So why doesn't Cutler wear one, since the O-line will continue to have him get hit.

There are a lot of players who don't wear mouthpieces or cups. Mouthpiece doens't protect you from biting your tongue. You were a mouthpiece to prevent concussions.

Because he doesn't go get the ball. He plays shorter than his 6-5 frame, and he plays slower than his 4.5 speed. Not exacatly the attributes of a future Pro Bowl tight end.

Maybe ultimately that's inevitable. Lovie will not coach here for the next 10 years, so in your scenario, you prefer it would happen now than later. But the next head coach will be saddled with no draft choices and the intelligence of Jerry Angelo to acquire free agents. Certainly not the best-case scenario for any new coach.
